L'Ambre des Merveilles Limited Edition Collector

Beautiful , calm , quiet and elegant amber . Much softer than Eau des Merveilles and Elixir des Merveilles . The lasting power is good but it’s a skin scent mostly . The bottle has a gold rim all around , stunning , but the other Merveilles bottles are also gorgeous . This is more amber and benzoin than “Merveilles “. The famous orange here is subdued . It leans feminine . It’s conforming and I love it. However I never smelled anything from the Merveilles line that I didn’t love . Resembles Ambre Narguille , but it’s less spicy , similar vibe though . Highly recommended , but it’s expensive so try before buying because the lack of projection might disappoint you. I adore it.

I received a sample of this and can only assume it is not the original 2012, but this one. To my nose, there is the impression of a little sweet coffee - perhaps the creamer smell I get from certain soft vanilla aroma chemicals mixed with amber. It has a warmth, simple depth that would make a great modern gourmand unisex. I was a little surprised that the sweetness diminishes in the dry down. Good sillage and longevity. This has a slightly balmy quality that would be great in summer.

Just to be clear - to anyone who may stumble across this entry / fragrantica page - this is exactly the same as L'Ambre Des Merveilles, just in a limited edition bottle. This is NOT a different fragrance! There are additional reviews under the actual L'Ambre entry if you want to know more about the juice!

No doubt, this is the best flanker. I love it!!! The bottle is gorgeous!!!!
