Musc Pallida Eau de Parfum

You know what I think every time I apply this perfume? I love you. I love you I love you I love you! 🧡 Over the years, I have been going through a lot of perfumes. A LOT. Many of them I have disliked. Many made me feel nothing. Some of them I liked. A few of them I made a strong connection to and really liked. But loved? And then I mean really REALLY loved. Maybe one or two. And now, this one. To me, Musc Pallida Edp feels like an old friend. One of those you have known for years, who will always be there for you, through thick and thin. Someone who will be in your life forever, someone you trust, someone who makes you feel good and make you become a better version of yourself. This is not a one dimensional musc perfume, it has all the different layers that I have experienced in different musc perfumes combined into one. There is a little bit of sweetness to it and I think that is what really does it for me. If I put this on in the morning, I can still feel it when I go to bed att night. Throughout the day I get wonderful whiffs of the scent when I move. It is never loud or in your face but it is there. It is persistent and it keeps you company all through the day. It really is a scent that radiates off your skin and it is actually easier to sense it in the air around you then if you press your nose to your skin. It needs movement and warmth. Life. The bottle is 100 ml but I am already thinking of buying a backup bottle. And selling all my other musc perfumes ;-) I would really love if Hermes made a shower gel as well with this scent 🧡 My guess is that Cardamusc will be released as an Edp as well and, in that case, I cannot wait to try it ☺️ For someone who usually wear different perfumes everyday of the week, depending on mood, Musc Pallida Edp is the closest I will ever come to a signature scent.

I purchased this after visiting the Hermes store. The lady helping me was quite impatient, rushed and incredibly rude. I actually went to the store to smell Osmanthus Yunnan. The lady sprayed five different samples on the sample cards and handed them all to me at once and basically walked away. I was trying to figure out what she had even handed me. The one that stood out immediately was Musc Pallida but it took me awhile to figure that is what it was giving me some time to enjoy the dry down in the store. I literally could not get over how beautiful it smelled! Despite the extremely rude sales person, I chose to purchase Musc Pallida instead of Osmanthus Yunnan because it smells absolutely amazing and so incredibly fresh. I am completely in love with this wonderful fresh, crisp, Iris and musk scent that dries down into a creamy musky floral scent for me. On my skin it lasts a long time. I can easily get 8-10 hours and it lasts longer when sprayed on my clothing. This will be a wonderful anytime of year fragrance but I like it especially for spring and fall. I also think that this will also work well as a base to layer other florals over for spring and summer. It is not offensive at all and works very nicely in an office setting. Definitely getting compliments on this at the office! I can not get enough of it! I highly recommend checking this one out!

Musc Pallida remains very close to the skin but it’s a straightforward soft white musk that’s almost oily with a more powdery violet type of iris. It’s almost like a muted and delicate version of a creamy purple bubble bath bar from Lush. I don’t get any obvious aldehydes and it’s too smooth, linear and grounded in musky oil bases to experience any dynamic aldehyde sparkle. I do get a gentle heliotrope in the base. It’s beautiful, understated and subtle but I’m sure it’s overpriced for what is essentially a straightforward white musk oil with slight purple florals. The more I wear it, the more I’ve fallen in love with it. As it develops it gets nutty from the almondy heliotrope, it’s the softest, musky heliotrope ever (I still get no iris and am convinced it’s heliotrope). If you’re looking for a budget version of Musc Pallida then try Ana Abiyedh Poudree but be warned that it’s not as subtly smooth and as refined as this. Fans of L'Eau d'Hiver will also appreciate Musc Pallida as it’s the even more minimalist and gentle version of this.

To me, this is a lovely addition to the line. One of my co workers loved the oil on me so when the Eau de parfum came out, I had to have it. I am almost anosmic to musk, but I can smell this all day.

This is so good. Makes me think of a very reserved wedding. It says Iris but I think muguet here for some reason. Satin sheets. Baby’s breath. White veils. Flowers in the hair. Spring fragrance.

Musc Pallida is exclusively crafted iris and musk. It doesn’t roar; it whispers - an intimate veil that clings to the skin like memory. Utterly, breathtakingly beautiful. A true 100/10.

To the person below .. you’re really missing the elegance that is hermes

Wow. This absolutely, unequivocally satisfied my musk craving. It feels like a clash between cold powder and a sensual musk; yet it’s the kind of tension that’s genuinely enjoyable to watch unfold. Even though aldehydes are listed on this site, the musk axis is far too dominant for any comparison with truly aldehydic, shining fragrances (especially 1957; no way). That said, the opening does have a clean, fresh quality, so I can see where that association might come from. What stands out most is how natural it feels; skin-like, both warm and slightly unsettling. At times I also catch a salty nuance. There’s a creamy floral undertone as well, softly cushioning the structure. Something (and yes, it’s definitely musk) makes this feel intensely "human". That’s the part I love most. I also get a faint umami-like effect that keeps shifting: sometimes it suggests something balsamic, sometimes more savory. Whatever it is, the musk stays in front, and the soft powdery texture remains intact. In the drydown it settles into a creamy, smooth point and holds. I think I’ve become obsessed. I tried Musc Pallida EDP in a boutique today; tl;dr: it smells pretty much identical to the parfum oil (so you can read reviews there on what the scent is like). It does have a bit more volume and sillage, and it's a touch airier. A no brainer if you like/love the original oil. I'll probably wait and pick it up an an airport, since I do have the parfum oil already.

This fragrance reminds me of Camay soap, but with more musk. It's very clean, pleasant, comfortable, and can be worn anytime. Musc Pallida has the note Iris quite similar to Iris Ukiyou, but I like Iris most of this line.

It smells like stepping into a luxury hotel lobby gleaming surfaces, soft florals, and that signature ‘everything in its place’ freshness. It’s undeniably sophisticated, yet I can’t help wondering if I’d prefer to be the guest rather than the lobby itself

On me this is light and fleeting, there are so many other similar perfumes that don't dissappear like this, so it's redundant for me.

at the risk of sounding like an idiot, I simply don’t get it... If I hadn't known the NAME of the fragrance and you'd just told me it was a new release by Hermès, I'm pretty sure I'd have liked it.... But I don't think it lives up to that name... To be fair, I don't LOVE the oil either but figured they'd tweak this to smell more of Iris (or even more like any kind of musk I recognize).... But it honestly smells exactly the same... It's obviously more diffusive and offers more sillage but... I simply don't think this smells like Iris: 28 La Pausa... Iris Silver Mist... Iris Pallida extrait 6.... No 19.... I'm pretty sure I know what it's supposed to resemble and this just doesn't.

The aldehydes are round edged and soft, zero screechiness in opening unlike other famous aldehydes (ex. Chanel no.5). I noticed that iris note in hermes perfumes is very refined and gives polished floral nuance rather than mainstream dusty powder iris, (same noticed in iris Ukiyoe and Hiris ) iykyk , its very classy and adds a touch of elegance and singularity. high grade musk , its a tad creamy and enveloping me with warmth. For now its still available in 100ml bottle , i might get one once they release 200ml , so i can justify the price per quantity at least .. i currently am using a beautiful musk from almajid oud for barely 30$ , and i think its the cool energizing version of musc pallida (which in my opinion is warm and calming type of musk) I'd keep using almajid musk for post morning showers while hermes musc pallida for post evening showers Musc pallida in hermes is what 1957 is to chanel and i prefer this tbh :)

I might be anosmic to it or it really sits quite close to skin. I get a minty, modernised vintage musk and I feel guilty to say that I am not obsessed at this point. I thought I would be in love, as I imagined the creamiest iris infused musk. It actually reminds me a little of Coreterno No sleep which I had, although that one is even more floral dominant, while this one remains subdued and more musky, raw white, closer to the skin. Musc Pallida is more buttery, while No sleep is more sharp florals and projecting more, both still airy. In the drydown is becomes colder and very abstract. I don’t know where that minty aspect is coming from, probably the aldehydes but anyway I find it elegant, but a little too simple. My favourite musk remains Guerlain Musc Outreblanc.

It’s nice but it’s not my type of musk perfume and too much of a skin scent for me. I like soft wearing scents but I’m not into ones I have to press my nose into my arm just to smell. There was also something a little off putting to me about it, not sure what though. It just wasn’t meshing with me fully. I would smell it and be like that’s nice then smell it again and be a little grossed out by it. It’s well blended tho don’t get me wrong. Warm and clean skin musk fragrance, brighter than the oil I’d say. It’s just okay to me. I wasn’t taken back by it especially for the price and the performance left a lot to be desired.

It’s delicious. Slightly more complex smelling that the notes show. The musk is modern white musk obviously but it hints at something classic and almost animalic. Then returning to a warm skin musk. The iris is sweet and powdery. It’s like a blend of the warm comforting jammy perfumes of the 90’s, but of Lancôme Tresor, with the musk giving an edge. I see the hype, I assumed it’d be a boring musk, things I don’t love like L’eau Papier or Fleur de peau from Diptyque. Musky, but what to refer to as tv static musk. This is closer to the skin musk, without being dirty. Think Narciso Rodriguez pure musc, but with Iris.

I really wanted to like this. But, gosh, I just didn't. Not the opening, not the middle, not the dry down. It just had no personality. And it didn't smell like Iris Pallida to me at all. I'm not a beast-mode lover, but even this was too weak for me. Normally, I can forgive weak for a beautiful smell. This had no performance AND no story. I can't even describe what I didn't like about it. It was just a no from the beginning. I was hoping this would be a more affordable version of Guerlain's Iris Pallida Extrait. This was a disappointment, and a reminder that Jean Claude Ellena is missed.

For three years I have been actively trying to find “the one” my signature scent. I wanted something hauntingly beautiful without smelling like perfume if that makes sense. When people get a whiff of me I want them to think is it her soap? Shampoo? Lotion? Body oil? Maybe the detergent she uses. Oh my gosh she smells like heaven! But never perfume. Musc Pallida is everything and more. It is pure luxury. Very natural smelling. I also have the body cream 🤤 Thank you Christine Nagel, thank you! Masterpiece 🙌

One of the most exquisite and pure musk fragrances ever created! Your entire day is made happier and more pleasant by this perfume, and people around you will be impressed by your fancy smell. I have this perfume's pure oil, and I had a wonderful, complimentary experience with it. I didn't think it would be turned into a perfume, but Christine, the expert, did it, and the outcome is fantastic. Uniqueness:10/10 Longavity : 10/10 If you have money buy it don't worry it's A magic in a bottle. 10/10
