Tutti Twilly d'Hermès

Alright - after over a month of having this - I can finally conclude: it is a love! Here's why... At first, my nose was not ready for the note perfect, photorealistic lychee to mingle with a ginger flower accord. Ginger flower, is quite different to the zesty and zingy scent of ginger (the root). The flower has a gel like liquid which can be squeezed out of it. To my luck, I have ginger flowers growing all around my garden as my land lady is very fond of the odd shaped flowers (a little to phallic in shape for my liking, but us women do like to see those shapes sometimes and perhaps she's growing them in her old age for the same reason haha! I shall check my silly sense of humour at the door!). When this gel like substance is squeezed out of the flower, it has a very abstract and odd scent which is both sweet but musky - it's weird! But it's one of those scents that you keep sniffing more and more out of intrigue. After I familiarised myself with ginger flowers, I began to understand this perfume a little bit better. I also think, ginger flower (unlike ginger root) behaves differently on each persons skin chem - which is very sad for those who cannot jive with it (you lot are the ones perceiving cat pee and sweaty pits). Now, to the perfume. When you first spray this you get a BLAST of lychee. But not just lychee, I personally get a little bit of raw mango, guava, and papaya too! The lychee is the most prominent of them all. It is bright, neon and electric! Tart, juicy and realistic lychees that had been refrigerated! Beautiful. It's the exact colour of the bottle. As it begins to dry down is when it gets tricky for some. The ginger flower begins to emerge. And it becomes kind of pulp like. Think of lychee that's in a can with sugar syrup - and you blend it without taking the lychee out and create a lychee pulp and accidentally - some ginger flowers jump in to the concoction (I am aware this is a strange image but bear with me). In this gingery-lychee pulp, the guava and raw mango start having a tug of war with the ginger flower for prominence. You can quite literally see different victors on different days, based on how many sprays and time of day you wore. It still never behaves the same, twice in a row. It remains a chameleon. But I do not understand why Hermes thougth it was wise to release a quintisentially summer time fragrance at the tail end of summer? Had they released this at the end of spring - I am certain more people would have loved this. To me, luckily, there is no cat pee/sweaty pits. But I do get lychee-ginger pulp which is on a stove or under the heat of the sun, which slowly cooks and then almost reach a hard toffee like consistency - and no it is not burnt either. Beautiful work of art by Christine Nagel - a fruity-floral that is unlike any other in its genre. Hermes has done it, again!

Tutti Twilly d’Hermes seems to be a very polarising scent. As a huge fan of Twilly Eau Poivree I was intrigued so I decided to get an official 2 ml sample with a recent Hermes order. The opening is absolutely beautiful. Zingy, watery, fresh, uplifting and fruity in a very tropical way. The litchy note is very intense. I love very much the energising opening. After about 10 minutes it transforms a bit, moving into a sweet musky, gingery direction. All the brightness of the opening is gone, but it’s nonetheless pretty. It stays like this until 6-7 hours later when it starts becoming a skin scent and disappears. Luckily, I don’t get the cat urine references that lots of people mention in the comments below. At least not during the winter temperatures! For me it’s a very youthful, exuberant, colourful, exotic type of scent. I am not saying that those comments are not valid, everyone experiences fragrances differently, but I seem to be in the fortunate group whose noses don’t detect that aspect! It won’t be a full bottle for me at the moment because the way I see Twilly Tutti d’Hermes is more as a delightful spring/early summer fragrance. I will keep an eye on it and if I can get it during springtime on a good deal, I’ll get a bottle for sure. I really like it! As a first impression, performance seems to be fairly moderate, noting outstanding, but it’s not the kind of scent without substance. It is rather charming and elegant, not common or boring. I will revisit my sample as the spring approaches and the temperatures are rising before pulling the trigger on buying a full bottle. Will update.

I've read all the reviews here and wanted to test this scent. This scent turned out very nice on my skin when I tested at the Hermes beauty boutique. It's an exotic scent with lychee and ginger flower notes, and yes this combo might be little bit messy. I could understand why people told this scent smell like cat urine. In the real life, lychee has strong smell and ginger flower also. If you has chance to smell the ginger flowers, you should try. It has little bit fragrant smells like cat urine and middle note of this scent is full note with ginger flower combine with little bit alcoholic lychee note (sometimes too alcoholic like lychee note in Chloe EDP and Delina Exclusifs) also the powdery muskiness from the base. That's reason why I called it "messy perfume". At the end, I still got it because they were on promotion of the mall called Takashimaya in Vietnam and I scored some points for future leather goods buying at Hermes Vietnam boutique, also I bought it cause of the packaging. Tutti Twilly is one of my most favorite packaging from Hermes. I'm happy and no regrets even some reviews made didn't want to buy at the beginining. Tutti Twilly is... unusual. As soon as I sprayed it I loved it - an immediate lychee bomb, and since lychee is one of my favourite notes/scents, it's not surprising that I was enamoured by it at once. The ginger is there, but its very subtle in my opinion. The musk is also there, but it is a very clean musk and I don't understand all the armpit/kitty litter/cat pee comments, although I have never owned cats so I suppose I don't know what those last two smell like. I expect, therefore, this is a perfume that is very dependent on body chemistry. Try and test it on the skin and see how it performs over the next few hours instead of just a quick sniff on tester paper (this is, of course, good advice for all fragrances, but it's particularly important for this one). It has a powdery drydown, and that coupled with the juicy fruit top notes make this seem slightly childish, a little like something a teenager would wear, but the musk gives it a bite that just manages to elevate it above teenage body sprays. Even if it does smell a little like a body spray, it's the expensive sort that the rich popular girl would wear and you'd look on in envy with your supermarket £2 sprays.

I am so surprised by this perfume, we came a long ride but now I love it. I was so excited when it was first launched but I was disappointed because I loved the opening but than it turned into a scent reminiscent of the room after gym class...very unpleasant and sweaty. I tried it again a few months later, still same dirty scent on the dry down, this was during winter. I tried it today again out of curiosity and I don't know if it's the scent that has changed or my perception of it but it bloomed to be a beautiful composition. I sprayed it on my skin and it smells even better on me! The opening is the same but the dry down I get something a bit bitter and herbal reminds me of the grapefruit peel with ginger and clean white florals in the background that reminds me of the OG Twilly. The deep dry down is somewhat musky but more powdery and even a hint of woody like sandalwood on my skin. It smells elegant and refined but a little bit eclectic. This scent suits my personality so well. If it will stay the same during the colder months this could be my new signature scent.

agree with 90sbanana below, wanna praise Christine for giving us sth new in the market, a lot of new releases in September but this is definitely a unique one like her latest release for men (H24) which is super controversial haha... no wonder why designers love to release sth safe (Narciso, Armani My Way, Givenchy, Dior...) This is a real lychee perfume, me as an Asian we buy and eat lychee every year and the opening shocked me I know how the REAL lychee smells like this is not a syrupy sickly sweet lychee but rather a real and juicy one!!! it emerges with the signature twilly ginger accord, the transition is very smooth lychee stepped back strength up the sweetness instead of too much spiciness well done! Although I quite like this perfume I'd add a bit more floral into it, I found it too spicy for me hahah Tutti Twilly is a fun and young perfume yet not too innocent or childish anyone can pull this off easily ! This is so good! For me actually. I’ m surprised no body mentioned: this is cassis, cinnamon combination at first. That’s why is so controversial. Then you have waxy, buttery tuberose, like in original with those fruity, cassis, may be lychee twist. At the end, on my skin, I have patchouli, very nice and transparent musky patchouli. That’s is it! It’s like Calyx met a little bit of Jean Paul Gaultier, only without those body sensuality, Tutti is more fresh - vibrant. And I love it. It’s very natural, strong at first, but after 20 min. verry fresh fragrance. For me it’s ideal for winter and I cannot wait till spring. It will shining. I love energetic, intelligent fragrances made for fun not only for elegance. It fits very well casual elegance tho, sneakers, jeans, but also a nice skirt. Yeah it’s kinda unusual fragrance, if you like it. And think what you want, this is only an opinion😃

This is amazing. The lychee really stands out. Lychee is one of my favorite fruits so smelling it in a fragrance is very enjoyable. I also get hints of jasmine though it's not listed as a note. It smells slightly like tea because of the jasmine in the best way. Reminds me of getting boba with my sister at a nearby shop. Got a free sample for my older sister, waiting till she visits so I can give it to her. Sprayed it on just to see if it's nice. It is. It leans too feminine for me to wear it but this is beautiful. I would fall head over heels in love for any woman wearing this. I'm going to go buy a full bottle so I can gift it to my next girlfriend. It would be interesting to try layering with an ambroxan based men's fragrance to bring it to the masculine side. This is too good. If you're a woman, go try this asap. If you're a guy, get it for your girl.

This one is a chameleon. Not in a complicaed way at all... I mean, it changes depending on the day, the place and time!! The day I got it, I absolutely hated it. It smelled artificial and nauseating. I let it sit for a day or two. Picked it again and it smelled light, airy, super tart and fresh. Weird. Fast forward to today, where its very musky and floral... What on earth is happening?! Where did the lychee go :( I panicked and sprayed it again on my husband, and there it was. Lychee in all its glory, bright and beaming! I've never experienced this the same way twice (yet) at least. What a whirlwind it's been. This will definitely get an updated review in time to come :P

I simply cannot believe the bad reviews. I smelled this and fell in love instantly. It is very similar to Ginger Twilly, but with added lychee and less of a shower clean feel. It's definitely a more youthful version of that. The bottle is adorable, with white cap, but with a pink-red juice and ribbon. Feminine, classy, elegant and playful at the same time. Moderate silage and lasting power. Price : $193 plus tax (13%) for 85ml. In my opinion, worth it. Try before you buy, I've seen so many negative reviews that probably it reacts in different ways with different skin. For me it's delightful.

This is what I imagine Zara Larsson’s Midnight Sun smells like. This is so fresh and tropical, perfect for summer days when you want to feel most energized. Strong litchi opening at first whiff, then it dries down to what I imagine is a clean laundry from a luxury hotel. I expected this to be as juvenile as the Victoria Secret fragrances I had as a teen, but the dry down on this one weirdly smells sooooo luxurious. If it weren’t overpriced I’d wear this forever and spray it all over my sheets.

I love this. Saw the cute bottle when I was on summer holiday and just had to try it, and HAD TO buy it It smells exactly how the bottles look: fruity, summery and fun! After I read the comments in here I started worrying that it smelled like cat pee to other people, but I've asked quite a few people what they think, and every one has said that it's a sweet, tart beachy vibe, absolutely no cat pee. I even got a compliment from a stranger while waiting for the bus. I'm very happy with it👌🏻

I actually really enjoy this. I got a sample when i bought another. Sprayed it once and didn't think it was all that nice. But then found myself going back to respray so I bought it in 30ml. I've worn it quite a bit since. I have recieved compliments and someone even asked me where I got it from ! Then they saw the price and their opinion changed xD. I don't really know how to describe the smell. All i know is i don't have anything like this nor have i ever smelt anything like this.

Wow, this seems to be so polarizing. On me, the lychee is definitely prominent and rather realistic - it's the full fruit, peel and all. The ginger becomes more prominent as it dries down, at first it's zingy and citrusy, in the drydown, it becomes more woody and peppery. It's long lasting, especially on clothes, and projects a bit. I don't get any urine or BO notes, thankfully. All in all, I really like it, it has a lot more character than the average fruity freshie.

In my opinion, this fragrance take balls to wear, the opening comes with an overdose of sweetness that can be nauseating at first, but as it settles becomes beautiful. This fragrance is really long lasting has a great protection and sillage. When you purchase this fragrance because of the intensity it is advisable you don’t spray much of it in order not feel nauseous. Definitely buying it again. I love itttt. 🥰

New obsession with ginger unlocked. This scent is somewhere between eau poivre and eau ginger. Eau ginger is more soapy and light...this one is more ginger and gormand. Love it . Superb longevity and projection. Gingery, spicy and sweet. Juicy, fruity and mouthwatering. I gotte buy one first chance I get. Keep the flankers comming from Twilly. They are all adorable. I usually stay away from fruity scents but everything about this perfume makes me sooo happy, the bottle, the colours, the fragrance! Even the name! Edit: Wtf. It smells spicy and sour on my skin, horrible. And I bought a big bottle.. If anybody is interested in buying it please contact me. Please, I don't want to see this disappointment anymore.

I love it, but not for everyday use. In my opinion, it's the best lychee scent I have ever smelled, very unique, sweet and just radiating fun! However overtime it dries down to smell a bit weird and 'artificial like'. It's very unique and lovely just not my everyday signature. Don't blind buy but If you are at your local perfumery give it a try!

Such a beautiful and wholesome lychee fragrance! I fell in love upon first sniff! The fruitiness and sweetness are just right. Not too much that makes it cloying, but not too little that makes it lackluster. I have no idea how Hermès came up with this lovely fragrance but wow... Full bottle worthy for sure, only that it's so expensive!!

Sampled in the duty free and whoa! What an atypical scent for a designer, I love it! I had a strong childhood association, maybe hard candy, or cough drops, but in the best way. Spicy fruity woody goodness on my skin. Going to buy a fb. I agree that it’s very unusual and probably polarizing. I’m ok with that.

Love at first sniff! It's fruity and spicy but so well balanced and pretty. The ginger gives it character so it's not juvenile but still cheerful. The way the lychee is done I can sense a tea like quality in it. I need a bottle for sure!

What a suprise! Tropical leechee, ginger and patchouli? It’s quite an intense fragrance, very unusual, leechee is very natural smelling and juicy. Classic Twilly DNA is detectable. It’s spicy!

The opening is terrible but after 20 minutes it fascinates me. I have never had such an interesting fruity perfume. I'm actually drooling, I can't get enough of it. I just love it.

I am a big fan of the original Twilly, a clever, modern take on tuberose that is effortlessly chic. However, in my opinion, its flankers pale in comparison, even if they are reasonably decent, creative perfumes. As its name suggests, Tutti is a sweet fruity scent. It isn't bad, being an unusual take on a fruity scent, but it is not my thing. Tutti has a fruit cocktail opening, sweet and juicy without being sugary. The lychee adds typical aquatic freshness while contributing to the fruity accord. It is all very tropical without leaning on the usual suspects, i.e. orange blossom/mango/coconut etc. The ginger emerges early on, adding a warm spicy edge. It is unusual but works well, as well as being a nod to the Twilly DNA. It remains fruity throughout, lightweight, juicy and fresh, with the ginger adding interest. I get a red berry quality too. Some clean white florals add body. It becomes softly musky as it fades. Sillage and longevity are moderate. It is a feminine spring/summer scent. A simple if unusual composition, Tutti is primarily a lychee scent, with the signature Twilly ginger note adding interest. It is light, fresh and nicely-balanced - I don't get anything astringent or untoward here. Pleasant and wearable while managing to be different, Tutti is a grown-up yet light-hearted fruity scent. Much more likeable than I expected. 3.5/5.

For such a straightforward scent this was a surprise in the sense that I found it repulsive on the initial sniff and stayed away. However with several vials received as samples I thought to try it again and voila the first bubble that crept into my head was 'hold on' and thereafter 'interesting'. At first it was quite rancid the kind you get from overripened mangoes. But a nagging feeling made me go back to it as if I was missing something. The sweet note that appeared to be from mango was actually litchi and that too much pungent smell was of the marine aquatic note. The ginger lily is good but the marine note i daresay is intentionally put there to give it an effect of sth gone sour. Trust Christine Nagel to do something like this. Very odd but interesting and more enjoyable during fall and winter as I am finding out. Surely going to give it a try next spring. After continuing to return to it almost each day from my last post I have come to realize tutti to be a very good fragrance and a fb worth. I think she just might require some acquaintance before you really get to appreciate her.

In order I prefer Twilly (spring), Ginger Twilly (fall), Tutti Twilly (winter) and Pepper Twilly (never lol). The first time I tried Tutti Twilly in stores I thought it departed a lot from the original and that I smelled like gummy bears. I liked it in a "not on me" and a "I won't spend good money to smell like that" way. But I got a 2ml sample, tried it again a couple of times and now it reminds me of the blackcurrant (cassis) drops we used to get as kids, still candy but more adult. I can also smell the Twilly lineage in the mid-notes with the soft ginger and powder. The perfume feels more "cute" and "playful" than the other Twillys, without feeling "teenager young". I would not wear this in summer or spring, I think it would be too heavy and "sticky". But on a chilly winter day in a casual setting? It fits in a "sugar plum fairy" kinda way. Look, i know where the hate is coming from. When i first sprayed, i get this weird stale soggy laundry smell, that some may interpret as B.O/cat pee. Dont know what is causing this i assume its due to some natural ingredient in this perfume. Immediately i kicked it to the declutter pile. Now testing this again on skin, i noticed that you dont really smell this in the air, instead what i get is a nice lychee scent that really does smell like a fizzy lychee soda with a prominent ginger flower (not ginger) note in the drydown. Overall very natural smelling, and if you aren't familiar with REAL lychee fruit and ginger flower, this is likely not for you. I might have to keep this after all. Besides the bottle is cuuute! And thankfully i did not pay full retail. Weird comment from reviewer below because THIS IS NOT A FUN & YOUNG perfume and most certainly not for everyone.

Before I read the notes, I just got a really strong, juicy, pink grapefruit accord. (Makes sense, the juicy litchi + the spicy ginger making it a bit bitter / pithy). I actually really enjoyed the realistic punchy sour fruit smell. But my husband immediately remarked that he smelled cat pee! (No, he doesn't know anything about fragrance- or reviews about this fragrance). Yes, I understand how one can get cat pee from this: it's sour, it's 'dirty' and it's animalic and a bit skunky / musty from the musk. I like it when I am the only one smelling it, and I can get my nose really close to it. But from far away, yes, definite whiffs of cat pee. Not safe to wear around others, I guess. But I don't hate it.

Overall, I like it except that it starts to smell like male cat's pee if sniffed closely shortly after opening till it settles. First notes are great - freshly grated ginger and powerful lychee. It settles in about 40 min to 1h on my skin and transforms in pleasant musky, spicy smell with hint of sweetness. If sprayed on natural fabric clothing then the pee smell is not as prominent. Im still trying to figure out how to use it in a way I can skip kitty litter part because I truly love the settled version of the scent. I think this perfume is highly depenent on individual's skin. Not a safe buy. It should be sprayed on skin, not tester paper to see if it is right fit for you.

I tried it in the Narita airport few hours ago. The verdict for the initial spray was: mice pee. Don’t know why mice, don’t ask me. Just not as bad as cat pee. I sprayed it on my Ferragamo bag belt. And hour later after shower and a cup of tea I felt that super bright citrusy fruity juicy crisp scent. Since I tried so many fragrances on me and had a lot of testers I could not understand what is that initially, until I put my bag belt on my shoulder. I recalled I felt it on a girl in Singapore half a year ago and mistakenly thought it’s Dior. It’s great, both to wear and in silage, but first spray is ruining first impression

This is a charming fragrance. The litchi note is sour, sweet, fruity and fresh. The ginger lends a tiny bit of fresh spiciness. The musk dry down is a pink and fluffy cloud of pink powdery freshness. You can really feel the quality and luxury of each of the notes. I think I will be gifting this fragrance to my 14 year old nieces. It is so wonderful but just too young for me. I could never carry it off. I would feel like I am cosplaying a girl who still fantasizes she might be a princess. I feel like this playful fruity sourness can only be carried off by a much younger girl.

I love this scent, it's very fruity and woodsy on me. However, i walked past my mom with it on and she asked if i had been smoking weed lmao. This fragrance starts out like a lychee syrupy fruit cup, then the dry hot ginger scent comes in, then it settles down and smells like if a ginger root was thrown on a campfire. The whole time there is a background of powdery white florals. It starts out very sweet and feminine and settles almost masculine. Very unique scent. Sorry to everyone who smells cat pee 😢

I really don't like the Twilly line, most of the Hermes fragrances are a hit or miss for me- I love them to death or I hate them. This is definitely my favourite from the line. You get the ginger that every Twilly has but the lychee makes it so good- perfect combo in my opinion. Really mouthwatering and fresh. You get the candy-like notes even. Kinda suitable in every season, mature and girly at the same time. Thinking of getting this!

i feel like this is a summer vacation scent. i don't know how i feel about it its ok smells fruity fresh and spicy at the same time. unique and young i dont see this as an everyday fragrance or all year fragrance. its a vacation beach fragrance ;) for me i want to buy this one time to experience it because i feel like this is going to make memories its one of those fragrances that holds memories and for vacations its perfect.

I don’t get the people who vote ‘hate’ before ever trying this perfume. I personally love it, received a sample in the mail and I’m hooked. The litchi is very strong, not necessarily sugary sweet but completely fruity. I smell some ginger too and these 2 notes complement each other very well. This perfume reminds of me litchi ramune soda. Definitely give this one a sniff guys!

I like it. Fortunately All I can smell is a green sharp spicy ginger ( I drink ginger tea regularly and this is such a faithful representation) and musk. It lasts 6 hours on my skin so the performance is also decent. However the reviews are quite right about one thing : this fragrance is not a crowd pleaser. I had people close to me ask me what stinks when I wore this. 🙁

A composition built around intriguing accords of ginger. It opens with a bold, almost sharp and dry intensity—like the freshly cut root itself. At first sniff of the atomizer, I got black pepper, dry and spicy. Once sprayed, I was transported back to eating some kind of tropical, artificially flavored candy as a child. The drydown is very shampoo-y, which makes sense, as ginger flower is nature's shampoo. I also get very much a clean laundry smell. The scent is strange! But definitely NOT boring.

Very unique fragrance and I.....don’t hate it? Potentially the least safe mainstream designer blind buy of all time? Very fruity and sharp on the nose but in a kinda nice way. However, I can see how some people can smell body odour in this. If, and only if, it works with your skin chemistry then this is a great quirky choice.

I find the cat pee reference funny because I absolutely do not get those notes. However, I find the opening is very "juicy red candy" and the middle ..like a dryer sheet or some kind or laundry product. I own both original Twilly and Ginger Twilly but I think this one will be a pass.

Interesting tropical opening (passion fruit, guava and litchi). It’s nice but it’s way too synthetic (smells a bit like nail polish remover). Fresh and a bit floral with a typical musky base. It’s quite watery, so I don’t think it will last long. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

I got this today - really like it. I agree it smells very sweet at first but it dries down more spicy & the musk really comes through on my skin. Lasts an age, nice & fun fragrancs

At first smell it was a rancid sugar bomb with this tinge of acidity but I gave it another try recently and now I find it adorable. Really not that bad, welcome to Candyland.

spray tested it. i don't smell the litchi. honestly, it smells like a haribo peach gummy. i liked it in a small dose, but i can see how it could get cloying.
