I LOVE this. My husband...does not. I literally smells like you walked up to a cypress tree, snapped off a [lumpy needle leaf?] and rubbed it on your skin. Very woody, very fresh, very masculine. While I don't think they smell similar, it reminds me of my dad, and Polo [green], and aftershave. The drydown is still very fresh cypress, but also soft and calm and a deeply woody musk. To me, vetiver is the ingredient that determines "man" or "cologne" smell, and there isn't too much in this. Still very masculine, for sure, but great for layering. This is the kind of scent I'd expect on a strong, very confident woman with just a little weirdness. Total Eva Green vibes. You get to control how much projection you want with this. I did as users suggested and rubbed just a small amount into my skin and it was a nice little personal scent cloud. It lasted all the way through to the next day. I'm really looking forward to layering this with other scents.

I think many people do not understand this house. The scents are moisturizing and layering atomizers. So, they are actually meant to be rubbed on your skin as there is no alcohol and it actually moisturizes skin(which I needed more than I realized). This is a huge benefit for me. So, after knowing this and then understanding they are designed to be layered - this changed everything. The scent by itself is woody and slightly sweet but then you can layer over it any other high quality frag to create a unique scent that is grounded in high quality cedar or ground any other frag in a more woody dna. Therefore, all factors considered 4.25/5

Really beautiful fragrance. Upon first spray, a wall of vetiver and cedar hits you, which after a minute or so, melts away to a complex mix of citrus, musk, and wood. Vaguely reminiscent of Soarin's (in Disney world) iconic cedar and orange smell. Lasts about 6 hours on me, though my skin destroys cologne quickly. The cologne itself is powerful, so only one or two sprays is necessary. Not sure why others found it harsh; while it's strong upon first pump, I find it quickly transforms to a more subtle, refined fragrance. I can see this cologne being very polarizing.

Amazing! Syrupy sweet deep succulent cedar with a refreshing juxtaposed brightness. Best Cedar I’ve ever smelled. Had to make a FB purchase. Because it’s Hermetica it’s oil free. Absolute positive stinker - up there with Xerjoff and Stephan Humbert Lucas 777. Loved all their other samples I received in a discovery kit. I gifted it to a business and everyone was in love. If you love cedar or woods grab this and be happy - blind buy no prob... then try some other Hermetica. You’ll thank me!

I don't get the hate. This is good! I love the fact that you can rub it onto your skin, and if you do that your skin would really feel moisturized. It's an amazing layering fragrance as well. On its own, it smells woody and green, reminiscent of a spa. I love this. Longevity: At least 10 hours on skin. I think you really have to "apply" this onto your skin, and not to be sprayed on your clothes. Projection and sillage: Moderate Scent: 8/10 Projection: 8/10 Longevity: 9/10

The cedar really does rise, slowly and impressively. This has a strong transformation from top note to dry down; like two different fragrances from start to finish. Opening is a unique green-earth, clean, milky syrup. Dry down is masculine woody, with just the right amount of sweetness. Year round wear - but more elegant than casual. Lots of compliments on this one! (I’ve also had success layering it with masculine leather scents, including Gucci Guilty Absolute)

Kind of interesting: it smells like a cedar tree growing as a green grass plant. Vegetal green, maybe not even cedar but an unknown green vegetable. The problem for me is that it smells zero on my shirt where I usually wear perfumes, it only smells on skin and there it is good: a green that I have never smelt before.

Love it. Thank you very much for coming up with this majestic recipe PPP. I can't get enough of this fragrance and longevity It's longer than 10hrs on my skin. It's a keeper.

Soft, woody and sweet, a herbalsamic perfume, I feel the presence of tea here, expensive quality of alcohol, beautiful and a very good longevity👌

Hermetica Cedarise is a name that doesn’t seem to click until the fragrance dries down for about an hour. It opens, like Spiceair, with a very green, woody mix, primarily made of the grapefruit, cypress, and vetiver, if I had to guess, and then dries to a sweet blend with cedar as the featured note, but with contributions from the same notes above, patchouli, and a pinch of cinnamon. It has good balance upon drying down, sort of a sweet, earthy cedar mixed with spice and citrus, just as the note breakdown suggests, strong enough for cooler weather but seemingly not out of place on a summer day, even, and seems to perform pretty well. Again, I generally am a fan of the pricing of the line ($195 for 100ml / $135 for 50ml), particularly at the 100ml price point, as most Hermetica fragrances feel pretty agreeable, so one can get a lot of mileage out of a big bottle that works for them. 7 out of 10

Cedarise was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. Upon spritzing it onto my wrist, I am greeted by a smooth vetiver note with its characteristic vegetal nuttiness, with a slightly syrupy citric sweetness bolstering its brighter facets. This vetiver is buttery and soft, without the earthy, rooty pungency that other vetiver fragrances can have. As it dries down, it shifts into a more cedary territory centering around norlimbanol, a molecule of intense woody dryness. The citric facets, being carried over from the opening, combine with the norlimbanol to give the impression of an extremely tart lemon à la Hermes' Eau de Citron Noir. It's not a loud fragrance, but I constantly get whiffs of the scent from my wrist from time to time, so the projection is just about right for me. Kudos to Hermetica - I never expected to like a vetiver-centric fragrance, but they managed to do it!

My first thought upon trying this is that it definitely reminds me of something I have worn lately...ah, yes, I've got it! I'd say this is a much more easy-to-wear version of "Hermann A Mes Cotes Me Paraissait Une Ombre" (it reminds me a lot of Hermann's drydown). On my skin it definitely leans "masculine", but not uncomfortably so: it's woody, but not aftershave-esque. It's actually quite a nice change from all the sweet scents out there. It's maybe not as versatile as others from this collection, but I have an inkling that it would be a nice base for layering something perhaps too flowery or too sweet. It's been over seven hours since I applied, and I can still smell it on my skin (although it isn't a huge projector).

Calm and grounding. A smooth woody scent with a soft aromatic feel. Subtle, elegant, and easy to wear.

Very sweet. Smells more like apple pie than anything. Not really like the notes given at all. Gets a bit woodier in the dry down but still way too sweet for me.

Also got the picklejuice scent. Meh. If these are supposed to be layered I should have looked into them more, to pay for a perfume and then 130+ for something you have to layer is kind of dumb.

Does anybody else smell pickle juice extreme?!? No girl. Next.

I don't get a wall of vetiver upon spray, at all. On my skin it is pretty sweet in the opening, very herbal, almost medicinal. Somehow fruity as well. I wouldn't call this a woody scent, at least not a dry wood like cedar. If there's cedar at all, it's more like as if you spill a bottle of sugar sweet orange flavoured sports drink onto a cypress tree and then sniff it a day later. It's so sweet to me I'd get nauseous wearing it in my neck. I got a sample in a local niche perfumery store. I think the retailer gave me the wrong one, because I do remember there was another fragrance from Hermetica I did really like. What I also remember is that most of the scents in their line reminded me of other fragrances, so originality isn't their strongest. For example, Patchoulilight smells 80% similar to Portrait of a Lady where Greenlion reminds me of an average herbal designer fragrance. I do like the fact they use oils as carrier, instead of alcohol.

This is harsh. Vetiver oil, cypress, lavender, cedar, tobacco powder, nutmeg, and rosemary. Very woody, and very herbal comparing to other blends in the same brand. It's fair to be honest with very good quality. fair.

Violet leaves and pink pepper in start is quite green and fresh, it's not harsh for me at all, rather sweet and woody. And it's surprisingly LASTING!

Screechy, woody and very unpleasant.Least favorite from this brand.
