Peonypop

I had never heard of this brand but got it as a sample from Ipsy. When I first sprayed this it smelled almost identical to Montale's Intense Cafe, which I own and love but to me smells like straight rose and not even a little bit like coffee. It does become more floral with time but the first spray is a Montale copy all the way. This mellows down an almost rubbery rose which I absolutely love but I can totally see how it might be weird and off-putting to some. This is definitely a beast of a fragrance and not one I would wear casually around the office unless my coworkers had given me the okay in advance. Honestly, I really like it but I would not call this a safe blind buy since it's pretty intense. It's heavy rose with lily-of-the valley lurking in the background; as it's drying down I still smell Montale's Intense Cafe but with lily-of-the-valley instead of coffee/chocolate. Extremely rose but somehow not a floral perfume? It's kind of delicious without being gourmand. I don't see how any of the notes above match it so maybe the bad reviews are disappointment? Don't understand the hate here, this is a masterpiece!

I am really enjoying this fragrance. To my nose it starts with a very masculine blast of - something - ambroxan? Oakmoss molecule? I am not sure what that note is but it seems to be in everything nowadays and it starts out smelling like what all expensive unisex niche perfume houses start off smelling like. That dies in about 3 minutes and the fruity florals come to the fore. And then it becomes this floral muskiness. It is ultimately very feminine but not in a playful way - more of a structured pencil skirted suit sort of way. I love it for work. I have a 10ml travel size spray from Hermetica and I will definitely use it up since I am wearing it every day right now. I won't spring for the full bottle - since there are so many musky fruity/florals out there to enjoy but the quality and nuance of being different and very good is here - so I wouldn't think it weird if a person fell in love with this and needed the full bottle. Only when I have used up the travel size will I know for certain if I can or cannot live without the full bottle.

I found this fruity little oddball on sale and picked it up--as one reviewer said, it really is an interesting mix of all my favorite perfumes (keep in mind I do have a special fondness for fruity florals). At first, it's a bit of a traditional juicy floral, landing with a burst of fruit, but on dry down, I get the violet leaf and I'm reminded of Guerlain Rose Cherie, Burberry Weekend, Balenciaga L'eau Rose. I always have reservations about vetiver and geranium, but I needn't have worried. This is a chic, beautiful frag that's still developing on my skin. Can't wait to get to know her a bit better. Honestly, if I saw a full bottle of this at a Marshalls, like one lucky reviewer below, I would not hesitate to snatch it up. Update: This is on Marshalls at the time of this posting and I did purchase it for $50, lol.

I was stunned when I spotted this over this past weekend at my local TJMaxx. I wore it today and got several compliments. It's delicious... very similar to Atomic Rose/ Wonderland Peony/ Roses Elixir/ Lipstick Fever/ Delina/ Candy Yum Yum. Not completely identical to any of them, but has "a little bit" of each one. Definitely a keeper!

This was a pleasant surprise! I absolutely love Stella In Two Peony and was devastated when it was discontinued. This reminds me of that perfume without the pepper notes. It exudes rose and peony, with berries and amber’s warmth. It’s beautiful.

Slightly fruity, light, peony rose. Kind of soapy to me and not sharp as someone else said. Reminded me of Lancome Magnolia Rosae which I also have, but this one is more airy whereas Magnolia Rosae can be too much for me at times with that tart rose hanging over me. I'm surprised it's rated as low as it is. Not sure on longevity. I really like it! Not sure on love yet, but I'm already narrowing in on a full bottle.

Nose Note #249 Reminds me of Delina-type fragrances. It's not bad, but kind of average like it belongs to some other much more affordable brand. Smells like a plum, but a little sour. My wife said (!!!) that it smelled a little bit like urine. It becomes annoying quickly. Just not impressive to me...

She's a soapy clean fruity rose, and a hint of "oil" a lo distant cousin of Montale's Roses Elixir. Not powdery. Almost a dark berry plum cold rose. I do get the peony. I also keep getting soap as in clean hands sense, and that bit of oily note reminds me of Montale's dna. It projects about arms length, and bc of that oil base it does last 6-8hrs. Its okay nice, I'm happy with the nice size 10ML sample size. I asked my husband what he thought. He tilted his head as in "meh" and said "its nice". It's none offensive. Maybe for a busy day at the office, or to a place of worship if you do that. Not a Wow, but an okay it's nice sort of scent. I do like some Arabic oils, however, I'm just not a fan of the Montale house; too strong for my taste. This one, if it didn't have that oily note I would like it a bit better. It would then be almost FloralStreet-ish. Anyway, maybe good for layering. Hope this helps ̄_(ツ)_/ ̄ ✿

I find it very hard to pick up/name the notes in this perfume. When I sampled it at the shop I immediately thought it is a beautiful, happy, bright scent. Not entirely my type, but I could imagine wearing it. But when worn, I was dissapointed. Not about the performance - performance is great, very long lasting, did not expect that. The scent is also lovely, but just not for me. While it is bright, happy and floral, there is something harsh to it. And what bothers me the most, probably are the notes of violet flowers, which I hate, also could be iris... And overall blend. I do believe it is a great, high quality and overall likeable perfume, just not the one for me. 🌺

Peonypop is a sweet and fruity rose to my nose. In fact, there's almost too much fruitiness for me as a floral lover. The black currant and raspberry are the strongest notes for me, followed by rose. This is somewhat similar to Nest's Turkish Rose perfume oil, which I love. Peonypop is only a like (for now) due to too much fruit and not enough floral. On the plus side, this fragrance feels versatile and could be worn day or night for many different occasions.

It is an OK scent for me - not groundbreaking, but quite nice and good for the spring/summer day or evening. It has a vibe similar to Amethyst from Lalique, but is more flowery than fruity. Last a decent 4 hours around and stays for like an hour more as skin scent. From this brand I tried a few perfumes - I really like Sandalsun and Rosefire, and if its about choosing Peonypop is in the first 5 places (but not 1st^^)

I'm not a huge fan of straightforward florals, so I'm arguably not the best audience for this perfume. It's a very pretty, nice floral. I just don't find it anything special. The silage and longevity are also poor on me. I'm using up the rest of my sample bottle by adding it to baths.

Little sister of the OG Lalique Amethyst, because of the peony and black currant of course. It’s nice enough for a pretty spring day, but if you’re looking for something a little more full bodied this will leave you wanting more.

This is pleasant, a sweet rose floral, but it's nothing to write home about. The silage is intimate which is disappointing because it's a nice scent. I think that you could do better at this price point.

Bright and lively. Juicy peony-rose with a fresh fruity twist—pretty, but the rose feels a touch too strong on my skin.

upon first spray i thought it to be very pretty and girlie with a sparkling peony ,jasmine and rose being the front runners. how could you possibly categorise this as unisex? and 5 mins later it morphed. it sits very close to the skin and no longer pretty. now it is unisex but it has a stale sweat odour that i dont think any sex would like to wear. i'm not sure what that note is ,maybe myrr and plum? but wait, it's changed again and now sweat isn't so noticeable but neither is the fragrance. all this and all over in half hour or it is anosmic to me.

Not one of my faves from Hermetica. I love their philosophy and perfumes though, so not hating on them. This sort of a cross between Ferragamo Signorina and YSL Parisienne to me. I feel like the Source1 base really clashes with the sweeter notes, making it smell sort of noxious and plasticy on me. I really don't get Peony in any leading role either, just lots of blackcurrant and amber. Definitely more a sweet fruity one than a floral, but may be just my skin chemistry.

This would be glorious except all I can smell is the Ambroxin and it makes me wanna vomit. It's amazing for about three seconds. Then it's just "Not a Perfume" grossness.

I got a sample of this as a gift. I liked it at first, the rose and peony were very strong. I really don't understand how it's supposed to be unisex. Then it bothered me for the rest of the day, and I found it disgusting. No idea what the note is that's bothering me, but it's gross and I'm over it and I can still smell it 7 hours later. Edit: It's the Ambroxan that bothered me!
