Bois Dahman

This is the first creation that I've tried by this house that a man can wear. Safe uncommon smell, leans slightly to masculine scents but still it's a true unisex. Bois Dahman is an ethereal fragrance suitable year round, day and night. Longevity is high-average but the sillage is soft after about 1.5 hours. Classy, smooth, pleasant with dominant smoky saffron and a touch of amber/vanilla which makes it 15%-20% gourmand. Dominant notes are saffron, incense and birch. Vanilla and amber are soft and mild. Sandalwood is at the background, very soft.

Saffron, vanilla, and a bright note I’d describe as lightly minty. There’s also a faint smoky nuance. It doesn’t read fully birch to me, and I wouldn’t label it outright leathery either. The composition is nicely put together, but the vanilla comes across too syrupy and sweet on my skin. Tag(s): saffron, vanilla, minty-bright lift

beautiful warm woody incensy Unisex Scent. Extremely well blended with beautiful high quality notes of sandalwood and leather. I also feel at the end Vanilla. Beautiful! With scentual long lasting soft projection. The Herve Gambs is extremely talented parfumer! Love ALL of his creations! ALL. And want to buy as much as i can!. I love that HG uses only highest quality raw materials - with heavy leaning to natural expensive ingredients. Sad, that he discontinued some gems like Rouge Cardinal and others (probably due to sky rocketing cost of natural Jasmin de Grasse, Rose etc.) Love this (and others HG) scents. Simply madly in love!

A sweet birch. It's like a burned sweet frosting birch that caused incense as i keep on smelling sweet incensed birch as it's slightly a gourmand. On the first spray, the saffron was kind of there but after 2 to 3 minutes it just vanish within the sweet incensed birch. The calmer it goes the the sweeter it gets as in 5 to 7 minutes the vanilla birthday cake with frosting note comes up and challenges the birch as the incense is almost done and became quite weaker than the birch. The "EAUX DE PARFUM" line is quite interesting as it has something dark, and infatuating in them.

Una bella, elegante, legnosa vaniglia avvolta in spirali d'incenso e aspersa da tanto zafferano. Il legno di sandalo è reso cremoso e gentile, come immerso nella crema chantilly. Appartenendo alla stessa famiglia aromatica di Dries van Noten FM e di Silenzio SA, il profumo ha una forza soave e un carattere ben definito ed è gradevole nella sua prevedibilità. Piacevole e confortante, non troppo originale, dolce e stiloso. Per mio gusto personale, forse, la dolcezza è troppo intensa e statica. Strettamente per vanilla-lovers.
