Hotel Particulier

I was looking for a fragrance to go with my leather biker jacket. Yes, I sometimes do that - try to find a fragrance which would suit my very particular robe :) Hotel Particulier was one of the two best options (the other one was Herve Gambs Rouge Cardinal). Hotel Particulier is thick, balsamic, spicy, not overwhelmingly sweet fragrance with a nice sillage and a great staying power. It opens beautifully, especially on leather clothes - the most prominent notes become powdery patchouli, incense and a tiny drop of vanilla. Mixed with a scent of natural leather it creates a glamorous aura which people simply cannot pass by! I receive so many compliments when wearing it. It's a true discovery for me, who loves orientals, balsamic, spicy, gourmand fragrances. Give it a try! I love Herve Gambs home fragrances and I am really impressed with their whole perfume line.

Really impressed! After reading the description and notes, I didn’t exprct to have such a complex and different fragrance on me. It is everything that the other reviewers say and more. I was worried that it would be too warm or that the vanilla would be too sweet, but instead it is completely balanced and the incense is so refined that it gives a contrast to the seeet and warm notes. Very sophisticated and elegant and will definitely have it in my roster of fragrances. Good projection but not great and longevity is great so no issues with that. I’m going to be trying other fragrances from this house.

This perfume is an elixir that is revealed little by little... Romantic and enveloping. It transports me into an ancient world,sophisticated and classy. Perfume Unisex Fragrances, strong and huge longevity sillage. I tried other fragrances Herve Gambs, and was surprised by the quality and how each differs from the other... this scent is very evocative and almost dreamy,perhaps more suitable in the cold months of winter. The drydown is the evolution favorite part,very fine! Beautiful. Sillage: 7.5/10 Longevity: 9.5/10 Scent: 8.5/10 Overall: 8.5./10

Hotel particulier is my first fragrance by Hervé Gambs, and what a pleasant discovery it is. This is a very well blended Sandalwood, Incense and Vainilla combo that is classy, sophisticated and very high quality. The scent of Hotel Particulier is very unique, with great longevity and good sillage without it being overpowering. This is a complex fragrance, which also feels balsamic, and looking at the notes listed, the sum of its parts makes it definitely uncommon (this is not something you smell everyday) with excellent performance.

One of the best fragrance that I have had. It has longevity, silage and ladies love this scent. No need to write a review with hundreds of words. Just buy one

a classy perfume that opens a little bit acidulous with rose and geranium. then it becomes creamy, vanilla and slightly smoky. excellent perfume but not in my ropes. excellent performance. great sandal and excellent vanilla. 7/10

Everything I've tried from this house was nice, quality stuff but feminine. Hotel Particulier is not an exception. Complex, thick, long lasting with moderate projection, uncommon and pleasant scent for daytime and night. Dominant notes are sandalwood & vanilla with some patchouli, geranium and very mild incense. There is also a milky/slightly watery taste with the woodiness of the sandalwood which I don't like.

Incense patchouli vanilla blend. It's more like a geranium incense with sandalwood vanilla mix and some little bit of patchouli to darken the scene. I kind of sniffed this kind of fragrance before! as it kind of reminds me of "Fêtes Persanes" by MDCI Parfums with that cinnamon and hints of nutmeg! that sweet spices is not new to my nose to be honest! but in here it's blended more with sandalwood, roses, and overdoses of incense. Quite an interesting take.

More powdery than Rouge Cardinal, which shows more patchouli, they are not that distant when I compare them on each wrist. Vanilla is there, ok, just don't think of a gourmand. Hotel Partuculier is a sweet woody dust sparkling over you, leaving an attracting trail behind when passing by, and it's lovely, smart, elegant, classy, never overpowering.

Do not blind buy it. It's above all patchouli and smoke. Anyway it's a good perfume, but if you don't like patchouli...
