La Baie des Anges

Very interesting in a good sense. You can really feel the rhubarb, which to mee smells like uncooked rhubarb, a bit bitter and astringent event. And it pairs beautifully with vanilla, which is no ordinary vanilla, but this beautiful ice-cream sort of vanilla. This is pretty much all I smell in this parfume. I was testing it in winter and it has poor longevity and projection at the moment. Hoping for better performance in warmer weather. However, it is worth it just for the scent alone. You can wear it at home as it is not overpowering and also, if you you can always reapply it when at home. Did not try to layer it, somehow I am yet to feel a calling to do so, as it is just great in it's own (not taking performance into account).

Fantastic joy and well done!! I really like, starting with the strong notes of Jasmine revealing once a busy cologne bursting with vivacity and colors. This is strong (a few sprays,my personal opinion) to last long enough. It is not intrusive, but it is present, and this fragrance stands out a lot especially for its particularity. It evolves slowly, my favorite part is the drydown. The notes are well balanced with each other, this is very nice in the spring days or in the summer... is also slightly melancholy,delicate with a touch of tenderness. The vanilla sweetness combined with the delicate of the jasmine is something wonderful, unique and rare. Really beautiful! Sillage: 8.5/10 Longevity: 8/10 Scent: 10/10 Overall: 10/10

It's like sipping your favorite cocktail at noon at your favorite beach resort located in your favorite exotic island. This fragrance evokes light, white, luxury and simplicity. Amazing smell mainly provided by the unusual "fresh" note of rhubarb this perfume is a "concentrate cologne". This means it has a moderate to weak staying power. I guess It depends on skin chemistry as well as temperature outside. Would wear this exclusively during spring/summer time.

OOOO my gosh....how beautiful and unusual this frangrace is! I LOVE IT MADLY! Its very gourmet scent - reminds me marshmallows with grapefruit, vanilla and toffee. Highest class like always by wonderful Herve Gambs!!! Totally in love and very impressed. I was asked many times when i wore this scent - the name of this parfum.

This is a magnificent summer daytime scent but it's 100% feminine. The grapefruit dominates at the opening. Then it becomes very faint giving its place to the mighty jasmine. Strong jasmine note which combined with vanilla and rhubarb creates lilac vibe which stays till the end. The vanilla note is not the common sweet vanilla. It has a discreet sub-sweet feeling and doesn't cover the strong florals. As time passes vanilla becomes a little stronger but jasmine and fake lilac are the dominant vibe. Performance is moderate overall which is very good for edc cocnentration.

Great opening, but the vanilla dry-down ruins it, smells like cheap ice cream and kills the elegance.

I smell fresh mango leaves, AND fresh mangoes blended with grapefruit forming a cocktail! Rhubarb is kept at minimal. This is quite summer fresh as i can't detect any jasmines, mostly mangoes. Interesting.

Quite pleasant stuff, but not what I would call unisex. While I enjoy it, it's pretty floral, and what I would tend to label feminine in nature.
