Crema di Latte

Reading other reviews of this scent, I can see that many Fragranticans have very strong associations between Crema di Latte and other aromas. I am no exception! I recently tried horchata for the first time, and as soon as I put this fragrance on, that experience is immediately what popped into my mind. My second thought was that it smells like the milk in your bowl after you eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The milk, sugar, and cinnamon are extremely realistic. I do feel like I literally smell like a creamy cinnamon beverage. I have a dabber sample from LuckyScent, but the application method doesn't stop Crema di Latte from projecting and lasting on me. Today was a day for errands, and even under my coat and scarf in the cold weather, I could smell it wafting up to me. Very nice and cozy with the nip in the air. This scent remains fairly linear on me from start to finish. I could see it being one where it might strike people more as a food flavor than a perfume. If that's what your after, though, and you want to smell like actual food dessert, then Crema di Latte will be exactly what you need.

This is quite delicious. The top notes seem to be the milk note listed, but sweet like condensed milk. The other notes really shine through in the dry down, coming together to smell very closely to vanilla bean ice cream. The first day I wore this, I got two compliments on my scent. First, a friend told me I smelled like pumpkin pie (3 hours after application). Second compliment (about 7 hours from application), another friend on a walk outside started sniffing the air and said "something smells good, like ice cream." Upon sniffing my wrist, she said, "oh its definitely you." I love gourmand perfumes that project and have amazing silage without being cloying, and this is one of those. In my opinion, this does not smell like pumpkin pie. However, it is gourmand through and through though, so I can see why pumpkin pie might be perceived. Due to the strong ice cream scent I get from this fragrance, like true vanilla bean, I feel this fragrance is still appropriate for summer despite it being so gourmand! This is definitely a perfume that is next up on my "buy list."

Never underestimate an indie-perfumer, this stuff is golden. By some rare chance when purchasing a whole bunch of white chocolate based samples an Ebayer gave a free sample of this with a purchase of a decanted Coco-Blanc by House of Matriarch. In the end it was this, the free sample that impressed the most. The scent is like a fluffy latte like scent... I just imagine marshmallows all the time when I smell it. Its nice, gentle, peaceful and most of all relaxing. I've now gifted a bottle to a loved one. It seems to project nicely, a good scent bubble.. if you stay in a room long enough it fills it but not in a way that makes you gasp for clean air as its rather gentle in the air. On a last note the lady who makes these is lovely and its my first experience buying from an indie-perfumer and won't be my last for sure. Would I buy: Yes especially as a gift Recommended: Certainly worth a sample

Crema di Latte is a gourmand that doesn't hold back. it smells like a very realistic rice pudding made with heavy condensed milk and a dash of cinnamon up top that makes me want to sneeze sometimes. Whenever I wear it out which I don't do very often people around me find it to be 'too much or too sweet' some of those people enjoy gourmands themselves but not Crema di Latte they said 'it's too cloying' so beware I however love it I find to be extremely comforting and unique. It's an unapologetic fragrance that doesn't care about boundaries or limits you want to smell sweet go ahead who cares about what others might think paired with this attitude you and Crema di Latte are a match made in heaven I on the other hand wear it mostly for myself in the comfort of my own room hehe. I get excellent performance with Crema di Latte in both longevity and projection.

HOLY lactonesssss my goodness. This smells exactly like condensed milk and I’m trying to stifle the impulse to own a full bottle for novelty’s sake. It’s just so fascinating that Soliani could make it so photorealistically milky. Crema di Latte is a whispy & cold sweet milk smell, and despite others' complaints about longevity, this is still going strong for nearly two hours now. The reviewer below me is right in that it smells coconutty. It definitely leans that way, but I can smell the intention of Crema di Latte enough to where I am still perceiving condensed milk. If you ended up not liking this on its own, it could make a great base for layering, as it’s “white-smelling" and has a musky character to it (despite no musk listed in the notes). I could definitely amp up any other gourmands in my collection by layering with this.

pleasant and femme. VERY lactonic and VERY gourmand. the notes are simple but they definitely all show up as described, and equally too. it smells a little bit cheap + artificial initially but its dry-down makes that less apparent so i truly think this is a safe blind buy for those who enjoy sweet, gourmand scents. it'll definitely make you smell like a snack and it develops into a decent vanilla. i can see this layering well with bianco latte. it's a cozy little scent that i'd highly consider purchasing a fb of, despite it's slightly steep price point. the bottle is so simple yet so chic, reminds me of VS body mist bottles.

This is the exact smell of spoiled condensed milk with some sugar on top, not really a bad thing if you're into that kind of smell. It's very very foodie, I wouldn't want to smell like this at all. EDIT: I've literally ordered a sample of this 3-4 times, and it grows on you, to the point of falling in love. But, obviously this fragrance is not to go out in, but to enjoy it at home by your self, with a cup of coffee in the morning, or a cup of tea before bed, very cozy, soft, motherly dare I say. It smells very natural.

It smells like heavy cream and a freshly opened bag of vanilla pipe tobacco. A heavenly and nostalgic fragrance for me. It was an instant favorite and signature fragrance worthy! I could bathe in this stuff! Fortunately it's a very high quality concoction with nice projection and staying power, so I don't need an awful lot of it. It also reminds me of "Black Coconut" oil blends from Auric and Kuumba Made. Those scents are much heavier and concentrated but still quite similar.

So cozy and comforting! Smells like warm vanilla pudding with just a little hint of cinnamon in it. Lactonic and sweet but not cloying. Because of its cozy quality I wear this mostly at home. Can be a great bedtime scent as well. Lovely and criminally underrated - at least I haven't heard any YouTube reviewers talk about it and haven't encountered it on the Insta fragcomm either.

I was on a hunt for a scent that reminded me of Philosophy’s Fresh Cream without the spoilt milk note that Fresh Cream has + better longevity. This is it. Sweet, lactonic... almost like condensed milk, that isn’t cloying. The scent is so addicting that I spray this on me before bed every night. I can’t get enough of this scent.

This is the only fragrance that has made me happy lately. Sfogliatella. It’s all fluffy coffee creme filling and I did, at first, get a bit of that powdery plastic doll smell - but it was not unpleasant! I love this but I don’t know if I can afford it. Or can I afford NOT to have it??

A triumph. I have not seen a good milky scent yet, they always come off too sour to me. It is very sweet on the opening. I love how the related products ad on this page is jelly bellies, cinnamon toast crunch, drip coffee, and sweetened condensed milk.

Okay so I walked into an engraving shop and the men were at my beckoned call...literally. This could be the base pie filling custard - so rich and creamy. You can almost taste the sweetness.. So good, so creamy, so edible sweeet. I want this!

Since there are so few reviews, I had to add that, on me, it has a distinctive hot buttery caramel popcorn smell. If I close my eyes, I imagine a faint whiff of cinnamon somewhere, but it's mostly melted butter on me.

If someone has a bottle of this and does not enjoy it, I will gladly take it off your hands. My swap list is in my profile and I'm willing to swap 2 of my niche perfumes for a bottle of this heavenly milky juice.

At first it smells like vanilla extract and then it turns to vanilla with a sweet condensed milk, super lactonic, a comforting smell when I crave something sweet. Smells delicious! Getting a full bottle :)

Predominantly a sweet milk fragrance. I get no cinnamon or lemon. An addictive, delicious gourmand.

Mouthwatering- very much lactonic, like sweetened condensed milk. Almost identical to Matin Calin.

Sweetened condensed milk, caramel, and the cinnamon adds warmth rather than spice. I don’t really feel the lemon or any brightness at all. This is buttery, creamy, and comforting. From application the scent bubble reaches about arms length for 3-4ish hours and then becomes quite intimate, but carries on for 6-8 hours. I wouldn’t mind if it was a little louder, but for my purposes as a new favorite cozy day/bedtime scent, I don’t mind the gentler performance at all. About 1-2 hours in, I pick up a rice pudding vibe; lightly spiced with cinnamon, a swirl of condensed milk cooked down to caramel, and a sheen of caramelized sugar on top. And something about the deep dry down reminds me of the cookie butter note in Sorce’s Snow Moon Magic, my other favorite bedtime scent of the moment. I don’t get any plastic, candle, or lipstick- for me this stays on just the right side of foody. Nothing musky, woody, or earthy to make it more “perfumey”, this is strictly comfort food in a bottle. Pairs perfectly with shorter, colder, winter days and slow evenings. 🫖🥛🍚🌨️🧶🍮

Hilde Soliani Crema di Latte takes the concept of coffee and renders it milky, a notable departure from the coffee scents with which I'm most familiar, including Mugler A*Men Pure Coffee, Kerosene Follow, Sebastiane Expresso Royale, among others. The only listed notes in Crema di Latte are milk, sugar, and cream, but there certainly at least seems to be a notable coffee accord--perhaps not downright espresso, but something at least coffeeish--and perhaps even caramel. Again, it's the creaminess that sets CDL apart from other coffee scents, so it perhaps scratches the dessert itch more so than other coffee scents, it being plenty sweet as well as creamy. It's delectable and richly so. Performance is solid, the blend being cold-weather-leaning but delicious enough to have a place in anyone's day throughout the year, just perhaps not in the extreme heat. 7 out of 10

White french bread with warm milk, sugar, and vanilla; one of my childhood "fancy" bedtime snacks. Crema di Latte bears a striking resemblance to how I recall it smelling: milk, sugar, and vanilla extract--in that order. The sugar and vanilla actually makes this much less lactonic than I was anticipating (I find the milk note in Hot Milk, for example, more "milky" than I do here). And, to my surprise given the name, not a trace of coffee I can detect without tremendous strain of the imagination. It's uncomplicated and cozy--just like its culinary counterpart. I'm sure somewhere there exists a home fragrance candle that smells extremely similar. The scent profile here is not incredibly unique (creamy vanilla), even if executed masterfully. I probably won't bite for a full bottle; not at $160. For less, I almost certainly would.

Sour buttercream blended with warm milk and melted butter. Tart, sweet, very realistic, and might be nauseating to some people. The scent itself is very true to life, a bit nostalgic and comforting. If you are curious about this kind of scent, you should get a sample of Au Lait from Alkemia. EDIT: This perfume continues to be a conversation topic among me and my friends. One said it smells like cheese, one said it smells like strawberry milkshake. Anyway it's very special. I only put it on when I'm going to stay at home. It's my guilty pleasure. EDIT: I actually put this on and was delighted by a warm, sweet, comforting milky vanilla. I don't experience this as very sour at all anymore. Actually it's growing on me and I kinda love it. Still careful to wear this in public, though.

Wow, this is yumminess in a bottle! Instantly reminded me of Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Vanille Abricot, but much more refined with the sweetness toned way down. I really like CSP Vanille Abricot in theory, but the reality is, it's far too sweet for my liking and I am one who loves sweet fragrances. I think the jackfruit and papaya mixing with the sugar in that fragrance pushes it over the edge for me. Crema di Latte, however, is beautifully blended sweetness that stays just to the side of too much. I'm going to test this out further on my skin to see how it develops, but wow, it certainly got my attention in a good way!

This smells like the sweet rice pudding that I make from time to time, right down to the cinnamon stick thrown in to infuse its spicy flavor. Yummy! 😋 I almost wish I had discovered this before I purchased Bianco Latte because there are similarities between the two and adding Crema di Latte to my collection seems redundant. But Bianco Latte is a denser, vanilla caramel syrupy sweet AND has that medicinal coumarin opening that some find intolerable. Crema di Latte doesn't have that and in many ways I like it better lol. And just like that, I talked myself into wanting a full bottle while writing this review! 😅

I received a sample of this. Nice scent. I can smell the milk, sugar, caramel, and vanilla. It comes across a little vanilla cupcakey on me, but the notes I listed are exactly what it smells like. It's gourmand and delicious, but very linear. On a positive note, sillage and longevity are good. If this was $50 or under, I would probably purchase a bottle. However; for the hefty $200 price tag, I think it's a little too linear for my liking. I'm going to enjoy my sample, but will not be purchasing a bottle.

Wow. What an apt name. Thick milk and caramel with just a touch of lemon wafting in and out. Smells like walking into a European coffee shop. Very creamy, thick and dessert like. There are only a few occasions I might wear this on, but it's definitely unique from other gourmands I've smelled. I don't think I'll make a full purchase of this but I'll keep my sample around for occasional special use.

Received this today from Zelda. It smells very much like screaming yellow zonkers, that candy coated popcorn from the 80's, not caramel but buttery, sweet coating. While that was my favorite sweet of the time, I'm not sure I want to smell like it. It is a nice scent, but one that will cause me to overeat goodies because it smells so good. I will wear this, but only after meals.

This was an initial love, with the delicious burnt sugar caramel and vanilla notes, but whew did that lactic smell overpower them. I wasn't getting "rice pudding" or "cream donut", I was getting "fresh carton of milk"! Smells a lot better layered with something spicy.

Smells just like condensed milk. I was a bit skeptical but this is delicious. I will say it can be a bit overly sweet at first. And since it is predominantly just a sweet milk scent I would probably want to layer it with something else to give it some more depth.

Been wearing it for a few days. Initially it was a bit unusual and took some getting used to. Now, I found it sweet, very milky, and with an amaretto note that is unique and pleasant. I think this is strong like :) Not sure if I need a full bottle tho...

It's ok. A little artificial-smelling, and reminds me a bit of a vanilla car freshener. I have to try it again... Edit: I know what this is! Demeter Hawaiian Vanilla without the tropical edge.

It's a sweet lactonic caramel that wears light and sweet, very pleasant, but soft sillage. Slight play-doh but I don't mind. It feels like a very creamy coffee drink.

Fatty, wow. Lavish lactonic dollops of cream, condensed milk and caramel. At no point do I get any kind of citrus, nor cinnamon. Does what it says on the tin.

Hilde Soliani's Crema di Latte is very simplistic vanilla with a milky base. I don't detect any caramel or citrus, but there is a faint ghost of cinnamon on top. I'm surprised that coconut is nowhere to be found within Crema di Latte's notes, because that's the main thing I'm getting. It smells identical to the "coconut oil moisturizing cream" from dollar tree (iykyk). As a matter of fact, all day whilst wearing, my coworkers kept asking "who's wearing coconut lotion?". You'll find this smell in every generic coconut milk hair product. It's not unpleasant whatsoever, just nothing special. You could get this exact same scent from Victoria's Secret or Bath and Body works for a tenth of the cost. And if you're going to be pricing a perfume so high, I think it should be somewhat unique. Or exceptionally well-executed at the very least.

Glad I only got a sample of this. I am a die hard for gourmands- think Casamorati Italica or Lira. But I think I've been spoiled by gourmand fragrances with nuance that aren't linear. Yes this does smell like a baked custard dessert- egg custard that has been baked, or a brulee with the scotched caramel top. But that's it. That's what it's sold as, so I guess I can't really complain. But I guess this left me wanting more. Fragrances usually turn sweet on my skin, but this lent an almost metallic note on me. I'm guessing this is as sweet as it could go and had to do something else to surprise me. Not full bottle worthy, but pleasant if only briefly

Super sweet caramel gourmand. This smells almost exactly like Unite's Lazer Straight Shampoo -- not a negative comment, as I do enjoy the almost sickeningly sweet few minutes of washing my hair. It's very milky, and kind of like a cream-filled donut. It doesn't smell like a "real" dessert, if that makes sense. It's more like a processed, chemical and sugar-laden, bad-for-you sweet treat than a delicately made pastry or dessert with real ingredients. Artificial sweet, rather than a more nuanced vanilla bean-sweet, in my opinion. I would accept if offered as a gift, but probably wouldn't purchase a full bottle myself.

Was excited by this at first... oversprayed and paid the price! I smelled like a cup of stale Starbucks sitting in a hot car for two days! If you want to smell like a latte then this does that for sure. Not my cup of coffee.

This smells like powdered milk. But not plain powdered milk - it's like the sweet, cinnamony, wheaty milk left over from a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Veers a little into honey/urine territory. Very intimate sillage.

Less like "milk", more like "cream". Just like vanilla pudding. I can absolutely also smell a nutty, toasted coconut. Delicious and photorealistic. But I wouldn't say it's very wearable, as it's overly cloying.

the description is amazing --the lactonic aspect is not. the scent started out with milk and sugar then dried to just milk and an ordinary household cleanser.

Hilde and I are incompatible, I think. While it's possibly the best of what I've tried from her brand, I'm really not feeling it. It's certainly sweet, it's certainly vanillic, it's *very* certainly lactonic. I was worried about the cinnamon and lemon notes (since I like neither), but they're really not main characters here and I would even say they're helping round things a bit. Where this really troubles me is the milk impression itself. It's... too lactonic. I've gathered that I like *milky* but not necessarily super lactonic. I need milky scents to feel light and airy, and this borders on sweetened condensed milk. Every time I sniff my arm, my face crinkles up and I'm just disgusted and kind of nauseated by it. It's tolerable if you don't smell it directly, but I have so many scents in my collection that I want to bury myself in from start to finish. I have no room in my collection for something I can't huff directly on my skin.

Ok, so this is what y'all mean when y'all mention a lactonic note in reviews for other fragrances... This was included as a free sample and isn't the sort of gourmand I usually go for, so I hadn't experienced a fragrance quite like this before. Crema di Latte is a superdose of milk flavor. I also get plenty of cinnamon and sugar. If this makes sense: a room-temperature, extra-milky, almost eggnog-y horchata. Finally, only at the very end, I got the caramel I was hoping for. If you *like* how milk smells, you'd love this.

Was roaming through my "notebook" and had a laugh when I saw what my first impression was of Crema di Latte: "OH GOD, IT'S BUTTERED POPCORN JELLYBEAN IN PERFUME FORM. MY NIGHTMARE" Surprisingly this echoes a few other reviews, so I'll leave it at that mildly hilarious one-liner. Definitely a perfume that was a big NO! right off the back, too terrified to even test again, because there are no words for how much I loathe buttered popcorn jellybeans.

From the notes, this should my favorite fragrance ever. But unfortunately it's quite simple and im very underwhelmed. Firstly, the opening has this toasted smell, sort of like toasted coconut (even though it's not listed in the notes). Then the dry down is just sugary caramel. I get zero lemon, and zero cinnamon. This gives me similar vibes as Sol de Janiero Bum Bum Cream scent, but that one is better. This is a no for me.

I find it very gross personally. It has that vanilla-playdoh profile on my skin. HOWEVER, the milk note if finally a realistic one so I guess that's a plus. Smells like hot milk with way too much caramel and a squeeze of lemon. I personally find that I can't stand lemon in gourmand scents but if that's your thing, you may enjoy this. As other comment have said, VERY rich. Very strong. To me, very cloying and a bit gross.
