Donna Sentenza

Donna Sentenza is the banana fragrance I've been searching for it's SO insanely yummy! The banana note is always there from start to finish which is exactly what I want. Donna Sentenza like all of the Hilde Soliani fragrances I've tried smells very realistic there is nothing here that smells cloyingly sweet with that artificial afterbite you find in most designer gourmands these days. This fragrance is a wonderful interpretation of a banana ice cream / milkshake. It opens up smelling like a fancy banana ice cream with actual pieces of banana on it and whipped cream for like an hour and after that the banana note becomes a bit less pronounced and the fragrance feels more like a banana a milkshake the banana note is now on equal grounds with whipped cream and the vanilla. As a kid banana ice cream was my favorite and Donna Sentenza captures that memory like no other fragrance would I wear it and it feels like I haven't grown at all. I get excellent longevity and the projection is strong for the first three hours and then it becomes gradually moderate. When I wore it out earlier today my friend who picked me up immediately asked "Were you eating a dessert before you came?" I laughed and said that it was my fragrance. One last thing I would like to add about this fragrance which might seem a negative to many but I don't mind it in the least Donna Sentenza is a fragrance you wear for yourself there is no Scenario in my head where wearing it would be the perfect so I wear it whenever I want to feel comfortable and happy what I'm trying to say is that if you're someone who worries too much about wearability then this might not be for you.

THIS is what I had hoped CSP Vanille Banane would be! Sweet, fun, & delectable, this is banana pudding with nilla wafers or straight up banana cream pie. The banana is one of the longest lasting ones I've ever come across too. The banana scent doesn't truly fade; the Runtz like quality might, but it develops into a slightly more realistic mashed banana adding a quality that is soft & fresh yet slightly sticky that rounds out the sugary cream & vanilla base into something just a little more different & intriguing than the run of the mill vanilla gourmand. Truly delightful, and makes me want to lick my own arm!

Three words; Banana Laffy Taffy. This is an elegant banana fragrance, which smells completely identical to Banana candy, honestly that’s the only thing I can smell in it. It is super relaxing and calming, making it very easy to love. The only reason somebody could not like this is because of how simple it is, but nonetheless, the quality and uniqueness of it is unlike anything I’ve smelt before. I will definitely wear this in spring a lot, I can’t wait to buy a full bottle. Smell: 10/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 9.5/10 Value: 8.5/10 (would definitely be lower if it wasn’t an 100ml) OVERALL: 9.7/10

The opening is a dead ringer for Banana Runtz candy, which made me giggle. Synthetic banana doesn't last long; it quickly goes to vanilla pudding with sliced bananas and vanilla wafers. My cats jumped up on me and started licking my arm right after I put this on. I'm not crazy into gourmands, but I thought this one was so fun. Most gourmand people I know want "beast mode" fragrances. This isn't that fyi, but it smells great and made me laugh in surprise. Definitely worth the sample!

This may not be everyone’s experience, but I am in love with Donna Sentenza. Yes, it’s linear. But it is perfect. It is banana pudding— an artificial one, though. A bright yellow one. With sweet, freshly made whipped cream. And it’s sticky and sweet but perfect, not too much. I showered and eyed a bunch of new samples I’ve been waiting for, and I just wanted to put it back on. It’s so fun and on me lasted all day. Perfect.

Yes. It does smell like CSP Vanille Banane. It’s a better smell and deeper, just like the notes - banana and whipped cream with a vanilla extension. CSP does last longer with more punch but it is slightly synthetic this is more natural. Both remind me of an Aussie candy Allens Banana’s. I love them both and as far as I’m concerned they are the best gourmand scents for bananas.

100% banana runts in liquid form. A playful scent. The initial spray is intense. A while later, vanilla and cream come out more, but it still remains unmistakably banana-runty. Sits close to the skin. Very synthetic, as expected, especially if you take a big sniff right up against your arm. That said, I was huffing it all day since I really love that artificial banana flavour.

I have a sample of this and I blind bought Vanille Banane from a private seller. I felt rich one day and thought it would be fun to sniff some banana... Donna Sentenza is so much better! Vanille Banane, probably because of the vanille, smells a little bit like the banana has started to get brown spots, while Donna Sentenza is really fresh but still realistic.

A beautiful banana masterpiece!! This isn’t hyperealistic bananas off a tree, but instead a banana pastry or a banana candy scent. Genuinely reminds me of banana pudding for sure, sweet whipped bananas with decadent cream. It’s so sweet, smooth and addicting. The sillage was pretty strong and lasted a while when I tested.

This is one of the best fruity gourmands I've ever tried. To me, the top notes didn't give away the heart note of banana. In the top, all I knew was that I was smelling fruit - delicious fruit! The drydown of this is smooth and creamy - well-blended and not in-your-face banana. It's sweet, gentle, and innocent. I love it!

Reminded me of my old banana-ice vape until it dried down into the most indulgent and gooey banana desert. It turns almost savory, like a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl. I feel like I’m at a Hobbit’s table. Day by day I grow more fond of gourmands and it’s all because of Hilde!

This is pure vanilla heaven! Donna Sentenza smells like a warm hug on a cold day. It's sweet and comforting, but not overly sugary. The tropical notes add a playful touch that keeps it from being too heavy. Absolutely love it!

Sweet Delicious Creamy 🍌 Banana 🍌 Milkshake. 🍌 Hilde knows how to do gourmand fragrances, for sure. I could smell this all day. LOVE LOVE LOVE. next day smells like a Banana Flambe on your arm. *not like CSP Vanille Banane

I mix this with Kyse perfumes and bountalenti. It’s a confectionary photo realistic banana dessert. Opens with ripe sugared bananas, with custard, dolloped with cream, topped with meringue. My banana master piece.

Just like all of her scents I’ve tried, it’s absolutely delicious with zero performance. I wish they’d last longer. Sadly, I cannot justify buying fab with such weak longevity.

If CSP Vanille Banane is banana candy, Donna Sentenza is a banana popsicle. Very similar in banana flavor, but a slightly different interpretation of it. The CSP has more of a burnt sugar, drier, slightly powdery feel to it, while this is similarly sweet, veering on juicy. The banana is stronger and fades less quickly in Donna, though it also feels a little more monotone, perhaps more like a layering note than a full-fledged perfume. As tiresome as the ambroxan, iso super, etc. bases in gourmands are getting, I can understand the choice as a functional one when trying a simpler perfume like this, where it feels almost suspended. While I don't find the performance terribly weak and I can appreciate that it's not headache inducing, it does feel pricey for what's essentially 2-3 hours of a fun, silly note. Still, I must commend the blending, as there's nothing scratchy to speak of.

Is it possible for a perfume to have a sense of humor? The linear, lighthearted Donna Sentenza feels playful, maybe even a little mischievous. The advertising copy emphasizes the idea that the fragrance smells like a complicated bougie dessert, but to me it’s much more reminiscent of banana candy — specifically, the candy from those old-timey machines where you insert a quarter and it spits the product into your palm sans any packaging. This simplicity lends Donna Sentenza a certain versatility and I’d say it’s equally appropriate for a fun-loving woman of any age. The scent has gentle-to-moderate sillage and average staying power — unlike a lot of Hilde Soliani fragrances, this one isn’t a powerhouse. A solid choice if you’re looking for a summery, upbeat daytime scent that isn’t citrusy or fresh.

A creamy-sweet banana candy, this smells exactly like banana laffy taffy, which is undoubtedly the best kind! Its sweet and fun but not at all cloying, though it does get more sugary as it dries down, which it does so pretty fast. Generally photorealistic fragrances aren't ones I'd want to wear out but this one is enjoyable. Sillage is pretty intimate so wearing it feels like a fun little treat to myself--just like laffy taffy! I don't have a specific picture of what the human embodiment of this perfume is yet... some people have said its like a beautiful clown but I will have to disagree with that one lol.

Bubblegum, then banana Runts and bubblegum. The creaminess comes in just as the fragrance begins to dissipate, which is sadly, very soon after applying. Not my favorite from this line, but fun, and a likeable banana scent, as banana scents go. I don't think I'd purchase anything from this house because the performance is just too disappointing; it's really too bad, since I appreciate the whimsy and "indie" aesthetic. I don't want monstrous sillage, but at least need to be able to enjoy the fragrance on myself for a few hours. Although, this still somehow has better longevity than CSP Vanille Banane.

This transported me to the resort restaurant where my mom used to waitress when I was a kid. My sister and I spent most of our weekends wading in the pools.. sipping bottomless Island Oasis smoothies from the bartender, who I called Shaggy. We were obsessed with the banana flavor, so much so my mom would bring the commercial grade mix home. This IS that mix. It’s not a banana it’s a thicksyrupybanana-flavored something. As for banana fragrances, Daisy by Marc Jacob’s has always smelled exactly like a banana peel to me?

The sweetest, ripest, most blemish-free peeled yellow banana topped with whipped cream and then sprinkled with Banana Runts candies on top of that for good measure. 😆 If it had a bit more longevity it would be the best banana perfume out. Unfortunately that banana note fades kind of quickly to the background in favor of vanilla cream. Still smells yummy though. Will have to experiment with layering combos to make it last.

Smells like banana Laffy taffy on my skin. 30 minutes later smells like a mix of that and crushed sweet tarts or something. It's interesting. It's not badly done at all, I like it. I think the vanilla somehow saves it from becoming too foody, even though that doesn't make much sense. Probably not fb worthy but it's unique enough (to me at least) and if it came in a smaller travel spray I'd maybe buy it.

As I enjoy the scent cloud, bananas Foster comes to mind, minus the cinnamon. It is warm, sugary, creamy, boozy and with rich vanilla ice cream base that lasts all day. This was a successful blind buy. I absolutely love this. Edit *** The vanilla ice cream stays in the dry down, as if the brown sugar is melted and carmelized. If you love true gourmands, you can't go wrong with this!

Bought a sample to test from Luckyscent.com and enjoy it! Skin scent that lasts about 4 hours in 90 degree heat with no scent trail. This definitely smells a lot like CSP Vanille Banane that is stronger, lasts longer by about 2 hours, and leaves scent trail. Tempted to buy bottle but unless I find a good sale on it I don’t need 2 perfumes so similar.

opens with a beautiful banana note but quickly dries down to a sweet vanilla scent, which is cute but unmemorable. i get about 6 hours of wear with it which is better than most hilde soliani scents i've tried! still on the hunt for the perfect banana scent :( overall rating: 🩷🩷🩷💔🖤 3.5/5

Exactly what it looks like. Pure, unadulterated bananas and cream. Smells like those Jell-o banana pudding packets, artificial and sweet - it's perfect! While I'd never buy a full bottle I think a little decant would be fun to own on days where I just wanna smell simple and delicious.

I got a sample from Luckyscent. This is a nice fragrance-- the banana does indeed lead toward "Runts candy," and it is almost a tad too sweet for me. The vanilla drydown is beautiful but very soft (projection/strength/sillage). Not worth the $160 to me.

Banana runts. Turns to banana pudding with a buttery whipped cream. I do really like it. It's a fun candy like scent that's light and not overwhelming in how sweet it is. I wouldn't say it lasts long on me but it is a fun pick me up kind of scent.

Starts out like Banana Laffy Taffy. Ends up a yummy cacao. It's a pretty soft ride, or my sample (purchased secondhand) is old. I like it. Banana doesn't last too long and isn't too in your face. I'm really here for the chocolate drydown.

I think I’m past the point of wanting to smell like a literal dessert, but holy bananas (pun intended) this is a fantastic gourmand. The most realistic banana I’ve smelled, too.

Opening is straight up banana laffy taffy, as it warms on the skin the whipped cream comes out quite a bit more. Very pleasant but I’m not sure I’d buy a full bottle.

So Banana is ‘the scent of the summer’ this year and I found the idea of a banana perfume very whimsical. I got a little 1mil sample of Donna Sentenza to try! 🍌 The first thing that hit me was a cloying candy banana scent. 🎈 I thought, ‘oh my, that’s strong!’ but I knew I had to wait for the dry down. It was too much for me and my hope was for it to give way to a more milky scent. So I had that banana candy scent on my arms as I did classwork and it took about an hour before the dry down started to give way to a frosting sugar smell. There was also a dry musk smell that wafted up. I thought it was actually really nice, but also polarizing! Like an artificial banana sugar cookie with pillowy musk. The cloying smell never went away, just melted into the dry-down. I ended up getting overwhelmed and had to wash it off after a couple hours because it was too much for all night. It more so feels like a special occasion perfume, if it’s your birthday or you’re going to a carnival or a girl’s night out. A non-cloying and very safe option is Marshmallow Mush by IRFE. It doesn’t have the drama but it’s non-offensive and acceptable in any situation while remaining sweet, dainty and whimsical. It’s not for daily wear, but I thought it would be perfect for clown-core costume looks! 🤡 I just imagine a fantasy of working at a carnival as a beautiful clown (those glam looks on social media) and chilling in a fun-house after hours with my love-interest co-worker, a fellow carnival clown. The walls would be red with warm dim lights, the tall mirrors distorted, we’d have some syrupy Fireball whiskey and a meaningful moment cuddled in each other’s arms. Where they’d be smelling my banana sugar musk perfume. ❤️

Initial blast of runts but the banana fades almost immediately. I'm not a fan of the dry down which is semi burnt root beer barrel. I think this is an issue of skin chemistry though and not the perfume's fault. I am giving up on banana as a tasty concept for now, unless I see something that specifically promises banana bread.

Like others have said, this is truly Runts Bananas. Simple, straight forward, pungently sweet with good sillage for about 30 minutes. After that it stays on the skin for about 1 hour before it fades entirely.

A banana variety of circus peanuts, in texture and 'flavor.' Aggressively sweet. Not the worst, but also not interested in wearing it.

This smells like banana runts. That artificial candy banana scent that you either love or hate. I am not a fan of this fragrance. I had hoped it would be creamy banana pudding but it definitely is not. Only lasted a little over an hour on me which is always disappointing.

This smells like you’re 10 years old and you’re eating banana runts from one of those quarter operated dispensers in an auto shop while you and your parents wait for the car to be fixed. Somehow this even has the rubber smell from the tires.

It does smell like banana and whipped cream but I also get a bit of seaweed-like note on my skin.

Imo this has been reformulated & not for the better. The last bottle I had was round without a cap & had a lovely deep yellow liquid. I recently received the newer bottle pictured & it’s a mere ghost of the past :( The older formulation was rich, decadent candied banana laffy taffy with whipped cream and a Graham cracker crust, with monster performance & sillage. It also left more of an oily presence on skin. The new iteration has a clear liquid & smells artificial, waxy, burnt, Smokey & plasticy with a hint of banana & leaves no residue on skin after sprayed. It’s performance is abysmal as well :( What once was a decadent banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery has become a mundane Snack pack Banana cream pie pudding cup scattered on a random shelf in Walmart *sighs*

i got a bunch of samples of hilde soliani and honestly i am having so much fun , this line makes me smile is so simple , so yummy , i am in love , it smells like banana bread and i may need one bottle , amazing ! side note after wearing it for an hour plus ,be careful while testing . many gourmands ,this one in particular have a very strong sillage that no dishwasher , handwash or any other kind of thing could remove and i don ́t know the first 5 minutes are amazing fresh bananas but at leat for me the drydown is on the very heavy bready side and can be migraine inducing , still like it but spray with care

Right off the bat, it smells like banana laffy taffy. Once it dries down, it’s not so intense, but still super delicious. I feel like it could be interesting to pair it with something more vanilla heavy, but I still love it on its own. In terms of perfumes listed as similar— ❌ Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Banane: initially a bit similar, but it very quickly loses its sweetness and turns grassy ❌ Kayali Maui in a Bottle: nowhere near as sweet

I’m currently riding out an obsession with synthetic artificial banana. What IS that smell anyway? 🤷🏻♀️ It’s certainly not banana, but it’s so yummy. This fragrance straight up smells like Laffy Taffy banana. For me, someone who is obsessed with that scent and flavor, it’s a dream come true. If you’re looking for a more tropical banana leaf leaning fragrance, this isn’t it. This is banana Runts, Laffy Taffy, Haribo gummies, banana milkshake.

Opening is the best part - pure artificial banana candy - awesome. Don't get any 'cream'. Middle and dry down comes soon and shares some similarities with Demeter Banana Flambee. The difference is Demeter has that cookie dough note from the beginning (which some might not enjoy?) If you aren't so fussy and can sacrifice the better opening, save $200 and get Demeter. The bottles coincidentally look similar too? Fun scent!

Looks almost like a dupe of Comptoir Sud Pacifique's Vanille Banane, at least the first three notes are exactly the same so I assume the two scents smell incredibly similar. I do like Vanille Banane, but it smells so much like Banana Laffy Taffy that I'm not sure I could wear it publicly without people thinking I've got a mouth full of Banana Laffy Taffy, LOL.

It is something nice to have in your Collection, i never smelled Something like this and I’m very Curious about the compliments of Strangers. The opening is pure banana candy heaven! This type of banana scent is what I have been longing for. It is strong, bright, sweet, creamy and a true amyl acetate banana candy scent! 🍌💛 BUT-----! Unfortunately on my skin, it smells like sweet BUTTER (almost popcorn butter) and no banana... 😭. Oh, I wish this worked for me. 😞🧈
