Drink Menta

This one is my favorite of the Ristorante Olfattivo collection. The mint here is not ice cold, it's sweetened and soft, a more fresh herbal minty impression than straight mint, nothing like the toothpaste effect experienced often with the note. Mint also often rapidly degrades into something stale, but not the case with Drink Menta. In the background I sense the slightest floral aspect. A strong milk note is immediately present which I recognize it from other HS scents but very quickly recedes. Drink Menta is a beautiful fragrance and quite different from other mint-themed perfumes that I have experienced in my years sampling and searching. It will take a prominent place in my summer lineup.

After sniffing some other poorly done gourmands from bigger, designer houses was when I came to realize that Hilde really is the gourmand queen. I love this scent and it's incredibly unique for a gourmand. Yet, it makes you think– why hasn't this been made before? Maybe this is niche and something that only Californians would get, but this scent smells like the perfect mojito coffee from Philz Coffee. Yep, if you are addicted to the weird but wonderful combination of mint and creamy iced coffee...congrats! You can wear it without smelling like a syrupy, sugary mess.

When I was a young kid in the early 80s, I had a scratch and sniff book about a mischievous kitten that got into lots of “trouble” due to her bright and curious nature. On one of her adventures, she finds herself in a field of mint. The mint was scratch and sniff. It smelled like kitten, cream and fresh mint. Anyway, I forgot about that book for the last 40 years until I smelled my new decant of Drink Menta tonight. I had an instant flashback of that sweet book, that kitten’s fragrant journeys and the beginning of my love for mint fragrances. Incredible.

i once sprayed a sample of this, then proceeded to get complimented by 3 different strangers while buying kitty litter. in an instant it became my most complimented perfume experience. while i'm not typically an overt gourmand person, a caramel person OR a mint person (in fragrance, at least), hilde, the queen of gourmands, continues to break my brain. her perfumes do something really special on skin, becoming of you. you're not saying "i want to smell like branca menta", you're declaring "I AM BRANCA MENTA!!!!!!"

If there ever was a gourmand to wear in the summer, it would be this. I love smelling like a stracciatella ice cream with a hint of mint. So much fun. So beautiful.

Im always looking for a spearmint scent that is bright but not medicinal. The caramel takes care of that. I got a sample from scentsplit to check it out along with another 5 samples and this was my favorite by far. It felt fresh but didnt veer into mouthwash territory. The caramel sweetness comes later; didnt feel cloying to me. It needs a third divergent element though: maybe layer with a black pepper? I'll write more after i experiment some more.

There is something citrusy in here that’s very faint but that I love. It reminds me of a peppermint cooler more than it does anything winter mint flavored. Like one of those lemonades served in a lemon with a peppermint candy straw. I thought this would be a winter scent but it feels light and springy to me. I’d never wear a full bottle but I’m happy to have the sample!

this reminds of me of when my grandma and i would sit in church, i would lean over and ask for a piece of gum. she would pull out a piece orange flavored trident. her purse always smelled like the orange trident, mints, & butterscotch. so nostalgic and wonderful <3

An iced caramel latte with a shot of fernet. Wish it was a little less sweet but maybe that means I'm not the target audience! As sweet gourmands go this is the best one I've tried. Leans feminine but if think would be more interesting and fun on a man.

Minty, spicy, green & sweet! This is so interesting! There’s something cold and refreshing about it. It’s cool and interesting. I might have to grab a decant for summr, can’t justify the price.

Buttery mint!? How strange! It's like smelling a spring of mint on a caramel flan. It's also giving a soda vibe. Very weird!!! It is cool from the mint but warm from the caramel. Unexpected, refreshing, sweet, unique, playful. The mint fades after a couple hours and it's mostly salted caramel. Does not last all day. 6/10

I got a very brief whiff of mint when I first sprayed it but it dissipated very quickly and what remained was a powdery sweetness that was more akin to Play Doh than caramel. It's pleasant enough and I will probably finish my small sample vial but it isn't the crisp, cool mint that I'm looking for.

A hyperrealistic and hyperpleasant mint caramel. Although I see people comparing it to a latte, there is no coffee note in here. Most definitely a skin scent on me.

Photorealistic gentle fresh mint leaves. Very herbal. I don't get any caramel whatsoever - just a light watery scent, almost like skim milk.

The mint note is diabolical, it doesn’t smell like fresh mint it smells like a menthol vape 😭

photorealistic freshly crushed mint, aromatic, green, mentholated, and fresh, paired with creamy caramel and a hint of chilled ice notes. Smells like a cold summers mojito with creamy caramel drizzled on the sides of the glass. Very refreshing and chilly while still maintaining a subtle warmth from the caramel in the full dry down. Hilde Soliani does something really incredible with her gourmands that feel like a master chef making something Michelin star worthy in their kitchen. Amazingly done

I’m initially hit with a sharp cilantro scent with a slight sour milk smell. The sourness dissipates and it smells more like cilantro on me, but its toned down with the caramel. The caramel note however is not that obvious, it’s lingering behind the mint. It’s a unique and fresh scent. After an hour or two, it transforms into this delicious marshmallow scent that isn’t too synthetic or juvenile. It would definitely vary on each person depending on their skin chemistry.

I wore this in the Summer but I think it would be so lovely in the Winter as well. I love sweet mint scents and there aren't too many on the market, this is a great one. Could work for day or night. Reminds me of after-dinner chocolate mints.

on blind sniff, got something cold and alcoholic, but must’ve been the association with mint to a mojito. quite photorealistic to some sort of iced, minty drink. didn’t get to try on skin but i did not get caramel.

This is really nice mint lovers will dig this. It’s like a fresh crushed up mint leaf with a subtle caramel background. This is nice and refreshing with a chilly feeling about it.

A refreshing and serene combination of sparkly mint and milky caramel. The color of seafoam green, the final touch on a dessert full with mirth, the mermaid's gourmand.

A real creamy drink gourmand. Straight up caramel iced frappe.
