E Sempre Natale

This is extremely festive! The spice blend is somewhat similar to Musc Ravageur’s. It is very clove and cinnamon-forward with a tannic black tea effect to begin. It is sweet but not majorly so, and softens on the skin to give a mulled apple cider effect, and the ambers provide warmth and nostalgia. It’s like sipping a hot toddy next to a (not smoky!) fireplace with cinnamon brooms nearby. Not really a gourmand, but I guess could be an apple cider gourmand, with the ambers providing depth and maturity. Could be a fall-winter frag for anyone who likes these notes, even if it does scream Christmas.

This smells like Christmas spices to me. Star anise and cloves. I love it so much that after two sample spritzes, I bought a bottle. This is truly my new obsession. It is very light, which I like. But the scent remains. It is as if the baking scents have wafted into my hair and it's just so lovely. I also find that it mixes well with other light scents, like Mojave Ghost or Princess or Love You Latte. This is a very unusual scent, but I find that I want to smell it every day.

To me it is a sultry, sexy, amber-ish, root beer/gingerbread fragrance. it has a beautiful melange of spices, the sweet moody presence of amber and something I can't quite put my finger on. But i can say that i love it. I got a decant to try it first, but now I am going to just get the full size.

"And Always Christmas". There is supposed to be spices, amber and biscuit here. For me it is cloves and anise. I think this would layer wonderfully with a milk or musk scent, such as Chabaud's Lait series or something like Ginger Biscuit. Another wonderful fragrance by the QUEEN of gourmand!

This opens dangerously close to candle territory, but evades it before hitting the skin. I am then hit with a fun cranberry note, specifically like opening a fresh bag of Craisins, with that little whiff of plastic that somehow makes them more appealing than fresh. I have long wanted a more feminine version of Polo Red for that note alone, and this fulfills that. I also get some cinnamon, perhaps a little nutmeg, that my brain is ready to interpret as a Michael's store, yet stays just soft and realistic enough, as if it's wafting out of a pumpkin muffin. A citrus cake blends in nicely, almost like this could be the holiday flanker for D&G Devotion. Just a dab from a sample vial is enough to provide some throw. The scent mostly remains linear; it might increase my enjoyment if I was taken on a little journey, but it is already quite a fun wear. I'm not mad that there isn't any annoying musk-y base note as a result. I wouldn't go into this expecting the most realistic gourmand ever, it is a tad uncanny valley, but in an inoffensive and pleasant way that matches its festive mood. It also isn't "too Christmas-y" to wear anytime; it would actually work well for Easter, too. E Sempre Natale is worth trying if a spicy fruitcake appeals to you and while it leans feminine, I would still place it as unisex. It's a shame that Hilde doesn't make smaller bottles, forcing us into buying off-brand decants, as I can imagine few with a collection would require 100ml of a scent like this. Otherwise, her prices per ml are fair.

Sampling Hilde Soliani – E Sempre Natale, which seems to translate to “and always Christmas,” fittingly a spicy blend with notes of spices, biscuits, and amber. The most prominent and distinguishing aspect is a sort of ginger snap / gingerbread – type of space, which makes it both a gourmand yet smell like many room scents that are sold around Christmas. So it’s loaded with associations, context, and the name itself all pointing to a certain time of year, environment, or perhaps experience. I like it but not as much as a personal fragrance on me as a room scent or perhaps a general ambience. It's EDP concentration and priced at $175 for 100ml like most of the line, very reasonable for generally exceptional works from the queen of gourmands. And in the US, Luckyscent seems to remain the only boutique / point of sale. 7 out of 10

I haven't sprayed this on my skin yet but on fabric it is so nice! Its not what I would want to smell like on a daily basis, but it is like memories in a bottle for me. It smells exactly like christmas--drinking eggnog while decorating the tree when I was a child, christmas classics playing in the background. honestly I wanted to cry when I smelled it. It smells exactly like eggnog to me in a good way, creamy and somewhat lactonic with the cinnamon, nutmeg, and other holiday spices. I need to test it on my skin at some point I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

It grew on me. Her perfumes are too expensive. But it comforted me when I needed to be comforted. I first tried it when it came out, around the holidays. For us Americans, it is a very winter holiday reminiscent perfume. Cloves, oranges, spices. But I rediscovered the sample, and like I said, those are comforting smells. So I bought the damn thing. It's simple. It works even in the spring.

This is Christmas in a bottle! It smells like a Christmas market. Very cute unique scent, perfect for the holiday season. Warm, spicy and sweet.

It smells like egg nog to me at first and then more like a spicy Christmas cookie. More spice than cookie. I get a lot of cloves, a little nutmeg and star anise. I love it but I love the smell of holiday baking. I'm a little worried that it smells too conspicuously of that but do I really care? Does it have a place outside of a festive occasion? I don't know but I'm strongly considering a bottle. I find it much longer lasting on me than a lot of Hildes too

This is so pretty! Oh my...just like my mother's Christmas cake! it smells like vanilla, cacao, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, molasses...and love...and hugs... This is Christmas in a bottle. What a blessing is to have Hilde Soliani creations! You know...it also reminds me of Gourmand Coquin with increased spices and amber... Lovely. I need a full bottle.

On first blush this hits so distinctly as a gusher I can see my childhood classroom. That first hit burns off quickly, and then this really is the essence of christmas. Eggnog, biscuits, dried oranges draped around the room. Hilde is the queen of gourmands for a reason, this is remarkably delicious, and I'm excited to try more by her.
