Il Tempo Delle...

Um, this is absolutely freaking delicious! Don't buy this unless you're prepared to handle complete strangers leaning in trying to sniff your hair. I sprayed it on myself at Scent Bar and spent the rest of the day being chased around LA by people asking for the name of my perfume. At one point, I was in a meeting and everytime a new person walked in the room they exclaimed "Someone smells really good!" and everyone would laugh because each previous person through the door said the same thing. On first spray, it's tart, sweet, crisp green apple. Then it's joined by milky, creamy buttery notes and a strong rich vanilla. Patchouli is in here as well. The drydown gave me Angel vibes but with heaps of green apple and cream. It's really great and there's waaaaayyy more going on with this than apple, sugar and vanilla. I now have a full bottle and it's a compliment getter and the longevity is fantastic. My only complaint is for the price these bottle are ugly and cheap looking. I mean come on, please give me something I can display on my dresser for this price.

This yummy scent is a favorite to wear to bed or while baking. It smells like juicy green apples in a flaky pie crust with hint of cinnamon after pie is taken out of oven. Projection is not good but I don’t mind it being a skin scent. It only lasts about 2-3 hours but reapplying it is no big deal. This is a delicious layering scent with other gourmand perfumes that may need a little boost. Spraying this in my hair does leave a scent trail. I like to layer this with tea scents that may be too plain or strong. This is a safe blind buy if you love apple pie, gourmand sweet scents, and want a tasty layering perfume for your collection.

For me, Il Tempo delle Mele is somewhat a departure from most of the Hilde Soliani offerings that I've tried in that it leans somewhat fresh and less dessert-centric. as her fragrances often do, ITDM involves a relative simple note listing of apple, vanilla, and sugar, but because the apple is somewhat tart, it contrasts the sweetness of the rest of the mix pretty effectively, and renders the entire perfume more warm- or mild-weather appropriate as opposed to being a heavier-leaning dessert item that is best reserved for winter (i.e. Buonissimo). Performance is more modest than most Hilde Soliani entries but that makes sense due its composition resulting in a lighter, tarter product. Still quite delicious, unisex, and, as mentioned above, versatile. A refreshing departure from the norm, as well. 7 out of 10

It’s amazing how this perfume goes through several very distinct versions of apple possibilities, and also how fast it happens. Crunchy and tart green apple morphs into a golden sweet and a little spicy apple cider within the first 5 minutes of applying to skin. This cider then turns into a baked apple dessert with generous helpings of fluffy vanilla and a sense of golden pie crust in the next 30 minutes after that. But occasionally it will revert back to the beginning; the tart green apple reappears, and the cycle starts again. Sadly lasts only a few hours on my skin.

Not my favorite HS I've sampled so far, but I do get the appeal. I don't get a buttery, apple pie scent from this, but a sweet, tart granny smith apple shampoo with a milky vanilla that borderlines on the synthetic side (reminds me of coconut shampoo). It's far from generic and is not as aldehydic and squeaky clean as a Garnier Fructis shampoo. The dry down is really pretty and turns into a sweet, milky skin scent.

I'm a Hilde fan, and this is the first of hers I've tried that I haven't been impressed with. The apple on the open reminds of this insect we have in my area that when you kill it, it has a vaguely apple scent, I think perhaps a cave cricket? I actually mean that in a positive way since the smell is somewhat pleasant, but it still makes me think of that. After that it turns into something that reminds me of apple oatmeal, then the vanilla comes in with a bit of a synthetic bent. It's not bad, it's just meh.

this truly is an amazing perfume. hilde is just so good at perfecting such simple scents, it really smells like apple and vanilla it's absolutely insane. on paper I really do love it but on my skin its not for me, which I kind of had a feeling it would since apple notes usually don't come out right on me. there's no way I can rate it as dislike though because without my body involved this is truly perfume magic!

Way too sweet for me, as I just can’t tolerate vanilla in huge doses. I can’t stand the vanilla opening BUT the dry-down is intriguing as something dark resides here. I can at least appreciate the malty dark base, it’s almost coffee-like, so reminds me of a creamy Irish coffee - but this is only in the final stages of the dry down.

The tart juicy green apple invites me in. Then the medicinal herbs shove me away. As others mention below, I believe there are several other notes missing from the listing above. I too notice patchouli and the pungent herb smell of Chinese medicines. If you like unique scents with apple, you should give this a try.

Opens like fresh green apples but then turns into those sour green candy sprays you use to love as a kid. Immature and synthetic smelling. I smell a thick cloying smell underneath it all which doesn't help.

Dry down smells like kid pee ☹️

Hilde Soliani's perfumes are always a hit or miss for me. Her work is polarizing and many of her perfumes are pure works of art, sometimes at the expense of wearability. However, Hilde is certainly the one to look to for unique gourmands. Her vanillas - often in the shape of milk or sugar notes - are to die for. Personally, my favourite is Vani Choc. Apple and vanilla indicate an apple pie kind of scent, like La Danza delle Libellule by Nobile 1942, where the apple is red and mealy. A cheaper dupe of said perfume would be Golden Sand by Al Rehab. Also Lann-Ael by Lostmarc'h is a wonderful milky vanilla with hints of apple. I couldn't help myself but to order a sample of Il Temp Delle Mele immediately, being a big fan of Hilde's work, and a big lover of gourmands. Il tempo delle mele, time for apples, was not what I expected. The sugar and vanilla notes indicated a warm, buttery scent like her other new scent Sweet Home, or like her classic Crema di Latte. However this opens with a very crisp and tart, almost sour, green apple. The apple has a quite soapy feel to it, dare I say like apple hand wash? The tartness mellows but unfortunately there is no grounding vanilla in the base that I can detect, it's apple throughout the whole wear. The lack of vanilla is what makes this a dominantly fresh and fruity perfume, as opposed to warm and bakery like. Even though the drydown is naturally warmer and less fresh, I'm missing that vanilla. Longevity is great. This is a miss for me solely because of my preferences and expectations of something else. Il Tempo Delle Mele was not for me, but I never regret sampling Hilde.

this scent really confused me. it smells like a delicious juicy apple, but then immediately turns super sharp and dirty smelling on me. idk if it’s just my skin chemistry rejecting this, or if there is actually a really nasty musk note that isn’t mentioned. i usually handle fruity scents very well, so the latter is my best guess?? at first i thought the issue was because i tried it at the same time as rococo pie, which does have strong amber notes, but when i tried il tempo delle by itself the next day to give it another chance, i realized it was actually this one that had that dirty smell, and i had to wash it off!! the worst part is that super sharp musk is the only part that projects; i don’t get any of the sweet apple or vanilla at arms length. ill probably try it again soon because im still so confused why this is happening, and i hope it’s just a fluke, but i have not liked this one so far ):

The initial blast smells exactly like these green caramel apple lollipops we use to eat in middle school and high school. But the dry down is where it took an unexpected turn for me. There’s a chain of stores in california called TS emporium that sold all sorts of dried Chinese medicines and herbs and I’ll never forget the smell inside. While not strong, it was always distinct and slightly bitter and medicinal. On me, the dry down of Il tempo delle took on a tiny hint of that smell mixed with the previous caramel apple sweetness so that the scent is more interesting and not fully linear. The only con is that Hilde soliani bottles look so cheap and ugly. Honestly for the price, I think they could put more effort in the bottle and labels. I’ll likely pick up a fully bottle in the fall.

Tried first as a sample and was immediately hit with green apple shampoo, specifically, Head and Shoulders green apple scent. I quickly became addicted to chasing the tart candy green apple opening and needed to buy a full bottle asap. The green apple note becomes overpowered by warm butter and vanilla quicker than I might like, but the apple still lingers below the surface. Soapy! I would avoid it in warmer weather: it smells more like apple cider and sweet urine. Definitely save this one for crispier fall evenings when you just want to be cozy. If you need a fresh hit of green apple, simply reapply! Inspired by Italian baked apple cake. Lots of warmth. I love Hilde Soliani- the QUEEN of gourmand.

I don’t get the green Apple shampoo from this, I get more of a non spiced baked Apple pie creamy vibe. It’s not warm and spicy like angel’s share, it’s more of a la danza type of scent but this one is more gourmand and creamy to me It’s really pretty but definitely a skin scent so you want to overspray I really like it!!

Apples, vanilla and cream/milk. At first distinct apples, then I get more fruity baked good, or baked apple desert where the crisp apple is gone and replaced by sweet baked apple cake. Add a dollop of homemade whipped cream and you have this fragrance.
