Mango On The Rocks

The scent of the powerful water interacting with minty neutralizing shampoo, hair dryers that are on with ladies sitting underneath, and someone having their hair brushed and power blow-dried. A hair salon is oddly what I get in the opening. Maybe the kind of mint in Mango on the rocks is associated with these scent memories for me. It smells clean in that sense. Based on the notes, it’s more of a chilled hard-fleshed coconut, lots of crushed mint leaves, and green mango in the opening. I can see how the mint might be off-putting and harsh to some but it’s more like a minty shampoo or handful of mint leaves to me than toothpaste which I wouldn’t like. After it settles in some minutes, a more creamy mango-coconut appears that is subtle in its sweetness. It starts to smell more like a mojito, a fave. I like this? but it isn’t the sweet fruity, juicy fragrance you’re thinking of like the accords wrongly imply. It’s not a safe buy. There’s no other fragrance I can think of that smells like or similar to this. It’s unique, cooling, and luckily no where close to the “reminds of” section. Best as a refreshing scent for hotter seasons but can be a clean one for other seasons. It’s nice to know Hilde Soliani’s favorite fruit is also mango, probably why I love her interpretation. Not keen on the bottle’s look but it has a fine-mister that sprays out a good amount even though it doesn’t last too long on skin, so just be mindful.

This is a refreshing mango with hints of mint and salt. It smells fresh and smells slightly of a tropical scented laundry detergent? But in a good way! It doesn’t smell really sweet or cloying. It reminds me of a salted mango margarita. This is going to be my new go to summer scent!

wish fragrantica included the mint note in this! fresh, firm, barely ripe mango cubes by the poolside, sunbathing, mojito in hand. cant wait to wear in summer. immediately cools u down. one of hilde's more complex scents. worth getting a full bottle.

Mango Mojito!!! Doesn't last veryyyy long (less than or about 4 hrs) but it's delicious...transports me to some sort of vacation world.. i don't know where i'd wear this but maybe a party or something

Oh I love this one. I'm not a fruity perfume girl usually but this one is addictive. It's fresh and juicy and zingy. Smells exactly like a cocktail I want to be sipping by the beach.
