Mango On The Rocks

The scent of the powerful water interacting with minty neutralizing shampoo, hair dryers that are on with ladies sitting underneath, and someone having their hair brushed and power blow-dried. A hair salon is oddly what I get in the opening. Maybe the kind of mint in Mango on the rocks is associated with these scent memories for me. It smells clean in that sense. Based on the notes, it’s more of a chilled hard-fleshed coconut, lots of crushed mint leaves, and green mango in the opening. I can see how the mint might be off-putting and harsh to some but it’s more like a minty shampoo or handful of mint leaves to me than toothpaste which I wouldn’t like. After it settles in some minutes, a more creamy mango-coconut appears that is subtle in its sweetness. It starts to smell more like a mojito, a fave. I like this? but it isn’t the sweet fruity, juicy fragrance you’re thinking of like the accords wrongly imply. It’s not a safe buy. There’s no other fragrance I can think of that smells like or similar to this. It’s unique, cooling, and luckily no where close to the “reminds of” section. Best as a refreshing scent for hotter seasons but can be a clean one for other seasons. It’s nice to know Hilde Soliani’s favorite fruit is also mango, probably why I love her interpretation. Not keen on the bottle’s look but it has a fine-mister that sprays out a good amount even though it doesn’t last too long on skin, so just be mindful.

This is a refreshing mango with hints of mint and salt. It smells fresh and smells slightly of a tropical scented laundry detergent? But in a good way! It doesn’t smell really sweet or cloying. It reminds me of a salted mango margarita. This is going to be my new go to summer scent!

wish fragrantica included the mint note in this! fresh, firm, barely ripe mango cubes by the poolside, sunbathing, mojito in hand. cant wait to wear in summer. immediately cools u down. one of hilde's more complex scents. worth getting a full bottle.

Mango Mojito!!! Doesn't last veryyyy long (less than or about 4 hrs) but it's delicious...transports me to some sort of vacation world.. i don't know where i'd wear this but maybe a party or something

Oh I love this one. I'm not a fruity perfume girl usually but this one is addictive. It's fresh and juicy and zingy. Smells exactly like a cocktail I want to be sipping by the beach.

Delicious sweet mango over a very cool base, coconut evident in the drydown. A touch of mint at first then all icy aquatic.

Hilde Soliani Mango on the Rocks is another cocktail-inspired fragrance featuring listed notes (per Luckyscent) of mango and mint, fittingly fresh, fruity, and a little sharp, albeit not quite as boozy as Drink Cocco, which I tried out yesterday. I think it’s perfectly agreeable while not standing out a ton, a nicely done, easygoing summer option that’s a nice nod for mango lovers while but being over-the-top fruity, and performs decently well. What’s not to like? Mango on the Rocks is priced at $180 for 100ml in EDP concentration, roughly the standard pricing for the brand currently, and is sold via Luckyscent. 7 of 10

Smells exactly like the skin of an overripe mango—like when you can smell the juicy pulp through the bitter and fragrant skin. This is exactly what I wanted from Vilhelm's Mango skin. It's fresh and icy with the addition of mint. Addicting and a little bit heady at the same time, there's also some kind of note that gives it a sort of latex smell. I'm really, really curious to know how this will settle on my skin.

Smells exactly like a Mango Mojito to me. The slightly sweet, fruity mango plays in the foreground of a icy, minty, cool freshness at the base! I don't really pick up on coconut much. I cannot wait to try this perfume again on a hot summer day.

Juicy mango, but it also has a cooling effect, maybe from menthol? It's interesting and definitely gives "ice". That fades in the dry down, and turns into a pleasant tropical fruit. I'm a fan.

I like this. Happy-go-lucky, tropical and casual.

So on Luckyscent the ingredients are slightly different: Mango on the Rocks Fragrance Notes Mint, mango ...which I'm going with Luckscent because I can smell mint in this fragrance. I agree with Commonscents99 with it smelling fresh and slightly like a laundry detergent...it smells like a tropical cleaner. To me this is a unisex scent that is very warm weather/ day time vibes. It's okay. I'm not really digging it, but it's interesting. Like I would clean my floors with this scent, or wipe down my countertops with it. That's the vibe I'm getting. It smells good, but just not something I would want to wear or would be attracted to someone wearing it.

This is not sweet at all in my opinion. It's fresh, green, aquatic and sharp. It's quite masculine. Considering the name, I can see how it reminisces a cocktail. I had really different expectations for this one though because I saw the remind of section and Fame and Mangonificent were there. Mango on the Rocks is nothing like the two I mentioned. No sweetness nor juiciness. It's a whatever for me.

Mango on the rocks insults my nose with SO much mint, which I rarely appreciate. If there's any mango, it's not the ripe, juicy mexican one that I always crave and think of. More of an air freshener than a perfume, as I see it. So far, I'd say that Hilde excels with her bizarre, salty perfumes, while the fruity ones are off-center for me.

Honestly, this smells so synthetic and cheap. I can’t believe the price tag on this. Very juvenile. Ok... I’ve come back an hour later. I tried washing it off THREE times... And also put on some Jurlique hand moisturiser. All I can smell is this cheap mango smell. This is tenacious as hell. Consider yourself warned!

I wanted badly to like this perfume. I’ve been sampling numerous mango frags and have yet to find one that is not insanely expensive & also doesn't smell like rotting fruit. This is a hard pass.

Weird minty mango. Not for me.

Such a sucker for a mango note. Cruz Del Sur II is one of my top ten, God of Fire, even Mango Skin (which I don’t like but I appreciate the artistry and love most Vilhelm juices). This one is very summertime in a bottle. Is it full bottle worthy-maybe. I’d say for me it will be added to my ten bottle wish list for 2026. Vastly filling and only a few days in. “My name is Robin; and I have a problem (that only perfumes will fix and possibly cure lol)”!

I wish I knew what cleaning products y'all were using because I'd love it if my house and clothes smelled like this ..I get no artificial clean notes at all..I have a full bottle and it's absolutely lovely..I haven't smelt fame but I can tell you this doesn't smell similar to the others listed as well..on me this smells like virgin island water with a hefty dose of mango added

A perfect summer time scent. Smells like a fizzy, gin tonic with a mango twist. Strong like. Glad I tried this-my first fragrance from the brand.

Like a mango mojito. Way too much mint for me, but a refreshing summer scent that may be enjoyed by some!
