Hilde Soliani Una Tira L'Altra is centered around a singular cherry note, capturing both the sweet and tart aspects of the fruit and landing the saturation somewhere between a fresh cherry and cherry wine, the result being a realistic cherry but slightly denser than the experience of real fruit. It has the brightness of a light cherry but twinges of darkness of a black cherry, as well. It definitely feels like an ensemble of the various elements that I regard as part of the cherry, the wine being perhaps the most interesting twist. This is surely my favorite fruity entry from Hilde Soliani to date, and its simplicity is matched by its elegance. Performance is very good, consistent with the better entries of the line. The pricing is, like the rest of the line, $160 for 100ml, and it is available at Luckyscent exclusively in the US, to my knowledge. 8 out of 10

OMG! So delish! Even for a male!!!! How do I explain this one? Well, to start - tart and sweet - definitively cherry like - Somewhat synthetic and candy like. Don’t let this put you off trying though - It has that Cherry hard bon bon sort of vibe. Just enough sandalwood and and a teeny bit of - patchouli maybe?- bodied out with a subtle tonka - to make it a bright and cheery scent with out being crass and candy like. I can’t say I prefer it over Qom Chilom but I have been using it ALOT - I prefer it over TF Lost Cherry which is more boozy, dark and syrupy. This is also more potent than TF LC. Very very cheer me up kinda scent.

This is my top pick for the best straight up linear cherry scent. It reminds me of sour cherry candies, cherry Laffy Taffy or cherry Hi-Chew. The initial blast, I get a very red juicy cherry & then I can a smell a trail of powdery almondyness. It morphs into a sweet & sour cherry & stays that way throughout. It has a beautiful sillage & arms length projection and great longevity! I love wearing this on its own but the magic happens when you layer this beauty with Lost Cherry, Tihota, Dancing Roses, Love dont be shy, French Kiss, Bodacious or Louve. My gosh this is amazing! I emailed Hilde to never ever stop making this!

This is my absolute favourite from Hilde’s entire range and began my hunger for cherry scents. It’s delicious dark cherry’s on a base of creamy marzipan. It’s just a shame this doesn’t last for more than 2 hours. Update: I’ve sprayed this again and I can’t ignore now perfectly beautiful the fragrance is. I just adore it. It’s a top favourite and might even become my signature. The best cherry fragrance ever created (and I’ve been on an intense search recently) nothing tops this beauty.

Best Cherry fragrance I have gotten my nose on. Not medicinal, but definitely syrupy, like a bowl of those fruit cocktail cherries that come in a can. Juicy and mouthwatering. Decent sillage and longevity, never cloying or overpowering. About a 4-5 hour wear before you need to refresh. I would give it a 10/10 but for the strength and longevity, so I give it a 9. I don't need to search for another cherry scent in my collection, this is it!

Love this one. If you have a craving for cherry notes this is the one. When you first spray it smells like the cooking of cherry jam, and there is a hint of bitter almond. It's all about the cherry, but as someone else wrote, it's all about the differents aspect of cherry, like the almond-like scent, so it does develop by time. The cherry note last longer then Lost Cherry.

This could be THE cherry fragrance I've been looking for. Its absolutely divine straight up maraschino cherry on a bed of almond and what smells notably like tonka. Its beyond delicious. Unfortunately, the longevity is also beyond woeful. Like 2hrs woeful. However, its so divinely edible, it joined my ranks anyway.

This is absolutely delicious. A potent burst of tart cherries that stays for hours and hours. It reminds me of the opening of Tom Ford's Lost Cherry except it stays like that and doesn't dry down to a vanilla. My husband could smell me from across the room. Very impressed with this one.

Sort of a powdery sour cherry. Smells like a cherry Zotz. I don't really get the spicy note other people noticed. I wouldn't call it an elevated scent or anything, but I find it really pleasant and fun! I think it'll be a great layering fragrance!

A solifruit fragrance of straight-forward, realistic tart cherry. Lovely on its own or could be layered. No one does gourmand like Hilde Soliani, this is beautiful.

It’s certainly very cherry! It’s sweet, light, fruity and beautiful. HS are always true to their descriptions, but I’m learning that their performance isn’t great.

Such a strong sweet candy cherry during the opening, as it sits it becomes a little more spicy but for the most part maintains that sweet punchy cherry.

This smells like red hots candy meets maraschino cherries. Even more cinnamon on skin. It’s just great. Sits close, doesn’t last long.

To sum up Una Tira L'Altra, it's amarena cherry in a bottle! The opening blast is powerful and intense, with the dark cherry juice and syrup splashing all over. However, just short of stepping into cherry cough syrup territory, Una Tira L'Altra soon pulls itself together and reveals a mouthwatering tartness among its boozy, succlent fruity sweetness, strongly evoking amarena cherry to me. The fragrance largely remains unchanged throughout its 10-hour longevity. It just becomes ever slightly more creamy about 4 hours in, hinting at subtle nuances of vanilla and almond but never fully showcase them. The sillage is heavy during its first hour, and remains moderate later on. Because of its hefty opening of gourmand, syrupy cherry, and its relatively simplistic approach, Una Tira L'Altra might have a fairly narrow audience. But as an amarena cherry solinote fragrance, I honestly think this is one of the most fantastic ones in the current market, if not the most. If you're looking to indulge your nose with a spoonful of amarena cherry, I'd highly recommend giving Una Tira L'Altra a try.

CHERRY CHERRY CHERRY and when you are done with that put more CHERRY on it. Una Tira Altra smells like sucking on Ludens Cherry lozenges tastes. Not one lozenge but a good mouthful of them -- like 7 at the same time. It opens fizzy sharp sticky sweet cherry syrup. It takes about 30 minutes or so for it to calm down a bit. About an hour into wearing it begins to play nice. There is no other note in this perfume other than Cherry. It is like you are making cherry lollies or candies and you added way to much cherry flavoring? This is Una Tira Altra. It is OK on its own, but much better layered with another perfume. The more I wore it the more it grew on me. I like this scent, I really do....but it lacks some kind of balance to soften the strong cherry note and keep it from being too much-- something like almond or vanilla.

This starts as a sweet and juicy cherry that doesn’t become candy. Instead it’s a fresh cherry scent that is really lovely. It smells like what you would think a cherry perfume should smell like. An hour later it becomes a sort of spicy almost cinnamony cherry. I haven’t smelled anything like it before but I love it. Finally it becomes a dark and sweet floral cherry. This is incredible. It actually reminds me a bit of Tresor la nuit intense that mixes cherry with a damask rose. This perfume is like all the greatest cherry hits. I have been searching for my cherry holy grail and this might be it. I wish it lasted longer and was a bit stronger, but I have not found anything else like it. To me none of the other cherry fragrances compare to this beauty that gives me exactly what I what out of a cherry.

I agree with butterbean that Una Tira I Altra is ALL about cherry, so if you are needing a cherry fix, this is for you. Generally I prefer scents that have a story to them but now and then it is rather refreshing to get straight to the point, especially when the point is as delicious as the images of dark cherries that litter my mind when wearing this. Where BB gets cherry candies, I get tart cherries which I prefer anyway. It does start a little sweet when first applied but dries down to a smell that I relate with the fresh fruit. Most important of all, it smells completely natural to me. Overall a delightful scent that keeps me happy. Projection is moderate and longevity is very good, my clothes still smell strongly the next day.

opening: crisp, juicy, mouthwatering cherry, a lot of cherry dry down: a hint of sweet marzipan (almond) and tangy tonka, building a subtle powdery base for the - now gentler - cherry the fragrance notes only mention cherry, in the main accords however tonka and almond are listed longevity on my skin is very short, even after applying on moisturizer - maybe I should try it on my clothes like @kxnaiades does. comes close to Mancera, Wild Cherry

It's a maraschino cherry. Sweet and tart, really leans on the natural side surprisingly. I think it's perfectly alright for what it is, but I desire from perfumes complexity and depth. I think that can be found here, but probably only from a cherry aficionado. While I do love a good cherry, I see this preforming better as a layering fragrance. 6.5/10
