Vagabondo

I enjoy this fragrance so much, it lasts for hours on my skin. It smells to me like the inside of a wooden box that has been used to store resins and frankincense and dried fruit.

The opening is exactly what is listed in the notes, woods, green buds, roses and fig. However, like many in this line, you have to wait for it to settle down, 5 to 10 minutes, and the true character of the scent comes out. Then it becomes a soft, gentle woody scent, not at all fruity but a touch powdery, a little sweet, elegant and classy but content to stand in the background. It's a little too woody for me, a 40 something woman, to wear. On the right man, one not too loud, not concerned with being the center of attention, masculine but with a soft side...this could be the perfect cuddle scent. Also like the others in this line, the sillage is very close to the skin but the longevity is moderate.

Do you remember the character of the Wanderer from Tolkien's Lord of the rings? Well, Vagabondo (Wanderer) is,-like Aragorn-, a soft-hearted but restless son of the forest. I would call this perfume a warm oriental woody fragrance with a spicy twist. A sensual, tender and honest knight, yet adventurous and free.Only this tenderness lends feminin trait to the scent, otherwise this creation's nature more masculine. Woody and mossy notes miscible with pale rose aroma, they are warms up by spices like cardamom, pepper and pinch of ginger. They are perfectly complement each other.The smokey drydown is the impression of He's silhouette disappears mysteriously to the billowing mist. Vagabondo is a mysterious men with desire for freedom and adventurousness but with overfulled honest heart with deep emotions.

This fragrance instantly transports me to the Catholic church I went to as a kid. It was built in Southern California when the area was still rural, and beyond the incense and resin smells was a distinct smell of the native woods that were used to build it. I agree with the reviewer who mentions that this smells like a wonderful old wooden box filled with resins, because while the resin-y incense-y smells are beautiful, they are definitely secondary to the really beautiful light wood scent. There is a lot more going on with this scent than what the stated notes include.

Gorgeous masculine fragrance that smells fantastic on my husband. Very earthy and reminds me of midnight mass on Christmas. Really nice and very natural.

i sensed the figs, the flowery essence , and maybe nuts. unfortunately i didn't like it
