What does this smell like... instantly it is bright and clean, with a warm solar aura, but it is distinctly masculine without having to rely on heavy, romance-novel bravado to get its point across. To me it smells like the freshly Lysol-ed stone countertop of a well-lit kitchen in some beautiful beach town summer cottage. It's a cool, salty breeze coming to lick the back of your neck, a beach-read fantasy of seductively unbuttoned white linen shirts and sun-warmed skin. This fragrance smells like what you want Fabio to smell like: expensive, subdued, clean, sophisticated. The wear is fascinating for me. I feel it is important to note I'm using a dauber sample before I begin to attempt to describe it. If I raise my wrist, for example, to my nose and smell it I can hardly notice it. This fragrance, directly sitting upon the skin, has the intensity of newly-purchased clothes. When I don't strain myself to catch it I find it coming to me deliciously in wafts, upon a gesture, following myself by a couple minutes. It is keeping company around me, an unseen lover, rather than on me. Flirtatious but distant. It's rapturous. I am obsessed with the personality of this fragrance, but I feel almost childish in comparison—it's taking me out to dinner at a restaurant it knows I could never, ever afford.

Niche version of versace dylan blue... smells "Exactly" like something Alberto Morillas would create. Which is a good thing because he's the best perfumer out there. Ambroxan bomb, but smells very masculine and sexy. First thing my sister said when she smelled this was "smells expensive". And the first thing I thought when I smelled it was a more niche dylan blue, more smoother around the edges and sweeter though. Alberto morillas style fragrance just done more sweeter than Alberto does it Edit - now this smells like pineapple opening with vanilla, similar family as nishane hacivat and electimuss imperium Update - I think i've become too sensitive to the honey in this, so I prefer small wiffs of this in the air smells so good in the air and this is definitely a fragrance to spray lightly smells better the less you apply New Update - discovered that I was still wearing this fragrance incorrectly, 1 or 2 sprays max with this stuff and keep it away from your own nose. This is a silage fragrance it's made to grab attention in the air when people smell it but not something you want to smell on yourself for very long. Really lovely if you smell it on other people when walking past them

(A+) Scent (Subjective): This is unique, can’t easily compare this to other perfumes. It is pleasantly sharp and just a bit bitter. It is bright, vaguely citrus with a very clean musky vibe. I get a synthetic whif sometimes when I wear it but not in a bad way, I kind of like it actually. It’s somewhat sexual for some reason, the musk maybe. (A) Season: Warm spring days. It’s fresh but the musk might be too much on a hot day. Drydown: Not complex. It just ‘milds’ down nicely from a fairly bright opening. Value: Moderately priced niche. I paid $125 for the small bottle. Gender: Unisex leans slightly masculine. Universality: May not be for everyone. I happen to like it a lot. Learning Curve: I liked it the first time I tried it. My nose is fickle with it. Some days I’m more drawn to than others. Needs to be worn in just the right weather, I go with my gut. Emotional Response: I really enjoy this. My wife really likes it on me. She raves about it in fact.

This is interesting perfumery. It opens with a ton of aldehydes and sweet honey. The honey dies off in about 15 minutes and ozone presents itself. Ozone along with the aldehydes give it the headspace of the inside of a factory/ manufacturing facility. You can smell the wide open air, plastics, and metal robotics whirring away. When you hit the base you get musk and amber. This combination smells faintly camphoric. After that a clean smelling amber presents itself. This is artistic perfumery but not blind buy safe to the average Joe/Jane. I love aldehydes and headspace fragrances and I also really love this one. Abstract Art. Scent 9/10 Performance 8.5/10

Very happy with how many compliments this fragrance gets me once I started wearing it properly. 1 spray each wrist and then 1 spray on each side of the neck and trust me that's enough, this is beast mode super strong stuff that projects like crazy. When someone hug you or your arm move past them they get wafts from your wrist or neck and that's how this fragrance works best. If you soak yourself in this stuff it will just be too strong and nobody will like it. And i'm a notorious over sprayer with other fragrances, but this is the only fragrance apart from megamare that i'm genuinely scared to overspray because of how strong it is

Well now i feel stupid. Note to self: do not review based on first spray/first 10 minutes. Ok, so I was wrong. This is unisex. And I must admit, my first sniff was "wow, what a disappointment." Well, I was wrong. This is thoroughly enjoyable. What's really weird is - I received this, along with a bottle of Versace Dylan Pour Homme, and I see some similarities. Maybe it's the citrus top and aldehyic (sp?) notes mixing together - regardless - I hope Mr/Ms Non Blue Bottle will forgive me for jumping to conclusions. 6/10

I really enjoy this scent. I find it funny because the name kind of implies that it's not "blue", blue being "mass appealing and versatile", but I find it to be both. But even though I believe it to be versatile and inoffensive, I do find it to be unique. It has this bitterness to the scent, and like a chemicalness to the scent, that makes it stand out but I still thoroughly enjoy it. And the longevity and sillage is insane. I definitely think everyone should give this a try.

This is fantastic! Despite the name, this is definitely a blue fragrance. It feels like the perfumer took everything that's great about Dior Sauvage and amplified it 100×. To my nose, it's smoother, sexier, more refined, and far more interesting. I keep picking up what smells like sage, even though it's not listed in the notes. Whatever it is, it gives the fragrance a beautiful aromatic character. One of the best blue fragrances I've ever smelled. Highly recommended.

A brilliant fragrance in its "apparent" simplicity! Urban and powerful, with the strong metal aldehyde note with a beautiful feeling of freshness with orange in the background and honey! At first it may seem generic, but do not be fooled, because over time it develops by changing. The opening is like a nice cold breeze. It is an unusual summer scent. After 2 hours it became a skin scent barely detectable. I sprayed 4 big sprays on my wrist. Not worth the price with the weak performance imo. Edit: After a full wear, I can confirm this is a strong performer. Longevity 8-10 hours with decent presence through out the whole time. I highly recommend those who want a rather unusual summer soapy fragrance.

This parfume feels as interpretation of chat GPT to popular and mass appealing men's fragrances. So pleasant yet synthetic, citrusy but soft and sweet. Longlasting and marveless. Sillage is huge and diffusive. Composition is great but is it unique? For my perspective, no. This DNA is feel familiar, maybe a little bit avant-garde. Great for summer, spring and autumn. Occasion whatever you want, very universal scent.

Opening was a familiar scent that came off a little sweet but gourmandy, and remained an interesting fresh take on something. Only in reading other's thoughts I agree that it's a bit chamomile like, with a summer freshness and bit of honey and orange. Looking at the notes it's a freshly bent amber. It different and has character and don't sense any strange synthetic cleaner vibes others suggest.

Gosh I really like this! I tested this in Palm Springs on a hot day and it was perfect for the warm weather, so I purchased a bottle. I'm wearing it on a cold day here in Portland and it works just as well in this weather. It's a very interesting scent, one I definitely do not have anything similar to. To me, this is a very unique and niche scent. Glad it's in my collection!

I gave this a mid review 9 months ago but I'm back to say this ended up being one of my fav perfumes i sampled last year. its light! its enigmatic! its not like anything i've smelled before! i think of this largely this of this as my "chamomile" perfume bc thats what I get as a top note

Aldehydes.Musky honey. Dirty fresh. Sexual. Erotic even? Definitely a masculine-leaning scent. This is one of the few "niche" scents that I, as a young collegiate, feel comfortable wearing on the daily. Very long lasting, I can smell it on my clothes for days.

This is just so much SEX in this fragrance for me, that my hormones just scream: " F**k me!". Increadible, how much power it has! It starts with musk-clementine jummy citrus and changes with cedar-honey base. Incredible longevity for a hesperide, 8h+.

This is not a womens fragrance, this is as masculine as a fragrance can get I don't think you could make something even more masculine even if you threw together every masculine note in existence from gun powder, leather, smoke, rum, woods, etc..

Funny enough, all I smell as a top note is chamomile. Fresh, hay-like, and sweet, though this dissipates quickly and I'm left with a generic sweet musk. Overall mediocre.

Aldehydic orange peel crystallized in spicy honey. Dries down to a grassy musk. Beautiful in warmer weather, quite the sillage for this scent profile.

What in the world... God, those aldehydes! Used like a club and one way or another to great effect. First sniff drew an unwitting gasp from me, because it told a lie to my nose about the size of the room I was in. No kidding, I was not aware that my nose even had a part in these decisions, but I guess I've been corrected. I'd describe the top as the smell of a space the size of a convention hall and lightly toasted marshmallows. And it's not as though that was an end to the weirdness. Following that, the marshmallows come apart into more distinctly geranium and honey with some musk becoming apparent, at least the scent on the skin. Simultaneously, sillage scent is unscented rubbing alcohol. In great waves. I had to look around to see if I left a bottle of it out. Increasing skin temp allows a little amber to come into the mix, so I expect it'll present quite a bit differently in warm weather. It also, of course, boosted the aldehydes, which are there for the duration, about 4 hours of the above, where for the last hour, the rubbing alcohol smell mercifully dissipates, though nothing else is uncovered. This fragrance is a manifesto, like Secretions Magnifique is for ELDO (albeit less unpleasant), a show of proof of the vast power of olfactory sense and statement of purpose that Histoires will pursue all avenues in service of bringing about any of their visions. At least that's how I'd spin it. I cannot fathom another reason for creating something so strange, a carnival ride of a fragrance. Like the rotor (sadly, a dying breed) I would only recommend it to those adventurous souls with some bandwidth for unpleasantness with their thrills. I need to spend more time with it, but a FB may be in my future simply because if I tell anyone else about this experience, I'm gonna feel like I have to prove it.

I bought a discovery set for this house which is, I believe, 13 samples for twenty dollars. For what I've gotten already, I'm satisfied with my purchase. So far, I have tested all the masculine fragrances and one strictly feminine fragrance (1804). While that feminine frag was quite unisex to me (bordering on feminine), I figured the unisex frags would be the home runs that the masculine line is. For my first foray into them, This is Not a Blue Bottle, I have mixed feelings. Upon first spray, it is HEAVVVVY musk. I haven't tried or owned too many musk dominant fragrances. The only fragrance I have that is heavily musky is English Laundry's Cambridge Knight. With that said, the Knight's musky top note masks everything else but only lasts for I'd say 5 minutes. That five minutes is sharp, offensive and mildly acidic smelling. Like someone just puked. However, becomes one of the most sublime frags I own. Well, This is Not a Blue Bottle mixes that with some citrus, powder and ambery tones. For the first 2-4 hours, though, be prepared for your senses to be rocked by musk if you are not familiar or a fan. After that, the musk mixes nicely with the rest of the composition. It's powdery, sweet, aromatic. It really comes into it's own and is a scent I'd wear regularly. Unfortunately, the top of this one is crazy strong and off putting for several hours. Again though, it is subjective. If you like musk, this is a good bet. However, if you like musk as a part of a greater composition, maybe you should pass. The longevity and sillage are excellent. No qualms with that. It's a quality fragrance. It's just not something I am particularly into.

I need to wear this for a few more days because on first day, I CANNOT decide if I like it or not. I thought I'd outright hate it due to...well, every ingredient. Not an orange scent fan, amber and musk both usually stink on me, etc. Also, I have hated every sample bottle I've tried from this line (admittedly only two before this one), and I was really disappointed because those were two I REALLY thought I'd like. On my first spray, I thought, "Gee, this smells like Obsession from Calvin Klein". Spicy, earthy, etc right away. Then I caught a sharp but sweet orange. Then I smelled earth and soap (guessing that was the patchouli). Then there was powder. And musk. Then a sharper version of Pillowtalk Poet from Pinrose. As the day has gone on, the chameleon properties of TiNaBB continue, and while it is impressively soft but noticeable at the same time, I'd kind of like a little more...definition. Maybe the charm IS the versatility of the scent, and I dig that, but I am especially sensitive to tying scents to memories. It may sound weird, but I feel like if I wore this regularly, I'd never be able to connect it with specific memories because it changes from minute to minute.

TINABB 1.1 smells like a woodsy orange creamsicle or lemonade float. I would advise anyone sampling this to let it dry down before analyzing it, as I did not smell anything when I first applied it. After several minutes, I started getting beautiful wafts of the orange and the honey. The aldehydes in this are of the lemony variety, and really play up the citrus notes. I’d say the patchouli is the only thing keeping this “unisex” because the amber and vanilla give this an unmistakably sweet quality I cannot imagine translating well on men. However, to each their own. I am squarely a Spring fragrance kind of chick, so I was surprised I enjoyed this. The woodsy notes in this fragrance remind me of Fall, although those who smell more of the citrus will probably say it’s for Summer. I could see this wearing really well when warmed up under a sweater or scarf. This is also one for the sillage/longevity hounds. I sprayed exactly two pumps and the smell has lasted quite a while.

The opening is about ozone/honey/dirty musk with a hint of orange. Interesting and promising start. The musk seems very animalistic (leaning on the horse stable side) in the opening, but becomes clean quite quickly, leading to a sweet old-school musk+orange drydown, nearly reminding me of pineapple. Projection on my skin is average. Overall a good feminine-leaning fragrance for spring days, but not overly unique. Like an ok movie with a good cast but not-so-original story, and an average director: will help you spend a good couple of hours, but one week later you probably won't remind the title. Spring, 25+

imagine its an early morning, you stand somewhere in the forest near the foot of the mountain, everything is green and the sun hits , its clearly a spring but behind you see a mirror and appears that you a robot and machine oil is leaking from you. I try to say that this smell kinda has a natural vibe but also kinda synthetic. The smell of freshness. I love it. long lasting, not annoying . would wear it in the spring or even sunny. but i dont like honey in here

I can assure you in the Middle East this one is fairly known as a good smelling scent Trying it myself I can agree with others it’s special or unique is the more fitting word Citrus and aldahydes somewhat musky It’s a good fragrance but nothing groundbreaking Longevity is above average and projection is good It’s a scent that all you need of is 10mls because In my opinion there is no way this can be a signature scent it’s for rare occasions

I get aldehydes more than oranges in the opening and after 1-2 mins, it starts to show its heart and base notes which are unique combination of patchouli, amber, musk(not animalic or old school musk, this is a balanced musk) and honey like sweetness. Quite unique combination with the notes, I didn't smell like this before. Drydown is Musky patchouli. Longevity is moderate and silage is really good first 2 hours.

Fresh chamomile from the beginning to the end. Interesting this note is not even listed. I know this smell very well, fresh chamomile has a very strong smell, especially when you crush it in your hand. When we were children grandmother asked us to pick the chamomile flowers for tea. Very fresh and very strong sent, very linear too.

this goes on like a soft oud scent with a tiny hint of citrus; as it dries down the musk, amber and patchouli rise. I would not call this an aldehyde nor honeyed. It is beautiful and rounded and soft as most HdP are but not a stunning wow for me that I want to run out for a full bottle. I am happy to have sampled.

These are very sharp and sour citruses with lots of dry hay (or maybe tobacco in it) and some fresh herbs and spices. It’s quite unusual and unique, but definitely not for everyone. I reminds me a bit of Baie 19 Le Labo, but more fresh and interesting. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

There's this thing in this perfume that smells like generic men's cologne to me. I can't really put my finger on what it is but I smelled it in other men's perfumes too. I smell nearly no musk, just fresh spicy men's cologne. Quite sad.

Smells like a pilled banana soaked in honey—sticky, warm, and sweet . No clean aldehydes, just this weird latex vibe underneath. It doesn’t smell fresh; it smells like sex. Do I hate it? No. Do I love it? Maybe.

I like this fragrance very much. The opening aldehydes are pungent, and on my skin the dry down really seduces with the musk and amber. Decent longevity. Just the right silage. A perfect daytime scent.

A bit similar to 1.5, but with a spicy vetiver feel to it in place of the mineralic satin. sweet honey, clean aldehydes, musky, and ozone gives the feel of wide open air. 7.5/10

I get a burst of the sweetest honey, honey, honey for the first few minutes, then the whole thing drifts off into pretty much nothing.

This ought to be called Baccarat Bleu. How do I not see any comparisons to BR540? Powerful, diffusive, amber with some traditionally sweet notes coming across as “synthetic” or “antiseptic?” Maybe it’s not ambroxan, but it gives the same vibe (please don’t abuse this!) Strangely, I hate ambroxan and I hate vanilla, but I don’t hate this (yet). First, forget the orange. There’s orange in the opening, I guess. But if you’re looking for citrus, that’s a different blue bottle. I suppose aldehydes can give a citrus-like character to anything for some people, though. This is a vanilla-honey amber cooled down by aldehydes and unsweetened by patchouli. The musk is a little skanky, or maybe that’s the patchouli and rubbery vanilla, but it still comes across clean because of the aldehydes. Overall, if you suffer from baccarat abuse syndrome, narcissism, or some other psychopathy, please stay away from this. It’s very diffusive and has the potential to be loud and sloppy with its sillage. It should not be abused or worn at work or restaurants. It may be a good cool weather choice for those who prefer fresh aldehydics and normally wouldn’t go for vanilla or honey. If you hate ambroxan, the amber in it may annoy you. 2 hours later: OMG I hate it. Headache inducing amber bomb. Less popular but equally annoying sibling to BR450.

Coming back to my manufacturer's sample after some years, this scent is different than I remember. Upon my first tests of my spanking new sample, I detected the metal and orange notes that put others off. Now, the notes seem to have blended together to become an herbal fragrance. I do not detect chamomile however. I saw this fragrance recommended on a thread as a chamomile scent and then I saw the review here describing it as a chamomile scent. I was so hopeful, but that's not how this sample has developed over time. I've only encountered absinthe in perfumery, but I perceive an absinthe note in This Is Not A Blue Bottle. I'm sure the perfumers weren't trying to invoke the green fairy for their blue fragrance, but that's what I get. When I first sprayed this on, I recalled sniffing the atomizer of a vial filled with Ralph Lauren Polo. I can't say for certain that these two scents are alike, but I will assert that this perfume reads masculine until the soft sweetness of the amber drydown.

This actually reminds me a lot of Parfums de Marly Layton. This is like a Layton "Cologne." Much fresher and lighter. I can tell it has geranium, it is almost minty fresh to my nose. I can also clearly smell the orange. The aldehydes elevate the fragrance to be more airy, powdery, and slightly metallic. The honey adds sweetness, but it is not a heavy sweetness. The musk blends very well with the rest of the notes. It is cold, sweet, ozonic, powdery, and soft. In my opinion, this is the polar opposite of harsh and daring. The scent is like an extension of wearing clean clothes, it is subtle and smells clean, soft, and fresh. Very office-friendly. Unfortunately for me it smells quite synthetic. For somebody who knows perfumery this might be an innovative and exciting scent, but for the average Joe it just smells clean and somewhat generic. Not something I would buy, but glad that I sampled it. 5,5/10.

Smelled great in the store. Horrible upon a full application. Excellent once it finally settled down. I've been on a roller coaster with this one. For me, the dislikes are all about the strong and spicy cologne I reeked of when I first spritzed this on. It was nauseating. I knew I had made a mistake and was thinking about the men in my life I could give the rest of my sample to. Several hours later? I'm in love again. It's so cute and fresh. It's almost like a cleaning chemical made with orange essential oil that I keep getting little hints of on my clothes and my neck. Full bottle? Not for me. Don't knock it til you try it though.

This is a very interesting and dynamic fragrance. When it first goes on, it can be a bit synthetic and abrasive. Almost like a solvent-y smell. As it dries down, the base notes come forward and it becomes more ozonic and natural. Very cool process, although I'm not a particularly big fan of the actual fragrance. I am surprised to see people say it leans masculine, as it was pretty neutral for me. Definitely Glad I got this decant, although I don't think I'd buy a full bottle.

Not my favourite; I'm not a fan of geranium, I purchased this as part of the discovery set. On paper - Bright, lightly spiced and sweetened geranium. Not bad, but not a geranium fan. On skin - Both the honey and geranium get stronger on my skin, as does something kind of resinous and ambery in the base. This is a very pleasant perfume. I dont think ive had the pleasure of the aldehydes scent before. The top notes are super light and smells like a blue sky. And the base notes are orange and honey. Nothing strong nothing powerful, oh so light and lovely. Id definetly wear this as an office scent, its so charming and unique.

It smells like my dad‘s cheaper cologne from back in the day. It walks me down memory Lane. It is still a sent that is a bit feminine but it definitely is more on the masculine side. I don’t dislike the scent. I find it comforting. I’ll wear it but I have to be in a very specific mood to wear it.

Quite original, green but dried, dried herbs in a deep version. Worth testing on skin. It reminds me of an attic in the countryside, some who-knows-why dried greenery. That’s exactly the realm of French Lover, only a bit better, with less incense and more green.

For me, it's too masculine. I love This is not a blue bottle 1.2 and was very curious about this one. I gave it to my husband, because I like the smell of it, but not on myself. It's quite long lasting so you smell it on yourself the whole day.
