Tubereuse 2 Virginale

I was in a hurry this winter morning, and it was too early and too cold, but I had a strong urge to test one of my samples and so I blindly grabbed the first one that fell into my hand. I couldn't even read the small letters on the vial in that dark room, so I gave up and decided to give it a "blind test" moment. I was curious to see if - after being interested in fragrances for quite a while - I can blindly recognize any notes at all. And then I got a blast of patchouli and thought that it was somehow rather classy if quite modern scent and I knew that there were strong flowers, but that's about it. At that point I gave up and checked what it was that I was testing. :-D So - for me personally the patchouli was strong at the beginning, along with the tuberose (as I have later learned) and the fantastic cherry! I love cherries in any form, especially sour, black, Morrelo cherries and I dare to say that I sense a bit of darkness in those cherries here :-). I must say I enjoy this fragrance tremendously, I find it alluring somehow from the first breath and as "pansylady" says: almost mesmerizing. It made me feel somehow strangely happy and confident. We have a difficult relationship with white flowers and I rarely like fragrances that contain them, but of all of those, I personally find tuberose the most attractive/fitting/intriguing white flower for me. I would think that calling a tuberose "virginale" must be rather far fetched, as this tends to be a very powerful flower if anything, but here they were right: later on when wearing this an 8 years old girl told me that it smells "like Freya". And when asked who she is, I was told that Freya is a little baby girl. So here goes. It would seem that this fragrance is full of a sweet, gentle, baby tuberose. :-) Wonderful.

I wore this all last summer so Virginale reminds me of happy, sunny days. A delightful fruity floral that feels uncomplicated and weightless. The tuberose keeps a sophistication in the fragrance without being severe. The florals leans a little greener than Dyptique's Do Son but shares the same airy, feminine vibe with the fruity addition of cherry. The fruitiness of the cherry is amplified by the tangerine note rather than sitting next to it. "Virginale" captures a feeling for me of being carefree, that kind of "innocence". It has such a positive impact on my mood when I wear this and is a beautiful, delicate scent with great lasting power. I discovered this a while back when I was searching for dupes for TF's Lost Cherry (It's nothing like Lost Cherry, which I associate with a dark, cherry liqueur.) I'll have to get a bigger bottle!

Cashmeran! And lots of it! The tuberose-cashmeran combo, which we have all already experienced in Michael Kors Michael in very similar proportions, makes Tubereuse Virginale a bit less unique, but it is still original, and very, very beautiful. It is extremely strong in the opening, I get tuberose plus some other white flowers (it must be tiare, but I smell some jasmine, too), woody accord, and juicy cherries. I do not get vanilla as a separate note, but I guess it is vanilla that makes the composition so sweet (very sweet, but I like it). This is a very beautiful fruity white floral, it smells expensive, sultry in a femme fatale way. This is a kind of scent you crave while being infatuated with it. Exotic cherry woody sweetness. The start is all girly, frangipani jam,the base is very woody, unisex. The right guy will pull this off.

I've bought a different fragrance, Moulin Rouge from Histoires de Parfums a couple of years ago for my birthday, and I was testing a lot of scents that day, but Tubereuse 2 hypnotised me... I couldn't stop thinking about that fragrance and I promised myself that I'll buy it for another birthday :)) And yes - I've done it last year! I still remember it very vividly, I had just finished chemotherapy for Hodgkins lymphoma and after the last infusion me and my dad went to Moncredo perfumerie in Warsaw to buy it. I was so happy that day. I was certain that chemo worked well, I loved my new perfume and I had an amazing outfit. With that fragrance I felt very feminine and beautiful, and nothing could change that, even if I was very thin and had no hair. Magical, charming and very sexy fragrance.

It was this week when I heared birds singing and I knew Spring time is coming and soon. I have been thinking this one to next springtime scent and to early summer time. This scent is good to moods when nature is rebirthing and starting to bloom. I love this time of year and Tubereuse 2 Virginale is just correct one for these spring time feelings and moods. Helps also us people to rebirth from winter to coming summer, opens our senses and raising joy in our chests. Very Joyfull scent this is indeed me thinks.

This is a beautiful, natural, sexy tuberose. It’s bright enough for day wear, but still sexy and certainly not just a clean innocent floral. On my skin I get a yummy honeyed tuberose with soft musk. Wears well in hot weather (have yet to try it on colder days). Unfortunately, it stays close to the skin and fades to nothing within 3-4 hours. But that just means that I get to experience the pleasure of applying it more often ;)

For some reason I really like tuberose scents. The opening notes of cherry and tuberose of this is stunning. Unique, gorgeous but not overdone, the cherry exists alongside the tuberose for the perfect amount of time before fading into the floral heart of this fragrance. The dry down was a really light tuberose and wood base. Perfectly balanced and not overly strong. You could wear this most of the year and get by, I believe.

A really wonderful sweet tuberose! I love it! Tuberose can be horrible for me (when I lived in India for a while in the 80's, that smell was everywhere, and toooo pungent, in the heat, dust and with other 'exotic' smells!!! and put me off it for life) - but sometimes it is fabulous - like in this lovely perfume!!! I love it, really! It is very beautiful. Charming.

Candy and flowers, a lollipop in a flower garden. It's remembering what it's like to contemplate "going all the way," a sugary hint at future obscenity. It's very sexy, the tuberose/frangipani/tiare combo give a sense of something ideally exquisitely fleshy. It's your first kiss mingled with fucking on fresh sheets. Bravo.

Ah, sweet summer memories! This is a lovely warm fragrance, with a sophisticated blend of tuberose, frangipani and tiare. It's not a typical sunscreen fragrance but kind of reminds me of it. I love this type of scents and I'm glad that I'm parting ways with the samples I got from Histoire de Parfums with this one.

I'd say this is tuberose-light, or tuberose for beginners. It's softened with fruity notes, which give it a gentle and calm aura. I couldn't compare it with carnal flower at all. Someone who would like to get to know tuberose fragrances should start with this one. It won't scare him with loudness and sharpness.

An adorable sweet tuberose scent. Very modern, feminine and sexy if you are into big florals. Pleasantly surprised. The cherry makes it charming and the tuberose isnt out of control but sweetly soft. Love the happy sweet vibe.Going to need a full bottle.

It's flirty,young and fresh.It has an exotic air that travels you to caribbean islands.I smell intense tiare flower I believe it could be wore by someone who likes girly scents.

Tubereuse 2 Virginale has surprised me, in a good way. The composition is much sweeter than I thought it would be, introducing some likable gourmand qualities. The tuberose, although dominant, tends to be a little overshadowed by the other notes in this fragrance. The initial blast is a rich and complex blend of sweet, creamy tuberose and tiare flower. I was hooked from the very word go, and left the fragrance counter feeling very pleased with myself. The heart impressed me even more, with a delicious, juicy cherry accord blending beautifully with the tuberose. I would never have believed that a fruity take on such a strong white floral accord would be so successful. This is where the gourmand quality comes in, with the composition becoming quite sugary and syrupy. Tubereuse 2 Virginale is perhaps not a wonderful representation of tuberose on its own, but if you embrace the composition as a whole, the experience is breath-taking. Some may find this fragrance a little too sweet, but I personally find it refreshing and sensual. Frangipani, white woods and vanilla rounds this fragrance out into something quite warm and cozy. At this point I'd say that the tuberose in Tubereuse 2 Virginale has been made to smell edibile. The cherry accord holds its strength right through to the drydown. The longevity and sillage is fantastic, yet I wouldn't expect anything less from Histoires des Parfums. I would recommend this fragrance to younger women and to those that like florals with a sugary twist.

wispy white dress stained with red syrup caught on thorns, snagged and soiled with a smile. illicit affection and surreptitious duets; a secret rendezvous prompts an indiscreet smile smudging lipstick across a neck, lovingly stained. hidden horizontal hug in a field of white flowers, poppies scattered throughout like pockmarks. with stretched arms, undressing begins with eyes and backseams; teeth grazing, soothed in the cruelty of sentimentality. a rush of an off-putting camphorous opening—green, rousing, invigorating—soon lets its guard down, learns to loosen up, and gives in to a medicinal cherry along with tangy, pithy tangerine. luckily for me, the cherry sweetens and the metholic tinge rounds out and drops off in time, allowing the scent to become creamy white with flecks of red. thorns melting off a vine reveal a satin finish, desperate to mingle with balsamic buttery tuberose, which dominates after half an hour with sweet and smooth jasmine undertones as coconut plays peek-a-boo with sour cherry behind the scenes. pearl white, cherry red, drover yellow. the longevity leaves much to be desired, but that feels like part of the experience—elusive and kittenish; just when one is arrogant enough to believe she is in grasp, she is gone with a wink. songs for tubereuse 2 virginale: sing by the sweetest ache, srpski jeb by pulp, c-86 is killing my life by parenthetical girls.

Virginale is a full-blown white floral scent in the beginning, a mature tuberose flower lusting after a pollinator, on a mission to lose its virginity. If there are fruity top notes, they blend into the tuberose so thoroughly that they’re not evident. After about 20 minutes a fluffy musk kicks in and the tuberose becomes more grape-y, gradually giving way to a generic tropical flower accord with just a hint of fruit and musk. Rather than revealing a clearly defined base, the scent just gradually fades away over the course of about 6 hours. Sillage is strong at first, but quickly diminishes to a whisper. This is a scent that comes on strong, but does not sustain the initial effort. Nice, but I did not find it not compelling.

This is a beautiful fruity cherry tuberose and jasmine/tiare backed up by patchouli. The star of the show is tuberose followed by cherry and jasmine/tiare. The patchouli gives it a earthy medicinal spice which at times gives this vague cherry cough syrup like quality. I don't detect the plumeria, however I do smell vanilla. The tiare and jasmine are almost equal strength and quite pronounced. I do really like it. Not sure I am liking the patchouli in it or not. EDIT - 11 hrs later - patchouli patchouli patchouli and that is all that remains. I will hold off on a purchase of this one - too much patchouli.

mmmm, I'm loving this! Tubereuse 2 is mesmerizing! In its top notes, it weaves an aroma that I can best describe as heavenly black cherry pipe tobacco. As the scent develops, it becomes a harmonious duet of crisp iris and tuberose,in which neither flower dominates the scent bouquet. The flowers stay crisp, not billowy, making this a good unisex candidate. Potency and longevity are moderately good, probably a 6-7 on a scale of 1-10. Something about this scent brings to mind another stunner, Alien Liqeuer. If you like that one, definitely check out Tubereuse Virginale!

I sprayed this all over and I just sat with it for awhile, trying to guess the notes. It was very hard as I never would have guessed that 'green notes' aren't part of the very top and middle. I also didn't get any cherries at all. During the dry down it very much reminded me of the original Dior Poison, but unlike Poison, this one doesn't hang around long at all. Three hours is about it. It's a nice fragrance; just not my type of tuberose.
