Bouquet du Trianon

A garden in a bottle, this perfume is mood-changing. Tuberose is accentuated, surrounded by green and flowers with ylang-ylang at the forefront. There's also a hint of fruits. A little spritz of this perfume goes a long-way. Long-lasting, this is best for spring and summer.

I am a sucker for history, this fragrance was given to me as a gift. On my skin its a light, but noticeable green floral, it is a charming unusual scent. Nice for Spring or Summer wear, a daytime, garden party perfume.

This is such a pretty fragrance. It is like a garden in a bottle, but a landscaped one. I own 3 scents from this brand, one of which I gave to my nephew because it smelled better on him than on me, and one of which I kept as it is a very pretty rose perfume. Out of all of them this is the closest to my imagination of what the Historiae brand was trying to achieve. I read a blurb about this fragrance before its release that piqued my interests. This perfume, along with all the others, were supposedly replicas of the original fragrances of their time. This one is supposedly from a formula made for Marie Antoinette by her perfumer, Jean-Louis Fargeon, based on all the plants and flowers in her personal garden at Trianon. I don't know how true that is or if it's just imaginative advertising from the brand, but this perfume did make me think of English gardens; a style of gardening historians claim Marie Antoinette loved. A very pretty woodsy green floral evoking a rolling expanse of hilly lawns, oak trees and yews, and flowerbeds bursting their borders with fragrant blooms. Beautiful blending creates a smooth, gentle, charming fragrance with delicate silage. I am surprised that such a soft fragrance is supposedly a copy of the formula Marie Antoinette's perfumer created considering the unsanitary times where heavier fragrance was often used to mask body odors. I also don't understand this brand's claim that this is Marie Antoinette's perfumer's creation if Bertrand Duchaufour is listed as the perfumer. Does it count as his creation if he just followed a formula? Maybe a stupid question to ask, but I really don't understand how two things can be true at once. Whatever the case, I suspect this company muddied the historical waters in order to sell this perfume. If true, they shouldn't have bothered, because this is pretty enough to stand on its own merits.

This one is beautiful! Very light but not so light that you cannot smell it...it's simply a light, beautiful and delicate tuberose fragrance. I little hint of green in the beginning and then more of a creamy, delightful tuberose. It also reminds me a little bit of a flower i smelt when I was in Thailand - something honey-like or orchid- or frangipani-like. I guess I'm simply thinking of the main note together with the beeswax, honeysuckle and ylang-ylang. Perfect for spring or early summer when relaxing in a beautiful garden.

The first notes sketch the appearance of the English garden, green with hints of galbanum, mint and blackcurrant leaves, brightened by sparkling citrus trees. Freesia flowers mingle in their dance, brought by a light wind that blows down the paths. Opulent and sensual flowers appear at the edge of a copse. The tuberose reveals its charm and its beautiful elegance, adorned by the sunny and radiant spots of ylang-ylang. Her Majesty the Rose accompanies it with grace and delicacy, while the honeyed notes of melted beeswax and honeysuckle add the finishing touches. This is a weird but wonderful fragrance. It smells more herbal and green than what I normally wear. It does smell like you're out in Versailles but it's more a green garden of plants than of flowers. Some strong notes of galbanum, beeswax and patchouli would otherwise have smelled bad but they're softened by freesia, ylang-ylang, sandalwood and amber. The whole thing turns into a tuberose scent toward the end so while it's minty and herbal, it's also a white floral scent. I think it's unisex because of the greenness and patchouli. It's aromatic and smells very different than any of my other perfumes. I don't know where I could wear this. I guess it would make good air freshner and room spray because it does smell like a little garden. Or I could wear this while helping out my mother in her garden. Love it.

If you like delicate tuberose you will fall in love this scent. Flowerage, the forest, very little fruit. Interested scent , long remains on the skin.
