Finnish Timber, Spruce, Blonde Woods, and Sandalwood gives it a full-bodied, yet balanced character that feels both grounded and natural. The inclusion of Dry Wood and Tonka Bean adds an extra layer of warmth, depth, and complexity, while the hint of Vanilla provides just a touch of sweetness, grounding the composition. For patchouli lovers, this fragrance is a dream come true. A “walk through the forest” One of the most accurate interpretations you’ll find. Went to Madame Aucoins in the New Orleans French Quarter and after sniffing 20 or so fragrances walked out with this one. Highly recommend you check this out. Finnish Timber is fantastic. Beautiful, very well rounded Woody notes dominate but it also has a ozonic/aldehydic type airiness about it that’s reminiscent to Motabaco Cuba by Ormonde Jayne’s “Mountain air accord”. It’s woody and coniferous but never leans into those astringent, sharp, and sometimes medicinal notes commonly associated with fragrances of this genre. Instead, it stays smooth throughout. A bit of ambery/vanilla sweetness in the dry down really keeps it smooth and well rounded. All aspects from initial spray to deep dry down are nice but It really starts to shine about 45 minutes in. This one checks a lot of boxes. It’s unique, I don’t say that lightly, unique is incredibly rare these days. Finnish Timber is very well constructed and thought out. It’s versatile, and I feel will be worn a lot in my large wardrobe. It’s a solid performer I’m at 7 hours longevity but it projects nicely for the first 2 or 3. It’s a good value for the quality, I paid $130 for my bottle. It’s interesting Enough to keep me sniffing my arm all day and good enough to inspire me to write this post at 4 a.m. it’s also got a pretty cool 2 piece wooden box that’s held closed by magnets. Would be a great end table box for your phone, wallet, keys, change. Its been a big fragrance purchase year for me and so far, this may be the best. Pleasantly surprised and eager to try more from this house.

I bought the discovery set from History Parfums to try this one in particular, and I’m really I did that instead of a blind buy because I would have been very disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the smell of this. It smelled like gorgeous wood, but it barely lasted. I felt like I got two, maybe three, hours out of it and I am not a meagre sprayer. Maybe it is my skin? Is there skin that perfume doesn’t last as long on? But it felt very short lived. However, when I sprayed it on my clothes it was there the next day, which isn’t so great on an overcoat or scarf. I try not to spray perfume of outerwear as it limits me to one scent for a bit. Anyway, I don’t feel like to lasted. Also, the only scent out of all of the pack that I got compliments on was Icelandic Wool. Not that I need compliments, I just thought it was telling, since these are not common. Uniques scents tend to get noticed, at least by my friends and co-workers. Literally one friend said, “Ooh that’s nice,” for Icelandic Wool and one friend sprayed herself with French Violet and loved it on herself. I must admit those were the best two in my opinion as well. The weakest in the discovery set was Thai Lychee. Anyway, won’t be getting a big bottle.

I had previously bought a sample set of 5 different perfumes from this brand and hated each one, completely giving up on the brand. Months later, when I smelled Finnish Timber, I thought I could give the brand another chance. It's a nice, minty, fresh scent.

140dlls for a 30ml? come on, these people aren't going sell much with these ridiculous prices, everybody is trying to save as much money as they can nowadays.
