Swiss Praline

Although the scent profile of this perfume resembles Angel's Share By Kilian, for those like myself who find the latter not an easy wear, Swiss Praline feels like a softer, more easy-to-wear take on the Angel’s Share style. It has the same warm, sweet, cozy vibe, but without the heavy, overwhelming intensity. The boozy notes are gentler, the sweetness is smoother, and the overall scent is more balanced — making Swiss Praline a more approachable, everyday version of that rich gourmand profile.

OMG I swear this smells just like rum raisin ice cream. I normally really dislike gourmands as personal fragrance (I don’t want to smell like food and they make me hungry), so I assumed I would hate this. But as it was part of my History discovery set, I figured I would give it a try and wow do I love this. Started fruity and sweet with the bergamot and praline, but within seconds it becomes spicy and boozy and almost mouth-watering. This is the type of fragrance that I personally wouldn’t wear, but love sampling because it’s a whole experience. I do love Swiss pralines and had expected this to be the sort of marshmallowy gourmand that’s popular these days, but this is more like sitting by a fire aprés-ski and indulging in drinks and chocolates.

I'm usually a little averse to gourmand fragrances, but this one. This one is special. It smells beautifully sweet without being sickening, and the cinnamon really reminded me of Azzaro's Wanted by Night. Addicting, sweet, a little boozy, and overall very enjoyable and very wearable. I would love to wear this in the winter or fall for sure. The praline here is very syrupy and tangible, almost mouth-watering. It's a very cozy and delicious fragrance, with great longevity and sillage to match. Love this line!

#696 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I just returned from vacation in Los Angeles where I was wearing History Parfums "Mexican Cactus" every day (I am absolutely addicted to the stuff). Got back late last night, and made a point this morning to get the next History Parfum out for trial. This is a great scent, but I knew Immediately from the sneezing and several minutes of a runny nose, "I've smelled this before." Many reviewers have noted the similarity to Killian's Angel's Share, and you are so close, but it's the Kilian's dupe Lattafa Khamrah and it's synthetic bergamot oil you're smelling. Had a similar reaction to the very similar in formulation Bentley for Men Intense and every other fragrance that uses synthetic bergamot. (If it's real Calabrian bergamot perfumers tend to say so in their marketing. If you search for it you can find over 380 manufacturers of synthetic bergamot oil for the perfume industry). You can check out the notes for Khamrah and see for yourself there's little difference between Khamrah and this Swiss Praline except the $100 price differential. Just like Khamrah, which I had to give away, I like this scent. So I've got Khamrah Qahwa which lacks the synthetic bergamot and adds a nice coffee note, and makes it slightly different from Angel's Share, which I still have on the shelf and can wear without five minutes of sneezing and a runny nose. Also, while this is certainly versatile and safe for any purpose, unlike History's Mexican Cactus, Swedish Forest and Spanish Carnation, all of which I recommend, this, as with their Colombia Cacao fragrance, just isn't as impressive a performer as the rest of the line. All the more reason to save $100 and buy the Khamrah.

My expectations were higher on this one but I also can't say any bad thing about it. However, Angels' Share is better than this in every way and lasts/projects longer tbh. Also, Swiss Praline smells more Arabic to my nose, rum is giving more heavy spiciness compared to Angels' Share cognac note, and I'm pretty sure I smell hints of oud in this fragrance. This is the spicier and heavier sister of Angels' Share, but not it. Projection is so-so, but lasts a day for sure. Swiss Praline DNA is closer to Khamrah or Zara's Sand Desert at Sunset (which I'm really high about) rather than the Killian.

Just got a discovery set with a full bottle purchase I made and I got 5 from this house. I like praline, ever since Praline in Maple from Scents of Wood. This is definitely sweet and leans way too feminine for my taste. But ladies, you will turn heads with this one. This is what I want my dream woman to smell like. 10/10 scent! Very strong too, I sprayed two shots in the air and filled my family room.

This is one of the best fragrances I’ve bought this year . Projection and longevity is great , has an Angel Share vibe, but a tad bit sweeter. This is a beautiful fragrance

This is essentially a fizzier, more sparkling and citrusy version of Angel’s Share. Angel’s Share is boozier, sweeter and deeper in comparison

This one is scrumptious! To my nose it’s a boozy apple pie scent. Got it for a good price as a blind buy and it’s good!
