H&M Way Past Midnight

Cinema: At last, I can place the similarity between these two scents, however opposed they are in terms of price, and prestige and glamour. While YSL’s Cinema is a deeper, richer and more powdery scent, H&M’s Way Past Midnight swirls with a lighter mix of notes, and a lighter sillage overall. However, the sweet delicious mix of floral, vanilla and hints of citrus notes is shared by these two fragrances. If one burns a hole in your pocket, the other is an excellent option, providing, of course, that one manages expectations of longevity—Cinema lasts and intensifies, while Way Past Midnight does not.

This is quite pretty - floral, creamy, nothing bold or obnoxious, a very safe pretty scent. I like it. It has no resemblance at all to Flowerbomb IMO other than they are both floral fragrances. As with all H&M fragrances, I am astonished at the price. Some of them are real gifts and delights.

Still one of the prettiest scents I know of 3 years later. I wish they still sold this.

Really not bad at all... a little generic, rather shortlived, but still very pretty - a welcoming, warm scent smelling at least five times better than its price would make you think. The sandalwood (or analog) in this is generally smooth and soft, but not that distinctive or detailed; the rest is just a fine femme blur of pleasant sweetness with a tinge of unidentifiable flowers. Very soft, cosy sort of ambiance, nothing about it shouts or screeches. Even the often-acidic grapefruit is pretty tame and well sweetened and the ginger's pretty quiet. The overall effect is much more floral than looking at the pics here might suggest - they hint at a clean, maybe even acerbic fresh-outdoor scent, but Way Past Midnight is definitely an indoor and civilised affair. It's nothing exceptional - it won't make anyone drop everything to chase after you in the street - but as a totally serviceable, all-weather, all-occasion scent for women at a truly miraculous price, this is in fact a pretty extraordinary bargain. I wasn't expecting to like it much, but really did. Give it a chance.

Been having a tough time and needed a pick-me-up so I bought this because it's so cheap at €15. I also tried Above The Clouds, but to me it smelled like laundry detergent. Way Past Midnight is very smooth, I smell mostly vanilla and magnolia which makes it have this creamy quality. I love the name of it, but I don't get a 'past midnight' vibes from this - it evokes a nice garden brunch on a spring day. Yeah the longevity sucks and so does the projection, but still it's nice and I agree it smells more expensive than it is. I think Zara is better at making cheapies. EDIT- I oversprayed this morning (about 10 sprays) on my clothes and I can still smell it 6 hours later. I doubt it projects for others to smell, but it's still comforting to smell it on myself. You must spray these like crazy to compensate which is totally fine because it's so cheap to buy.

While I do not think that this scent is very complex or unique, it is nice. I keep it in my bag in case I forget perfume before I leave the house, and I wouldn't be put out if I had to spritz some on before work or whatever. I also think that the notes are all pretty easy to pick out with this one. It smells like a creamy, sweet, slightly floral vanilla mixed with that old school "Hawaiian white ginger" kind of ginger smell, and something slightly woody. I usually can't pick out that many individual notes in a fragrance, so it is interesting that it comes so strongly with this. That said, it does not last very well, and I do find it to be a little on the overly sweet side after a few hours.

This one surprised me. Bought a little sample-sized one just for fun, and I actually quite enjoy the smell of it. I would say it smells florally and fruity when you first spray it, but then it turns into a veery fresh, vanilla-ey almost woody floral scent. I also get soapy vibes from this, which I love. It's a simple scent indeed, but a very nicely executed one. For the price this is very good. Personally wouldn't buy a full-sized bottle just because I am not in-love with it, but it's quite nice. Only two negatives: Doesn't last long at all, and the scent is very muted, so you end up using a lot of it. Still good for the price though!

Just like the description on its sleeve, Way Past Midnight is 'feminine and intoxicating for those you allow close'. You literally have to put your nose to the skin to smell it after half an hour. There's a reason why this series of fragrance comes in a full size, travel size, and a body spray. Layer it up and it just might last longer. Longevity aside, this is a very wearable oriental. It conjures an image of lounging in a garden of night blooming flowers, drinking a glass of sweet moscato wine.

Very similar to flowerbomb. But weaker.

This is kinda nice but pretty boring! In my opinion it doesn't have similarities with flowerbomb at all. For the price I can't complain. Nice, easy to wear scent, Longtivity on clothes is pretty good. Will not buy again.

For its price tag, to me it smells very expensive. Creamy but not the sweet milky type of cream. Can’t smell the citrus though but the sandalwood is quite striking. Doesn’t last long but you can always re-spray through out the day. One of my best blind buys :)

On me this comes off as very fruity, girly. Almost Escada-like, doesn't remind me of flowerbomb at all, but maybe it's just me. Very nice perfume though and you can smell it for quite a while.

im sorry um whaat? similar to flowerbomb? nooooooo. theres no sweetness in this perfume. i dont like it.
