Festival Nite For Him

Crisp coumarin cream with an apparent and inviting granny smith top note. It feels and smells warm on skin for at least a few hours, making it actually perfect for a festival night. It blends nicely with nature and dirt, but isn't all smoky and boozy like other festival-inspired colognes. It's like So-Cal by Hollister switched his jeans for shorts and a tank top, then went glamping by the river for the weekend. For an inexpensive EDT, it performs well with STRONG sillage and respectable longevity. Citruses and florals are present but do not dominate, even in the opening, leaving room for the more unique features to shine through. It's fresh without being soapy, familiar yet innovative. I like that Hollister picked up on recent trends and released another oriental fougere that doesn't remind me of indoor shopping malls and beaches. Top notes are slightly animalic to my nose: very wet, sour, salty, and fleshy. This sharpness makes it a very nice warm weather and outdoors fragrance that can even be nice when you've been sweating a bit. The same notes don't linger on my clothes, which have a decidedly more creamy floral scent on dry down. My skin is more powdery/musky/woodsy for a few more hours after the spices disappear. Overall, it really does a lot with a little. My favorite recent (2010-2020) release for men by Hollister offers originality, class, and sex out the @$$. Blends nicely with other oriental fragrances, not as nicely with woodier fragrances, which can muddle and overpower the impressions I get from this cologne alone. Besides, Hollister already has some great woody scents you can use!

wWOWw! Heard about Festival Nights for men from Ross at TLTG Reviews who said this was a great cheapy, dude WAS NOT LYING! This fragrance is quite beautiful and unique! My pallette may not be as sophisticated as some, but I'd venture to say that Festival Nights rivals some of the more pricey designer fragrances out today. That Tonka Bean note gives it an ambery touch which makes this more versatile imo. I'd much rather have this in my collection than Montblanc Ultra Blue or other similar "cookie cutter blues" that costs 3 to 5 times the price! Beautiful, intense, bright, ambery, spicey, fruity and somewhat aquatic. Theres NO alchoholic blast in the opening and the performance is not half bad! With-out being an "edible" type scent, this manages to have a "mouth-watering" effect on me, for being a "cheapy" it's pretty intoxicating, just can't put my finger on what obout Festival Nights has that effect on me🤔 I really like the bottle design too, I grabbed the 30 ml bottle at a rack store for $14 and with that neat twist cap and oval-ish bottle shape, this is just perfect for travel, maybe a weekend getaway at the beach or a cruise maybe.. 8 outta 10 in my book! Very nice!🤩

50% 1 Million and 50% Halloween Man, in scent profile with performance that is a little better than Halloween Man but not quite as good as 1 Million is. I actually enjoy this much more than Halloween Man but it's a little bit more youthful than 1 Million is so I still prefer it to this one though. Festival Night is also much less synthetic smelling than Halloween Man is. Needless to say, for the $16 I picked this up for at the local Burlington this is DEFINITELY a no-brainer!!!

Very beachy, light, but playful scent. I highly recommend it for the summer, you can wear it all day and all night. It lasts really long, I can smell it on my clothes even after 24 hours! I once pulled an all nighter and I was still able to smell it the next day, it was just as strong as if I just applied it 5 minutes ago. Good for everyday wear but its wayyy better to wear it for partying. Really good value, I have to give it a 9.5/10

Wonderfull fragrance. I love it, my mom bought it for me for very cheap discount. Apple, bergamot,ginger, ambroxan is what I get. It's like a fresh warm version of 1 million but better and spicy in sexy way. Versitile for all seasons for dates, clubbing and nightwear. Longetivity quite good actually, 6-7 hours. Great price value, and the best one from Hollister. 10/10 for me.

Picked up a 3.4 oz for 20 bucks. What a steal. Definite 1 Million vibes, which I find quite pleasant. Performs great for the price. Very happy with the purchase. Definitely grab it if you can!

My husband likes this and he isn’t big on perfumes. I love this on him, a happy and delicious summer scent, not juvenile in my opinion. 4/5, would be a 5/5 with a better longevity.

I was looking something new for summer nights and I found this masterpiece only for 12 euros. I love it! Very good smell with great performance. So far the best Hollister.

Hollister Festival Nite for Him is the best of the two Hollister fragrances I've gotten my nose on. Festival Nite is a good alternative to 1 Million Cologne. I say that despite Festival Nite is not as aquatic as 1 Million Cologne is. To me it is a perfect in between of 1 Million Cologne and Golden Secret. Semi aquatic but spicy sweet at the same time. Festival Nite hits me with a mix of apple, and citrus up top with somer watery notes. I think that is the apple and the ambroxan in the mid. The mid is a mix of the ambroxan and the pepper. The base is tonka and woods. I really do not get the ginger or musk notes. Hollister Festival Nite is really a nice take on the 1 Million Cologne DNA and something anyone should get if they enjoy or enjoyed 1 Million Cologne. It is a lighter and slighter performer. Like 1 Million Cologne, I find it can work nearly all seasons and day time and night time. Ironically this is despite it being a "Nite" flanker for the Festival line. I would say it is a nice date, work or casual scent. If you want 1 Million Cologne but dressed up, just wear that. The rose makes it upscale IMHO. Hollister Festival Nite for Him is on of two Hollisters I got. I picked this and Festival Vibes for Him. Vibes I didn't enjoy, i do really like Nite though. It isn't a love like Golden Secret or 1 Million Cologne (both have a bit more character to them) but I will enjoy it. Especially over Golden Secret's horrible plastic atomizers... I give Festival Nite a 7.3 out of 10.

my ex-boyfriend wears this and it is such a shame that it smells so good...i wish i hated it. but it is delicious. although i do think anybody over 25 should not be wearing this, the scent is a bit playful. it is kind of like walking into a swimsuit model shoot for Abercrombie i'm not going to lie. it's definitely the word "cologne" defined with a bit more of vanilla undertones. it isn't as obnoxious as something like sauvage or something typical, but it is definitely just a tier below. i didn't know the scent profile for the entire time we were dating, i just sort of assumed it was supposed to be a warm musk--so the top scent being apple was honestly very shocking to me. i will definitely buy this for my next man but he will never know why.

To preface this, I payed £16 for 100ml of this fragrance and got it from Amazon so any negatives I have have to be weighed against that. That being said I do actually like this one. I agree with the comparisons to One Million and Le Male. In my opinion it's a bit of a fresher take on the bubblegum sweetness, that these fragrances share. In someways similar to Afnan 9pm, not in that they smell too close to each other but that it is a fresher, more wearable version of jpg ultramale. However, unlike 9pm, the performance is very lack luster. Poor projection and maybe 4 hours on a good day. It is slightly disappointing but like I started this review - I payed the equivalent of $20 for a 100ml, so over-spraying is a must. 51⁄2 out of 10.

Scooped this up for $20 the other day and I gotta say, not at all disappointed in what I got. To me, it’s closer to Halloween Man than OM...but HM is very similar to OM...so...🤭🤯 Maybe it’s just my skin but it also seems to carry a bit more “brightness” than the aforementioned, which makes it a little more versatile. I don’t know how much wear this will actually get other than just around the house, but it’s definitely pleasant. A nice and sweet, fun scent that’s not too overbearing. If you like the fragrances it’s compared to, and have an extra $20 in your pocket, you could do a lot worse! (Like Festival Party...smells like you spilled a cup of jungle juice on you)

So I enjoy this scent. It was on clearance for $16/3.4oz on clearance and so I pulled the trigger. Others say it reminds them of OM or HM and I can see that... but I instantly went over to my bottle of Armani Code Profumo and sure enough, it smells like the Root Beer scent from Profumo! It also smelled similar to Sean John, by Sean John. Longevity is much better than Sean John (Not hard to do) but not as long as Profumo, so it lies in the middle of that. A really nice cheapie find!

heavy on the ambroxan, a nice fresh spicy-ish cheapie for spring/summer. definitely average on the performance and the twist top is kinda weird but if you can cop a bottle for under 20$ it's a no brainier to throw on for the gym/everyday!

I don't see what's to hate. I got this for $16. To me it smells like a mix between eros and 1 million (or even Halloween Man). It's a fun clubby frag for younger men, Is it the best thing I own? No Is it the worst? Also no

I can't believe this doesn't have vanilla in the notes because this is sweet. I wish I had tried it sooner. It's very pleasant and has some sex appeal. For being under $20 this is a steal.

((Update: upon wearing again today close to my neck. It's starting to burn my nose a bit similar to Guess Noire. May have to call it quits on this one and any of these bubblegum style scents.)) So with the little help of some reviews, the lack of a sweet scent in my rotation, and TJmaxx clearance. I decided to pick this 100ml up for $16. I have smelled and worn a test of 1 million, and I have owned previously and worn Guess Noire. I haven't tried Halloween man yet but I can say it's just as people say as it's in that category. It does not smell like Eros. Eros has more of a Vanilla/Tonka bomb while this is more of the apple/ambroxan/Tonka bomb. So normally I don't reach for these style frags as I liked 1 million but felt it was pretty intense and liked prive more for my taste. Guess Noire smelled extremely synthetic and cloying which burned my nose. This Hollister shocked me as not too bad. It's relatively smooth with the sweetness. Doesn't burn my nose and doesn't come off synthetic. Performance is surprisingly well for the price. The bottle is interesting. I had one issue with one bottle broken and thankfully was able to exchange it so it is a tad cheap towards the cap. Lower smooth rubber like material feels nice. Hopefully doesn't get a bit gross like my mugler bottle does. It feels like it wears just ok at my age in my 30's but this would've been killer in my teens and 20's. Really honestly surprised with Hollister on this one. Little banger at a bargain and it seems like every store got a bunch of these in so easy to pick up. Word of warning. Girlfriend got a headache from this one with only two sprays. Maybe a possible woman repellent. Wear at own risk. This one I'll keep for personal days since she isn't a fan. I can definitely recommend this for the price.

Absolutely reminds me of OG Eros - a definite minty note that doesn't seem to be listed. Paid $14 for 50mls at discount store. The aromatic/fresh spicy is at the top above any warm or amber. Good at this price. Edit 10/28/24: original review still holds true - but there's an absolute sweetness, almost a cookie sweetness, on the drydown. Still really good. Edit Jan '25: After 5 months of using this on and off, I find this incredibly similar to most of the A&F frags - cloyingly aromatic/musky/sweet/etc - so much more so than is necessary that it almost makes me a little ill feeling. I've put this in the back of the cabinet and won't be using it for a while. Mercedes-Benz Sign or Eros Eau de Parfum are my go to frags now for sweet or citrusy aromatics.

remind me of ultra male with less sweetness and more powder. Still smells mid and isn't that fun to wear and smell. Eh.

Perhaps it’s just my nose, but I can’t bring myself to like this fragrance. After seeing the note breakdown and the high ratings and reviews praising it I thought it would be a safe blind buy, especially because I was lacking in an Amber fragrance and wanted one to round out my collection. Since I got it I constantly put it on trying to get myself to like it, even putting it on during happy or exciting experiences to create a smell association, and nothing has worked so far. To my nose the fragrance is not well rounded, and is missing something. I want to say it’s missing something sharp, like a sharper citrus or a more piercing aromatic note. All I get is synthetic apple with a warm/soft spice, nothing bright or uplifting or sparkly. Telling myself it smells like a warm apple pie very slightly helps, but i still would want it to have a more prominent or sharper spice like cinnamon if that were the case. I wanted something versatile but I think this is too warm to wear during hotter months. This may just be my nose, since so many other reviewers seem to love it, to me it’s a confusing collection of notes making it almost sickly smelling.

Dry out smells like toilet cleaner on the skin. Maybe mine's is an unlucky batch but I really don't like it.

I really wanted to like this and have been trying to convince myself it would smell better in colder weather, but I just can’t see it. Looking at the notes I should love this. I thought it was going to be a cheap gem. It’s just awful. Any comparison drawn to any product ever made my Versace or JPG is WAY off. This smells cheap. All I can smell is what must be a nauseating, overwhelming musk and crappy synthetic tonka. I’m not against sweet fragrances or a snob who doesn’t like cheapies, but this is too much. I’ve put my nose on easily 100 fragrances and this is one of about 5 that was so bad I had to scrub it off. To me is smells like every crappy note in Paco R. XS dialed up to eleven. Hate it!! Immediately threw it in the trash. I would not even resell it on eBay, it’s that bad.

I just received a sample of this one and as soon as I sprayed on my skin, it hit my memory scent drawer and it was so obviously one of the legendary fragrances none other than “Le Male” by Jean Paul Gaultier! It’s so close especially to the one before the reformulation! Good news, isn’t it? I didn’t even spray full, just a small spritz and it is quite powerful like old “Le Male” used to be. I’m sure this will do quite well for club goers like in the 90’s. Smart marketing for Hollister. By the way for the counter part for girls which I also received the sample, too, it’s definitely the extremely girly and young vibe just like one of those Escada collections. Super fruity, sweet floral, tropical but definitely a synthetic bomb. More than boy’s one. I’m in my early 50’s now but I don’t mind wearing these once in a while but not to the extent to go buy them though. I’d probably buy more Zara ones than Hollister.

This one is hard for me to put a bead on. Once again recommended by TLTG. Ross has this for $12-16 depending on bottle size. I paid $13 shipped online to my door. Wish the top and middle notes stayed longer as they are notable from a fresh spray or smelling from atomizer. Once it dries down it smells powder/musk/pepper/tonka and semi chemical smelling. Typical hollister projection, within 6 feet depending on how much you can spray. Can smell it on myself constantly throughout the day. Would say its suited for a date night, night out, close range. This scent grows on me I wasnt sure what to think but im comfortable wearing it around and out and doesn't overwhelm me. Try it out for $10-15, really a unique scent for the price.

I picked this up at Burlington for almost nothing- total blind buy. It's powdery, with the ambroxan / musk leading... fresh spice and fruit/citrus play a supporting role. Longevity is great, of course leans more and more ambroxan as time goes on. Feels made for women to like versus a fragrance enthusiast. Some guys might find this too youthful (if you subscribe to that sort of thing). Clearly not as high quality make as a designer, but for the price it's really great. Closest designer to this would be JPG. 7.5/10

A very good sugary, sweet smell. Maybe could be unisex. An extreme version would be better as it's very mild. It's best suited to daytime or the spring...in the summer might attract bees and while the notes are comforting 'round Xmas, it's far too faint for the temperature.

This reminds me so much of 1 Million from Paco Rabanne. And that is a fantastic fragrance so this is another winner. It's not as strong and maybe doesn't project as much but it is an absolute bargain at this price point. Quirky bottle too with a twist cap. Excellent. 8/10

Fun and beautifully sweet apple-tonka-ambroxan scent. It stays linear, it projects quite well and lasts for a long time too. Don't be scared away by the brand name, anybody with a sweet tooth can appreciate this at any age.

This is absolutely an inspiration of one million. Maybe slightly more subtle and a little more powdery in the dry down. It also has a resemblance to Guess Seductive Homme Noir. Overall not bad at all for a $20 fragrance.

Have paid 7,40€ 100ml bottle from amazon(price with cupon) , yes has some OM vibes , but i detect a much more strong similarity with UDV Night. Performance its not the best , but its cheap and smells good
