Восход Sunrise

Yet another masterpiece from Maria/Masha. I think it's safe to say she's earned her spot in my top 3 favorite noses in the industry by now. While other noses rely on a "signature", I find that can often lead many perfumers' concepts to smell like variations on the same one fragrance, as opposed to truly different fragrances. The same cannot be said for Maria. ВОСХОД stands in sharp contrast to something like ЧЁРНЫЙ. While the latter is dark, smoggy, chemical, and brooding, ВОСХОД is a breath of fresh, crisp spring air, full of matcha, mint, and basil. Those three notes come through clear as day to me. I find Holynose to be some of the most accurate in their listed notes of any fragrance house, where every perfume clearly conveys *exactly* what's listed on their website. Almost no other fragrance house is as accurate as Holynose on this front, in my experience. ВОСХОД's bottle is a bit strange, and while I'm fine with the design and spray, it actually feels half-empty. Maybe this is because I'm used to glass bottles, but in weight it feels closer to 50ml than 100ml. Regardless, this has quickly become one of my all-time favorite spring/summer fragrances, up there with Resonant by .Oddity, Ganymede by Marc Antoine Barrois, Tears on Asphalt by Michael Sailstorfer x Geza Schön, and Angir by Boris Bidjan Saberi x Geza Schön. I believe this is a limited offering, so I'd highly recommend this to those looking for a "matte green" fragrance that incorporates tasteful sweetness without dulling the natural-smelling mint and matcha notes and turning them synthetic.
