Quality Of Flesh

I can only agree with Miguel Matos who claimed this must be in the top 10 of new fragrances released in 2015. It is definitely a very sexual scent and no doubt masculine and highly physical. It ́s truly animalistic and resembles the scent of sweaty, intoxicated, naked bodies. Quite like a seedy gay leather bar with that dense, loaded atmosphere of booze, cigarette stubs and sexual tension. Spotted, dirty and worn out carpets and leather furniture. Once you step out of this bar, onto the street, the fresh air strikes you as a contrast. Quality of Flesh captures the moment BEFORE you open the door... A bit heady, too much can make one dizzy. Not a mainstream fragrance, but I feel challenged by the fact that it ́s quite demanding to wear. What I really love about it is that it has captured the dark and forbidden world of male carnal desire in a most convincing way. Not that perfume necessarily has a natural place in that underground world, but because that scene may simply smell just like that on its own; dirty, tantalizing, nauseating at times, but magnetic!!! Like a male version of Tannhäuser ́s Venusberg! With this scent you can bring this underground world up into daylight, knowing the depths from where it came... Enjoy! I just ordered my back-up bottle! I will not risk being without this gem!

This is incredible! An animalic fragrance made right. Sultry styrax and leather, heavy dose of civet, and a beautifully rendered costus note adds ambery facets creating a scent of primal sexual tension. Not for the faint of heart, but for a hardcore fragrance lover only. I've wanted hardcore animalistic fragrances like this forever now. Dior's Leather Oud was my mainstay but now that Quality Of Flesh has come along this is only but a masterpiece worth wearing even more. The performance is insane, lasts for days after spraying. Amazing! 10/10

Oh this is good! Comes across a bit like a lovechild between Roja's fetish x leather oud(the proper first release 😜) I own & love both of these. I could see why folks might not appreciate this but If your used to a bit of filth & skank it'll be a walk in the park. I don't find it nearly as controversial as some of the comments might suggest. Great performance all round. 👍

It's very interesting and undeniably beautiful, but I must admit that it makes me a little bit ill from the top notes.

A few reviewers here wrote this was a very unpleasant smell, its opening even a bit 'fecal'. One reviewer even stated: “I hope to never smell this again.” Seriously? I wish I had that sensation because I like brutal fragrances. But none of it all. For me, this perfume starts in a slightly sweet manner, turns into the smell of paint, and shortly after that it's like I'm hanging above a basket of freshly ground pepper. I say: What’s not to like? Also there’s this hint of steel which makes this scent kind of dirty. And I like that. On the downside: on my skin this scent is a bit shallow. And after all the reviews I had hoped it to be more ‘dirty’ than just a hint of steell. So in the end Quality of Flesh lacks the distinctiveness I am looking for.

An elegant, beautifully blended and very animalic modern Oriental fougere, this is a real nice scent for bold unafraid type of personalities. The fragrance opens with spicy aromatic notes of juniper berries, pink pepper and black pepper. It moves to a brief woody floral heart of narcissus, patchouli, styrax and costus. Finally it settles on a leathery powdery base of leather, civet, benzoin and castoreum. Moderate sillage and projection and very good longevity. Only recommended for the bravest of perfume aficionados. Enjoy!

This is smoky earthy leather (not the industrial tar-like leather of TF tuscan leather) with a big dose of civet which gives it a animalic fecal smell. I think this fragrance is very similar to Dior leather oud but better in my opinion. Dior leather oud is a bit sweeter than this one to my nose. Quality of flesh takes some getting used to if you are not familiar with animalic fragrances so i would defo suggest getting a sample of it first to try.

i found it something as usaul as any leather/castoreum fragrances but there is a special touch in it maybe less sharp than others like africka olifant of nishan and african leather of memo, something represent the wild life of castor home .. thank you i gave you some similars up there

This reminds me of Fetish Pour Homme by Roja Dove, only without the citrus notes. With that being said, this fragrance has great quality and longevity and its a fraction of the price of Fetish.

Ugh guys I'm sorry and this won't make anyone happy: but I hate this. It opens like a burst of vanilla shittrus and smells very animalic and a touch fecal. It thankfully had a low projection on first blast or I might have tossed cookies. I resisted the urge to not scrub it off and was eventually...rewarded(?) with a scent that reminded me of a less deep, less interesting 1740 Marquise De Sade from HDP. It turned my stomach and to be blunt...I hope to never smell this again. Scent: 4/10 quality blended and artistic but deductions for smelling like a knock off of 1740 Marquise De Sade-no matter how high quality. Also deductions for the faux vanilla-shittrus used bathroom in a steamy courthouse opening. Projection: 4/10 thank God. Not too loud but that is almost too much. Sillage: if anyone noticed the scent of "oops I poo'd" while I was walking around the bookstore while wearing this, they were all polite enough to let me hide my shame so I don't know. Longevity: 7/10 I threw in the towel and gave a light scrub about 4 hours in...and its hour 7 now and it's still detectable as a skin scent. Would I buy a full bottle: ...no thank you. As "cooking mama" would say; Eeeugh... not mine..."

Dark + rotten melon notes, very synthetic, smells like something from an amateurs experimentation. Definition of poor niche to me.

Whoah nelly! Only paper-tested this one because I'd been warned - and indeed even on that, this one enters with a burst of stank that's more like stink - very, very dirty animalic, so earthy-bloody it conjured back a few distant but nasty memories of Secretions Magnifiques. But but BUT ... left to its own devices for 10mins and then there was this magically deep wood/leather/earth/spice thing that's so down and dirty it seemed oud-y to me (even though there's no oud there.) That phase has incredible confidence and charisma, maybe even beauty if you give it more time and space than I could. This is obviously a complete individual, perhaps even a weirdo - it will certainly polarise, and it also seemed to have the kind of super-organic complexity that would behave very differently on different skins. Personally I'm a little bit afraid of wearing it on my own self (I think, but I 'd be curious to try anyway, just the once...) but if you really hunger for a wild savage jungle beast of a scent and like your stuff deep and filthy in the best way, you probably want to try your mettle with this one. Seriously grunty.

Should rest my nose, I thought. Hmmm .. Put some tests on blots yesterday, and read through the text today so it became Quality of Flesh. And there, again, I realize Never trust a paper. My skin hated this. Sour leather, poop, urinals, toilet sprays, petrol, sour Water and it opened up so exciting with pepper .... The scent that can certainly be claimed in English-speaking countries smells like colon. (On the son club soda, hardwood, incense, the injustice of life) You should know that I do not mind dirt, but the very feeling of having just been out shoveling away the bad well from the outdoor toilet ... is not really my thing. Superb quality, great on paper and My son, but on me ... Noooooo....

WOW... The splash of harsh leather hits at first like a burst in the night and bit by bit a sweet sensation arise as you see it from quite far. The tension remains at max for 5 minutes then comes bit soft with sweetness as the devil in disguise! This is quite sensational as an erotic scene in the night, and YES i get the vibes of "Cuir" by Mona Di Orio. It's animalic with castoreum indeed, some civet, sweet styrax, splash harsh leather, & pink pepper. I can't detect any narcissus, or black pepper! Intensive erotica. Edit (20 mins in) i believe it has as well the vibes of "Reckless Pour Homme" by Roja Dove, and very VERY much of it, it's indeed naughty.

Just revelling in the warm animalic envelope that is Quality of Flesh. Tried alongside Mona's Cuir, for a comparison. A real throwback to older, skankier scents. Very male and carnal without any compromises.

One of the most disturbingly beautiful names to be given to a perfume. Totally insane, i love it!

Absolutely waiting to get a sniff of this gem. Like the animalic notes in here.
