Duc de Vervins L'Extreme

Houbigant’s Duc de Vervins L'Extreme is a simple, classy, upscale fragrance that’s meant for those that are quite reserved and don’t look for attention. The note breakdown is simple enough. I get citrus, lavender, and oakmoss, but I must say that the blend is sublime and smells very natural, like the highest quality ingredients were used in making it. The fragrance is smooth from start to finish. It invokes the feelings of fougères and chypres that my father or grandfather would wear, all while not smelling dated whatsoever. It comes off as shaving cream/foam used in barbershops in the best way possible, maybe even a high-end soap, and smells of pure masculinity and the qualities associated with it - strength, confidence, stability, authority, and so on. For what it is and what it’s trying to achieve with this scent profile, it’s perfect. I find that the performance from my bottle with the batch number 3601187H is acceptable, though it could’ve been a bit better. It projects moderately but leaves a nice silage. It lasts on skin for about 6 hours or so. This fragrance will shine in any season and any occasion, but it’s meant to be used by individuals who are aged 25, at the very least. This fragrance comes in a 120ml bottle, which is fantastic, but the bottle feels so cheap. It is easily the cheapest-feeling bottle in my collection. The plastic on the bottle feels awful, and it would’ve been just fine without it. The atomizer is also terrible. It sticks out for whatever reason and doesn’t readily spray at times. The spray distribution isn’t great either. Overall, I’d give this a 9/10.

I get that it kind of smells like drakkar noir. This is more classic French woodlands scent. Much more natural and higher quality. Much lighter, brighter, refreshing, zesty and less performance than the old drakkar formula. Back when drakkar had a premium price with dangerous performance. This stuff smells like Creed quality. It's really good bergamot and lavender in it. Earthy musty oakmoss comes through very nicely with a crisp vetiver. It doesn't smell old or dated. Smells luxurious to me. Top notch natural bergamot, lavender, and oakmoss will always be in demand and cost a premium. It's in my top 10 so far. One of the best smells ever for me. 10/10 for my taste. I can understand maybe not being blown away with this like I am. I've got some experience when it comes to high quality natural perfume ingredients. I know what I'm getting here and I really appreciate it. Beautifully French fragrance. Very versatile. It's much closer to Loewe pour homme than drakkar. It is a much better performing version of the original Duc del Verns which I adored while it lasted. It also has similar vibrant vetiver to Bleu noir line. This out performs all those mentioned. It's not a beast or performance hoe, but it really does perform well for such high use of naturals in this modern regulated formula. The opening through mid are the best. The drydown is still absolutely wonderful. Just the right kind of barely noticeable sweetness in a lavendery musk.

Discovered this fragrance in Neiman Marcus about a year ago, and have found myself reaching for it ever since. This opens with big, bold, and beautiful green notes, with a very nice freshness (fresh shave vibe) at the top. As it dries down, some of the sharper green notes become more subtle, and the fragrance becomes a bit warmer with a complex, smooth, spicy, and musky accord. The green notes are still present, but the edges become "smoothed over", which in my opinion gives this fragrance the elegance that many talk about here. To me this fragrance gives off the vibe of a 30-50yo masculine man, driving a white vintage Porsche with the top down on a spring/summers day. He knows what he wants, who he is, and is confident in himself. I have worn this in many different occasions (mostly for my own enjoyment) and was very surprised at the compliments I received both from women and men from the age ranges of 26-50. Women usually just go "wow you smell great" and men often ask "what fragrance are you wearing?". Again this did surprise me as I wouldn't consider this fragrance as mass appealing. Don't get me wrong, it is quite a statement, and I'm sure some can't stand it's bold edges. But for those who do enjoy this, they really do enjoy it. Longevity is quite good, and sillage is about as strong as I would want it to be without being ridiculously offensive. If you want a masculine head turner, this is a must try in my opinion.

Absolutely amazing! Don’t let the note vote fool you. This is NOT A LAVENDER scent. Beyond the initial spray the bright and not so deep lavender moves to the middle and behind the predominant lime and lemon citrus. It basically is a soapy strong lemon and lime in a stinker of an EDP with phenomenal Sillage and above average longevity for such a type of scent. This is coming from someone whom owns a lot of Xerjoff and Stephane Humbert Lucas 777. Despite the cheap packaging and relative price this competes against these top shelf items and this is in my top 10 rotation out of 200 odd perfumes. The perfume is given an awesome depth with the oak Moss and is at the same time bright and airy. The leather classification is an error - this is aromatic citrus. Great for a refreshing wake me up on a cold winters day or summers day as well. Old school for the new school. If you like old school barbers shop citrus it’s an absolute no brainer.

It's a keeper for me and it has satisfied the fougére fragrance category in my new and improved 8 fragrance collection. I don't get these people with dozens, if not hundreds of fragrances. You couldn't possibly make a dent in most of the bottles before they "turn" and go bad. Duc de Vervin's L'Extreme sits in the barbershop fougére group and is a solid choice . Lemon on top with some lavender and ,according to the ingredients on the box, real Oakmoss. A classic gentlemen's scent with decent performance . I'm not really "into" performance since I wear fragrances for myself. It's just a bonus that my wife likes all of my fragrances . I have tried to cover the spectrum in my collection and wear what ever I'm in the mood for. For under $100 for a 4 oz. bottle Duc de Vervins is a good value.

I completely agree with the first ebear review. I would add that the opening is just marvellous! Fresh, zingy, sparkly lemon and moss with tangy lavender and spices, it's really ultimate high-class barbershop vibe here, a step above in quality and sophistication than rugged Drakkar Noir. Very masculine and classy, it doesn't smell dated, I would say 'timeless' is a better word here. I have received many compliments when wearing this from my significant other (26 yo). As the fragrance develops, the citruses mellow, creating a cosy masculine musky vibe. It has its own character but if you like vintage Dior Eau Sauvage Extreme, Chanel Egoiste Platinum, Xerjoff Fiero, Chanel Pour Monsieur don't hesitate 120ml bottle for ~65-70 USD is a no brainer here.

So Ive had Duc De Varins L'extreme for over a month now and while it smells amazing and lasts longer than Drakkar Noir, Its still NOT all that "Long-Lasting!" Even after "Maturating" for over a month, Im getting about 5 hours AT BEST on skin and that'swith pre-moisturizing my skin with a touch of Vaseline before I spritz some on! Idk why people need to exaggerate the performance just bc they enjoy the smell of a fragrance? So yeah, Ive gotta say that Im very dissapointed with the performance of Duc De Varins L'extreme and wiish Id have just stuck with Al Rehab's- Dakar which is an amazing, potent, long-lasting dupe of Drakkar Noir that goes for around TWELVE BUCKS!!!!

Excellent fougere! I am aware that there are many kinds and this is my kind of fougere... 80s powerhouse style that reak of masculinity. Its much better than Fougere Royale. Its quite loud with 6 sprays. I didn't need that much, but it took a few minutes to kick in. I wish I had purchased a bottle of this instead of the other. Its 10 hours in and this is still projecting. Who would have thought that a fougere could be nuclear? I hope one of these $70 bottles is as good as my 10ml decant. 9.25/10! You read that right! I like the scent of Heritage more and I only gave that a 9. This gets .75 bump for the performance.

This is fantastic. It smells REMARKABLY similar to Drakkar Noir. If you love Drakkar, you'll love this. Duc de Vervins L'extreme is a much-improved version of Drakkar, however. I love Drakkar...don't get me wrong, but Duc de Vervins L'extreme is higher quality, it's longer lasting, it smells better because it's spicier. Drakkar leans more on lavender, Duc de Vervins L'extreme leans more on Oakmoss. If Drakkar is a solid 8/10...Duc de Vervins L'extreme is a 10/10 in my opinion. It's old school. It's super-masculine. It's barbershop. It's just fantastic.

Awesome classy scent most suitable for Spring and Autumn but can be worn year round with caution on the trigger.Brilliant fresh citrus lavender and oak moss powerhouse very natural smelling definitely more mature.However can be worn by a young man who wants to give an aura of distinctiveness and self assured confidence.Will definitely get compliments in the right scenario such as work or at a conference etc just probably not in the nightclubs.Simply a 10/10 all things considered price performance and palatability.

This & the EDT are hard to beat. I have many more expensive fragrances in my collection, more celebrated, better known but I still find myself reaching for Duc de Vervins. I wear L'Extreme in the cooler months as it is a bit stronger but I love them both equally. This isn't just a stronger version of the same fragrance. While they are 85% to 90% the same there's a difference that's clear. I'd say the edp is more herbal in the heart notes vs the more floral heart of the edt.

Fresh, strong, manly and traditional. Very 80's, straight out of the shower soapy scent. Bags of oakmoss, lavender and citrus. Like duc de vervins but way more punchy. Amber and spices in the background make it more masculine than duc de vervins, which is lighter and more floral, though also fresh and green and traditional. A fougere on steroids. Good value for money and EDP concentration. I like this one, I will add it to my collection, as a one-off 80's throw back.

All hail the Duc! This stuff should come with a musical cap. Like, when you take the cap off it should play that little jazz ending riff, "Shave and a haircut, five cents!" Yup, this stuff is your basic straight-up barbershop freshie. A woodsy citrus start, with spices and flowers in the background. The dry down's powdery and rather linear. If you liked the old school classic, Drakkar Noir, you're going to love this stuff. It's a lot like the OG Drakkar. 5/5 stars.

Super powerful almost patchouli Rosemary like shaving foam, oakmoss and mega overdose of dry musk. Really shocked me how strong this fragrance is. I did about 3 sprays and was giving my mom allergies from 10 feet away, and turning heads in the grocery store. You should get about 8-10 hours with this and heavy sillage/projection. What's a little disappointing though is the drydown is mostly just a dry musky smell, very reminiscent of Abercrombie and Fitch Fierce.

Update after a few weeks and after wearing it a few times: the dry down is really awesome! Smooth, clean, masculine. This is a very strong masculine scent that brings you back to the 70's and 80's. I smell this perfume as a strong version of the classic aftershave cologne from the old days but with a super strong and brash presence and longevity. Very classy, pungent (in a good way), dominant.

Duc de Vervins by Houbigant is a blast of lavender at first spray. Beautiful, relaxing, calming lavender. Together with woody and citrus notes. Yes it is from the 1990's BUT in my opinion a true classic. It has excellent silage and longevity. It can be worn in any season, day or night. A true gentleman's fragrance. Right up there with Pour Un Homme de Caron. CLASSIC!!

This is the best most unashamedly modern masculine aromatic fougere.This is perfect for dresser classier occasions in spring-autumn when you are wearing a suit and tie.This is grown and sexy stuff you'll smell like a wealthy or well to do 35 man about his business 10/10.All the ingredients are super high quality and well blended and balanced smells very natural.

Drakkar Noir on steroids! I haven't tried Duc de Vervins. The extreme is awesome though. Lasts a good 8-10 hrs. Very masculine fresh. It's a real good barbershop/aftershave scent with that spicy/pepper that I really love. Got my full brand new Tester bottle forabout 50$. Barber shop fougere masculine fragrances are so underated and hated.

Good fragrance but dated scent profile. Strong bright citrus and lavender, fresh spice, and leather. L'extreme is the EDP version so its richer and brighter. The EDT is softer and sweeter in my opinion. I prefer the EDP over the EDT. Drakkar Noir should be compared to Duc de Vervin and not the other way around. Duc de Vervin is superior.

Gawd - this is a gorgeous bright citric lemon with soap and a green base mostly good lavender. This is the ultimate lemon barbershop - unbelievably long performance considering it’s genre - 12 hours no prob - totally inoffensive. One of my GOATs and one of very few I constantly by a new bottle regularly even with 350 or so perfumes!

Very similar to Drakkar Noir but a higher quality, smoother, bit brighter and less transparent (vs modern Drakkar Noir). Hints of Polo Green's mossy green vibes. Very natural and high quality. Smooth. Definitely old school but very wearable today. Kind of love this. Scent: 8 / Sillage: 7 / Longevity: 7

If Drakkar Noir was a man with a black trans am and a cigarette speedboat, Duc de Vervins is his cousin who has a Ferrari and a riva aquarama- similar DNA; much classier. Easily my new favorite scent and makes me not feel so bad when I go ham on the trigger when spraying Drakkar.

If I were to describe DDVLE in one word it would be this; Elegant. This is a gentleman's fragrance. Calm, seductive and exudes authority. Sillage and longevity are just perfect.

An Oakmoss heavy chypre Drakkar Noir. Good blend & quality, heavy, thick, long lasting, powerful & projecting. 10/10 (if fougeres are a love for you)

Ignore comments about performance; this will last 10+ hours with four sprays easily. Duc de Vervins Extreme is an excellent throwback to the chypres and fougeres of yesteryear. Had cheaply and with excellent performance, it is a rare perfect balance and maintains a bright, citrusy, soapy, classic composition; especially in the beginning. There is a strong citrus presence in the opening. Paired with orange blossom and oakmoss and lavender, it comes across like a softer, smoother citrus soap, versus the sharp bitter zest of citrus peel. It has a wonderfully comforting masculine feel to it. It smells strong, confident, and reassuring. Perhaps it is because when I was younger, my father and grandfather both wore colognes with oakmoss as a component, but DdVE evolves into a prominent, classic herbal-oakmoss chypre with strong soapy elements. Thankfully, there are no feminine aldehydes; just green, earthy herbs. Patchouli isnt cited, but there is a hint of some kind of earthy body, perhaps via a combination of the oakmoss and spices (or indeed a small hit of patchouli). It is fresh in a classic, natural way. There is nothing watery or detergent-like here; and it is not a bland, cookie cutter citrus. There is body and presence. As it dries down, the oakmoss remains prominent, surrounding you in a masculine aura that shines equally in the cold and the heat. Highly recommended as a strong, versatile performer (or even a signature). This could easily be the fragrance you wear for the rest of your life and that your children remember you by.

#434 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Houbigant Du de Vervins L'Extreme Batch Code: 3501041H Production Date: 2/10/2021 I was looking for a substitute for discontinued favorites Gucci Envy and Gucci Nobile, both of which I wore for a decade and miss very much. Houbigant Duc de Vervins kind of sits between those two and is an EDP, so lasts longer than either of those ever did. And the description is completely wrong. No leather whatever going on here. It's a chypre and a very good one with the really strong citrus and moss I love. Good projection, makes it to lunch and past, you could wear this to the office if you spray conservatively. Not for the kiddies. Probably 40 and up. Not something today's vanilla/amber lovers will appreciate. Bowling Green, Lomani Pour Homme, Bogart Pour Homme, Bogart One Man Show Emerald, all of which I have recently owned, are all very similar but only EDT potency. This is good EDP quality. Not a great price, but not awful. Worth it to me for the nostalgia I have toward this class of scents and my insistence on EDP potency.

The image I get when smelling this is a half naked, hairy chested man shaving his beard. Actually, in the dry down, it smells like a shaving foam/cream. The notes are very accurate. The citrus and white flowers are very short lived though. Quickly I get a strong lavender, and even a stronger oakmos accord. The spices mentioned are probably coriander(maybe there are other things too). The dry down is much less spicy, less herbal, but always "wet green". The amber accord is minimal; there's no strong labdanum or vanilla, but just a certain softness/creaminess. Longevity and projection are both great; I can even say that it's actually too strong, especially in the heart. It's one of those perfumes where less is more. The line between sexy, rugged male and arrogant macho is very fine here, imo. More than 2 sprays, especially indoors is an overkill. I think the perfume is best suited for mature men; unless you've decided to grow a moustache, wear Versace coloured silk shirts and listen to 80's rock bands because it makes you cool!

YESSSSSS!!! I feel normal! A few of the fragrances I've reviewed recently have left me feeling a bit odd, as if my nose isn't working properly. I didn't seem to be picking up on some of the keynotes that others had; and it wasn't that I've had dodgy batches or mislabeled scents as my wife has identified word for word a lot of the common characterisitics. All that's changed with Duc De Vervins L'Extreme. A lot of the reviews below are bang on with what I'm getting. So, to the sniff. Poofed the spray and immediately a citrus blast - and like ebear I'm getting lime. A couple of sprays to the neck and in no time the warmth kicks in. A herbal spicy warmth with an earthy lavender. It dries and settles to a very sophisticated soapy oakmoss. I've been told it smells like a particularly good shower gel. Well, there you go. Longevity and sillage are very good. You should easily get over 12 hours with the smell remaining and up to 6 foot dispersal. This isn't one of my 'love its' but it's certainly a high like.

I'm a fan of the original Duc de Vervins, so it would stand to reason that I like L'Extreme but I'm somewhat neutral about it. The opening of L'Extreme is quite a bit different, being a very lemon-herbal, whereas the original Duc opens more soapy green. As L'Extreme dies down, the lemon fades considerably and the herbal portion steps forward. It's very obvious that the Duc DNA is in the heart but L'Extreme goes the more herbal-spice route, where as the original goes more soapy green. To me, this is kind of like comparing the original Polo green with Polo Crest, except that Polo doesn't have a soapy note to me. The point of my comparison being more green to more herbal. Overall, L'Extreme is more of a "like" and certainly not a "love". I prefer the original by far, as I'm a fan of more soapy fragrances. In regard to projection and longevity, L'Extreme is above average and considerably long lasting, with at least 10 hours.

Duc de Vervins L'Extreme (DdVL'E) is the edp version of the normal Duc de Vervins, which is an edt. DdVL'E doesn't strike me as closely resembling anything else. Drakkar Noir and Polo are sometimes mentioned, but those two have healthy doses of patchouli, giving them that conspicuous dirty/earthy quality. DdVL'E, by contrast, is very, very clean - almost soapy. What I get, above all, is very sharp lavender: not the purple, flowery aspect of lavender, but the grey, resinous, coniferous kind. To my nose, it's that aromatic, coniferous lavender plus a completely non-sweet mossy base that dominate the fragrance. There's also some very tart citrus - lemon, perhaps a bit of lime. If you're interested in trying a classy, clean, masculine, sharp/piney lavender, DdVL'E should definitely be on your test list.

Ever since I tried the tester, I have had it in my collection. An elegant fragrance with refreshing notes for burning redness and situations. Perfume for the office, for children and the like, must be worn during the day in the summer, autumn and warmer days during the winter. I still have to test his durability, but the aura is the bomb. Too much of this perfume and you can smell too hot. A standard injection into the mencha (a syringe behind each ear, the left and right side of the shirt collar under the neck and one behind the head on the neck) and you will be full of cockroaches. Many people will wish that it smells "old", but for me it's very boyish and I think that it has its place under the sun even in brighter days..something like Sean Connery for example.

It smells familiar, I think I might have smelled something in this ballpark every now and while growing up which would make sense if its supposed to be similar to Drakkar Noir which seems to have been quite popular (though I have never ever seen it for sale locally). Very very masculine everyday scent, spicy and green and to my nose takes on a slight honey note. Fairly linear with excellent longevity. Lasts me over 12 hours. With 2 sprays. Can be fairly loud.

To paraphrase Etrigan no matter how grown I’ve become I still retain a certain affinity for this fragrance. Some 13 years ago DV was my join-with-me perfume in a story-heavy period of great fun, wicked twists and pure madness. Plus it bears my initials. In a sense this is my fragrance. Its citrus notes smell deranged now, and, well, I find it rude, and unbalanced, but a certain hairy chested Duke won’t pay attention to these details. ****(*)

This a fantastic fragrance. Definitely get the l’extreme. It lasts longer and projects much better. It is much better than the current version of Drakkar Noir. It is even better than the OG Drakkar Noir. I think it is around 70 percent like Drakkar but is greener instead of soapier. The green is more like Paco Rabanne Pour Homme style and not like Encre Noir style. Overall a great buy.

This is for L'Extreme. Decent performance, old school, fresh, green, herbal, but smelling dangerously close to some generic shower gels. Like not love. PS at £70 for 120ml, really there are better 'gentlemanly' frags around at this price. Maybe on deep discount, even then, theres no way I'd go through 120ml in 10 yrs Sorry! 3/5

I blind bought a partial bottle based on the positive reviews and I'm very pleased. This is similar to Drakkar Noir but with a li'l somethin' somethin' that makes it different, and I might even go as far as to say, better.

This fragrance is amazing! Fresh, green, spicy, and masculine.

I bought Duc de Vervins L'Exreme for the bottle design, and I also like things from the 90's era. In the opening, it is exremely fresh and quite enjoyble. But when it comes to the heart, that spicy note just ruins it. To me, the spiceness smells like some deodorants wore by some random guys in the gym locker room. It ages you without providing any maturity that should have come with the years. Then, the basenotes in the drydown smell nice again. I am not sure about this one - love the bottle, the opening and the drydown, but hate the middle spice note.

Honestly, off of the top I get a citric toilet bowl cleaner and the persistent smell of a slobbery rawhide dog bone. I've had this one for several years and have always been offput by the nasty rawhide smell. I don't know if it's a musk or an attempt at sueded leather, but it reminds me of dried rawhide bones and pig ears that a dog has been chewing. I do not like this one at all, unfortunately.

Batch code: 3701259H Production date: Sep-16-2021 Mine has very poor longevity. Lasts maybe an hour or two before becoming a barely noticeable skin scent. I got mine from ecosmetics which is based in Florida, however the package shipped out from Hauppauge, New York. I guess they drop ship with fragranceX or perfume.com. Maybe avoid those sites for now when it comes to this fragrance? Edit 12-26-2024: Ended up keeping the bottle because I was going to get store credit instead of money back and glad this happened. I let it sit without using it for about 5 weeks and the performance has improved. I sprayed at about 8:30am today and at about 2:30pm a woman standing about 5ft away from me said "Oh my God you smell so good." So glad because this is truly a beautiful scent.

Nothing new to add to the point that its a solid, masculine scent reminiscent of those 80's powerhouse colognes. Great, longer lasting alternative to the now much watered down Drakkar Noir. Doesn't feel dated. I totally understand the comparison to Drakkar, I can sense the similarities yet the two are still different. I was trying to avoid using the wording green fougere but I do ultimately those are the words that come to mind; a Chypre / fougere that is a bit more green than its counterpart. I get all the notes listed but I also get something comes off like celery seed; perhaps coriander and then just a hint of something that resembles fennel. Performance is good and projection is above average.

Vastly overpriced. Bottle has really light cheap cap and plastic gold sides, cap could be broken just be squeezing with two fingers. I have seen better presentation from La Rive for 6 Eur. This "niche fragrance" costs 70 Eur. Smell wise it is hard to tell how much this would cost, but as Drakar noir/Bowling Green are dirt cheap and very similar, this seems not that much better, I would suggest too get Bowling Green instead of this. The only silver lining thing about this is a bit better performance, although dont get me wrong, I don't think it is bad smelling. Expected more this house. I tried Fougere Royale and it smelled much higher class and presentation was better.

This is a very nice, clean, and classic scent. I would wear this happily. Although of higher quality, is is very similar to Drakkar Noir; and while it is ten times the cost of DN, it is not ten times better. I doubt it is even twice as good. In the end, I find Duc de Vervins l'Extreme a bit like the $1000 sneakers which designers offer that are, at first glance, hard to distinguish from a pair of Converse. The difference is that the average observer will, upon second glance, be able to tell that you are indeed wearing luxury sneakers, whereas with DdV, they will just conclude that you are wearing Drakkar Noir. In short, DdV is an overpriced Drakkar Noir.

An absolute blast back to the last of 80s/90s powerhouses like Drakkar Noir and Gucci Nobile - in other words, EXACTLY what I was looking for! I blind-bought this from Nordstrom today and have fallen in love. This scent impresses. Power lunches, thickly-knotted ties, boardrooms, etc. It's like the bottled "Dynasty" and put it on the shelf. Yes, it's rather dated, and yes, it might be considered old-fashioned. Who cares??? It's a true classic nod back to the days before aquatics and citruses and ouds, all of which have their place, even in my fragrance wardrobe. But sometimes you simply have to play with the big boys. This is the one.

This is a fresh shaven face, barbershop fragrance that has great lasting power. On my skin it resembles a cross between Brut & Polo Green & carries the stamina of vintage Polo Green and has the super longevity power that Brut never had. Vintage Brut only lasted about 3 hours on me, then had to re apply. Not with Duc de Vervins L'extreme though, this lasts all day long or all evening long. This is one of those fragrances that I have missed out on for many years, but not any more now. As soon as I got my first bottle & tested it out for a couple of day's, I had to order a backup bottle. It is that good.

Easily my best discovery all year along with the edt. Like many have stated this shares DNA with vintage Drakkar Noir but I think this is a lot better. This goes the more soapy route to me but not too much. Dries down mossy with just the right amount of spiciness. Performance on me is great. Ive found myself reaching for this way more than the rest of my collection as of late. Great stuff going on inside this bottle. If you're a fan old school frags this is a no brainer. Enjoy!

I just got my bottle today. Well well well, this is a very beautiful fragrance just what I wanted , I have been using Caesars man legendary cologne , drakkar noire and a lot of other barbershop frags but this is what I think was missing from my collection. It's green soft lavender,fresh woody and dries down soapy. On my skin it's a cross between fougere royal and drakkar noire but the dry down has little resemblance with Loewe pour homme .This at the end an amazing fragrance.

nothing new to be said but my bottle from around 20 years ago smells better and projects better then the one from 5 years ago . you can tell some notes is missing from it . its been cheapened over the years . sad part is it was probably much better back in 80's when it first came out and probably makes my 20 year old bottle smell reformulated .
