La Belle Saison

This is one of the the most beautiful fragrances I have smelled in a while. To me it is a sunny, summery and innocent yellow floral. Face cream kind of soft and comforting. I just got it as a birthday gift and can’t spray it enough. I love smelling like La belle saison. On my skin the longevity and sillage are moderate. It becomes a quiet skin scent quickly after spraying, but I don’t care. It makes me so happy.

Like a modern and fresher, brighter version of gianfranco ferre. Very pretty rich foral. A happy fragrance.... Really lovely in spring Lasts well. I kind of see a slight resemblance to amarige but this is cleaner, fresher and not as warm. It's a creamy scent, fuller than gianfranco ferre (not in projecting way, but in terms of depth) and lasts well.

I was hoping for the mimosa to be more powdery, but this does indeed lean more sweet and creamy and more white floral-y. Quite vintage smelling, I've been interested in more vintage smelling fragrances lately and this is a good starting point. One thing I was disappointed with was I expected something more elegant from Houbigant and this just did not meet my expectation. It has that slight bubblegumminess that I cannot stand in a lot of sweet white floral perfumes. The BOTTLE IS STUNNING though.

Optimistic and bright mimosa. A very authentic, refreshing and mature fragrance. It reminds me of botanical gardens in early Spring. All the floral pairings have a recurrent uplifting, optimistic and bright character. This reminds me of a poised, well-connected and influential lady with years of experience and a kind spirit. She lives in a Manor House in the rural countryside and goes on enviable and adventurous trips.

Creamy yellow florals. Beautiful for a sunny spring day, easy to appreciate even by people who dont indulge in yellow florals. Two puffs are sufficient for me to keep smelling it through the day and for people to come in closer and ask what Im wearing. I would definitely buy a full bottle if the price was more reasonable.

I usually hate perfumes with white florals such as orange blossom and lily of the valley but this one is sweet like honey and very heavy on the mimosa! Smells just like springtime.

Very pretty and sophisticated. A beautiful sunny day in a bottle.

I received a sample of this with another purchase. As soon as I smelt it I was hit by the Lily of Valley. Definitely not for me.

Day 5 of trying out all the miniatures of the Collection Privée. This one is most definitely not for me. I don’t smell any of the ingredients listed. It reminds me of medicinal lozenges for sore throats or a WC disinfectant, and there’s a powerfully strong scent of pine. The green rawness was really off-putting and completely overwhelmed whatever sweetness might have been lurking in the other (hidden) ingredients. In fact it was so awful on me that I had to scrub it off after a few minutes (in vain, as it’s still lingering more than 8 hours later). I feel sure there must have been some error in the proportions of essences used during the manufacturing of the liquid, or else premature evaporation of all of the top notes and most of the middle ones, leaving just the labdanum behind. Some men might like it, but I can’t imagine any woman wanting to wear the sample I had. The best in the collection so far for me, by far, is Quelques Fleurs Jardin Secret. The last one I have to try is Mon Boudoir, which I shall wear tomorrow. This particular sample of La Belle Saison will have to be poured down the drain.

I came to say that La Belle Saison Houbigant is so very similar to this great scent that I used to wear a life time ago. and today I am very happy that I have found La Belle Saison, a must buy for me.

Just tried this, what a fabulous fragrance. It's hard to find the Lily of the Valley note in frags today. I kind of get the Amarige whiff after dry down but no where near the strength.

This is very similar to Amarige. This is a sweet fluffy mimosa bomb. It does become softer and more delicate in the drydown, but it opens loud and high pitched. Mimosa lovers only.

Opening I get mostly lily-of-the-valley and mimosa. Pink pepper pops up rather quick. Inoffensive, unremarkable, plain floral. Dry down is nice and soft, mature.

One of the most beautiful perfumes in the market. I am a big fan of Houbigant and pray for the day they would create a beautiful rose or hyacinth perfume...

Very pleasant and well-crafted classic floral, first quite loud, but then turns into soft and natural.

Modern version of Amarige/Givenchy. Amarige is slightly more indolic and a bit more opulent.
