Orangers en Fleurs

Orangers en Fleurs Houbigant (3702304, October 2022 batch, USD 120) I brought Orangers en Fleurs on spot, the same day as I have sniffed. I have been on a quest for Sweet and Powdery Orange Blossom fragrance, and this yeah. This is it. I am not so sure if my assumption is true, but Orange Blossom as raw material in perfumery. It is more like a feeling than the actual substance. I rethink on my fragrance journey. And I found that Orange Blossom, most of the time, when mention in perfumery. It more like sparkling sweet-fresh citrusy ambient, softy nectar like - more like a wet feel. How high you have been dump the Orange Blossom raw material. It will just support the sweet, fresh citrusy side. Orange Blossom, as per origin doesn't mean to last. Majority of Orange Blossom fragrance will tile on other note. To assist the long lasting Orange Blossom feel, on reinterpretation into other direction. i.e. Le Rivage des Syrtes by MDCI Parfums, ambitious to make Orange Blossom dominate fragrance with incense. or Amyris Femme Extrait de Parfum Maison Francis Kurkdjian, new way by merging to fruity note instead of Classic tuberose interpretaion. or assist with modern material likes Atlas Garden Yves Saint Laurent, the known Mortal-lite amber accord. or Prada Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger, the dominant soapy-orange blossom fragrance. Orange Blossom most of the time, play the support role - not the main roll. The most true to life Fleur d' Oranger interpretation, is somewhere between Ylang, Tuberose, Soft Mandarin on Powdery base, slight touch of spice as origin source - as you know "Fleurs d'Oranger Serge Lutens"; Orangers en Fleurs by Jacques Flori, I find this more on gentle and delicate take of Orange Blossom, it is not as hot as Serge Lutens one, not as big and smoother than the one from Serge Lutens, but still, walk in the same direction. Orangers en Fleurs by Houbigant, gives modest projection for good 1-2 hours before lasting on skin as woody, softly soapy ambient on skin unto 3-4 hours before it is all gone. I believe this EDP rendition in term of quality of ingredients. This preforms quite similar to the new EDP release of Santa Maria Novella. Rely on percentage of material to create a good quality scent than the lasting and projection. If there is one point that slight turn me down is soft aroma chemical tone (prob Iso-E) and lite-amber that gound scent together is slight evidence in dry-down and this slightly rich in Hedione. I think this is probably one of smooth soapy clean orange blossom that feel so warm to put on skin. A firm like to love for me and I really want to know you more. As individual fragrance and orange blossom. :) ===== Update 1 : January 25, 2025 I wear this again today.. So happy. I drive in these kind of Orange Blossom lately. So far my another 2 companion is Pichola Neela Vermeire Creations & Le Rivage des Syrtes MDCI Parfums. I think these can show how good dial ratio between : Orange Blossom, Rose, Ylang, Nutmeg / Clove and Tuberose with Jasmine. Can makes good impression of Orange Blossom scent. I think this slight vintagy and classic. It do develop in 3 stages. Like a classic fragrance... It kind of my own time scent. All the goodness is in Top and Heart. The Floral bouquet. But once it moves to support role. I smell something like Soda wood, It kinds of Sparkling cedar experience. reminds me of Jasmin Sambac by Hermes. Another fragrance I think of during wear is Champs Lunaries by Rogue. The Spicy Tuberose (This more green and show case with liter Orange Blossom). It is soft bubble gummy tuberose any way.

Tried this at Neiman Marcus in Atlanta over the weekend after almost wearing out a 10 ml sample of Serge Luten's Fleurs d'oranger. Honestly I thought they were one and the same. Yum, yum yum YUM! There is something I can almost taste in both of them, like the juice of a valencia orange as I swallow. At the same time they both hover around me. I have never walked down a row of orange trees but in my imagination they are just like cherry blossoms that festoon everywhere only they waft a floral orangey scent. I find the cumin in the Lutens to be noticeable but not hippie skanky (if you know what I mean). Its just right there at the end of the row of scents like punctuation. Maybe it is telling my nose "stop sniffing now". But I don't find it offensive and pretty much find cooking cumin to smell as BO-ish as a spice can smell. Anyway the Houbigant to me is the same deal only no cumin. So at Neiman Marcus the sales girls were going up and dowsing themselves in this. Like it was hairspray or something (I kid you not; I thought this one girl might roll around in it like a dog who found something stinky in the woods!) Later at Panera the girl behind me said to her boyfriend "Someone smells amazing, like jasmine or something". It was me that smelled amazing! Maybe I can't smell Jamine? To me this is just a very heady orange blossom but I was already addicted to Serge and the local Blue Mercury was out of it so I went for broke and bought the Houbigant online. Neimans was having a gift with purchase that included a sample of Blackberry and Bay so in the end I'm thinking it will be cheaper and better than the Serge Lutens. Plus am I the only one annoyed by the Serge Lutens website? My husband would weep at the cost ($180.00 from NM for 100 ml of eau du parfum) but then he's out of town and doesn't even need to see the new bottle! Win-Win! Go me!

Oh sweet orange blossom, it opened perfectly with loads of natural smelling orange blossom - feminine and beautiful. Also it is very soon joined in by a animalic and very sexy jasmine which here smells simply raw, dark and sensual making this a really unique mix indeed. As more it develops I get even more of this dark, sensual jasmine, also ylang ylang appears making this a bit heavy for the nose. I've had bad past experience with ylang ylang, so I cannot say I enjoy this 100%. The thing about orange blossom at the heart part, it is not dominant, for me jasmine is what leads the parade as for orange blossom - it stays a tiny bit in background being more green that sweet (also the green note is pretty much from tuberose which creeps in the lead role now and then), which for me is a good thing as jasmine is very indolic and heady at this point. I do seem to enjoy this composition, it's def. a power fragrance - sexy, "in your face", ultra feminine, very natural smelling. It is also very interesting as it seems to change all the time - at one point it's animalic, then heady and sweet, then dark and sexy - it has it all. The quality of ingredients is more than one could hope for. Worth every penny. This is "femme fatale" in bottle.

As a child, my family would drive mile upon mile through orange groves in Central Florida, while I hung my head out the window, intoxicated by the fragrance of orange blossoms. Those orange groves are mostly gone now, replaced by asphalt, strip malls and theme parks. The fragrance of orange groves was powerful in all seasons, with ripe orange fruit and peel, and the depth of mulch thick with orange bark, but it was the orange blossoms that I found most beautiful. In this lovely perfume, Houbigant has captured perfectly the orange grove in all its complexity, merging seasons: the blossom, the ripened fruit, the oily bark. Redolent with jasmine, brightened by ylang ylang, deepened with rose and tuberose, anchored by an unexpected nutmeg, it unfolds as the orange epitomized. Balanced and well composed, it somehow manages to invigorate and sparkle at the same time it soothes and calms me. A lovely fragrance, good silage and projection, not as long lasting as I would like, it lasts on me perhaps 5 hours. I like cedar, although I realize others do not, but here it smells to me more of orange bark, orange mulch, with just enough musk to round out the drydown. The jasmine is outstanding, very vintage and natural.

Sigh...the drydown here is SO gorgeous--lush jasmine and nectarous orange blossom tamed by clean musk and woody notes. I tried on a sample yesterday and now every five minutes I'm sniffing the sleeves of my sweater, where Orangers en Fleurs still lingers. If it smelled like this from beginning to end, I'd already have ordered a bottle, no question. However, about five minutes after I sprayed it on, a quite pungent ylang ylang reared its head, and I had to suffer through a cloying, sticky sweet floral tinged with overripe banana for an hour before I finally arrived at this absurdly beautiful drydown. If it were less expensive I'd probably just buy it and suffer through that hour, but for almost $200...I don't know. Maybe. I'm torn. If you love orange blossom and musk, and you can at least tolerate ylang ylang and tuberose, go for it. If heavier florals put you off, try before you buy. EDIT: I've sampled this a few more times, and the ylang really has grown on me. I think the ylang detracts from the typical soapiness of orange blossom fragrances. I've gotten compliments every time I've tested it. I've added it to my want list.

Orangers en Fleur vs Fleurs d'Oranger To answer @nerolyan's question: "Could somebody send me a comparison of Orangers en fleurs and Fleurs d'oranger?" Here's my opinion on the matter: These two fragrances are the closest clones I've ever come across and while they're not sweet, both are compliment magnets for me. The main difference I find is in longevity and projection. On my skin: Houbigant's version can fill the room and leaves a lovely trail for the first 1 1/2 hour, but becomes a skin scent by the third hour, and is completely gone by the 4th. While Serge Lutens' doesn't fill the room, but projects for approximately 5 hours at about arm's length, it remains as a skin scent for 2 hours more, and can live on clothing for days. Longevity and projection in Houbigant are prolonged by approximately 30 min in warmer climates (79+ F), but I find Serge Lutens' Fleurs d'Oranger ́s performance superior. I think this to be a lovely daytime autumn fragrance, as well as appropriate for spring and summer.

Nature can give us the most harmonious olfactory experiences. This fragrance is a clear victory of humans at Houbigant at presenting Nature in unadulterated breathtakingly beautiful way. Orangers and Fleurs Houbigant is the one and the only real jasmine flowers smelling experience, equal only to Nature in intensity, richness, multifacetness, freshness, all to the deepest nuance. It's Jasmine blooms on the jasmine plant here and now, stunning perfume! No headache as some real blooming jasmine can induce. It lasts, at least on paper. 24 hr passed, it's still as intense, not loosing nuances, as fresh as yesterday. So, real jasmine is accomplished! Bravo! Please, give me real rose on the bush smelling experience next. Breathtakingly beautiful and true to nature. If you have never smelt live jasmine bloom -this would be the best reference. If you have forgotten - you will be amazed at the brightness, clarity of this presentation. It seems, they managed to capture the most evasive, the most beautiful.

Oh my! This is just lovely. Very strong orange note that remains steadfast throughout. Fantastic floral bouquet in the background. Houbigant is as old as time itself ( but not quite ) and I must say that OF and Quelques Fleurs Royale are two beautiful fragrances that I really enjoy. Although I find Houbigant to be a top quality perfume House, they just don't make it into the 'trendier niche' House list, and they deserve a spot there, because their perfumes are standing the test of time and must contain a high level of pure perfume because this juice is STRONG! Strictly one spritz only on a warmer day. LOVE those oranges! I'm told Princess Dianna wore Quelques Fluers on her wedding day, God rest her beautiful soul. After reading the above most 15 or so reviews, there's not a bad word about this perfume! LOVE THAT!! 10ml travel size and 'safe' blind buys available on eBay. $35! :)))

I do enjoy this a lot, but rarely wear it. I was hoping for a replacement for Jo Malone’s Orangeblossom – this is not it. Orange Blossom is extremely prominent here, but where Jo Malone is a fresh, clean and sheer scent, this is the opposite. This is deep, creamy. Spicy and soapy a bit. Some tuberose, some other white florals. I don’t get anything Green. This to me seems elegant, expensive. I don’t see any younger women wearing this, it’s too complex/spicy for them although perhaps they could wear it to work? It is very strong though, so it might be polarising, and not appropriate for most workplaces. To me this definitely smells expensive and powerful, like the woman in control. It’s not the uplifting sheer orange blossom I was hoping for but it’s lovely in its own way

I am down to about 10 ml of my 100 ml bottle. Bought it as a gift set (EDP plus the matching lotion) a few years ago after sampling it at Nieman Marcus. The orange blossom is rich and slightly sweet, the other florals are well-balanced on my skin. There is a touch of spice from the nutmeg. It is light yet long-lasting. Blooms beautifully in warmer weather. Love it in spring and summer. The extrait is precious; I have two 7.5 ml spray bottles that I use sparingly and enjoy so much. The extrait is quite exquisite, and I wish I had more of these! You really have to like orange blossom to appreciate this scent, but the other florals are quite pretty in this as well. I really notice the tuberose the most after the orange blossom. Just beautiful.

Sweet, rich orange blossom. It's lush, waxy and heady. Orange blossom usually isn't my favorite note, as it tends to lean soapy, and this does open with that greenness you’d associate with vetiver or lily of the valley. Shortly after spraying, though, it comes alive. This really wears like a classic floral, heavily flavored by ylang and tuberose. In fact it's indolic enough that I'm self-conscious wearing this; it’s tropical, syrupy, as thick as humid sea air. It’s more committed to being a good perfume than an accurate orange blossom; neroli oil in reality is quite bitter and green. Still, I have to admit this is a favorite of the genre. It's soft, pretty, balanced and palatable.

To me this is the daytime version of Serge Lutens Fleurs d'Oranger. It's done in a sophisticated classic style Houbigant is famous for, but it's not stuffy or old fashioned. I also own the Serge Lutens perfume to compare the two, and this is it without the cumin. The cumin is what makes that harder to wear for me, so I love that I now have a version of it without it. The bottle is nice. I do wish the cap didn't feel so cheap (rather cheap plastic), but the box is worth keeping. It's a quality box that you can use to store the perfume for years to come. Update: It really shines in warm weather, but the cap is bothering me. Not Houbigant quality. It won’t even snap onto the bottle.

I have an obsession with orange blossom. I own approximately 12 fragrances where orange blossom is the protagonist. So when I tried this fragrance, I tempered myself and walked out of the store with the clear purpose that I just do not need another orange blossom scent. But then, the perfume started to do its thing with my skin... and well, all I can tell you is that this fragrance BLOOMS on my skin! This is no dainty flower on me. Tuberose, Yilang and Nutmeg did not come here to play. No sir, they mean business and they are not going to stop until they get your attention, you graduate them to a nighttime perfume and take them out for cocktails and dancing! So, I bought 2 bottles

Day 1: Opening is a blast of very realistic bitter orange which fades fairly quickly. Oddly, this doesn’t smell like a big white floral to me at all – all I can smell is the Ylang, and faintly, the rose, nutmeg and wood. Was hoping those notes would be a nice counterpoint to a big white floral, the way eucalyptus is for me in Carnal Flower. But in fact I can’t smell the white florals at all. Days 2, 3, 4: Now I'm getting the big white floral perfume! Surprisingly different from the first day, now more like SL Fleurs d'O. Orange blossom, tuberose, jasmine, with the ylang, spices and woods now a nice undercurrent wafting in the background. Beautiful.

Quite simply the most delicious, realistic orange blossom scent that I've ever encountered, and it really does smell like a fresh orange grove in bloom, yet it has some depth to it,but not spice as in Serge's take on this flower. I absolutely love it and can't get enough! I'm addicted, constantly sniffing my wrists. The only knock I have on this is that the longevity is not the *greatest*, but it's not bad either. It turns into more of a skinscent towards the latter stages, but it starts as a bombastic orange blossom. I'm a bit of an orange blossom connoisseur, and I think this is my new favorite! Deep, instant love.

I often have issues with orange blossom, it is usually too sharp or too sweet or too "something". Not this one...it is perfectly balanced, smooth and rounded orange blossom and other white flowers without any sharpness, just enough sweetness. Gentle floral beauty, perfect for spring but really can be worn anytime. I was so pleased with the Houbigant Iris I decided to give this one a try. So glad I did. I love the retro style bottle and packaging as well. Everything about it is elegant. Just wish they would spring for a better quality cap. Other than that, pretty faultless.

Orangers en Fleurs is a voluptuous and lush floral bouquet, classic lines, worked with the generosity that only the old school knows how to do. Beautiful fresh white citrus-floral opening where the atmosphere oozes blossom of orange blossom and spikenard, a crisp green touch, jasmine and ylang background kept the floral tone, a sweet spot and a light musky woody background to give volume. It is not without some complexity in evolution and reminiscent of old glories of perfumery. The excellent duration and projects great thanks to the good qualities. Rating: 8

Upon obtaining this gem as a sample, I instantly loved it due to its white floral note. My favorite, unsurpassed Alexander McQueen, is all about white flowers so this one was easy to love. However, it is not merely a lesser imitation of a white flower scent. Orangers en Fleurs takes it to another level. After the white flowers dry down, the orange mingles and walks along side the beautiful tuberose and elegant jasmine. A walk on a spring day that lifts your spirits. I can't stop smelling my wrists or thinking joyful thoughts when I catch a whiff in movement.

This is my spring/summer go-to. First spray is a strong, fruity, sweet orange blossom, underscored by an earthy muskiness that comes off as French-girl sexy. It blooms in warm weather and doesn't cloy like other orange blossom scents, and it lasts and lasts on me, especially on my clothes, and I like to spray it in my hair so it wafts behind me as I walk by and say something poorly pronounced from an English-to-French travel dictionary. Most importantly, it makes me smile, and that might be the best thing a fragrance can do.

I'm surprised that many don't get orange blossom with this fragrance because for me this is a lovely orange blossom fragrance. Not a soliflore by any means but the orange blossom does stay throughout. The dance between the floral notes of rose, jasmine, tuberose and ylang with the nutmeg all work in perfect harmony to create a beautiful summer floral perfume. Inviting, refreshing while still being very heady, feminine and sensual. Can be worn year round but I think this would shine in high heat. Absolutely stunning.

Beautiful, feminine, orange blossom and a bit of spice from the nutmeg. White floral with a touch of musk, but mostly orange blossom on my skin. A birthday gift to myself from Fragrancenet (gift set with coupon for $65! includes large lotion and 3.3 oz Eau de Parfum). In the same bottle type as Iris de Champs, and I do wish that Houbigant would keep to this bottle shape and type but change the clear plastic top with a glass one. Classic yet modern, elegant yet not a soliflore. Well done, Houbigant.

The dry down on this fragrance is stunning! The beginning is quite loud and tuberose dominates on my skin big time, competing with the orange blossom for center stage. It's sort of quirky in that way, like two prima ballerinas battling it out for the spotlight. Orange blossom wins in the end, and remains well into dry down, mingling with the musk.. but if you breath on your wrist and then take a sniff.. tuberose returns to say hello again!

This is beautiful. An aromatic structured white floral veil built around bright orange blossom. The nutmeg and cedar give the florals a lifted, almost sunlit clarity. The tuberose and jasmine are polished and non‐creamy—no gardenia sourness, no humidity, no cosmetic powder. It stays cool and sophisticated. A refined orange blossom that is radiant. Its one of the most versatile Orange flower out there. I remember enjoying it last year during my holidays in hot and humid Kolkata, India . Today I am wearing it to ward off depressive drizzle in Homburg, Germany. It wraps me up in that sunny bright Orange flower touched slightly by a demure and creamy tuberose. And the drydown of musky woody notes simply vamps up the beauty of this absolutely gorgeous Orange flower.

I tried the edp and a pure parfum versions and they're both stunning, however the edp doesn't last very long on my skin (3-4 hours) which is a shame but I enjoy every minute of it and I think I will eventually buy a FB . I do recommend trying a pure parfum though , I bought my 2mls for $14 on ebay, bargain. it is heavier, more sensual and very long lasting, just breathtaking! Love, love, love!

When I was a young girl my grandfather's house had several orange trees planted beside the house, I loved to walk through the trees some with flowers others with fruit in diferent stages, and some spoiled fruit at the floor, that when stepped on give such a sweet fruit smell. Well, this perfume is all that, the flowers, and the fruit in all it's stages. It is simply wonderful.

I have a 8ml sample of this. This is a wonderful sweet very natural. It has a good balance between the orange blossom, jasmine, and tuberose. It is hard to distinguish the flowers from each other because they are combined together so well. It has a very sweet warm smell like flowers in the sun. Really nice!

I tested the extrait version- it is a deeper feeling and lasts all day with huge sillage but it's still on the elegant side. Excellent and beautifule experience. FB worthy absolute!!! If I will have lot of money I would buy all scentes of Houbigant....They are all very good....

I love this perfume. It smells happy. It's like brunch under an orange tree. It's heady, and softens into something that smells a bit like orange water used in Lebanese desserts. It's distinctly orange without being overly sweet or cloying. A great perfume for a summer day.

All lovers of realistic orange blossoms simply MUST try this. A rich, elegant, sensual floral. My bottle got "stolen" by my mother since it was just so beautiful. I believe any aged woman with elegance and feminine confidence can pull this beauty off. Beautiful.

I don't know why some have said it isn't long lasting, I applied early this morning and 8 hours later it is almost as strong as upon first application. Truly a gorgeous orange blossom fragrance and its sillage and longevity are perfection for me. Definitely fbw!

Love this. Reminds me of my first visit to Florida during orange blossom season. Warm breezy evening, creamy warm orange scent. Other stuff too, which I haven't figured out yet. Looking forward to wearing it again.

Oh I really loved this. More orange blossom than orange. Had great longevity and good sillage. Actually was quite soapy on me rather than animalic. Very pleasant and sunny all day. Wish I had a full bottle.

I absolutly love this scent, but after about a half hour it's gone. That's the shortest longevity of any perfume I've ever tried, and I tested it around 10 times! Maybe they'll come out with an "intense".

The smell of blossoms in the air on a summer evening... fresh and lovely, and just a hint of rose-scented hand soap... and it only gets better as your body heats up- Awesome potency and longevity, too-

Such a fancy way to say orange flowers. Wonderful, soft but long lasting. A lighter version of Serge Lutens Fleur d'oranger. A great daytime, romantic perfume, well worth the money.

To me this perfume smells exactly like honey. My husband loves it. Very nice.

Absolutely wonderfull! I am in love! Perfect!

Bear with me on this - I'm talking about three different perfumes, and how they all played a role in making me truly appreciate this intoxicating scent! I just upgraded this to a love. I finally have a better understanding of orange blossom, a note which I should love as I tend to adore white florals, but have had issues with as the star of any fragrance. There was always something overpowering about it that almost seemed borderline animalic and carnal for lack of better words. Lutens Fd'O has it in spades which I always attributed to the use of cumin. "Why?", I would ask myself, "Why does it have to have THAT note?". Well I finally understand why! There is a definite underlying skankyness it shares with orange blossom! I thought the cumin was the difficult note for me, but there is none in Orangers en Fleurs and I still found it difficult. I tried a spritz of 24 Faubourg EDP. and started to realize that it was the orange flower I was struggling with all the time. So why the upgrade? As luck would have it, when I purchased OeF, I found a great deal for the matching body cream. I used a dab of the cream on my arms before bed last night, and it was lovely - not too heady, but a touch exotic. I gave a spritz or two of Guerlain Cruel Gardenia - so pretty together! Anyway, I woke this morning and could still smell both pretty clearly. I was in love! Something about that combo made me want to try the EDP again, and I feel like I cracked some enigmatic code for the first time! The quality of the juice was always apparent, and I truly liked it, but now I understood it!! So now I have a new EDP love, and a cream that is a great layer not only on its own or for it's perfume match, but others as well. Now I need to patch things up with Uncle Serge - I had him read all wrong!!

Stunningly beautiful! A true orange flower dominant fragrance. Yes, I can detect the tuberose, and it is strong, but the citrus edge of the orange flower prevents it from shrieking. I like it so much more than SL Fd'O, which is far more about the tuberose in my opinion. I'm getting a little bit of funk here, which I am attributing to some indole. As it settles down, it becomes more like the SL once the cumin in that one dies down. Actually, they become very similar! I can't really see myself reaching for my Luten's bottle when I can spray this on and dive right into the goodness of the white florals. Warning though - this stuff is potent! Over spray at your own risk! I learned the hard way! Thank's for the info, Cocofluff! EDIT - it just hit me how this also has a similarity to 24 Faubourg, even more so as it dries down. WARNING: I am a notorious over-sprayer, but I can only do one spritz of this one! Anything more than that just overwhelms my senses. I purchased the body cream and I am waiting for that to see if I can use it alone when I want something more demure.

This is more of a tuberose and jasmine perfume than an orange blossom scent, and I’m happy about it. Word of caution: go light on the trigger. I discovered that as the mercury rises, this gets to be too much of a good thing. The first time I wore this it was in desert heat and I developed nasal fatigue within a few hours. I thought it was a pass but it was really about the strength of this composition in heat. Today in cooler Pacific Northwest weather, Orangers en Fleurs is much more lovely because it is not suffocating. Orangers en Fleurs has stellar performance. I’m getting an impressive 10 plus hours before turning to a skin scent. The opening is all floral, then the drydown turns up the nutmeg and musk notes. Ylang is present throughout, adding a slight tropical feeling. I like it a lot, not sure it’s a love.... yet. My husband who dislikes orange blossom, likes this scent. If I find it for a good deal, I’ll likely purchase. One last observation, Houbigant did a great job with the design of the bottle. It’s a modern vintage beauty and it feels good to hold.

This is unlike SL Fleurs d'Oranger and also unlike Fragonard's version. This perfume evolves ! The first 5 minutes is tuberose/ylang_ylang then it evolves to something beautiful and sensual, not soapy nor shampooey. I dont smell citrus but it is beautiful as it is whether you're wearing a suit, jeans with a crisp cotton poplin blouse, or a dress. Its a personality thing. If your chemistry likes florals, this is it. I think spraying it in a store and judging by the first whiff does not do it justice. Wait after 5 minutes. It is sensual. Leans feminine, for spring-summer. As it turns sensual, it is not loud nor screechy. Its very nice. And the sillage is fantastic... stays for many, many hours. Agree the drydown is so gorgeous I keep smelling my wrists. If you want to mellow down the tuberose (though to me its not that strong because it evolves ), layer with Dior's Gris for a woody angle. Well done Houbigant. I am keeping this. I bought this because end of winter is a boring time and this does the trick very well. Beautiful.

I am a huge fan of Quelques fleur and wanted to try this. I really like Jo Malone orange blossom, but it’s gone in an hour and it’s a bit linear. You get the bright opening of orange blossom here, but then the other flowers come through, yes I get jasmine, rose and ylang ylang. There is a kind of greenness to it in a soft pretty way, although it’s not listed as green. I also get a clean soapiness that is very bright, fresh and feminine, without the aldehydes. When I smell again I also detect the spiciness of nutmeg but this is very subtle. It does have a vintage feel, but this doesn’t bother me in the slightest, I love all things vintage. Probably will be better worn in spring or summer, but I would wear it anytime, I am tempted to get a full bottle... My sample arrived this morning and I sprayed the back of my hand (because I was already wearing a fragrance). I will “wear” it properly tomorrow to get the fuller picture and update if I feel the need.

A really well done classy orange blossom fragrance. Indeed it reminds me of my all time favourite Fleurs D’oranger by Lutens and thankfully does not resemble cloying and synthetic Orange Flowers by Montale. Lutems is on a darker and more oriental side. This one is lighter, airier, with a bit shorter longevity, but still a really delightful fragrance with very pronounced orange blossom notes elegantly blended with accompanying flowers. So far it’s my second favourite orange blossom after Lutens. I think they are too close to own both, but should Fleurs d’Oranger disappear from the market I’ll switch to Orangers en Fleurs without a moment’s hesitation. Husband’s (knows-nothing-about-perfume intellectual introvert, favours Terre & Vetiver Tonka by Hermes) verdict: even I can tell it’s orange blossom)) It’s quite realistic, pleasant and non intrusive.

When I first applied it, I was very pleased with the way it smelled. Soft, transparent orange blossom supported by a mix of other florals. I had seem someone complain about the animalic qualities, but on me it's actually quite soapy. When my SO smelled me, all he said at first was, "Hmm." After some nagging, he told me, "You smell like the bathroom. It's not bad, though." Glad I only got a trial size on clearance. It projects across the room during the first half hour, then recedes to less than arm's length. At that point, the scent morphs into a fleshy tuberose and ylang-ylang. There's still a hint of the top notes and an elusive whiff of nutmeg. Very nice perfume, that has the misfortune of smelling like common public bathroom hand soap.

A very lovely fresh neroli, jasmin and tuberose fragrance. I dont think the orange blossom dictates at all. The three seem equal in strength on my skin. It borders on having that soapy element but keeps smooth by the musk note. Musk is very effective at rounding otherwise potentially harsh notes. The ylang and nutmeg give an extra kick to the whole. This is not a very sweet fragrance but a smooth white flower heaven and I think could easily be unisex. It is lovely but perhaps I would feel happier with a touch more sweetness. Moderate sillage and longevity.

I have this, the Fragonard Fleur d'Oranger, the Serge Lutens Fleurs d'Oranger, and the Penhaligon Orange Blossom and I like this one the best. It has a lovely bright orange opening which warms to the orange blossom. The Fragonard smells a little too much like a bathroom cleaner, and while the SL is similar to this, it doesn't have the brightness, silage, or longevity. The Penhaligon is a close 2nd place and most similar but doesn't have the longevity; Houbigant's longevity is impressive and easily lasts all day.

Yummy. It is so similar to that wonderful aroma of orange blossoms that wafts through the air when I walk or ride my bike here in California. Almost as delicious as the honeysuckle in Memphis or the night blooming jasmine at my childhood home. If it doesn't last, or you're getting something other than an intense orange blossom from this (e.g. Some have mentioned ylang ylang, which I dislike), I would recommend spraying it on your clothing or a tissue instead of your skin.

This is so "dainty" smelling Its refreshing, innocent, and screams spring time. Its not as mature smelling as fleurs d'Oranger The tuberose in this is really lovely and strong too and i get a touch of herbal freshness from the nutmeg. Ylang, rose and musk work together to lay a soapy, traditional undertone. If you are a lover of huge spring time florals or vintage florals, i recommend you try this.

To me it's all about bitter sweet oranges, sharp in the beginning but after setting down turns into warm scent on my skin. This is the first Houbigant perfume ever in my collection and I really love it. Not for every day and not my signature one but for special mood or occasions when you want a bit of spring freshness from the garden in blossoms during cold winter day.
