Pétales de Magnolia

Lovely magnolia: young, fresh and fruity. I can feel lots of juicy green notes in it as well as some very tender fruity ones (I mostly detect pear here). It’s nice and carefree.

One of the most fresh feminine scents that you can wear it smells so good very good quality ingredients and something that men like on you

Ooooh, she's so fine. Houbigant are just so good at flowers and this is worthy to sit in glory between their iris and orange-blossom winners as a delicate, dewy, true-to-life portrait of the beauty of the bloom it's based on. The top gives it a beautiful zing of freshness, and while it's not rich or creamy, it does have a clean, clear, well-groomed aura which is hard to say no to. It's just so well put together, with the fruitiness and musk giving extra contours of interest - and thus presents itself as an intelligent, classy, "built", whole perfume rather than just a flower soliflore. Therefore, maybe for me only, Chloe's utterly crisp and pure Magnolia Alba juuuuust edges it for ecstasy, being a more minimalist and utterly spotless approach, but this is still a magnificent magnolia, and perfectly well priced for what it is. Absolutely worth your time.

This is a very uninspiring perfume by Houbigant. I get mainly pear with a bit of magnolia, but it doesn’t develop from start to end and the pear always seems to be present. I received a sample of this to test and I’m pleased I didn’t buy it.

Smells like drugstore cheapy splash. Can not beleive Houbigant made this and the price tag!!!

I blind bought this fragrance being in a magnolia mood currently. My first experience with Houbigant, and I'm pleased with the scent. It really reminds me of Frangipani from Ormonde Jayne, both have a noticeable magnolia presence, but also both have a bright fruity quality. The pear in this one is under ripe and gives a more grown up feel, in fact the perfume does feel mature with the white floral lotion texture. I don't pick up on any peppermint or coconut which is a good thing for me. There's a quality that i about put my finger on, it's both musky and fluffy and kinda outdoorsy. Like warm air blowing through a shrub or something, but also has a Mediterranean vibe. It's a lovely summer fragrance, with both a brightness from the pear and a classic and familiar prettiness from the magnolia.

The pear is very noticeable, especially initially. it is a juicy and slightly nectary pear (sweeter than carner barcelona ibiza nights and more watery and less fruity than the opening pear in valentino donna dolce acqua). You get the semse that it is sat on this growing warm bubble of a sweet but not very sweet coconut water..but less coconutty... maybe a little solar and I think this is a slightly warm magnolia coming through with the coconut blossom. This is what then stays for me...with the occasional pear wafts. It's not simply just a white floral as it really does have this sunshine quality to it. I don't get any patchouli at all, though I heard someone say they did. Projection is good and longevity pretty reasonable. I feel like this could take you through to summer.

Fruity green magnolia, sweet but not too sweet. Got a sample because I like mint but the mint is not very present. Unlike many I do get more magnolia than pear so far..

A beautiful perfume but too similar to La Belle Saison. I expected something more original from Houbigant this time.
