You don’t really smell rose at all here! It’s super fresh floral and feminine maybe one of the best fresh feminine scents ever!

Smells generic. Like some Victoria Secret perfume from the late 90s early 2000s. Disappointing since this brand is highly regarded.

Uninspiring, dry, lacks that hyper feminine essence of Quelque fleurs l'original and royale. Pass. If you love peony then Good Girl Blush or Blooming Bouquet are much prettier and versatile. Even if you want to go down that dry, understated, elegant route then Chanel Chance Eau Tendre is beautiful.

Houbigant transpires in the realms of the finest perfumery. Far and high above anything else. Out there, there's noise and various types of luxury, then there's undeniable quality and then there's the exquisite world of perfume handled with absolute finesse belonging to Haute Parfumerie and that is this house. At starting point, their creations cannot be compared to the flacons of generic Guccis or measured against, for example, the mass appealing Eau Tendre scent (as lovely and popular as it is and yes, Chanel belongs to the best). Saying that, Chanel knows what its doing and all is understood within the context. But moving back to Houbigant and Pivoine Souveraine. Pivoine Souveraine too exist in an unimitable league of its own. The opening is pink pepper laced with citruses, then, with quite confidence, the peony and white flowers enter the scene and slowly make themselves comfortable on a bed of musk, tea and sandalwood. The overall architecture is so light and smooth that if you may wear it, you must be an angelic creature from another time that doesn't walk but floats above a stunning palace garden on a soft cloud of heavenly deliciousness. Delicate, refined, serene and absolute best quality there is when searching for the one constructed around the beautiful flower of peony. Discreet scent that blooms on the skin.
