Quelques Fleurs Jardin Secret

Spring in a bottle! On me, this is a pretty blend of floral notes (all melded together so that no single flower is distinguishable from all of the others) brightened by the bergamot and mandarin, with a clean musk lingering in the base. While it is a fresh fragrance, its sillage and longevity are incredible; I sprayed it on myself yesterday, and it is still going quite strong. Highly recommended!

Starts off pretty astringent (similar to interior paint drying??) but after a few minutes dries down to a very pretty powdery creamy floral. I surprisingly really like it!

À very polite, unremarkable but well-accomplished floral with no sweetness whatsoever. It has the DNA of L'Atessa, by the same perfumer, with a greener floral element.

This is a very green secret garden - full of herbs and weeds, grasses and moss. I get a very bright citrusy opening, at once astringent but also refreshing, like a tonic. The fragrance dries down to a quiet aromatic natural scent - just like a garden left untended - a bit wild and peppery. It's nice, but not what I was expecting at all. I was expecting a lot more florals to be apparent. It's a fragrance that is very office appropriate but also good for those warm days when only citrusy aromatic fragrances will do.

An indolic citrus/floral bouquet that, on my skin, is a total mess. Smells of baby wipes for the first hour, then scented washing powder in the dry down. The big astringent opening is heady in the way that it could easily induce a headache. There’s a certain synthetic quality to the composition, particularly in the base where I assume the musks are the culprit. A feminine fragrance. Certainly not one to buy before testing. 2.5/10

Opens razor sharp and then remains an linear astringent citrus and neroli scent on my skin through and through. Like Nick1992, I also get an obvious synthetic vibe. Did not detect any powdery notes. It feels almost like a herbal room spray to me. Super weak performance. I really had high expectations but am totally disappointed.

Bright sunny perfume, full of clean(non-indolic) white florals, citruses and a huge load of clean white musk. Very simple and straightforward. The citruses fade after a few seconds of initial spray. Neroli and narcissus are big players, orris root is leaning towards the makeup powder side. Not exciting.

Received a sample of this from Nordstrom. I am a big fan of white florals. I thought I might like this woody floral. I have to admit I was impressed that this was from Houbigant because of the original Quelques Fleurs being Lady Di's wedding day perfume. So I expected great things. There is a scent in here that reminds me of my father's sweater chest - the chest where he would store his sweaters over winter so moths would not eat holes in them. It was not a mothball smell - the chest was made of cedar which is supposed to be moth repellent so I think it was a strong cedar smell. Like cedar mixed with powder. I kind of like the memory this brought to my mind. But I can't say I like the fragrance. I generally wear fragrance to uplift my mood. And I like other people to notice what I'm wearing and to have their mood uplifted as well. This is just OK for me. I don't think I would want to own a full bottle. I don't want to walk around smelling like a powdery cedar chest.

On me this smells like decorative violet soaps sitting on the tank of your great aunt's toilet. Yeah, I used those damn soaps, it was either that or take an inquisitive bite, which seemed inadvisable considering their location. I can't say I like jardin secret but I can say that it gives me a small thrill of rebellious glee. This smells like a doll snorting talcum powder whilst sitting in a plastic flower and plotting various crimes against the other toys. Is this a negative review? I actually have no idea.

Elegant and very feminine, bright, uplifting scent. Burst of citrus followed by spring flowers and musk. I would wear this with a white flowy dress for a walk in the park...

Very close to Hermès Eau de Narcisse Bleu. Same bitter / green freshness with a more powdery finish "à la Prada".
