Quelques Fleurs Royale Collection Privee

Light honey, beautifully rounded. It is not warm, raw honey, but it sure gives white florals softness, which is wonderful and very special. It reminds me a lot of Rappelle-Toi, which is gardenia-honey mix, but sharper than this one. I think I prefer Quelques Royale, because of its tendernes and soft, musky tuberose. EDIT: After two years of using it (I've actually bought this on my 30th birthday 🥰) I have to say this is one of the best perfumes from my collection. It is easy to wear, but not generic. Now, I would describe it as honey glazed citrus on a white flower bed. Very optimistic scent, bright, but musky at the same time, amazing.

Just received it today. It is beautiful. Yes it smells similar to the regular Royale perfume, but it is a bit more natural and deeper. I see some of the comments below re: it smells light and goes away fast... but it seems that this is what natural ingredients do. To me, the perfume smells naturally charming, warm and yes a little mature, but it is like a mother's embrace. As a new Mom (son is 1.5yr old), I am SO in love with this perfume. On me, it smells like rose, white flowers, honey and amber.

If 90s supermodels could be embodied by a fragrance.....this is hyperfeminine, delicate and vulnerable with the most indulgent, authentic, and sparkling honey accord, paired with soapy and slightly indolic jasmine. The performance is slightly softer than the original and they go in completely different directions. The original is aristocratic, well-behaved and pristine. The royale version is playful, flirtatious, and colorful.

I love this one so much. At first sniff I knew I had to have it. It's sweet and fresh, with a bit of skank in there, and most of all that honey note really makes it something special to me. It's the dead of winter in the PNW but I'm still gonna be wearing this because I just love it that much.

Finally got around to trying the sample that a friend sent me. This is the same exact formula as the version right before this in the upright cylinder bottle. Smells no different to me. Sprayed one wrist with this and the other with the original and they are the same from start to finish. If anything, the original is maybe, just maybe, a little richer in scent, though that could just be my imagination trying to find the difference. The only real difference is in packaging and price. This is more than double the older version - for now. With prices going up due to inflation, and only so many of the older versions available and being bought out, that might not be true for much longer.

If you have to compare it to a fragrance, you can think of it as a softer, muskier, honeyed version of Samsara (less woodiness). I pick more jasmine than tuberose. Clean, heavenly and pure. It is a soft, angelic scent, smooth like a cloud. Both nostalgic and modern. Room-filler, it's made everything I've walked through smell great, and its longevity is amazing. I love it! Quelques Fleurs Royale by Houbigant combines a sweet, honeyed bouquet of white flowers with the richness of rose. It is powdery, but this quality is balanced by a subtle dewiness. The scent includes an accord reminiscent of a softer guerlinade, but softer. Compared to Quelques Fleurs L’Original, Royale offers a different scent profile: where L’Original is clean and radiant, Royale is dustier, and more decadent.

This is such a beautiful sweet floral! I also have L’Original, which is radiant and clean, with a slight vintage vibe. Royale is richer and sweeter, quite different scent profiles. The only thing is, my skin picks up and intensifies honey, so this becomes overly sweet for me... Gorgeous on paper anf clothes though. Selling a full bottle in Europe if anyone is interested.

Day 3 of comparing the six miniature versions of Houbigant’s Collection Privée to find out which of them will tempt me to buy a full bottle. I tested the Quelques Fleurs Original first (rejected) and the Quelques Fleurs Jardin Secret second (a good contender so far). The Royale version of Quelques Fleurs is disappointingly weak. I am shocked that this is billed as a “privée”, when it behaves on me as an EDC or at best an EDT. I had to reapply it several times, and it barely registers on my scent blotter strip. Maybe my sample is faulty. The fragrance is pleasant but perhaps a little too sweet for my taste. I get a lot of honey and violets, and it’s a nice daytime scent for winter, but it’s not going to make it onto my shortlist.

Intensely creamy and diffusive tuberose-tinted jasmine with a hint of tutti-fruitti (stops just short of bubblegum territory). Remarkably long lasting without any aggressive musky basenote aromas... I can still smell it a day later, which is wild. On clothes, I can imagine it lasting weeks. High femme not femme fatale. I wanna wear this with my most masculine outfits, just for fun. Of course I bought it the day after I tested.
