Quelques Fleurs Royale

Got this on the mail today; so glad, after waiting for three weeks!! Ripped the cellofan open and tried it on before I even put the water in the boiler for coffee, when I came home from the post office. And I just say: soo beautiful. Yes, I smell the honey. And it is like lotion, like cream, like powder puff alright, and it is like a florist shop with flowers and greens, and like a cafe’. And it looks like the 60’s, and it smells like the 60’s, like Audrey and Gina and Sophia and all these very feminine characters of that time. Like a memory from my childhood. I almost feel like it is a little minty at the top, and almonds and black currants and blackberries, very vaguely, but there are no such notes, that I can see. But it is my feeling. I would not wear this for a blind date - since I would not risque to make the wrong man fall in love with me! But for a man that I already like - oh yes... Too beautiful for every day wear... Love, love, love! This will be one of my very favourites, for sure. Edit; the next day: The only downside with this, is that it does not last very long - at least on me. My hope is, that maybe it will project more, and stay for longer, when the weather gets warmer, and my skin is not so dry?? Edit no 2; a couple of days later... I will have to change my mind about this completely, I’m afraid - it is just way too weak. And I have found that for my taste it is too fruity, too sweet. Yes, it is still nice, but not all that special that I will save it for certain occasions. I like it, but it is not a Love after all. Either I will use it up as a lighter inoffensive option, or I will give it to my young daughter-in-law. It is still beautiful, but I certainly want to smell a fragrance on myself! Luckily, I had it for a very good price, but too expensive for almost nothing..!

I absolutely adore the L'Original Quelques fleurs (Princess Dianna wore on her wedding day) so when I saw this other Perfume by the same Perfume House Houbigant,I thought I would give it a try too,& I sure haven't been disappointed!! Quelques Fleurs Royal reminds me very much of the discontinued "Cerutti Image" which on my skin was a very soft citrus kindA smell!! Well Quelques Fleurs Royal certainly starts of the very sameway,& then the most rich honey smell enters into it,then the next thing you know a melody of the most exquisite Rose's followed by white Jasmine Flowers,with the most beautiful powdery dry down which is totally gorgeous!! I have literally just received a bottle of this for my Birthday on Monday,& decided to try it out for the first time last night going out to Dinner with family & friend's!! & I'm not joking you when I say the compliments where rolling in,& I Was asked no less than eight times "What's That Really Beautiful Perfume your wearing Paulie"?? Even a stranger (lady in the Restaurant Toilet) said "gosh That's really lovely Perfume your wearing love" & she asked me if there was Violets in it!! She then asked me the name/spelling of it!! In NOWAY does this Perfume smell like Urine on my skin as other's have mentioned!! The Citrus & Honey really take the centre stage in this beauty,& I can honestly say I deffo have'nt anything like it in my vast Perfume Collection!! In A Word,I deffo will be buying this Perfume again as It's simply stunning!! & yes Houbigant really does make the most beautiful Perfumes without a doubt!! Xx

Not sure how to define it. Its not quiet- its fresh, grapefruit is on the first plan. I can smell honeu as well and something sweet with sbitter grapefruit - complete original formula. Very femine scent. One of the perfumes I will never forget about. And here my update initially I have wrote my review June 7th. today is 6/16 and I have something to share. On June 7th I have tested it in Sacks 5th Ave and I was in heaven. Next two days I went to Nieman Marcus and I have got it from them. I was wearing...but I felt something is weird. Here is the think yesterday I went for my La Mer to Sacks. And I went to lady to show her my bottle and thank her for intoduce. I have tested both and Sacks have better formualtion. When I have opened mine it was nice- it goes well in warm days like even 90 F- blends well and beauty coming out. The one from Sacks its more huicy and I am sure I feel grapefruit and when I have sprayed 30 min after the one form Neiman is gone. The one from sacks have stayed over night and thats the formula I am in love. The way it dry down and all it contains. Apparently I cant return it to Nieman Marcus and I have to deasl with it. But I wont purchase my fragrances in Nieman anymore. I will tell you Cartier Must and must Gold smells bad in Nieman as well. much better is in Sacks... maybe they change testers more often, because they do smell better in Sacks. 7/11 update I coudn't resist - I have got the version in Sacks and I love it a lot! Beautiful as my first review on it.

After looking online to purchase a bottle of the original QF for my mother, I stumbled upon this and several other flankers. I was intrigued, and immediately looked it up on Fragrantica. I decided to purchase it as a blind buy. It was available at FragranceX for an amazing price. Never ordered from there before, so I hope the bottle I received today is genuine - I have no reason to think it isn't based upon the appearance. Anyway, I immediately sprayed it on and I am swooning. I just love it. I have a bit of a stuffy nose today so it is difficult to really break it down and identify the notes, but I can smell enough to know it is incredibly well blended, deliciously floral, and as close to floral perfection as I have ever encountered. The pink color of the juice suits it well because it is so feminine and womanly. Sublime! Update - I reached for this today after not wearing her for many months. So much more powerful than when I wore her in early autumn. I tend to have anosmic episodes, and since I tend to wear heavier, florientals in the autumn and winter, the honey and beautiful bouquet are just what I needed and working wonders on my skin. I definitely overstayed but at present I am by myself, and I don't mind at all. As much as I loved her when I first tried her, she has shot way up on my list of loves - certainly top 15 if not 10! As much as I do love the original, this flanker just seems to suit me better. This is a perfume that will always belong in my collection.

Call me old lady with lilac hair if you want! This is a GORGEOUS fragrance! Houbigant makes elegant, sophisticated scents. Period. This is a very difficult scent for me to describe, pardon me if I butcher this fragrance: But to my nose this has the warmth of honey, a lovely grapefruit note and also there are aspects of Amarige by Givenchy in the opening, and a hint of Coco Mademoiselle and Tresor by Lancome in the heart. All the while, it still has it's own identity and the dry-down smells like... like Quelques Fleurs Royal :) Plus it lasts forever on clothes. The dry down takes FOREVER. This is excellent quality perfumery! I can see my skin glistening even 30 minutes after spaying. I think this may be the product of having actual honey and/or beeswax. Perhaps part of the reason Houbigant's fragrances don't get enough recognition among niche consumers is because of their packaging, they not only look dated, they also are inconsistent: they have different bottles for every type of scent, how can they build brand recognition that way? They should either go for their lovely retro 1900's style bottles (i.e: Iris de Champs), or move toward plain packaging, which is more popular among niche perfumers like Frederic Malle or Serge Lutens. Houbigant are you listening? I want you to stay in business! Only Guerlain can get away with hodgepodge packaging, and even they are currently struggling to reach a younger clientele!

I have been wearing this quite a bit, in a city where summers are not so aggressive. However, I went to a yoga class on a hot summer evening... The heat, the sweat... and Quelques Fleurs Royale started to bloom, and then it became VERY VERY sweet. (I had sprayed it approx. 6 hours prior... so either way, this is a testament to it's longevity). To Nataly17: I understand your comment. I am not very much into sweet gourmand scents, although I do own some and I also enjoy honey tones very much. The reaction of this fragrance in the heat, was to me, a welcome surprise. I thought: "Great! Another facet of Quelques Fleurs Royale -even if inappropriate for a yoga studio-". My advice: Take weather into consideration when spraying: Those of you who like sweet fragrances, but find some of them become cloying in the summer, may find a great alternative in this fragrance. Those of you who preffer floral notes with a honey undertone are better served by wearing this during summer nights, or under ac, spring, etc. Either way: all I can say is, I have been wearing this fragrance quite a bit since April. I have been traveling a lot for work, and this is one of 4 fragrances that came with me, and the one I have been reaching for with most frequency. The more I wear it, the more I like it! So there you have it, this is my update. You'll find my original review 3 or 4 entries down.

Received today, first impressions are.....I relally don't like the opening, but I am patient enough to wait for that to dissipate. Just 3 sprays is enough , I absolutely love Quelques Fleur L'Original, and I loved it from the very first spray, and I just thought that I would instantly love this too but Royale is very different. I think given time I will come to love and appreciate it, but getting over that first initial spray got me thinking 'do I really like this'? I certainly don't DISLIKE it, but I wish it had been instant love like the orignal. Half an hour after that initial spray is very very nice, and powdery, but still not a love. I will come back to update on it once I have given it a fair trial. I'm not sure if it's the honey I am not keen of, or the citrus opening, I really don't like citrus in perfumes but I read that in this, it wasn't in-your-face and just enough to freshen the florals. Time will tell. UPDATE: Still not loving this, and this will probably be put on Ebay as I have a large collection, and have no room for just 'Likes', and I'm afraid that this is all it will ever be. Yes I have got used to the opening, and I patiently wait and still enjoy the drydown, and on me it lasts 6 hours, and I have plenty of perfumes that I love, without trying to make room for this one.

It's always nice to run across a scent that has been occupying space in your collection but has been neglected for quite some time for no good reason. Such is the case with QFR. It's a elegant French floral, composed with the usual brilliance of Houbigant. The price on line has exploded since I first purchased this, though I have no intention of selling. While it definitely would be categorized as a mature scent by many wearers, there is a classic aspect that makes it wearable for most ages provided you have the restraint and confidence to wear it correctly. I've grown to appreciate this and many other of my older acquisitions on a much deeper level as my fragrance journey continues. This is what artistry and quality smell like. Technically a flanker, but worthy of it's own standing as opposed to the being driven by the market in an attempt to see what sells and what sells quickly. A bit on the sweet side from the mimosa honey, spray lightly at first, as I can see it coming off as cloying and headache-inducing in some. Blissfully that's not the case for me!

I love this fragrance. It was a blind buy and I wasn't sure I was enjoying it until thirty minutes in when the notes unfolded. I admit my knowledge of notes is basic - I enjoy a scent and sometimes, when I get deeply curious about a particular fragrance, I read up on the notes to figure out what I like. I'm guessing it's the honey I love. Of course, in combination with the rest of the blend, but that honey warms up on my skin and radiates its milky floral sweetness. Like it wasn't just pure flowers bees had fed on but a milk splashed, sun-blazed garden in bloom. Because of all the sun vibes I was getting, I was shocked that on a recent hot Mediterranean vacation, all this magic was not only lost, but spoilt to the point of scrubbing. Sharp grapefruit and burnt honey. Back home in the Northern Hemisphere, where summer temperatures rarely exceed twenty-five degrees Celsius, Quelques Fleurs Royal still shines.

Honey and powder on a bed of soft florals. Very pretty, understated, classic and appropriate for most occasions. Clean without being citrus or green heavy. Not nearly as strong as the original (1980s formulations and forward) Quelques Fleurs (which I love) and not really a flanker. She is her own creation. Today it is 18c with about 70% humidity and it took roughly 20 minutes to really bloom on my skin. I'm not getting as much amber as some of the other reviewers. Usually I don't enjoy tuberose with my skin chemistry, but this is so well blended that it is not a specifically detectable note, but plays a quiet supporting role to round out the other florals. Unique enough for a daytime signature scent. Uncommon enough that you may want to test first instead of blind buying. If you like honey forward scents, this is for you.

I agree with someone here who basically said that the opening leaves something to be desired. It was unique in a I-don’t-know-if-I’ll-ever-like-that kind of opening. But as it settled and dried down, it’s still unique but it’s turned into something more pleasant, mellow and powdery. Pleasant enough that it’s earned a place on my vanity table. There’s nothing like it that I own. I’m not good at detecting individual notes yet (I have to read about them before I can rack my brain for the smell), but the honey is the prominent note. I think that’s what’s giving it a unique vibe as I don’t own many scents that may have honey in it, not that I know of at least. I’m not at all disappointed, not over the moon either. That’s not a bad thing, imo, because I can expose my nose and open my mind to different scents.

This is so beautiful... I really don't have words to describe it, it is fresh but heavy at the same time, but heavy in a very good way. It's thick and intoxicating, especially love the dry down. For me it's different then anything I have, had or I tried. Strong and very long lasting, may be the longest lasting so far. I wore it at work one day and at the end of the day I could still smell it strong. I trow that shirt in my laundry basket and two days later when I was ready to do laundry, I couldn't believe, this stuff is awesome. Love it, becoming one of my favorites !!! Edit : I wore it for few times now, I am in love with this one, unfortunately I only have a decant of it and I really want it. If anybody is willing to swap or sell, let me know please :)

It's a beautiful honeyed floral, slightly gourmand and as sherapop mentioned, it has a fruity vibe to it as well which is almost edible (must be the bergamot and tuberose). It reminds me a bit of Molinard Nirmala and the more recent Mugler's Innocent, but this one is sexier, dirtier and more animalistic than both - the indolic jasmine and sensual musk bathed in delicious honey form a striking olfactive trio. Quelques Fleurs Royale is slightly savory, slightly oriental, slightly citrusy and very feminine - it's a bit of everything and the balance it holds makes it a very versatile and wearable scent. It's an all-season, any-time-of -day kind of perfume that can easily end up as a signature scent for a very soft, feminine lady.

I've got a sample of this perfume and, surprisingly, it's an instant love for me! Now I'm not a big fan of delicate, feminine florals, I can like some of them but many of those tend to smell quite generic to me... However, this is way different. Honey in combination with rose and tuberose make this perfume a beautiful creation with delicate sweetness and some light fruity notes that are in no way generic or boring. It's truly lovely, the honey note does so much for this. The scent actually reminds me of my mom's personality, even though my mom has never worn this. It's sweet, caring, tender, motherly and humble, quite elegant, too. My mom loves spring and this is definitely the best smelling spring in a bottle. :)

I finally pulled the trigger when I found out this may be discontinued. Fragrencenet was selling this for around $42 plus change a few months back, but now it’s gone. Decided to look around and I found an eBay seller with the 50 ml size selling for $30. If you love this, better buy a back up bottle today rather than wear a sad face tomorrow. Edit: new bottle purchase just arrived from an eBay seller and it’s better than I remember. Perfect for a mild winter Pacific Northwest day. Just two sprays, one of my wrist, the other on my neck; wow. Also I believe this was repackaged recently, and the older stock with the original packaging can be found for a steal on eBay. I don’t think the actual perfume is going away.

Beautiful aristocratic scent with dirty vibe. Lady with very interesting history of adventures. I do love Original version, for its pure innocent meadow-like honey. In "Royale" honey is naughty, blended with sensual tuberose and musk - on a dangerous side. Sweet smile of a shark from a high society. Many people noticed "pee" sort of trace - well, just like in many honey-loaded scents - the choice is yours, after all, only you can know your chemistry and how honey turns out on your skin. As for myself, I do notice slight animalic dangerous, maybe too intimate undertone, which straight away blends into the harmony of best among Houbigant house creatures, - refined flowers on polished base, dainty and rarefied.

i just got a tester of this little lovely today and from all your reviews I was looking every day to see if I got it...can I say that the hype is real, this perfume is gorgeous! I absolutely swoon over it! I am not very good at picking out notes but I do get the honey which I usually hate but this honey is like a honey comb surrounded in a flower garden of roses. I can't say enough, Ive been saturating myself in it since I got it and I love the fact that this is a quality perfume, really. This little precious lasts for hours which on my dry skin is like a miracle. I love you Quelques Fleurs Royale! XOXO...Mua!!!

A bit powdery and a whole lotta feminine. Considering this is already 15 years old, and knowing the brand, I expected this to smell dated. Instead it’s timeless. I pick up a floral gourmand feeling in the drydown. Like I’m eating waffles and drinking a citrus cocktail in a beautiful garden. I’m going to attribute that to the honey note, it’s soft but persistent. Quelques Fleurs Royale is well blended, nothing feels out of place, and comes with good performance. I would not hesitate to pick this up and can imagine I would love wearing it. Houbigant’s flanker is more interesting than the one that inspired it.

This is one of my favorite fragrances, however, it's got me a little puzzled. It smells completely different when sprayed versus daubed. Spraying, I smell honey and very warm white flowers. Daubing, I smell rose and jasmine, which are some of my favorite notes and what I was hoping this perfume would smell like. The dry down is honeyed rose, but still less sweet than what I get by spraying. Either way it's a beautiful, classy scent, but I wish I could get the same notes spraying than daubing as the latter tends to be potentially messier!

This fragrance is a BEAST! One spray on the back of your neck and you will smell it for the rest of the day. The scent is very comforting and nostalgic to me (like I've smelled it before when I was a little kid). Classy and timeless, honey sweet powdered pink bouquet with soft woody base similar to that of Venezia/ Samsara. Perfect for everyday and all-year-round use. Definitely a signature scent material! I am only 25 but seriously love it! GREETINGS FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC! :-)

At first I couldn't tell if I liked it or not. The middle notes seemed a little too sweety-honey-vanilly to me. But! The very next day, the clean-soapy-powdery dry-down I found on my previous day clothes, was overwhealmingly pleasant, in a classy, discreet, lady-like way. On short: loved it, bought it, couldn't part from it eversince! PS- I find that layering it on clothes works much better for my taste than wearing it directly on skin.

No less pretty than the original but much more amber heft to it for me. I found this a bit more chunky and substantial than the original, the honied nature giving a kind of patchouli, chocolate note as well as smooth orris and gentle florals. It's very classy, grown up, feminine and hugely enjoyable for me on this spring day in a different way to the original, even though this has 'more' it's less complex, and still a lovely thing.

wow, as soon as i sprayed this, it was instantly nostalgic. i swear i've smelled this or something like it years ago. it starts off with a honeyed rose with some orris root. then i get citruses and light woods, followed by more florals but they aren't distinct to me, except for the rose. later on the jasmine is more apparent, but i cannot sense tuberose. it's a powdery honeyed rose for the most part.

Oh what a find this is! Without looking at the notes, I get delightful light pink flowers with honey-cream sauce drizzled on top. Powdery beauty with a distinct lipstick accord. Longevity is remarkable; at least 5 hours and counting. Projects minimally so one has to get close to be rewarded with its aroma. Guaranteed to smell different than anybody else and absolutely full bottle worthy for me!

although there are no mint notes in this, the opening smelled almost exactly like my favorite mint citron lemonade ! i usually avoid florals but something about this one smells so soft, i wouldn't say it's very grandma-esque at all! i'm getting a very sweet and lovely jasmine :) this is definitely a scent that will make you feel pretty and feminine like the other reviews mention!

This perfume is beautiful both the bottle and the scent! To me, this smells sweet, powdery and floral. Perfect to wear at garden parties, weddings and if you just want to smell really feminine. It is a good scent for the fall and spring months but it may be too sweet for the summer. I have the travel spray version and I got a full size bottle because I love it so much!

Stylish and pretty. Old school flowers in a modern arrangement, stunning. White and pink flowers, warm honeyed citrus, creamy orris and santal. Original has lots of aldehydes and is very loud, this one is much more wearable and less standoffish. I can also see the comparison with Samsara, they do have the same lovely vibe of sweet flowers. I adore both.

I absolutely love this scent especially when applied with a dauber as opposed to sprayed. I got a bottle of Quelques Fleurs Royale in a swap, only about an ounce left. I decanted the rest of the juice into a beautiful crystal perfume bottle with dauber... now I can sit at the boudoir and run this beauty all over my skin like a fancy lady!

One of my favourite honey note fragrances. Very warm, rich, and smooth...extremely rounded composition, no rough edges or sharp angles that stand out. I don't find it overly sweet ,just the right amount of sweetness amidst the floral bouquet. Lasts for a long time with a great sillage, but not as powerful as the original.

Oh I wish I could wear this:such a beautiful,honeyed floral.I love the bottle and the box is so pretty.Unfortunately I sneezed as soon as I took the cap off and it only got worse once I sprayed it.I gifted it to someone else in the end..so disappointing.It is a gorgeous fragrance and you are lucky if you can wear it.Sigh.

So pretty,but more sweet and modern than I was expecting. The honey/ amber note comes across as mild vanilla to my nose. Very well blended. Total" nymph frolicking in a dewey meadow* imagery. Shes wearing petals and eating nectar. Not too green Id like to compare this to the original someday. Wonderful color too. Love!

Lovely indeed. Not intensely sweet or overbearing the way many honey based fragrances can be - more like honey comb, as another reviewer has noted. The opening sparkles with grapefruit, and then the sweeter floral notes and bees wax take over. Just as a side note, I think it layers gorgeously with Jovan Intense Oud!

For me this is nostalgia in a bottle. I can’t narrow down which note it is that makes me feel this way but I reminds me of something which warms me from my past. It’s like a floral hug from your grandmother. It’s airy and light - no heavy memories here. The only downside is that this fragrance has a short longevity.

I liked the tester at first and I now love it and have just bought a full size bottle at a very good price. It is beautifully blended and full of soft fragrant honey. I find it is very soothing if I’m feeling stressed. I know some think it’s old fashioned and perhaps it is, but I regard it as a classic.

I am simply speechless about this one...my nose is in total bliss from its beauty. This os one of the few perfumes that I would willingly pay the full price for without chasing bargains. I think the fans of classics like Cassini, Apercu,Jardines de Bagatelle will truly enjoy it.

This perfume is very cozy and festive. It seems to be created for summer concerts and tea parties in the garden. A fresh luxurious bouquet of flowers, from which honey nectar is about to flow.

Gorgeous, long-lasting fragrance but much too "dressed up" for my relaxed tastes. Have a partial bottle or 10ml decants to swap if anyone has Hermes Dans un Jardin Sur le Toit.

Sweet and floral, very comforting and soft. A bit expensive but in my honest opinion worth the money! Nice and elegant, very delicious and fragrant.

An extremely feminine perfume, powdery, floral, elegant in a light way. I consider it one of the best I ever had.

Thank you Bubbles1964 for the heads up. I got the same deal. I love it. It is a really beautiful fragrance. Yesterday, I tried Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique Essence de Parfum and while I thought it was beautiful, it was sooooo sweet that it started to annoy me. The sweetness became cloying, and with the addition of ginger, actually came off hot and spicy to me. The white florals were lovely in it though. As soon as I sprayed Quelques Fleurs Royale on that same exact scent hit me, except it lacked the excessive sweetness and heat that was in Classique Essence de Parfum, despite having honey listed in the notes. I can see why so many love Classique as the florals, in particular, the orange blossom is wonderful; but for me Quelques Fleurs Royale is better balanced. Though not listed in the notes, I think Royale has to have orange blossom in it too. That is the first floral I smelled after the light citrus opening. Tuberose is also listed, but while I could only smell it lightly, there is no doubt it contributed to giving more heft and Oomph to this scent. A note on the citrus. I usually have a difficult time with fragrances featuring grapefruit, but here it's very subtle and gives a little zing that brightens the composition. While slightly sweet, the honey is not overwhelming in Royale. The honey is lightly done and just accentuates the natural sweetness of the blooms. The dry down is very soft and slightly powdery from the musk and orris, and the sandalwood creamy. Overall, I think Royale is a really lovely, slightly spicy, slightly sweet white floral that has perfect non-aggressive silage that I could smell throughout the day. That also speaks to its longevity. I also love the packaging and the velvet box the perfume came in. Gives the whole experience a nice, elegant touch. I'm really happy I added this to my collection.

The Royale flanker is nothing like the original so if you like the original and are looking for a variation or a new spin on that one don't buy Royale. I owned the original years ago, it was a mini, I used it all but never felt the need to repurchase. I found it to be a bit aloof in its character. Now if you like honey floral perfumes Royale is the perfume for you. This is A HONEY BOMB! When it starts off you get a hint of grapefruit and bergamot but right after your nose is greeted by an overload of the sweetest almost toothache sweet pure candy like white honey. As the perfume develops it becomes powdery w/ shampoo like florals coming through. This could be very cloying if over sprayed, go easy w/ this and it will be very lovely. Again, it has a honey/floral shampoo quality but that isn't a bad thing. I like shampoo scents if they smell like a shampoo, I would want to wash my hair in. This also reminds me a bit of many of the perfumes I purchase from the All natural house Gather, she uses a lot of honey in her bases and this is essentially a honey dominate perfume. Some more thoughts this is giving me a bit of Hiram Green Slowdive vibes. Not a dupe, don't get me wrong but both perfumes are very sweet, have a powdery feminine smell and are both very honey dominate. Hiram's Tobacco flower is very different and give a niche quality to his fragrance and Royale goes more the traditional route using classic florals. It would actually be kind of nice to own both and compare them side by side. Slowdive leans a bit unisex but Royale is very feminine.

Lets face it. When it comes to honey in perfume Quelques Fleurs Royale does it to perfection. This is just the most perfectly beautiful warm honey floral with a drydown that is simply to die for. 'Classy' I believe is the word that comes to mind. A modern take on a vintage classic. Still has a vintage vibe to it which sets it apart from the watered down generic modern day perfume, but it still translates perfectly to the current generation and does not deviate too far from the norm. It is very relatable and likeble while holding on to that special something. Longevity and sillage are amazing to say the least. This would be the perfect signature scent for those women who like to set themselves apart from the rest (which lets be honest, who doesn't?), as this is a well hidden gem. Makes you feel like you share a special little secret with a few chosen ones. Oh, and the packaging (which I rarely mention or even care about.,,normally). Well QFR's packaging deserves to be mentioned, as it is so beautifully retro! And that gorgeous velvety soft box anyone? O.M.G. .

This beauty has a tendency to surprise my nose with every wear. It embodies what I expect a pretty perfume to smell like. It's classic, feminine and sophisticated and very much the direction I hoped my perfume journey would take me in. Others have mentioned it's nothing special but to a degree it is to me. It is a delicate dose of notes I enjoy: honeyed rose, white florals, zingy citrus and cozy musk and sandalwood. This is a rosey, magical, powdery goodness that fits my persona. This leans mature- not in an "old lady" sense but in a pulled-together & comfortable in your own skin kind of way. I really enjoy this!

This is a nice fragrance, that opens majestic (i have an initial medicinal blast as if it were oud but there isn't any it seems) just to reveal a honey- freesia accord that last some time. This is a sweet, powdery scent. After this development, you get a clean powdery musk that last forever with very little projection... indeed it transforms into a lovely skin scent. Not absolutely unique/original nor bombastic like its older sibling, with whom it shares the same bottle and a few notes ( Quelques Fleurs l'original), but still a valuable, quality fragrance.

Lovely, elegant, sophisticated floral that smells really clean and fresh to me, something I was not expecting. It's pretty and feminine, and mature, but I would not dare say "old lady" or "granny." My grandmothers never smelled old-ladyish, and my mother, who is a grandma herself, has always worn very modern fragrances so I really hate the associations. But I digress! This may not smell super modern, but it smells timeless and classic to me. This is a scent to smell and feel ladylike, pretty, and put-together.

This is quite a nice floral perfume. I have to agree it is mostly all about honey, tubrose and rose. It is all-out vintage style. Exquisite, high class feminine perfume. I thank the wonderful person who sent me a sample in a recent ebay purchase...it has been a real treat today! I really love this velvety powdery floral and look forward to purchasing a bottle come spring.;) And I do get that faint lipstick note that just makes this heavenly;)

Similar to Guerlain l' instant, realy feminine, the white mimosa honey and orris root are comforting.

Ok, let's all just settle down. This is a pleasant, inoffensive lightly honeyed floral that smells like a nice linen closet when the sheets were dried in the sun. It is nothing to get worked up over. I have a bottle that I'm trying to sell. If it doesn't sell, I won't mind keeping it, but it is also just not exciting. It's not even a "dumb reach" - it's so inoffensive as to be, quite frankly, boring.
