AGUA DE SANTOS

This was blissful nostalgia at first spray. I was instantly transported to my childhood, visiting my abuelos. They always had a bottle of 4711 and different aguas de colonias in their bathroom. I would splash it on my hands and bury my nose in it. Also reminded me of sitting with my tata (abuelo) in his backyard garden while he told stories as he worked with his plants: kumquats, persimmons, lemons, and various florals. He was my favorite person on the planet. I am not an aquatic perfume girlie. Most of my perfumes are resinous and woody but this is so special and beautiful. The citrus opening with lavender is so bright and then it turns into a fresh and clean marine with a touch of woods. It’s sacred childhood memory plus a modern sophistication. I am just in love. I’m bummed about the price point and the recent price increase and I’ve read about problems with customer service and bottle quality. I didn’t have any of those issues as I bought it at a local niche boutique with lovely customer service. I will try and stretch this bottle out but I think this may be a forever scent for me because it connects me to my family and culture in a way that only scent can.

Looove this one! It is very underated (I only heard about 2-3 other perfumes of this house and not this one). It should be raved about so much more. Amazing citruses, amazing neroli. Very fresh and aromatic yet still managed to be feminine. My issue with neroli sometimes is that it leans a bit masculine. This perfume manages to pull it off so classy, delicately, femininely. I absolutely adore this fragrance. Makes me feel like a took a fancy shower after an aromatic massage/ spa session. This perfume is very revitalizing :)

The scent bubble is where the magic is with Agua. It's intoxicating and lights up a part of my brain that just loves it! It's sparkling, shining. My boyfriend wears this and I keep wanting to smell it more and more. It's fresh and interesting. The combination of notes creates something so very different. It's lean more woody on my guy but the neorli becomes softer on me. The scent bubble on him is unreal. I just love it.

This is a great rainy day scent, I get a strong splash of lime for about 15 mins then it settles into a strong neroli with a hint of kumquat intertwined in a clean pile of freshly chopped wood. This reminds me of it raining on a pile of freshly chopped wood while you sit on the pile and drink a limeade. 10 out of 10, my favorite from the house.

This is a clean aquatic scent. I was worried it would be too masculine, but it is exactly for everyone. This is much lighter than the other HOB fragrances I have owned. It could easily fit right into the Liis line. It’s watery, citrusy and the florals are not cloying, like in some white floral scents. I’m in love! And the deep blue cap is 😍

I liked this. It has a sharp citrus opening, but settles to something warmer. Solid choice if you like citrus. If anyone is selling this, I would love to buy it from you.

Unique citrus scent for first hour. Then softens to citrus, floral, laundry. Unisex but leans feminine. Gone by hour 6.

Top Notes: Lima Mexicana, Sweet Kumquat, Lavender Heart Notes: Neroli Oil, Orange Blossom, Thyme Base Notes: Vetiver, Cedarwood, Angelica Musk Neroli and lime immediately (Fragrantica’s notes are incorrect). Green, bright, and clean. Then it becomes more sweet, and a bit musky with lavender. But that’s really it - citrusy lavender scented dryer sheets. BUT 24hrs later it smelled amazing on the top I was wearing. So much that I changed my vote from ok to like. Craaaazy price tag.

Agua de Santos is a clean, polished scent that wears very smoothly on my skin. The opening is fresh and easy, but the dry down is where it really shines for me, becoming softer and more skin-like. It doesn’t overwhelm and feels quietly put together. Not an instant wow, but a very refined and comfortable wear.

Reminds me of Neroli Portafino with a touch of fizzy lime note. Also some similarity to DG Light Blue with lime.

Beautiful, fresh opening. Marine, light blue aquatic. Beach vibes. Unfortunately, then comes the lavender. And the scent becomes almost indistinct from so many other citric freshies. Bottle the opening! Wish they'd opted for something less standard than lavender here. Beautiful, wet vetiver in the base. Need more of that. I just don't like lavender. So...meh. But objectively good. Beautiful nuance. Harmonic and subtle. Just doesn't smell great unless you get up close. You also have to see passed the lavender, or enjoy it.

Very detergenty, but not in a Clean Reserve way. Harsh and loud.

Honestly this perfume and house is terrible. Most of their online hype is from paid influencers. I ordered from them and the bottle arrived busted. They ignored all my customer service emails and wouldn't post my review showing the bottle defects. They really treated me like dirt, which is crazy for the price point. So go for it you want to risk $400 on a perfume whose reviews are totally faked.

When I first smelled this I liked it, but it reminded me of something I couldn't put my finger on. Then I saw a youtube review where the creator compared this to Acqua Della Regina by Santa Maria Novella.....a fragrance I use to own and eventually sold. But in Acqua Della Regina's defense, it smelled good as well, but I just never reached for it.

If you grew up with those fruit scented markers that’s what this makes me think of. Couldn’t tell you which one, but it’s just kind of a synthetic fruity smell. It does fade to more of a clean neroli. Probably not worth the HoB price tag. My bottle also has some quality issues that I’ve seen others experience.

Starts off as a beautiful aromatic and citrus combo, then quickly turns into Chanel Chance, which I love but already have. I will definitely use my sample and then see what happens.

Man I hated this. It was such a scrubber. There was some sort of gross marine scum quality to it that truly made me want to vomit.
