Wow, I have absolutely fallen in love with this fragrance. I’m so surprised that I like general mineral notes, although I know in the past, I’ve been picky about them. The mineral note in this reminds me of the chrome accord in frozen flame by Hawthorne, which I do enjoy as well. The mineral accord brings this really crisp smooth fresh quality to the tea note that I didn’t expect, and honestly, I never know what to expect with mineral notes, but lately I’ve been really pleasantly surprised. I’m a sucker for tea notes so this is no surprise that I love this. I mean this is already so unique already, I literally said “Oooh!” out loud when I smelled it!! Labdanum has always come off smooth and subtle to me and it only further enhances how the mineral accord and tea notes present together. As this fragrance develops, the mineral note has stayed strong with the tea note taking a backseat. I was hoping to smell more of a pronounced fig in the middle, but I now realize I smelled it with the tea at the top. The dry down is predominantly suede to me. Which is very cool with the mineral accord in the background. The base notes introduce themselves subtly, the tobacco is just a whisper. As the base notes come through, the vanilla and tobacco get richer, as if you're smelling the sweetest, most vanilla scented cigar. It's super deep and rich. It's the type of smokey vanilla that's intoxicating. I’m really loving how unique this fragrance is. This is perfectly unisex, I can see a man wearing this for any occasion. If a woman were to wear this, she’s the hot cool girl at a bar. As cool as I think this fragrance is I can’t justify the price tag for even a 1.7oz... I’ll have to just admire my samples

A stunner! Smells rich, fresh, elegant, for a real MAN who is focused on success. A leader, independent, decided, productive man. A man who is educated, who has his own personality, one who doesn't over do on his looks. A keeper, sober and faithful man. Casa blanca and Ani Nishane are the only two perfumes I suggest to men because of their authenticity in their Identity. They are the most clean and elegant. Their blend is the best. They are very organic too. Usually male perfumes that we find at the shops are annoying in every way, to the smell, they smell cheap and way too simple. They leave me thinking as if they were in a fight trying to copy each other. I think I've tried the whole collection of Creed, Tom Ford, some of Mancera/Montale, Chanel, Dior. Nothing is pleasing to the smell like Casa Blanca and Ani. Casa Blanca has my favorite olfactory notes. Fresh tobacco (not smoky). Perfect amount of tobacco and leather (they are subtle and organic). Not synthetic at all. I just wish it was more intense and that I could feel all the notes always together. The freshness from the beginning kinda leaves and the wood comes to the top in the end. Also, I wish that the vanilla is less perceived. I personally feel like vanilla should be used very little in perfumery. If I had to give you an idea. It feels like the finest aftershave with a bunch of elegance. It portrays a man who have showered and shaved and brushed his mouth and is polished from head to toe after breakfast. Nothings disturbs him. Wears elegant suits in dark colors and bright shirts. His accesories are dark brown leather. OMG! I love it

is one of those rare perfumes that doesn’t just sit on the skin; it transports me. From the first spray, it rises in a warm, golden sweetness that feels more like sunlight on ancient stone than anything sugary. This fig is so refined and sooth. It’s soft, emotional, and immediately atmospheric. I might have been moved to tears. For me it reminds me of an experience I had at the floating monasteries in Northern Greece. As it opens, the resin begins to glow- reminds me of copal. Smooth, meditative, and quietly sacred, it creates the same feeling I had standing at the floating monasteries of Meteora. There is a sense of elevation, of being suspended between earth and sky, of stepping into a place that has held centuries of silence and prayer. The fragrance carries that same ancient, ethereal, grand energy. The woods are creamy and warm, never sharp. They feel like carved beams and worn monastery doors, softened by time and sunlight. The whole composition becomes a blend of warm stone, glowing resin, and mineral air, creating a serene and deeply meaningful atmosphere. As it settles, Casa Blanca becomes less of a perfume and more of a memory. It smells like golden air drifting through stone corridors, like warm wood touched by light, like the quiet awe of standing somewhere sacred. It is one of the prettiest and most meaningful fragrances I have ever worn, and it brings me back to a place that changed me. Casa Blanca is not just a scent to enjoy. It is a place to return to. Thank you my soul needed this fragrance.

This is the first House of Bo fragrance I've tried and I can say that I really enjoy it! It is definitely an out of the ordinary sort of scent for me to wear (I am absolutely not big on tea frags), but It's incredibly pleasant. There is this dense creaminess throughout the entire fragrance that never gets to smell lactonic throughout its development which is a fantastic trait about the scent. The oud at the base is faint and very very approachable. There is no point in this fragrance that, to me, seems challenging or "too niche" to be worn regularly. Very classy, highly unisex scent (that leans evvvvver so slightly masculine). All of the notes in this scent are blended beautifully that creates a really nice olfactory experience throughout. Creamy and sensual, yet airy enough to be daily driven. I love it! The major drawback, however, is the performance and projection. As a parfum AND at a niche price point, I expected much more in regards to its performance. For me, it drys down relatively quickly and becomes a close-to-skin scent faster than expected. Other than that, it's a lovely little frag by a niche house that creates fragrances using ethically sourced, vegan ingredients. If you have a BlueMercury nearby, please try it out.

The best fig scent in the game and it's not even close. I know that House of BO (B.O.) is a rather unfortunate choice of branding, but don't let that or the superfluous gemstone caps fool you into thinking that the juice isn't top-notch. You can smell that the same perfumer (Voekl) made Le Labo's Noir 29, but this has all the (still kinda lacking) performance with more situational versatility. This is a Floridian house after all, so the scents they make need to come off correct and not cloying, even and perhaps especially in the muggy armpit/panhandle of the CONUS. I would say if you're a guy particularly, beware of overspraying in the height of summer, the fig becomes overbearing in a way that can come off feminine in that heat. Other than that one caveat, go as crazy as you like, the vanilla/suede/tobacco/fig drydown in this stuff is so smoothly blended that you smell all of them and yet have to go looking to pick out either of them on any individual level. Master perfumery.

Edit: Casa Blanca is growing on me. But, performance is still an issue. OG: This house has some beautifully creative and lovely perfumes. But, they are egregiously over-priced for the longevity. The H of B composition is also a bit hard to figure out. I 'get' the idea behind every one of their fragrances, but 'each' one has something that just pulls me out of the moment / vibe, and distracts from 'overall' beauty / ideal. It's like they had sheer perfection...and then just added one more 'note-for-good-measure'...giving the fragrance an almost 'off-putting' opulence. I honestly wish I could put my finger on it. It's like a chef that creates a 5-star dish, and adds an extra dash of salt for the hell of it. So disappointed, because on paper they should be 10 / 10. I can see why some find them absolutely beautiful. But, performance at this price point is not good.

BLUF - I really like Casa Blanca. I am not ordinarily a fan of vanilla-forward perfumes or gourmands. Perhaps it’s a reflection of time - I prefer perfumes that lean into green or resinous austerity - like Ormonde Man, Mousse Illuminee, Terre d’Hermes. Casa Blanca leans sweeter, but its slightly bitter and leathery resin notes balance out the vanilla. Longevity and projection are, of course, skin-specific. My particular skin (slightly dry) favors resins, heavier woods, and musks, whereas lighter fixatives do not last. Casa Blanca is built on the former, so it lasts a long time on me. Casa Blanca lasts a long time on my skin, so no reapplication partway through the day is needed. As for projection, I suspect Casa Blanca is meant to be an intimate fragrance - one that you smell and enjoy within a small bubble. I enjoy it. Your mileage may vary.

Last week, I tried this in a discovery set and by today my full bottle had arrived. It's delightful, and I'm addicted. It may be my new signature scent. It smells like simplicity and ease, yet still intriguing and compelling. She is just elegant. I cannot stop smelling myself when I wear this, and I know I will feel confident when I do. She's effortlessly fancy. Although that may be a byproduct of the unboxing! Well designed packaging, a luscious velvet bag, and a hidden message... House of Bō you've outdone yourselves with the carved cap. the bottle feels like a fragrance trophy. I'm also a fan of Frank V's Thè Noir, and for me the two fragrances smell like 2nd cousins. I could imagine layering them. I don't know if I've ever enjoyed a mineral note before, but it makes sense in this fragrance. 10/10 for me.

This is my go to, dare I say signature, date night or evening out scent. I am a hater of gourmands so I am always looking for a scent that brings that same evening sultry vibe without gourmand notes and this is it. It balances having a clean vibe with tobacco and oud. The vanilla makes it warm, addictive, and sultry but not at all gourmand, it really balances the fresh fig and tea to bring my favorite notes into the evening. She is a night at a nice restaurant in the summer. The woman is wearing a matching skirt and top set, or linen pants and a shoulder revealing top. She also wears this in the fall with a low cut v neck cashmere sweater and the perfect jeans. She has this effortless breezy vibe that is classy and elegant but is still sexy. A tik toker I love called this “wifey” and I couldn’t agree more.

A beautiful fragrance if it works on your skin chemistry. But at this price point you'd expect better performance. I do not agree with the Le Labo / The Noir 29 having a strong similarity. I find Casa Blanca way less dry and less aromatic than The Noir 29. Maybe a bit of a vibe because of fig and tea, but the depth, texture, creaminess (not lactonic), hint of floral in Casa Blanca is not like 29. It seems many of the major high-end retail stores are dropping the House of Bo line. Nordstrom / Neiman / Bergdorff. That's disappointing. 🤔 Edit: Add Saks to the list of retailers not carrying this house. I really don't think it's the scents. I really believe it's the 'highest price point' vs 'performance'. Even for the clientele of these stores. Too bad, really. I like the concept of this house.

This is so so so beautiful, I can’t even put it in words. I’m totally in love with this fragrance. It is very unique, even unusual, if I may say. I’m a fig lover, but I was very surprised when I found out it was fig and tea what I was smelling, although now I absolutely recognize those notes. The first time I wore it I thought it was the warmest, sweetest and coziest sandalwood fragrance I’ve ever smelled! The woody base is undoubtedly there. My first experience of this was a decant, but not for long, that same day I ordered a 40 ml bottle. Also, as Hispanic, I love the fact that all the names in this house are in Spanish, and that something so beautiful and of such a good quality literally “speaks” my language. Casa Blanca, or White House, fits perfectly to this composition. Love it!

I’m surprised so many people suggest this a spring or summer fragrance. To me, its deep, rich notes are something I’d seek out in fall and winter. From the incense of the resinous copal to the soft suede, tobacco, and bourbon, and even the plummy fig, the notes conjure warming, comforting feelings I’d like better when it’s cold outside. In winter, this would feel like a completely unisex scent, but if I smelled it on someone in summer, it would read more traditionally masculine to me. (This is the only fragrance I can think of in which weather influences my interpretation of gender presentation.) Overall this a deep, rich, and complex fragrance that’s worth trying to see if it’s right for you. I was pleased by the longevity- it was still faintly present after more than 8 hours.

This is a beautifully crafted scent. I’ve not smelled anything like it and am not sure of the Noir 29 comparisons. This is the type of scent that smells different on people. On me, it is a smoked vanilla bourbon fig with soft suede and tobacco nuances. It’s creamy without being cloying. This is not a beast-mode fragrance, it is intimate and gorgeous. It’s rather long-lasting on me. Update: Sadly, I don't love this as much as I did initially. I don't know what happened but the fig is just a bit too sweet now and it's overpowering all of the beautiful notes in this. I now understand what other reviewers say about it being cloying. I only wear this scent now layered with either Jang (Elorea), Espiritu (House of Bo), or Bon Bon (House of Bo)

Love at first sniff. This is clean, airy, uplifting and elegant. Casa Blanca is sophistication in a bottle and extremely versatile. This is an aromatic white suede scent. which whispers rather than shouts. It smells like wearing a white linen shirt with the perfect blue jeans, an expensive straw basket bag and woven leather accessories, walking through a white marble hotel lobby. Casa Blanca is classy yet casual, versatile enough for many seasons and occasions and just unusual enough to be signature scent worthy. The fig and tea notes combined make this reminiscent of a fresher and more wearable version of Thé Noir 29.

Gawd this is so intoxicating! I smell white copal...noticeably. I have burned both black and white copal resin and it’s definitely white copal I’m smelling the most with this fragrance. The blend on this is great. It’s the perfect combination of a cedar humidor filled with high end, maduro cigars,....the best, naturally burning catholic church incense (labdanum/copal) in a small Mexican town, and delicate white tea leaves. It’s fresh. It’s smokey. It’s luscious. It’s light. It’s earthy. The sillage is pretty incredible. My husband loves it on me, and I love it when he wears it too. It’s perfection.

I hope you hate this so I can be the only one in the world wearing it. There is nothing anyone could say to make me love it less. I've heard people say this smells like a luxury vacation and I do not get that at all. To me it smells like a man looks in a crisp white thobe. It's sexy but you feel dirty about it because you know it's sacred and it's supposed to be pure and holy. Some may find this too woody for the girlies. If you hear them say that, let me know so I can block them. This scent is holding a vigil in my soul and I imagine this is what the stairway to heaven smells like, 10 out of 3.

Reading these notes made me expect a heavy, spicy and cloying scent. It was a bit screechy at first and for the first 5 minutes I didn’t really like it much. After a few more minutes, I think I got it. It’s very well blended, almost to the point where it’s difficult to pick out all the notes. I really get the mineral note and some fig and tobacco. There’s something bright in there as well. I still don’t know if this is something I want a full bottle of, but I also can’t stop smelling my wrist. 🤔 Ok, edited to add that it just kept getting better and better and I ended up buying a full bottle....

I got a 10ml of this as part of a set and immediately wrote it off as too masculine for myself (I think it's the tobacco note). But my husband liked it a lot, and I love it on him. It's lovely - very airy and clean, ambery without being cloying. And it's strong - with 2 sprays, it's at least moderate sillage, if not strong, for 8+ hours. FWIW, I think the listed accords are VERY wrong for this. It is very mineralic and ambery, with a lighter touch of tobacco. And I don't get "sweet" much at all; maybe just in the first 10 minutes of wear? I think the fig covers the vanilla entirely.

My first spray of Casa Blanca confused me at first. On my skin this pulls smokier and slightly more masculine than I was expecting. I generally gravitate towards hyper feminine perfumes; however, this has me mezmorized and second guessing my taste in fragrance. My partner noted that on me it smells definitely a bit more mature than the majority of fragrances I have (I'm a white floral/rose/gourmond lover). This is very comforting and relaxing! I will be getting a full bottle of this (probably small one because she is not cheap)!

I love this so so much. It smells nearly identical to The Noir 29 to my nose, but a little less moody. Same perfumer and all. I get the mineralic notes as almost a salty stone like quality, and Casa Blanca is overall just a bit breezier and smoother. However by the dry down it’s pretty much indistinguishable from The Noir 29, I couldn’t remember which wrist I had sprayed them. I can’t really justify owning them at the same time :( some people claim they smell wildly different but I don’t think I agree

Clean, crisp, fresh, airy, elegant, with a touch of hipster woody sweetness...I have yet to find anything to dislike about this fragrance except that I need a 75ml bottle and it's way out of my budget. One of House of Bo's best, tied with Espiritu. Someone described this as the olfactory equivalent of wearing a white linen button down and jeans with leather accessories...couldn't be a more accurate description. It's classic. Timeless. Easily could be an everyday scent.

First impression is a heavily spiced fragrance. Not spicy but spice laden. I strongly smell cinnamon. That mellows out and it opens to a warm, sweet, expensive soapy vibe. Comforting, masculine and mature. The opening faded quickly. After an hour I get a smell reminiscent of bubble gum - it’s strange. I think I love this - but as a woman I wouldn’t wear it. Plan to give my sample to my husband and I bet it will be sexy af.

This was the last House of Bo sample I had and I loved it. As I woman I found this very unisex and I loved wearing wearing this. This was super smooth, and lasted for 10+ hours on my skin and clothes. The suede was most prominent note to me but the vanilla, fig, and oud were definitely present. To me this could be worn day or night all year. I definitely plan to buy a full bottle of this at some point.

Casa Blanca feels like stepping into a sunlit seaside sanctuary. The fig is creamy and natural—nothing too sweet—with this smooth, mineral vibe that’s super calming. There’s a whisper of tobacco and something incensy underneath (maybe copal?) that gives it depth without making it heavy. It’s fresh, a little earthy, and quietly elegant. Perfect for when you want something grounding but still bright.

Love this!!!! White tea, fig, suede, vanilla, tobacco––woody and still so light and wearable in the summer heat! Perfectly unisex, very classy, refreshing while still having depth and substance. Of the summer samples I got from house of bo, ranking this one above Ave Maria, and although I haven't tried La Mar yet, I'm predicting Casa Blanca will be my favorite of the three...

Very beautiful, perfectly balanced fragrance. I find it comforting, addictive, and adventurous all at once. This is a glamping trip in a coastal forest with white linen and tropical woods, but also the hint of distant flowers and exotic herbs, and the damp earth just outside your door. I really enjoy it on myself, but I think I'd like it just as much or maybe more on a man.

Sweet, yet fresh, airy, and effortless while exuding opulence. Unfortunately, it seems to last only a hour or so on my skin. If not for that, it would be full-bottle worthy. EDIT: I wore this again to an outdoor wedding, and it lasted at least 5 hrs. So maybe I just go nose-blind to it in interior spaces. It is so good! Will be looking for a full bottle.

I smelled this for the first time in Neiman Marcus and fell in love. This house has so many great scents. It’s dry, woody, slightly smoky - It reminds me of a sauna inside a luxurious bathhouse. It’s fresh and mineralic with the perfect amount of subtle sweetness from the vanilla and fig. This is a very unique and sophisticated choice for all seasons.

I love House of Bo fragrances. I know the story is they're made for the Miami climate and it makes so much sense as every one of them makes me feel like I should be on some kind of expensive place wearing white that's flowing in the wind. It's the same for me with La Mar and Ave Maria. Beachy in a sophisticated pretty scent that makes me feel rich.

I hate that I love this so much. I purchased at least three different samples to make sure I still felt as strongly about it as I did in the beginning before committing to a full bottle. It truly is a remarkable scent. Fragrances with mineralic notes just work for me. I’ll forever be a customer, as this is quickly becoming my signature scent.

Probably my favourite discovery of 2024 (so far). Woody, creamy, clean, warm and cool at the same time. I Agree with amanda0727, this is very masculine to me, so I won't be wearing it. I gave my travel size to my husband; guys, if you want a VERY SEXY but refined, cool, understated and knock-her-socks-off fragrance, give this a try.

Absolutely beautifully blended fragrance! I can smell each of the notes throughout the wear, even several hours in. Truly unisex and smells unique to anything I have smelled before in a fragrance but is reminiscent of spas and luxury soap shops. Super impressed with this one and 100% signature scent worthy.

I usually hate oud but I love this so much. Even with the tobacco, it’s my favorite spa smelling scent. So amazingly unique Also have to point out how incredibly well this scent projects. I merely picked up my bottle to smell it without spraying and I can still smell it somehow walking around my house lol

Crushed black tea leaves mixed with dried fig pulp and dried tobacco, very minerally on the opening, becomes airier as it sits on the skin. Can be worn all year round, but I think this would really shine in hot weather. I used up my entire sample, definitely worth trying.

This is incredible. I've never smelled anything like it. Both Casa Blanca and Bombon are the most beautiful, emotion-provoking fragrances I have ever laid my nose on. I could just sit here and smell them all day. House of Bo is next level.

It’s the brisk air as you step out of a marble bath. Incense burns with fresh figs awaiting nearby. This is beautiful, intense, & perfect after an everything shower. (p.s pair with Ouai St. Barts body crème, thank me later)

I would classify this as a tea perfume and it's now at the top of my list! It's so masterfully blended and the quality of this stands apart from anything I have in my collection. So serene and beautiful and unique!

loveeee! It’s definitely more masculine than unisex. I thought I wouldn’t like this because I don’t always love tobacco scents on me, but this smells very smooth. I wish there was a bit more of that fig, though.

I've already written my love letter to this fragrance. Just coming back to repeat I still feel like I could bathe in this scent. I could smell this for the rest of my life and I'd be happy.

Smells nothing like the noir it does smell amazing though the quality is 100 percent here and evident. Beautifully done tea and fig!

If you're in the market for an all-season, casual but luxurious signature scent, and you're bored of the ever popular musky 'your skin but better' frags - Casa Blanca might be your new holy grail. It opens a little fruitier than I expected. I immediately recognized the velvety richness of fig complemented by a brighter tea accord. However, what makes this fragrance unique and worth its praise is the way HOB has played with the tobacco note. I'm not a lover of tobacco frags, so this opinion is coming from someone who has a low tolerance for it, but the tobacco is done beautifully here. I would say this is a slightly sweet, soft tobacco perfume and remains that way for the first few hours of wear. Vibe wise this is absolutely unisex but to me it leans more masculine in nature. When I think of the type of character who might wear this as a signature, I see them definitely working in the arts, or at least they have an artistic hobby, but people wouldn't categorize them as a free spirit. They are elegant, serene and serious about their craft. They are effortlessly sophisticated. Alongside that portrait, I do get the image of black and white marble. I think this meditative frag has elements of both light and dark features, but there is such an expansive smoothness to the composition overall that it is just so well blended together. After about five hours of wear Casa Blanca settles into a more smoky take on tobacco and, of course, the vanilla really pulls through as a base note in the dry down. It has a subtle projection at this point. Someone would still be able to smell it if they were to hug me, but possibly not at arms reach. However, it really clings on to hair and clothes, so that might help with the longevity in general. I will enjoy my sample. But as much as I appreciate the vision, it's not for me personality wise. However I definitely recommend it and believe it's worth the hype. (note - yes, this does have a similar profile to Salt & Stone's Black Rose & Oud. If you love Casa Blanca but it's not in your budget def try S&S. I have the Black Rose & Oud bodywash and lotion and layering that first before I spray on Casa Blanca has really made this perfume pop and project!)

very beautiful, something that I would wear more for myself than others since I don't think it's a particularly crowd pleasing scent. I would absolutely recommend spraying it right on skin no matter how scary that might seem, because this is a completely different thing on a test strip (I got basically entirely honey and fig, it comes across way sweeter than the scent actually is on skin, it seems demonically cloying and not particularly pleasant). on skin it becomes this beautiful clean mineral scent with a bit of fig & tea, the way the white oud & white tobacco are done are so impressive because it's anything but heavy wearing. it's very clean but not soapy, it has a crystalline mineral/almost salty effect, which is something I really have a soft spot for and the reason why I adore WS&SS too. it's very special. I will say that this perfume does have a gasoline accord in a good way, it's like if you infused it in the most impossibly elegant smelling gasoline in the universe. the noir 29 is my signature scent and I see the two of them as completely different for this reason. I don't want to compare them because their effects are just not the same at all and it would be extremely difficult for any perfume to ever even approach the noir's godliness to me. what can I say, it's stolen my heart and I'm forever a biased woman because of it. anyways, I want to pull the trigger on casa blanca but unfortunately this scent is so expensive, inaccessible on discounter sites and only lasts about 2-3 hours on my skin with very little projection after about 45 minutes. still a special creation, I'm very glad I was able to grab a travel size and would consider a full bottle at some point in the future if it sticks around.

I think the idea that this is a light and sheer scent was oversold to me by too many reviewers. Let’s be clear and say it’s RELATIVELY light and sheer for what you’d expect for the notes listed, to me this is indeed still a heavy scent. I’m not getting spa at all. In the opening it leans masculine to my nose. Reminds me of an old man outside a jazz club dressed to the nines with a cigar tucked in his shirt pocket along with a folded handkerchief, he has a glass of bourbon in one hand and you question if he’s flirting with you as he offers to buy you a drink, then after he’s grown bored or tired he has someone drive him off in a phantom. You know the one, a Steve Harvey looking dude. In the dry down, after the swanky old man has left, the scent really changes. It turns more feminine, floral, sweet, and clean and I like it a lot more. This is not a safe blind buy. Maybe I’m just basic but this is probably the most niche perfume I’ve ever bought. Not in love but I don’t hate it. I’m really at odds with the tobacco note. I don’t typically like tobacco notes. At the very least I can agree it smells very luxurious. I can totally envision a mature rich person wearing this.

Very different from anything else in my collection, but this is done very nicely. Definitely a mature scent and could see this being worn more so on a sophisticated date or night out. To me, what sticks out the most is a strong fig and suede, with just a touch of spice from the tobacco to add to the dry down. I never really got tea out of smelling this, but maybe its just blended very well and my nose just can't pick it out. The fig is very strong and dense, once upon my first time trying it out on skin, I just wanted to wash it off as I was going to the gym and didn't want to smell like leather. The fragrance was stubborn and even wanted to stick around on my skin after scrubbing even just half a spray, but keep in mind as the fig had turned into a distinctly thick sweaty/body odor. So basically don't scrub it off. The suede definitely makes this scent lean masculine to me, but not in a "traditional" way as the leather isn't dry nor is there a woody scent to this.
