After about an hour I began to pick up on the dry down that elegantly transitioned into warm amber and rich wood notes. Oro Verde has excellent longevity and projection off of my skin. After eight full hours of wear, I had to shower to take it off. Upon the initial spry, it projected very well, two to three feet, and only came down to about one foot at around the five-hour mark. It stayed there until I showered around eight hours after application. And let’s talk about the packaging—each bottle is a work of art! Hand-sculpted by local Mexican artisans from natural stone, every cap reflects the unique color profile of the fragrance within. Oro Verde has cemented itself on my must-have list! This is so fresh and beautiful. It does smell like someone just lit up, then tried to mask it with cologne, but I mean that in the best possible way. I’ve never smoked weed, but growing up in Colorado and living in California, the scent is practically atmospheric. It’s nostalgic. Comforting. Familiar in a way I didn’t know I missed. Performance is solid. Versatility is surprisingly high. Just maybe skip it for daycare pickup or a buttoned-up office setting, unless you don't mind the the side-eyes. What makes this scent beautiful is how smooth and refined it is. The bergamot, watermelon, and palo santo complement the cannabis note and elevate it. It’s a masterclass in balance. Agree with liliazeib below with the type of person who'd wear this. I imagine this is the scent of someone who lives on the westside of LA or Miami. They hit the gym in the morning, then lunch with friends. They’re well-off, minimalist, free-spirited, and at peace. They own their own business, and have mastered the balance of being social and introspective. A dreamer with discipline. And this scent fits them like linen in summer.

I was hesitant to sample this because of all the reviews mentioning the cannabis note. I expected that “skunky” smell we all remember from college, but this is NOT that at all. It’s more of a fresh, herbal bud. Green, aromatic, and addictive. Only be afraid if you don’t want to be a total s*x magnet. Being 100% honest... this scent made me blush (if you know what I mean) smelling it on paper. It’s the perfect green, earthy fragrance for spring or summer. Definitely unisex, though I personally prefer it on my man, it leans just masculine enough to drive me crazy. Whatever’s in this, I need a full bottle for my husband ASAP! God where to start with this scent. It's so addictive, fresh, not so strong on the cannabis (trust somebody on this who lives in the Netherlands) :). It's so nice and I don't love unisex scents but this just really wrapped me up in a cocoon of addictive notes that I really enjoy (day or night) mostly I'd say in the warmer weather (spring/summer/fall). Definitely not a blind buy! I got a discovery set with Casa Blanca (also nice but nothing special to my nose) and Bonbon (same as CB) but this just really captured my heart! Highly recommend trying it if you like fresh, green scents!

I finally found my signature scent. I'm honestly obsessed with this fragrance. I love the cannabis notes that bring in a little bit of wildness while still carrying this gravitas. It makes me feel expensive and powerful, and the basil and watermelon balance each other to create this lovely freshness. I'm already a slut for bergamot and Palo Santo (Stag by The Maker has been my go to otherwise), so I felt personally targeted by the perfumers who made this.

My husband smokes weed and I hate the smell of it everytime, it’s nauseating and I’m just not a fan. This fragrance shocked me!!! This is my first review and I had to make a Fragrantica account just soo I can rave about how good this smells, it definitely smells like weed but there is some creaminess to it, and I love it. I am definitely adding this to my wish list.

What a unique and exceptionally special scent. He's green, a little spicy, and SO sexy! This scent to me is the scent equivalent of tall, dark, and handsome. We all know him: the clean-cut baddie with an edge; we all have a crush on him but know we probably shouldn't. WOW! Literally cannot stop smelling my wrists. A LOVE!

This smells amazing! It's the poster child for summer ☀️ and I cannot wait to wear it!! The scent is so uplifting and elegant. It's tart, like watermelon rind, with earthy elements that are very well blended. Oro verde is just an overall unique scent experience and I adore it...very IT GIRL/ IT GUY worthy!

A juicy, vibrant neon green perfume. Bright and cheerful Bergamot combined with fresh leaves of cannabis (this is not a funky scent), and basil. I don’t smell much of ambergris or palo santo. Truly enjoyable.

This is a really creative fresh scent. Opens with a burst of juicy watermelon and settles into a fresh spicy accord. The cannabis note is not dark or smoky at all, it is fresh and green. Paired with the watermelon, to me the cannabis is pretty understated but that comes from someone who is used to and likes the smell. The woody amber base keeps it from being too spicy and sharp. A great sweet/fresh scent with a dash of green spice. Everything from House of BŌ I've smelled has been a masterclass in blending and this is no exception. It's a unique spring or summer scent and if you're looking for a very realistic cannabis note that probably wouldn't offend those around you who don't appreciate the aroma, I can comfortably recommend this. It lasts around 7 or 8 hours with decent projection on my skin. Pricing wise its a little crazy for sure though. It is very well done and creative so if you like the idea of a cannabis-focused fresh scent that is blended well enough to not feel like its screaming "WEED" at everyone around it could be for you. I can't say I'd pay the price charged for it considering I have to be in the mood for it. Definitely not a daily wear for most people. Super cool, gonna wear my sample out and move on!

This is such a cool fragrance. After experiencing the horrors that is NoCologne by Fugazzi, I was hesitant about a cannabis note as it's HARSH and violating in there with the combination of other notes. The cannabis in here is light, herbal and refreshing. I know it's due to the combination of basil, mate, and bergamot, but it's just beautiful. It's all beautiful. I've never smelled anything like this before. I'm not sure if anybody would appreciate this DNA like a perfume snob would... but maybe it's bringing a whole new look to smelling like weed. Lol. I wouldn't mind smelling like weed if it meant I would be smelling like this lol. The person who wears this is clean, mild-tempered, and minimalistic. They have their shit together, and they work a well-paying job. They smoke in their room, where the smoke odor can cling to their clothes. Paired with their already green and fresh fragrance, Oro Verde is born.

Oro Verde is definitely a dry-down beauty for me. The opening reads brighter and a bit louder than I typically prefer, but once it settles, it becomes smooth, clean, and quietly powerful. The dry down is polished and refined without feeling heavy or sweet, which I really appreciate. If you’re sensitive to sharp openings but enjoy a crisp, put-together scent once it warms up on skin, this one is worth the patience.

This is quite beautiful. There’s definitely more than just cannabis, here. I’m picking up every single note listed and they come together beautifully. Sure, there’s cannabis, but everything else is right there with it. It smells like tea time in your Bruja/Hoodoosaint auntie’s backyard in a warm and lush climate.

My first impression is of a modern, slightly aquatic and airy fougere. I am extremely sensitive (and highly averse to) to the skunky compounds in marijuana and hops, and I don’t detect them at all here. On the contrary, this perfume is quite pleasant. It dries down slightly soapy but still green.

Watermelon jolly rancher and sawdust for me. Got worse after 10+ wears...

Sadly, cannabis note seems strong to me but the other notes seem to be about level, although the watermelon and basil notes come out more about 4 hours in. I only have a 2ml but one spray is all I need for most of the day. It would also be limited to days working from home, as I don't want to smell like a pothead (Hubby noticed it right away) I love the House of Bo's creativity and the fragrances I have from them but this is not for me but maybe will try it in cold weather, as I think you could wear it then.

I blind bought this, I'm not opposed to smoking marijuana I used to partake in my younger days. I figured I would love this fragrance as I tend to love green notes. To me this smells like the ash tray where I used to keep my roaches. The cannabis smell is overpowering however this is the longest lasting house of bo fragrance I've had because the rest perform terrible.

Oro Verde was a scrubber for me. I really believed that the cannabis would be sweet and fresh, especially with notes of basil and watermelon, but unfortunately it was way too weed heavy for me. I do think I jooped myself; when I was reading all the online hype I was hoping for a rich, verdant and moist jungle experience. I was predicting that the cannabis note would be prominent in the opening but would soften in the dry down - unfortunately, throughout the hour that I could stand to test it, I could only visualize a dank dorm room full of dirty laundry. To my nose it was entirely weed stank and body odour. I wasn't the only one who thought this. Being a fan of House of BO, and worried my nose was broken, I asked a bunch of friends for their thoughts and they ushered me towards the shower. I love that this is a popular fragrance. I love that for the brand, and I love that for you if you love it. I'll pass, thanks.

Sad to say this reminds me of Dylan Blue at first. On my skin this smells similar to that scent especially in the synthetic backdrop. To my nose this smells harsh but someone said this smelled very soft to them. I wish this smelled fresher, more herbaceous, and that I got the mate people report, that would be a very welcome smell! It is the cold and dry season now so maybe I need to give it another chance in the heat. Edit: My atomizer did better this time and I like it much more. This is much softer than at first try. This still doesn't wow me but I can actually pick out the notes, this is not the synthetic bath I called it the first time. It's only slightly funky and I'm just not interested in it. Note tree is much more interesting than the final product for me.

I was certain from the notes that I would enjoy this fragrance. Initial spray was interesting but as it dried down on the tester strip it became literal cannabis. It was so photorealistic that I could not handle it. I’m so disappointed, I’m sure it’s different on the skin but I’m not brave enough to try.

This definitely smells different. Strong, sharp green. Kind of mentholic. There are tons of other green fragrances i'd rather wear than this one. I can't really say I want to smell like this

The herbal notes, basil, cannabis throw me off. Palo santo and vetiver are tricky for me. The sweetness must be watermelon. Not my preferred profile.

Starts off watermelon flavored dab pen, dries down to generic department store men’s cologne.

i smoke weed on occasion and i've had exes who were major stoners who love buying high quality weed. their weed smelled sweet, even slightly candy-like. this smells like cheap weed mixed with the salty body odor of a white stoner with dreads who refuses to shower regularly and does not use deodorant, and has not had a sober existence in 10 years, plus a dash of rancid water that's had a cigarette butt soaking in it for a week. i work at a concert venue. i've experienced the stench of these types of people first hand when we have hippie shows. it DOES smell damp and green, could be interpreted as being fresh, but my personal scent association overpowers this. clearly, this was a major miss for me. other brands do damp, green, and fresh better than this, and there are other house of bo scents are FAR better than this one!

So kindly... what the fuck I guess I gaslit myself into thinking the basil and watermelon would make the cannabis wearable. They didn't do shit against it. This was pure cannabis. One time, I got a whole lecture from a guy I was hooking up with on expensive vs. cheap cannabis because he was passionate about it. It smelled like the expensive cannabis he smoked. So, I'll give house of bō this, they chose expensively. However, at the end of the day, cannabis is still gonna smell like cannabis. I don't smoke weed, why would I ever want to smell like I did?

Honestly this perfume and house sucks so much. Most of their online hype is from paid influencers. I ordered from them and the bottle arrived busted. They ignored all my customer service emails and wouldn't post my review showing the bottle defects. They really treated me like dirt, which is crazy for the price point. So go for it you want to risk $400 on a perfume whose reviews are totally faked.

I don't know where to start. This was a huge miss to me. The basil and cannabis scents are all I smell. This was just not pleasant and not how I want to smell. I just don't really have anything else to say about this.

I smelt this on a tester string and it was a hard pass. I couldn't see the forest through the leaves if you will. But then I went for it and tried this on skin and the difference it makes is unbelievable. Yes there was the strong cannabis notes but there is so much more to this fragrance. The water melon sweetness and the ambergris won me over. This does not smell like a stoner with BO. Funnily enough I had to deal with a stoner while wearing this and got a good comparison. While stoners radiate that nasty, almost fecal, cannabis note. This is fresh and the sweetness almost makes it candy like. This is the most daring and unique cologne in my collection. Sadly it is hard to wear because of it. Ill probably start rocking this on Saturdays while out doing errands.

I love this perfume! But you have to like green notes to appreciate this perfume. It is very unique blend, unlike anything else I smelled before. Very well blended, no sharp notes, nothing is screaming. Just a fresh green, slightly citrusy, with small touch of sweetness coming from watermelon. If I remember correctly, it is inspired by trip to South America Forrest. Definitely portrays that perfectly. It can be worn year round probably. And think it is truly unisex perfume. Anybody can wear it. It is not a beast mode smell, but I definitely could smell good portion of the day. Bought decant after watching YouTuber raving about how good it is, and it truly is. No regrets buying it. Definitely can see eventually getting a full size bottle.

Pretty impressed with the house of Bō so far I instantly recognized that terpenic MJ smell but it’s not skunky at all and more fruity with that bergamot and watermelon note. It is sort of like a green and fruity toned Acqua Di Gio with a more refined smoky Palo santo and moss dry down. I don’t detect a whole lot of ambergris as I have Atlantic ambergris by ALD on my other hand but I am getting an aquatic feel from Oro verde.

Got a lot of things to say but i won't spam. first of all, for the type of fragrance it is, the lasting power is INCREDIBLE. The scent is like taking the bottom 30% of a watermelon (not just the rind a little fruit too), and then rubbing it around in a garden with some tart herbalness from the cannabis. I love it. I kinda get some tomato leaf type accord but it's not listed. Great and unique fragrance

Unique and pretty blend. Not skunky. Very, very poor performance. Far better 'green' fragrances out there. But, this house is artistic and you can't go by the notes. None of their fragrances are long lasting for the cost. So, IF you don't care about performance, and can afford this price tier, they are worth sampling.

It’s very well blended, projects, and long lasting. This reminds of bits and pieces of other fragrances put together. It reminds me of Zara‘s Joe’s rhubarb mixed with Florabotanica’s cannabis with watermelon instead of the Rose. Finally on me the dry down it ends up smelling like loud Irish spring soap!

I like this far more than I expected to. It really blooms on skin and is interesting - different from all of my other basil or tea fragrances. Not sure if I’ll spring for a full bottle because the cannabis note is definitely strong but I’m impressed by this one.

As a cannabis lover, i loved this scent just to sniff. Reminds me of packing a fresh bowl on a hot summer day in the garden, just before you light up. Unfortunately, I don’t believe it is smart for most to wear this in public, unless you wanna scream pothead <3

Please i don't mean to offend however, why would anyone want to smell like pure cannabis? its all i get in the opening and all i get in the dry down, perhaps skin chemistry matters with this one?
