Rosario

This IS perfumery to me. If someone asked what perfume is I would show them Rosario. Perfectly genderless, smoothly blended. The lemon in the opening is BEAUTIFUL and it settles effortlessly into a dewy rose. Haters will say it is boring or redundant, I say it is the best expression of a lively and airy rose I've ever smelled. Everyone who smells this, even my anti-perfume grandma, says it is amazing. After having spent a year exploring perfume and smelling probably hundreds of scents, this was the scent I requested for my birthday, and I really didn't even consider anything else. If I could only have two scents for the rest of my life, a daytime and a nighttime, this would be my daytime pick (Vivamor Addiction Absolu would be my nighttime). This lasts FOREVER on my skin, easily 14 or 15 hours with decent projection as well. It's simply perfect! I cannot praise it highly enough. One of the few times I can comfortably say something this expensive is maybe close to worth the money. I'm absolutely glazing this scent to an insane degree but the way it smells and performs for me lives up to these words and then some. I love House of BŌ Rosario. Sue me.

Dewy rose, noble rose, a rose that's truly a rose, young rose, pink petals 🌷🌸🌹 First of all I was expecting a playful rose (no reason, the name just gave me that impression) but this is a soft, natural, sugar-free, noble rose. It smells pristinely clean and luxurious. It slides a bit into what I'd call the soapy and musky rose category. In the first blasts there's a fresh and citric breeze, but it quickly and immediately reveals its true direction, the rose. Alongside it I'm picking up other clean and dewy pink flowers too, but nothing overshadows this fresh rose scent. I think the rose here darkens a little towards the drydown but this darkness doesn't make the rose gothic, it just makes it more serious. Like the rose with morning dew on it sinking into darkness at sunset... It won my love because it's a simple but very natural-feeling perfume. This is an absolute beauty. Clean and soft, but realistic rose, that somehow very carefully stays a bit warm, but not syrupy, not spicy, still gives dewy rose. It is somewhat simple, but it is a masterfully well-blended & easy to wear fragrance. I’ve been comparing back and forth to one of my all time favorite & very similar realistic roses: Diptyque Eau rose EDT . I find them extremely similar, only that Eau rose is distinctly more green and stronger projecting than Rosario. I find Rosario to be an easier wear than Eau Rose, however! My daughter says she clearly prefers Eau rose on both of us, that Rosario has a tiny touch of something she finds dirty smelling (I’m guessing that’s the ambergris) But for me, I can wear Rosario more days than I can Eau Rose EDT because of the lack of greenness about it. Sometimes green makes my stomach turn. 8/10 for Rosario

I agree with AnnaMagenta, this is Essential Parfums Rose Magnetic close sibling, not a twin but sisters, a year apart. In this economy I would say sample both and see which one moves you the most. I have both( by accident), I adore both, they both have that beautiful, fresh, ethereal, clean rose aroma. I will see how I feel about Rosario at the end of the 40mL bottle, if I want to invest in a 75mL. I will say this, Rose Magnetic costs $110USD for a 100mL and its refillable, Rosario is $195 for a 40mL and $365USD for a 75mL, no refills, yet. Rosario’s bottle is beautiful with the rose quartz cap and gold trim with the soft feet. Rose Magnetic’s bottle is simplistic, with clean lines, still nice to look at on a vanity. Whichever you choose, you will have a beautiful, spring/summer rose scent.

Rosario writes a master class on how to bring a clean rose into the evening without adding gourmand notes. It still has that clean/transparent day rose vibe with the lemon but brings in incense and ambergris to deepen and provide this sultry vibe. This is “clean girl goes evening”. The rose isn’t sweet, it is dewy, petal-y and photorealistic. It does so well in hot summer nights and equally well in sweater weather. If you want to make this a little brighter I love to layer it with EA Green Tea lotion which blends lovely with the lemon notes to just make it a day to night scent. This is beautiful year round and can bridge a casual vibe to a more formal setting. For that reason I always have this with me, a travel must have.

A beautiful, sophisticated rose freshie! I love the vibrant lemon and pomegranate opening. The coriander is grounding but still has a citrusy touch. In the mid I don’t get much freesia; it’s there, but very subtle. The stars are the rose and peony. I don’t always enjoy incense, but it feels really light combined with the ambergris and vetiver. Rosario is fresh, but doesn’t pull soapy. I find this scent to be really interesting- niche but easy to like and understand. I get about 4-5 hours longevity. HoB seems to work well in my hot and dry climate- they all feel sort of diaphanous, sheer and translucent. I really appreciate that they tend to smell very natural as well.

I adore the juicy lemony opening on this! It makes me feel like a garden fairy drinking rose lemonade from a dew drop. This doesn't smell like your average old big fluffy rose in grandma's garden. This smells like a fresh baby-pink rose with densely packed petals that was watered exclusively by hand using those glass water bottles from Erewhon. I don't think the projection is super strong, but I could smell myself all day which I enjoyed. However, later in the day I do get a slight alcohol or boozy scent that isn't my favorite. Otherwise, this is so pretty and happy. Plus, that rose quartz lid is stunning.

A rose lover’s rose perfume. To me is a watery, clean and realistic rose reminiscent of the rose scented bath cubes of the 80’s and 90’s in the best way possible. I’m really getting bath time from it. The peony is evident as well but I’m not getting any incense at all. There’s no depth to it. It’s fresh and bright. I don’t find the longevity to be a problem as others have mentioned. I put it on after a shower before bed and can smell it on my clothes in the morning. Definitely a spring or summer scent to me.

Wow 😍 Very luxe, very high quality fresh soothing rose frag. Eladaria's younger prettier cousin. Love love love, I could bathe in it It is a soft skin scent, perfect for wam weather or intimate setting but wow if you love roses you want to have this in your collection. I love Delina but I also love this. Only this I don’t like about this is project. Sits very close to skin while Delina projects a decent amount. I layer both and I’m in heaven.

I am still mourning Stella and this is so, so close. Not a total dupe (less amber-y, more dewy) but the closest I've gotten and well worth a bottle. It's somewhat close to Diptyque Eau Rose, a little less powdery, and closer to Byredo Young Rose; not as fruity as RDF Little Flower. The sillage is more intimate than other House of Bo scents I've tried, which I actually prefer. And I still get a solid 6-8 hours without overspraying.

As someone who's not a fan of rose (in fragrances) I am absolutely in love with this! Rosario is a photorealistic rose, it also reminds me or rose water, which I love. I can see myself wearing this day or night. It has a calming effect on me. In the opening I don't get any pomegranate at all, and on the dry down I also don't get much incense. This is very much a rose dominant scent, it's beautiful.

Currently sampling a very generous sample from Blue Mercury. I freakin' LOVE IT. It goes on fresh, pure, aromatic and has something nostalgic about it. I can't quite figure it out yet. Dries down perfectly and even husband said he loved it on me. I sampled this on my right arm, I sampled Ave Maria on my left arm at the same time - that was very jasminy. Saving my pennies for House of Bo Rosario.

This smells like a photorealistic rose with some interesting notes of lemon, amber and incense. If I close my eyes, I might be in a Catholic church during a wedding decorated with fresh roses. As it dries down further I can smell other florals as well. This scent could go from day to evening and is nice for any season. Just beautiful.

Didn’t want to write about this one as I feel I don’t have anything to say about it, but I’ve been obsessed with it lately. It’s not very unique but it’s a very pleasant clean rose that isn’t headache inducing. Very green rose with beautiful dry down. It’s a bit fleeting on skin but is eternal on clothes!

This smells like a more luxurious version of the now discontinued L'Eau d'Issey Florale by Issey Miyake. This is a powdery, modest rose scent. A little fresh, a little sweet, with a soft and sophisticated dry down. This is a beautiful fragrance that isn’t overpowering without being too subtle.

Wow ! Just received the discovery set and this was one of the three. This is amazing . I get a fresh watery , boozy , fruity rose 🥀 I can wear this all year round . I have to say this is the best rose perfume I have come across ! Out of the 3 I’m purchasing this one and Ave Maria .

Beautiful, fresh rose fragrance that is not matronly at all. Perfect for spring. The fragrance is complex, but light/bright, so it could be worn to work without being offense. This is not a sweet rose fragrance at all, but citrusy and slightly fruity with some incense undertones.

A fresh realistic rose scent with a bright citrus note and not much added sweetness. I love the incense in the dry down it adds a lot of depth. This is surprisingly long lasting, 6-8hrs. Great fresh rose scent for Summer.

Lovely, lotiony, makeup-soft lemon and rose that's both fresh and deep, and reminds me of giving my mom a big hug in the kitchen when she and my dad got home after an evening out while I stayed with a babysitter

OMG! It’s like walking into a ‘Rose Heaven’. One of the best rose citrusy fresh fragrance I’ve ever smelled, with a nice but not overpowering hint of incense and vetiver. Perfect for the spring and summer!

Beautiful Rosy very floral perfume.

This isn't dewy or fruity to me, it smells like rose water with a hint of incense. A very simple fragrance, don't expect this to wow you. The juxtaposition of dry incense and rosewater is too contrasting for me in the opening. That being said, the bottle design is gorgeous. I ordered a sample because I love rose and just from the rose quartz bottle design alone. Everything from this house reminds me of a spa or vacation. The dry down in this is everything. I was wondering what on earth I was smelling after waking up and it was a mix of Espiritu and Rosario. I smelled them separately and Espiritu has a soft, delicate powdery dry down and rosario smells like creamy rose! Honestly Im going to try it again on clean skin and if the dry down of rosario smells the same Im going to order fb. A more affordable option with similar type of soapy rose water is Amazing Grace Ballet rose and the EDT version. This one has always been my favorite, simple rose fragrance and they are similar. Like tons of rose petals in clean water. Amazing Grace Ballet Rose definitely disappears quickly on skin though so I use it on clothes

I like this a lot! This was a bit of an impulse buy for me, which usually doesn't turn out great for me with perfume but this was the exception! I'd seen reviews for this house a lot recently and happened upon them in a shop while traveling. Out of the ones they had from the line, Rosario was my favorite. It's definitely rose/floral but still light and fresh, plus not synthetic-smelling, which I appreciate. I was worried that after a few hours it would either disappear or turn sweet (which is what any of Parfums de Marly do on my skin) but this doesn't! It stays in the fresh-rose-peony land with hints of the base notes peaking through. A very nice, light, non-sweet, floral. Nothing too complex but still a very nice fragrance. Plus, the bottle is gorgeous and great quality.

i added an entire review for this perfume and it disappeared. idk if maybe the internet connection was unstable or what but i'll just leave it at that. the name of this perfume translates to 'rosary'. these things happen quite frequently. making this up would be like lying on a resume or pretending on social media, there's no need, this perfume is really good. if you want a bit of citrus and musk within a perfume and like me, do not normally go for fresh or citrusy acidic perfumes, give this a try. it has a doll type of scent after the drydown and it's quite nice! 🎈🍋

I have never smelled a rose-scented rosary but if it smells like this, it's nice :) This is one of more pleasant rose scents I tried, it is not pungent, it does not offend my nose, it is realistic and a bit watery. The citrus adds a nice touch, for some reason, it smells like the rose flower itself with the green parts, sepals and leaves, because of the citrus note. I have a small travel size bottle, and I am happy with it.

I'm surprised to see that most of the reviews here say that the lemon note is subdued. I would say that this is first and foremost a citrus fragrance, and secondly a rose fragrance. The incense is totally MIA for me. I don't dislike it by any means, but I don't love it. I think my hopes may have been too high for this one.

At first, ridiculously similar to the original Stella McCartney...so I ADORE it! It is stunning. It's not groundbreaking, but this beautiful scent should always be in our lives! However, as this dries down, the resemblance to Stella goes away, and I'm left with a light citrus blend. It's a lovely Rose for summertime.

You have smelled this before. Imagine any super pink rose peony fragrance, and then imagine that it smells perfectly smooth and well blended and costs $365 a bottle. It lasts incredibly well and if you want just a perfect pretty fresh but not dewy rose, this is it. And that bottle.. sheesh! Gorgeous

I agree this is a beautiful fragrance, but I'm so disappointed in the lack of any projection. It's truly a skin scent on me. Three sprays on my arm and the only way to get any whiff of it is to press my nose right up against my skin. A shame, because that scent is really wonderful!

Reminded me a lot the Rose Magnetic by Essential Parfums but more ethereal. Overall wearable and a good quality juice. It’s a very rose flowery fragrance. I’m more of a sucker for smell of closed buds and green parts of rose. So likely won’t fall in love with it.

It leans a bit clean with a soft warm touch, not the kind of scent that screams for attention but still gives a smooth presence ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ Might not hit if you’re into strong or heavy fragrances, but it works nicely as a chill everyday option (¬‿¬)

I agree - so much like Stella! Beautiful, slightly sugary, dewy rose. That bit of lemon in the background, keeping it sparkly and bright, not powdery. A bit of incense later makes it richer, more edgy.

Eladaria's much more natural sister, but far heavier on the lemon. Gorgeous, soft, & understated. Something special about this one to me.

a fresh dewy sparkling rose -- inoffensive and pleasant

The sample and the bottle are not the same. I got the sample 2 years ago and immediately my eyes rolled back so beautifully blended I never purchased because price was so high. When I noticed the 30 ml bottles I decided to treat myself. Well what a mistake this reminds me of a nursing home. It doesn’t have the richness or crispness also the bottle design while beautiful, it sucks. The lid is too heavy for the bottle. I wish they put more into the actual fragrance than wasting money on the packaging. Make the 30 ml bottles as concentrated as the samples! Add more lemon to balance out the freshness. Idk seems like I was bamboozled!

A toile de Jouy citrus rose. Somehow feels both powdery and watery – like a pastel of sunlit waters. Blush pink, lemon yellow, sky blue. An incense-toned floral swirls behind it all. It's pretty, and kinda prim. Reminds me of Liis’s Lucienne, but with a more outspoken rose, or a lower-calorie Byredo Young Rose. Enduring (at least 4h on my skin) for a such a floaty rosewater-lemondrop kind of scent. Mental Snapshot: The scent of someone who owns a monogrammed bathrobe and never has anything less than freshly-manicured nails. And several millennial pink Zimmermann dresses. They only write in calligraphy. tl;dr: citrus chintz 🍋💐

The rose to my nose (unintended rhyme) smells more like a jammy rose rather than a fresh watery rose. It smells like rose jam but a bit smoky. It is a very pleasant perfume and I enjoy it a lot! Clean, fresh but with a twist. Not overpowering, not too sweet. I don’t get the pomegranate at all, maybe some rhubarb even if it is not listen in the notes. I hope to smell more of the pomegranate in warmer weather maybe. Edit: my mom wore it during a 3-hour theatre concert inside and I had such intense nausea lol. And she only sprayed it twice. Nope not for me.

Rosario is a very fresh, kind of watery rose. I can't smell any top notes. Maybe the faintest hint of lemon. The incense is very light but it's there. She's just a really subdued, low-energy girlie. The light aquatic feel tries to make this interesting but it's not umphy enough. She's just lazily giving nothing and the longevity is so poor. I'm more and more bored until she's gone like an hour and a half later.

To all my catholics, if you have ever received a rose scented rosary from the vatican/italy, this is exactly what house of bo rosario smells like, your welcome :)

Average rose perfume. I don't understand the hype about it or this house. I have tried 5 of their fragrances & all average at best.

House of Bo gets so much love , I really want to love their fragrances too. Casa blanca , La Mar , and BomBon were all disappointments , and now Rosario . The first few minutes were a sweet lemony realistic rose , which was beautiful, but it dried down pretty quickly to a rose where the incense, ambergris and vetiver came out strong. After 10 minutes it was meh. I do prefer more feminine fragrances, and for rose perfumes , prefer MFK A La Rose and Acqua di Parma Rosa Nobile. However, I do think House of Bo are quality fragrances, and if you enjoy more unisex fragrances , they are worth trying, but I would recommend starting with a sample , because their interpretation of notes you may enjoy are a bit unique.

Reminds me of those scented baby dolls from my childhood, but not in an endearing way. It’s not bad, just not for me. Very powdery and realistic rose scent though. The rose note smells just like a fresh pink rose if you were to really put your nose in it.

Honestly this perfume and house sucks so much. Most of their online hype is from paid influencers. I ordered from them and the bottle arrived busted. They ignored all my customer service emails and wouldn't post my review showing the bottle defects. They really treated me like dirt, which is crazy for the price point. So go for it you want to risk $400 on a perfume whose reviews are totally faked.

Overpriced, low effort fragrance from an overrated and overpriced house

Rosario is what I wish Creed Eladaria were: a bright floral rose with a fresh citrus opening and base notes that actually elevate it instead of collapsing into the cloying powderiness that Eladaria turns into on my skin. The opening is a soft citrus, fresh but not loud (the kind of scent misted through a luxury beachside resort lobby). As it dries down, it becomes a true vibrant rose that’s neither overly sweet nor sharp. Eladaria leans both, somehow. Rosario’s rose is a juicy, youthful one—not that powdered kind of rose living in a posh Upper East Side grandma's bathroom cabinet. The floral is grounded in a very light (non-cloying) incense. This still isn’t my favorite House of Bo fragrance (I have yet to find a perfect rose for me), but I can appreciate Rosario as a clean, elegant, and very wearable (yet still interesting) take on a rose.

I LOVE this fragrance! Opens with a burst of citrus and brightness. And takes you on a beautiful journey with a light rose and then the incense! It is simply gorgeous. I started with a tester and then purchased the 40 ml. I will absolutely add the bigger bottle. This feels elegant and soft. I am not a fan of beast mode fragrances. I love when someone is in my space and says “you smell really good” and your fragrance lingers with them. After a hug or close conversation. That is THIS! My husband loves this one on me. ❤️

Rosario is a beautiful rose fragrance. I've smelled this rose before but in this fragrance it's very clean. Rosario has a beautiful citrus opening, I get a lot of the lemon and I like that. As it dries down on me it is basically all rose. I was so hoping that I'd get more of the incense but no such luck. I have a decant of this and I'll definitely be using it up. But, I have similar roses in my collection so this is not full body worth for me. Also, it's a pricey fragrance that is a bit overpriced IMO

The love I have for this fragrance is so deep and visceral. It’s the same rose you get in Delina minus everything else about Delina. It’s dewy, it’s pretty, it’s warm and enveloping. Something fit for a princess. It’s lasts for 4-6 hours and dries down to a warm ambery base of the perfect feminine elixir. Kiss from a rose by Seal comes to mind when I wear this masterpiece.

Really light. When I first sprayed it, it reminded me of Citronella, like the stuff you burn to keep mosquitoes away. That, combined with a touch of incense and rose. I love rose perfumes and unfortunately this one was disappointing. The bottle is beautiful but I think for the price it would at least need better longevity/projection

Very pretty, but very linear and simple. Realistic, watery rose fragrance with a hint of lemon. Very little incense. If you are familiar with some cultures, or Latin-Catholic practices, it reminds me of “Agua de Rosas” or those rose-scented rosarios de la Virgen Maria que dan en las iglesias. I just tried this one on my skin once.
