Xuxú

I blind bought a full size bottle of Xuxu. I own 7 different full size bottles from House of Bo. This house does fragrance like no other house. This parfum is gorgeous. Anyone scared of the chili pepper, don’t be. It’s fleeting, but adds depth in the beginning. The champagne, blackberry, rose and vanilla are the stars here. Is this groundbreaking? No. Not at all. But it’s gorgeous. I hear people say it’s Delina (which I own) but with blackberry. I get that, but this is more complex and more beautiful. The ONLY issue I have with this is longevity. I’m getting 2-3 hours on skin. 4 on clothes. Maybe I become nose blind to it. This is my first full day trying this out. I’ll need to spend more time with her. But, I LOVE this fragrance. When Ave Maria came out last year, I blind bought the full size bottle too. I was disappointed at first. But then it became a staple in my spring/summer rotation. I already love this. I see the same thing happening with Xuxu.

This opening is seriously to die for. Effervescent, bright citrus and then the pepper hits the back of my nose and really adds a fun kick! 🌶️🥂 The opening dies down for me around 20 minutes in and the blackberry/macaron is what I notice next. A tiny bit of gourmand. Very soon after the rose comes in too and intertwines with the macaron. About 1-2 hours in is where I get the Delina comparison pretty strongly. I can appreciate it, but this beauty has much more dimensionality. I always wear my fragrances on my skin, and I am getting solid longevity, personally. The mid notes haven't faded too much until ~8hrs, and I still have a noticeable vanilla/saffron musk at that point. Still get some whiffs of the rose/macaron from where my clothes touched as well. I might agree this may not be groundbreaking per-say, but damn is the opening worth it! Also, this has far more of a fun/transformative wear than anything I've seen it compared to.

A burst of sass in the opening with champagne and a little rebel kick of chile that my nose loves! There's the clementine that comes in to sweeten things up a bit. Xuxú has a gorgeous rose note that intertwines with the macaroon, my nose does not get the tea as other do, but the vanilla and the saffron are prominent making Xuxu a rebel one, but also elegant and classy. The musc on Xuxu serves to give it a wonderful balance to my nose: it's not screechy, but it is still loud enough to get your attention. Sit with Xuxu for a day or two, and you'll see that she borrows from no other fragrance simply because she shares a note (lYKYK)

I almost never blind buy fragrances, but I did with this one, and it was a huge success for me. I crave this scent! If you're expecting a gourmande, you'll be disappointed. But if you want a light, airy, very delicately sweet rose scent, this could be for you. On my skin, I get the champagne and chili powder strongly at first, then it settles into this ethereal fairy princess rose with a dusting of berry and vanilla sweetness and a hint of chili pepper still in the background. Absolute love.

this is amazing. the spice is controlled and allows the softness of the rose and champagne to come through. one of the only blackberry perfumes i’ve tried, and it’s so appealing. sweet without becoming overwhelming. this is refined and definitely a crowd-pleaser. i first tried it at scent bar in nyc, as well as a bunch of other house of bo releases. i can see this house quickly becoming one of my favorites. super excited to have this one in my collection

I blind bought this as I love HOB and their feminine fragrances (I own bombon & ave Maria). It is gorgeous, but it smells identical to dopamine rose by l’epoque parfums to me and I already have that fragrance so it’s a bit redundant for me. It’s a watery, bright modern rose scent. It’s perfect for anyone who usually hates rose, but wants to find a rose they actually like. I’d be down to sell it to anyone interested since I already have a scent like it.

I love it! It was a blind buy and I got seriously terrified right before it arrived that maybe I made a mistake. However, it’s my very first rose scent and I absolutely love it. I really love fizzy, sparkling, fruity scents and this is just a perfect first rose for me for that reason. It feels flirty and fun and sparkling I truly love it. I find that it lasts quite long on my skin, same as Ava Marie

For me this is a very fresh rose with hints of macaron making it creamy. The white musk is very present on the dry down. It is beautiful. It is addictive. I had to have it. I snagged it before prices went up. I will eagerly be awaiting sales if I ever purchase from them again! They are too over priced!

I think it's beautiful. I was afraid when people used the word jammy, but it's way lighter and I don't get jam. The clementine is stunning until the citrus note fades, and then it's a rather intimate rosy sweet saffron scent that lingers. House of Bō nailed it.

I really like this one. I find it sparkling and very pretty. Performance isn’t the best on my skin but I still really enjoy it. I don’t find it to be very similar to Delina or Impadia. I actually don’t like Impadia.

Xuxu is what I wanted Delina to be minus that rhubarb note that ruins it for me. Since Nina Ricci’s Rose Extase is discontinued and Atomic Rose is more expensive, I may need this fragrance in the future.

This is one of the best-smelling and “me” perfumes that I smelled in a while. It’s so playful and fun but feminine and elegant. It’s not overpowering but not boring. The best fruity floral ever!

Ditto to all the things said below by @Aroma_Antics. Similarly to her, I find that there is almost a rebellious nature to Xuxú but in the most sophisticated and elevated way. A stunner!

This is so pretty...it is everything I wish Delina was. This is soft, elegant and mildly gourmand.

A love child of Delina and MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold

If I didn't know what this was, I could probably identify the house just by the lingering signature. House of Bo fragrances all have a bit of a 'mineral/earthy' note to them... definitely not in a bad way.... Just in a way that is easy for me to pick out. I like that. Kind of like Chanel... you know every Chanel perfume right from the get-go. I have full bottles of La Mar, Ave Maria, Agua de Santos, Casa Blanca and now Xuxu. And minis of all their other scents except Cosmos. I was a bit surprised that they chose to do another rose-centric fragrance for their 2026 release. Rosario is also beautiful... a fruity, lighter rose. This is beautiful, as well. But not mind-blowing. The opening is a strong, (not screechy) sparkling heavy and bright floral/rose. The opening reminds me a lot of BDK Impadia. But then Impadia dries down to a soft floral vanilla/sandalwood. Xuxu just keeps going strong with the rose. I find this quite unlike any of the three Delinas, other than the fact that they are all rose-based fragrances. It does give a bit of a "designer" vibe, which is unusual for House of Bo. Mid to strong projection and decent longevity on my skin. I will try some of HoB suggestions for layering this one for sure. It needs a little umph. Not a love, but no regrets.

UPDATE: I'm going to give it Xuxu more time as I'm starting to like it the more I wear it. On my skin, Xuxu opens with a big splash of champagne and then the rose kicks in... hard but, smooth. I thought to myself, this smells so familiar, LOL. Now, is the blackberry note some kind of new molecule that smells like rose and/or rose? Macarons, where? After about 2 hours or so, I do get a touch of sweetness, probably from the vanilla. I'm hoping it gets stronger as the weeks go by. It's been 5 hours since I sprayed and it's an intimate scent bubble. It's a beautiful fragrance but the House of Bo needs to knock it off with flamboyant marketing!

I sampled this before reading/watching any reviews and got Delina right away. It has a sharp opening but I found it to go away rather quickly. With Delina, the tartness lingers throughout the whole life of the wear. With Xuxu, that's not the case. Also, Delina is more rose forward. Although I can still smell the rose in Xuxu, it's a lot more blended where it doesn't stick as a singular note, as much. I can see myself getting a bottle if I didn't already have Delina La Rosee.

I’m not a huge rose fan so I appreciate the berries & vanilla, however, I do wish the earl grey note was more prominent. I think they could’ve leaned into the theme a litttle harder. But it’s pretty, I’ll definitely wear it, and it’s inoffensive. I don’t think anyone NEEDS it though. I get the effervescent brightness at the top, then the jammy blackberry really comes through. The rose is there but not super prominent, then it’s all vanilla & a warm saffron.

I feel like I may be in the minority of comments here, but I kinda like this one in a weird way. While not my favorite from House of Bo, my skin loves the chili notes, and I'm definitely getting the sweet, fruity, saffron, vanilla, and musk notes. The rose is very in the background, but it could be that my nose is more familiar with their Rosario perfume, which is a very vibrant slap in the mouth kinda rose (I mean this is the best way).

Firstly if you already have one of the Delinas or Impadia this may be redundant for you and honestly the projection and longevity is terrible, I wanted so much for this to be different but it lacks imagination and I smelled no tea notes or macaron or even the pepper. It’s a pretty skin scent and that’s all . Disappointed for sure after all the hype

This is a well-executed take on a fruity floral, the opening smells to me like passionfruit or peach. It dries down to a palatable, girlie, sweet and powdery rose. A cousin of Delina. Likeable and pretty but a bit too innocent for my taste. I no longer feel like Delina has a place in my collection and to me, this ticks the same box.

This is like a slightly softer version of Delina. It doesn't have the same level of tartness at the very beginning that Delina has - but that is really the only difference to me. If you have Delina, I don't think you need this one (unless you're looking for more of that DNA and just want a fancy, pretty bottle.)

It’s a very beautiful feminine floral scent. Very pretty. I mostly get rose. People always try to say that ross smells very grandma. But I can appreciate the classic smell to it. The pepper not screechy to me. It’s a safe buy for those that like a fruity rose scent. Not the best one out there but lovely.

I don't know who needs to hear this today, but you do not need this perfume. I have a tendency to purchase HoB fragrances blind because I am such a sucker for the aesthetic and branding, and really am just collecting at this point. They remain to firmly be mid layering scents imho. I keep rooting for them, because I do think the brand has possibilities of being a great house but what keeps them from being great is the inability to properly gauge when restraint is needed. Xuxu is billed as a scent that a younger Marie Antoinette might wear with couture and sneakers, but in reality it's a scent that Hannah Montana would wear to her 8th grade graduation. What HoB believes is coquettish and untamed, is in reality quite immature and feels almost unfinished. The scent opens with a very fizzy champagne note, anchored by the clementine, with wisps of chili pepper. I was a little concerned because it was feeling very tropical, but when that clementine dissipates it's still a bubbly vibe going into the mid. In the mid I get strong blackberry and soft notes of macaron/almond. Earl grey is there too, but its so fleeting it's a real shame. The rose here is similar to Rosario, but not as dewy, the rose is really pretty and anchors this scent. The base is nothing revolutionary, it's just musk, mexican vanilla, and saffron, it's creamy and a bit too sweet. I will say I do love the vanilla in here and I hope to see it other compositions, it's polished, edible but fragrant. IMHO this is HoB's most successful attempt at a true gourmand. So with all that good, I'm sure you are wondering why you don't need it.. It's because this scent on skin is so flat and so boring you might as well be wearing Bath and Body Works. The beautiful nuances of this scent only live on paper. There was too much restraint here, they gave us a Marie Antoinette that is eating low fat cake while drinking a mimosa flavored sparkling water. Marie Antoinette is decadence untamed. This could have been more but they decided to make it less, they were unwilling to commit to the bit. This scent feels like a bid to create something so mainstream and so inoffensive it could become their flagship fragrance. It even feels like an answer to how Cosmos was received, because it was very avant garde. HoB is going through an identity crisis it seems they want to stand out but want to be apart of the mainstream ala MFK. TL:DR -The scent smells like champagne, roses, blackberries and lite vanilla batter, with hints of earl grey and chili pepper -It's not unique it's all marketing, you have smelled this before, off the top of my head it reminds me of Gucci Premiere, D&G Dolce Rosa Excelsia, Burberry Her Elixir, and a bit like Chanel Allure, Lattafa Yara -Femme-leaning -6hr wear time -Pretty scent but nuances are lost on skin -Spring/Summer scent -Will pair well with YSL Libre, Nette The Vanille Wait for it to get to stores or wait for them to sell the travel size. Do not listen to influencers this one is VERY subjective. I will keep testing and report back.

First and foremost, XuXu is a beautifu fragrance, the bottle is beautiful. I adore the amethyst stone that the cap is made out of. Now let’s get deeper into my experience with the fragrance. I was very interested in XuXu so, I went into my nearest Blue Mercury store and sampled it because a YouTube influencer said it wasn’t a safe blind buy. They were absolutely correct, XuXu reminds me of Atomic Rose in the opening to the middle with hints of Atelier’s Des Ors Pink me up. It then developed into Thameen’s Patiala in the dry down and on my skin I picked up on leathery/ rubbery notes. XuXu is a pass for me, essentially she is just another Rose fragrance. I have Rosario, I was hoping for something mind blowing, a little confectionery delight, an elevate version of strawberries and champagne with some macarons, a touch Moroccan rose water pudding sprinkled with pistachios, you know snacks you would feed to your XuXu while they lay their head in your lap. My advice try XuXu before you buy XuXu.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you do not need to blind buy this fragrance. I quite enjoy the opening and I've gotten compliments, but I'd recommend waiting for some decants to pop up online if you are on the fence. The saffron makes it less sweet than other fragrances in this family and there is a greenness to it as well. Those notes can be polarizing, so take a pause if you aren't sure about those. Rose, blackberry, and saffron/vanilla are the most prominent notes to my nose. The marketing team has decided the green note is "Earl Grey tea". Reader, there is not Earl Grey anything in here. Edited to add: After the beautiful opening, it turns into a skin scent fairly quickly (10-20 minutes). I need to reapply every ~3 hours. Maybe longevity will get better after it sits. Second edit: the base is some sort of amberwood accord that isn't listed in the notes (think Noyz Unmute or the Bath and Body Works Valaya dupe). I don't like this note

Disclaimer- I do not like rose scents eg I despise Delina. However - the ridiculous hype around Xuxu made me reach for a sample in the vane hope rose was in the background and the myriad of notes so gushed about online was something I could enjoy. Nope. This is just a dull rose scent. I am sure if you like rose notes then you will find some joy with Xuxu. For me this was so disappointing - so linear- just a basic rose scent. Loved Ave Maria from the same house - a beautiful scent which deserves the attention; Xuxu pales in comparison. This really highlights, for me, how silly the role of the perfume influencer is becoming. From someone who dislikes rose - this scent is NOT the new Delina, not now or next month, not ever. Hope this helps some rose lovers out there.

Opening is Delina, dry down is Angel Nova......maybe a little bit of Nest Lychee Rose, as well. Not worth it. I say this as someone who raves about House of Bō scents( I own every scent except for Cosmos and Infiniteoud) and who generally looks forward to their newest additions. I’m fatigued by the ubiquitousness of Delina dna and I don’t want to wait for dry down for something that smells similar to Angel Nova when Angel Nova costs less and projects /lasts more. The opening is also very harsh to my nose.... there’s a note in the opening that smells screechy and rancid to me. I have the feeling the combination of champagne and blackberry is the culprit

I don't typically like florals, but something about the peppery spice notes got my attention, and I was given a sample of it anyway. I do really like the vanilla base, the peppery top note wears off quite quickly and you're left mostly with a typical rose scent. This is definitely a 'perfumey' fragrance, which I guess isn't super surprising given the notes. Definitely feminine, probably for a woman older than me. Maybe in her 40s or 50s.

I was super excited for this but am honestly disappointed. It just smells like any other high end fragrance you can get at the store, just kind of boring in my opinion. It's not gross or bad, it just feels like I've smelled this so many times in other fragrances

I mostly get rose, champagne and blackberry. It’s very similar to Pink Me Up. I do like it but not sure it’s worth the price tag. I’ll probably keep wearing it and see if I decide to keep it. It will be really nice to wear in spring so that’s good at least.

As someone who typically enjoys House of Bo fragrances and finds them rather unique, Xuxu was a letdown. It’s been said over and over again: “a pretty floral” with poor performance. I have nothing else to add.

Vibrant red, plushy huge rose with a juicy , uplifting sparkly fruity champagne. It’s very enjoyable and pretty but after an hour it’s a skin scent ! I love me a skin scent but NOT at this price.

its a fruity rose scent. i definitely was getting bright lychee in the opening and then it wore down to a dull rose. i dont like rose fragrances all that much so this was OK

How much did House of Bo pay these Perfumetok influencers!? The amount of hype is not warranted. There is NOTHING special here, it's the PDM Delina DNA. That's it.

Just the same screechy rose note as Delina or BDK Impadia. I literally get nothing else from the other listed notes. Pass.

House of BŌ Xuxú is a very pretty scent in the opening. Similar to BDK Impadia and Initio Can't get Enough without the sometimes smoky woody musk in Impadia from the akigalawood. Xuxú does have as much sandalwood as the two though, but the sweet-tart rose is more prominent than both with similarities to Delina making it even more feminine. BDK and Initio are feminine too but men can get away with wearing, since the woodiness is creamy and a little spiced with a not as sweet rose that resembles Guidance more. Xuxú gets a little sharp like Delina from the lychee whereas the other two are more woody smooth, with Can't get Enough being the most refined since it doesn't annoyingly develop a smoky musk like Impadia. Unfortunately, something in Xuxú makes my stomach turn once in a while as it dries. I think because the woodiness sometimes comes off as pencil shavings and paired with the tart powdery rose, it doesn't agree with me. Was going to request as a birthday gift after Balmain Rose de Soie sold out and my sister's order got cancelled, but it's a pass now.

I wanted to love this. The notes read like perfection. I was especially intrigued to see whether the red chilli would add a gentle piquancy to the gourmand facets, or bring a sparkling lift to the florals. Based on the reviews, I was anticipating a fizzy, effervescent opening, followed by that delicate macaron sweetness, blackberry nuance, and soft tea heart, something like an elevated, refined take on Pink Me Up. But I can’t get past the opening. There’s a distinctly vegetal, capsicum greenness that overwhelms the composition from the outset for me. I found Xuxu more savoury than sparkling and it completely disrupts the effect I was hoping for. I wish I’d had the positive experience of others. It’s so important to test fragrances to see how they react with your skin chemistry! I’m a big fan our HoB and have La Mar and Ave Maria. The red wine note in Ave Maria really makes it special and I was hoping for the same in Xuxu.

First of all it doesn’t smell like the compare perfumes to my nose at all! It’s nothing like Delinas! I love my Delinas especially La Rosee! Second of all please please don’t blind buy unless you love strong musk like Erba Pura and etc. or take La Capitale take away Oud and add ton of musk and you get XuXu. This is sweet, rosy but that musk takes over everything. If you enjoy that, go for it but I personally can’t stand it. It’s really headachy and overwhelming. Plus to all of that very overpriced because you can get that sickly musk for way cheaper from other brands like Tiziana Terenzi. (Kirke, Andromeda, Draco and etc) That musk is a killer of all joy and everything living. 🫠 I guess that how they tried to interpret the sparkling champagne note when the bubbles come up your nose from being so carbonated. 🫣

I blame myself for blind buying this. Selling my full bottle on Mercari if anyone is interested. It smells very nice but I don't like rose but I got sucked in by the hype and the beautiful bottle. It opens with a champagne and you get the rose. The same bitter rose that's in delina (doesn't smell like delina just the rose part) Wear time was 2 hours before I had to look for the scent. I'm thinking maybe this just needs to macerate for the other notes to come out. I've noticed that even with niche brands they need some time to sit.

I bought XUXU as a blind buy due to all of the highly rated reviews . This was my first House of Bo purchase. It’s an ok scent...nothing life changing or “it girl” about in my opinion . It did not last on my skin or clothing. Typically I get comments about how good I smell with other perfumes. I have a nice collection of niche and designer perfumes. With XUXU....zero comments. I even asked my family and a few coworkers and they couldn’t smell it either . Save your money on this one .

Yuck. Don’t listen to fragrance influencers. Everything is ‘amazing,’ ‘stunning,’ and ‘life-changing’ to them. Don’t fall for the hype. It’s not blind-buy safe

My review is not just about this fragrance but also about the experience with my first impulse purchase of a new release. XuXu has a beautiful opening. Bright, citrus, effervescent. That’s where the beauty begins and ends. In comes musky saffron and cayenne balancing lightly on rose. It smells reminiscent of Impadia but with sharp and spicy undertones. It then dies quickly into an uninspired skin scent that is unpleasant. It only lasted on my skin for 30 min, on my clothes for two hours and 2 hours on a testing strip. I get no tea from this fragrance which is a total letdown. The process of getting this perfume was a nightmare. I wont lie. The amazing marketing along with all the influencers got me. I do love a few other scents from HOB. I felt like they are a luxury brand that I could trust with putting out a beautiful fragrance but unfortunately that was not the case. I hope they take the time to reflect on this disastrous pre order situation. The cold customer service and how they can provide samples of new releases so people are not blind buying and being totally let down. When you are spending this kind of money on a perfume the execution in every aspect is critical.

Honestly this perfume and house sucks so much. Most of their online hype is from paid influencers. I ordered from them and the bottle arrived busted. They ignored all my customer service emails and wouldn't post my review showing the bottle defects. They really treated me like dirt, which is crazy for the price point. So go for it you want to risk $400 on a perfume whose reviews are totally faked.

Mediocre influencer house, and yet another disappointing fragrance. Reminds me of PDM but somehow more pretentious.

An oriental fragrance where the vanilla is a little abstract. It opens with a toned down rose. Like the same level of sweetness in Rosario but not as uplifting and peppy. the chili adds warmth but not in a peppery way. It’s actual heat I’m sensing, like warmth and sensuality. The tea is a little aromatic, it smells more like dry tea herbs than that balmy aromatic scent from a steaming brewed cup. This definitely leans in the oriental fragrance direction with some gourmand characteristics. Definitely unisex. I’m surprised it was released as we head into spring. This would be a great date night scent in the fall; somewhere in the neighborhood of Teriaq Intense, L’Interdit Absolu, Hibiscus Mahjad, Ananda Royal Mango, or Chloe Orchidee de Minuit—even Dior Addict without all the green-ness. Not saying dupes or even siblings... COUSINS! A fruity, spicy abstract vanilla. On second thought. it could be a spring or summer evening scent too but I’d be hesitant to wear this in the day. When I get out of my mind what I expected it to be vs what it is, then I like it even more. It is very attractive! The more I sniff it, the more I want to bite my arm. Seems to project well. Can’t speak for longevity but I can come back to rate that. I think the value is in the ingredients and not necessarily in its originality. So I can see why people are torn. Personally, I’m happy to have it.
