Genesis

Finally this brand on fragrantica! So I can share my views :) I got this before Christmas, it was blind buy and omg it was one of the best blind buys I made :) This is warm cosy scent. Defo for colder weather. It kind of reminds me oud for greatness without oud if it makes sense. The saffron and rose makes it sweet and jammy but the dry down is deep, creamy and woody at the same time. Longevity is amazing, but the projection I am not sure about. Feels strong but at the same time I feel like I am in my own bubble, anyway it doesn’t bother me at all, I enjoy the scent not really care if people around me can smell me, as it is more comforting scent an I love it 😍

Th opening of this is absolutely amazing, it's sweet, jammy and somewhat powdery. Then the dry down is more deep and creamy from the sandalwood and tobacco notes, I was a bit worried I wouldn't like this due to the deeper fragrance profile but this is such a nice and warm scent, perfect for date night for either a man or a woman. The longevity on this is also no joke, I've had shirts that have gone 2-3 days with this perfume still lingering on them before being washed. No need to overspray, it can definitely be a bit overpowering but it's a beautiful scent. I definitely reccommend :).

This is a very sensual, sexy scent with a distinct Middle Eastern feel. The saffron is especially beautiful here, adding a rich warmth that feels refined rather than overpowering. It’s not typically the style of fragrance I gravitate toward, but I can absolutely appreciate how well blended it is. On my skin, the tobacco note dominates, and I mainly get rose and tobacco throughout the wear. On my friend, though, it smells stunning and much more balanced. If you tend to love warm, woody fragrances, I’d say this is a pretty safe blind buy.

Super yummy! Smells like a tropical yogurt with peach and pineapple. Slightly sweet, but also fresh and creamy at the same time. I don’t really feel the notes listed. Maybe the sample mixed up with Guava Sorbet from the same brand?! No... just sprayed it and compare. They are different. Maybe the base is somewhat spicy, but I don’t feel the other notes at all.

There is really nothing special with one, something that you have smelled before (Oud bouquet or Herod), but it has a kind of delicacy on how it is blended. I think it will be appreciated by someone with fine taste who seek sleek composition. Just my 5 cents.

This is a nice spicy, woody, slightly sweet tobacco rose. Unisex. Nothing that exceptional. I would prefer cinnamon. I have enough saffron fragrances. There is something a bit synthetic about this. It might be the javenol. I actually would prefer more tobacco as well. It needs something else to really make this special. More tobacco, cinnamon. Saffron just like ginger is overused today. I think my nose is getting tired of both. They aren't as smooth as other spices. The only fragrance with saffron that doesn't have that metallic tang to it I own is Providence perfume co Rose Boheme. That is still my favorite woody rose/Patchouli combo. Along with Le Mat. I think I will have to visit Providence perfume co and have a more feminine tobacco rose fragrance created for me. I can't seem to find one on the market I like enough to buy.

Genesis isn't my cup of tea but I can appreciate it. I immediately get strong tobacco, wood and suede on opening and middle. Very well blended and a true unisex. This would smell incredibly sexy on a man! On dry down it is becomes a gently smooth spice with a tiny bit of rose. Interesting and made me think. Very very smooth and well blended just not my scent profile.

The opening smelled almost exactly like an almost-flat Coke. It’s like a warm coke with a little bit of spice to it. I am generally not into sweet fragrances, but this one somehow isn’t too much for me. This is my second House of Brandt frag to sample and both of them have been very smooth and sophisticated scents. To me, Genesis is an inoffensive, easy scent to throw on before leaving the house. Nothing remarkable but a solid choice and smells nice 👍 Roommate comment: too sweet and cloying 🤢

I am very meh about this. The scent profile is not unique enough for it to be a love, I prefer the same scent profile without the tobacco in the dry down. If you are looking for a spicy rose with a bit more edge and oomph, you may want to give this a shot, but I like a sweet spicy rose not a smoky spicy rose. It's not masculine by any means and still pleasant smelling (the dry down reminds me of Liis Bo almost, which I like) but just not for me. I will use up my sample though!

Someone said this was close to Safran Troublant, so I ordered a sample. Eh not at all really. It actually smells like oud bouquet with that synthetic sandalwood. Don’t get me wrong, it’s enjoyable and pretty but I already own this Dna, so for me it’s a pass. I’m still looking for something that smells like Safran Troublant. I do like this dna, I just oud bouquet did it better.
