Summer Street

This opens with a loud, fresh, herby, sweet, syrupy blast. It quickly settles into a warm floral reminiscent of Lush Rose Jam but more sophisticated and complex. On me it became a very warm, golden hour in late summer feeling. It settles into that space for a few hours and then finally fades into a soft, honey, skin scent. It is mostly gone after about 5-6 hours, just a faint trace left. I did not love the opening on my first try, but the dry down was so delicious I kept going back to it. By the third try I was in love, respraying it after about 4 hours to keep it going. I first found it during winter and it definitely gives the feeling of being outside at the end of a hot summer day, very nostalgic. I love it.

I just got a sample of this from LuckyScent and it's definitely a love at first try. I was looking for a fresh, fruity floral for summer, and this fits the bill. The honey is sweet and not too animalic. It's bright and juicy, rich and airy at the same time which for me, is perfection. It's not a room rocker, but creates a nice sweet bubble. Can't speak to longevity yet, but I've got the feeling I'll have to respray in three or four hours. The benzoin and cedar are quite nice in the dry down, balanced on a soft cushion of vanilla. It's simply gorgeous and definitely FB worthy in my opinion.

Delightful but be aware this is not a bright and breezy affair! This is for autumn wear. This is a jammy apricot connoction with delightful honeysuckle reminding us of summer. I do reckon Summer Memories would be a more apt name but "Street' does allude to a passage and is more poetic! The scent is suitable for the transition into autumn and will be delightful reminder of warmer days when the temperaature starts to drop. For me - this is apricot and honeysuckle and finally honey dominant. Solar vibes for the cooler weather.

Gosh, it’s beautiful! Even though it’s called “Summer street”, this is more of a spring or early autumn fragrance to me, it’s a bit too sweet for summer, at least for summer where I live. It’s more fruity than floral to me, I see some similarities with “Dolce Melodia” by Sospiro, both have this plushy, velvety vibe.

I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about this one. I am a big fan of Brandt overall. I was hoping this would be more fruity... that apricot jam note sounded amazing and I love blackcurrant. But on my skin I don’t get much of any of the fruity notes. This pretty much just smells like florals and honey on my skin. Not bad, just not what I was looking for. Update: been wearing this the last couple days and it is really lovely. I get more of the fruity notes when I spray it on clothes vs skin. The longevity is really good - I’ve worn this to bed and still smelled it on my arm in the morning!
