Polaris

I got 3 bottles and 2 samples in today from House of Cosmo and so far I've checked out New Eden and Polaris (I'll be reviewing them all in due time), but Polaris is far superior out of the first 2 I've tried (to me, of course). Polaris is a freshie and I totally get the YSL comparison- although this one is slightly different. Could it be the magical note of "stardust" or maybe the suede? I also get a more pronounced minty vibe with this one when compared to YSL L'homme (the biggest comparison I see to Polaris is YSL Ultime, but I'd say Polaris is closer to L'homme). All in all, Polaris is a YES for me. Edit- I just checked out YSL Ultime again and I stand corrected, Polaris is a lot like Ultime- not L'homme. Still think it's a great scent though! I will ABSOLUTELY be wearing this frequently. Edit #2 - I love the woody base in this one and I SWEAR there's a slight hint of tobacco hiding in the base. I got whiffs of it at least twice throughout the day. And longevity is great as well.

Polaris, definitely a familiar DNA, however House of Cosmos twist is done very well. Crisp with citrus on open, and almost a flinty quality with the “stardust” accord, its energetic and quite bright on the rip. Incredibly worthy of a North Star title, Polaris burns with aromatics in the heart and a geranium thats classic and familiar. The base a tonka and musky vetiver that gives, clean and easy to wear as a daily. scent bubble and sillage moderate on this one arm to 5ft . longevity 6-7hrs. Safe for all year, anytime. leans a tad masc

Polaris is basically like a Jeffrey. He's that guy who’s always dressed well and likable... but not the most interesting dude in the room. This is not an indictment on the fragrance, I personally love it. A fresh, blue shower gel that has a great citrus opening, and a deceivingly smooth sweetness underneath. The sage really stands out but the suede and rose are really missing here and I think ending on those two notes could've made this special.

Pretty much the ideal neutral masculine freshie to my nose, and Polaris ended up being the full bottle I chose to buy using the voucher from the HoC's discovery set. Not too citrusy, not too sweet, not too barbershop-y or "mature," not too soapy. Just a great blue daily driver scent with great performance that I couldn't see anyone really disliking. Not every fragrance needs to be challenging or "groundbreaking."

Out of the entire line I decided to get a full bottle of Polaris..It reminded me of classic men's designer fragrances back in the day and after wearing it a few times i now realized it reminds me a lot of the discontinued Armani Attitude, Which is one of my all-time favorite fragrances! This is like a very nice twist on it. I'm happy to have finally found something similar.

If you like Speed Legends but want something with a bit more 'body' and sweetness, Polaris is it. It has that same airy, high-speed freshness in the opening, but the dry down is much smoother and sweeter thanks to the tonka. It feels more playful and versatile than Speed Legends, which can sometimes feel a bit too sharp. Great longevity and a total compliment-getter

Phenomenal but not unique. YSL L’Homme Ultime was discontinued and I’ve been savoring my last few mLs ever since. These two are incredibly similar but Polaris performs much better. Better projection, better longevity. It’s not even close. If you’re a L’Homme Ultime fan mourning the discontinuation, don’t sleep on this one. It’s a perfect spring/summer scent

Polaris is my favorite masculine scent from the line! It’s that Lafayette st. DNA but done fresher and better imo 😮💨 I’ve recieved so much good feedback and compliments! Perfect all year rounder imo!

Really nice. Freshie. Dry down reminds me of very sexy for him by Victoria’s Secret. Really bubbly and biting (in a good way). Kinda intoxicating.

A year round daily driver fresh spicy citrus with a touch of sweetness a compliment puller with great performance.

I actually really like this scent. It’s fresh and slightly sweet. It’s a nice everyday scent that would easily be an easy reach. I would only like to add that I really have smelt this scent before. This is a 1:1 with the brand Guy Foxes “JP”, which has been out for some time now. I smelled them side-by-side and I couldn’t even tell a difference I know fragrance is art and it’s hard to say if someone replicates something but this is copy paste without giving credit where credit is due.

Yeah this one was hyped up way too much. It's a good masculine daily driver, not groundbreaking by any means. If it was half the price I would say it's worth it but 200+ seems too much for a generic scent like this. I'll enjoy my 10ml while it lasts but don't see myself getting more or a full bottle once it's gone. Maybe it does more for you but for me it just doesn't have any it factor to make it standout over this well saturated scent profile.

While this is my favorite fragrance from this house, it definitely isn't something I "have" to have. I purchased the Cosmo sample kit, and they create decent stuff, but nothing stands out as hype-worthy. This house reminds me a lot of Michael Malul in the style of fragrances they produce. They all smell good, and the masses will like them, but they are only so slightly above designer grade.

I think its good, it smells very citrusy, fresh, green, and masculine. Like if you have a fresh lemonade drink at a barbershop. but there is plenty of scents that can do the same, Blind buy safe as its very versatile, BUT if your looking for something revolutionary get something else. it reminds me of Speed legends but toned down and more fresh less spicy. 7.9/10

A mass-appealing, masculine blue freshie. Nothing out of the ordinary, but still nice.

So this is my first fragrance from the house of Cosmos and while the scent is nice, mass appealing, and well blended, the longevity and projection sucks... I don’t know who said this fragrance has enormous projection, but they clearly have been smoking crack for too long.... I bathe my forearms in this stuff today, both of them and it was gone within three or four hours, and I believe this is supposed to be an Extrait.... Maybe I went nose blind to it or something, but I just don’t think it lasts that long and I’m sorry if I’m going to drop two or $300 on a fragrance, I want to project and last all day.... I know a lot of fragrance enthusiast that have the money to drop on a fragrance and spend $600 and literally the fragrance is gone within a couple hours, but I just don’t think the ROI on a two to $300 fragrance when it only lasts a few hours is worth it... I just don’t, regardless of how great it smells... I love afternoon swim, probably one of the best orange Citrus fragrances on the planet, but it’s gone literally within 30 minutes and to me that’s not worth it per dollar spent... this reminds me a little of Chanel Bleu, just a little... bright, citrusy, boring

This opens up very fresh, clean and soapy with some light sweetness underneath it. In the dry down I can smell the tonka, and a bit of the suede. It’s an okay scent, nothing ground breaking. It’s funny how all these influencers hyping up the “stardust” note, but I didn’t see the same thing when it came to armafs club de nuit bling which features the same note. To me this smells like azzaro chrome. Its not even remotely close to speed legends, l’homme ultime, or moncler sunrise pour homme. For this scent profile I'm better off buying chrome, but if imma be spending $200+ for a fragrance that has that chrome dna id rather just get lv meteore

Basic blue shower gel scent. Very disappointed in this fragrance since it’s not unique nor ground breaking. Can be a good gym or office scent, but you can get the same or better in a designer scent for much cheaper. 5.5/10 and not pleased with the amount of hype this received.

A slightly brighter take on a geranium designer fragrance. For all the hype this house gets, they all kind of smell boring to me. Not anything bad, just ok.

This smells like if you made YSL L'Homme Ultime into a thicker parfum concentration and mixed it with Moncler Sunrise Pour Homme. It's very much in the same genre of these plus Speed Legends, Loewe 7 Cobalt, etc. It has a sparkly citrus opening like Ultime (shares a lot of the same notes), just not quite as bright. Polaris has this prominent mid/base though that you get almost immediately which instantly reminds me of the mid/drydown of Sunrise Pour Homme. It's probably a mix of the suede/tonka/vetiver. It's really smooth and adds a little warmth and darkness to the scent. Very easy to wear and last quite a while. It hovers close to the body though, as heavier "Parfum" concentrations usually do.

I love the smell of stardust in this!
