Fú Dào (福)

Very unique scent. I've tried 8 HoM frangrance samples and I purchased this and Indigo. Its super sexy! Mango and Sticky Rice forward. The Asian characters in the name suit this frangrance well. Its my favorite HoM, and I haven't tried any I didn't like. Considering the cost, I only purchased what I loved and i'd rate this 10/10 if it performed well. Unfortunately it does not so I am going 8.5. I also have a couple tubs of the shave soap, bar soap, and aftershave in this scent. I wished I lived in a climate that would allow me to bring the bottle everywhere I go so I could douse myself with it every few hours on the days I choose to wear it.

Review 2. 福. "Chinese New Years" Upon the very 1st spray, it invoked a childhood memory of sitting in an an accountant's office meeting wtth my father. As a child of the 80s and early 90s I grew up with smoking sections, Joe Camel, Marlboro Man...but this was the cleanest smoke I've ever smelled. It was like endlessly taking a puff out of the final hit of an extremely fancy cigar that leaves no hint of tobacco, just pure smoke. The "gunpowder" note is actually fireworks and it's the most dominant note by far. Very clean. I've rode in a car with someone that said it smelled like I just stepped out of a shower while wearing this, that's how clean the smoke smells. It's impressive, actually. Well blended, top tier unique, but it works well. I will be wearing this to a 4th of July party. There is a drydown of bottlerocket mixed with green florals that is almost barbershop like in an Eastern way. Hints of the occasional spices in the background.
