@Eau De Rous, a few clarifications: The fragrance is already released, and was made available to just friends and colleagues (in a limited edition) of Mr. Georgio, and some where auctioned off. All proceeds of sales have been donated to his estate, managed by his family. Any fragrance can be added to the Fragrantica database - a Fragrantica user simply has to add it to the forum thread for database requests, and then they are added in the order in which they're received. This fragrance is not being made commercially available to my knowledge, it remains just the limited edition that was produced, as a memoriam. There is nothing nefarious at play. As to the details of Mr. Georgio's passing, they were not communicated and are not publicly known. I would add that Mr. Georgio had a generally-regarded positive impact on a particular sub-set of the fragrance community (the YouTube viewership,) and as such many folks came forward wanting to be part of a memorial project, this was a result of that effort.

I won this in a raffle for charity. Now I will comment that this is not ONLY Amber. This has myrrh, frankincense, and a few others. Of course it has Amber in it. I would describe it as in the same ballpark as fragrances like Herod, and stuff like that. I would say this is a darker scent than Herod. It has a Middle Eastern vibe like that. Great scent to say the least, and I really think it is wonderful!

@Eau De Rous I agree to a point. However, if a portion of all proceeds is donated to a good cause, then I be fine with a fragrance named after Chris. For those that knew Chris (I did not know him well), I think he would of been honored to have a fragrance named after him, especially if the fragrance helped raise money for those in need. From what I understood, Chris fought for the underdog, the little guy, if you will. So what's wrong with a fragrance that raises money for a good cause? From my perspective I see AmberChris as a fragrance in membrance of Chris's life. Not his death. Perhaps those that knew Mr Sillage better than I could give their take. For me, if it helps others by raising money for support groups, charities, medical care or anything that helps those suffering from depression, then I'm all for it.

Decent fragrances can go their entire lives without getting a page on Fragrantica. But promoting AmberChris that's not even available yet (but already has a 4.2 Rating on Thanksgiving 2018) by elevating and exploiting the sad memory of a confused and emotionally disturbed lackey of male YouTube reviewers after he takes his own life is indecent.

This is the first time I'm reading where a fragrance is created through séance where a living communicate with the spirit of dead. I hope the formula (of AmberChris) would be closely guarded or destroyed. Mr. Sillage indeed, would be proud of this project! I'd love to try this!
