Eaglewood

I really enjoyed the smell of this perfume. It purely smells of wood (oud). Very outdoorsy and spiritual. Longevity isn't great. It fades quickly (2 hrs). Kinda sad because it means I'll go through it faster. I wouldn't buy it again because that's a fast way to drain my wallet.

This is a clean take on oud. It smells like woody oud mixed with vetiver & honey, creating a soft, forest-green, honey-flavored oud. I know they say it contains only oud & maybe it does but the smell is not that of pure oud that you get from any Middle Eastern oud oil but rather an oud-themed EDP/EDT. Also, like the rest of House of Matriarch's releases, stupidly overpriced at $660 per 50ml bottle. Add insult to injury, here is the description from their official website: ("The real deal." A royal bouquet of sustainable and vintage oud essences from around the world. A spray or dab alone is exquisite and transportative. When used for meditation or other sacred work, it elevates the seeker to higher planes by opening pathways in the brain which enable us to connect with The Divine.) Yeah, no. Eaglewood is a good scent but it seems like HoM are doing their best to make you dislike it. If you want a much better version scent-wise & with a vastly better beastly performance, try Nabeel Oud Vetiver, which is my absolute favorite oud fragrance of all time. It sells for ~$225 for a 100ml EDP that preforms even better than some extraits & parfums.

One of the best ouds I’ve tried. And I’ve tried quite a few! I live in Dubai. But this one is very clean and noble, not sweet for a change. Def one of my favourites. Doesn’t remind me of the Middle East, but rather of Santa Cruz with its hippy lifestyle.

Pure natural oud plain and simple. Nothing else going on here. But you can smell the quality here, no question about it. Good for layering.

I love this oud! Clean and woody. I layered it with the House's rose scent, Khazimi, and it smelled incredible.
