Khephera

I saw a review that said this is what you would smell like once you are mummified and about to be dropped in the ground, so of course I had to try it. The open is a heavy and dark incense on my skin. I pick up musk and a slight green note. I cant detect any florals personally, maybe a little citrus. At first sniff I worried that it is too heavy and a little more on the masculine side, but it does soften, not to a powder, but to a more rounded out scent. It is unlike anything I have tried before and I love it. Smells like something from another time. Makes me think of crumbling stone walls, hidden libraries, and stained glass windows. Sexy and unique.

Khephera is one of the most amazing perfumes to come out of HoM. I feel lucky to have a bottle! I love frankincense and burn it at home often. It always makes my day and lifts my spirit. Khephera does the same but this rendition of frankincense is quite different. Whereas burning frankincense leaves the air smelling of clean, citrusy smoke, a spray of Khephera will take you deep into a hidden, sacred pyramid where the scent of ancient incenses linger. A must have... if you can get your hands on it.

I've tried Khyphera maybe 4 or 5 times, and I keep coming back to the same thing; it's been done before, and BETTER. And the funny thing, it's been done by the SAME brand, well, in different stages. Sex Magic covers the smoky-animalic aspects, Antimony covers the dusty-incense elements, and Coco Blanc covers the gourmand-sweet parts. This, unfortunately, is the marriage of the most middle-of-the-road features of the aforementioned three scents. Khyphera is not at all pedestrian, it's just done MUCH better elsewhere by the brand. It's still DAMN good, but not like the others I mentioned...
