Love this Fragrance - was a blind purchase, which is what I NEVER!!! do, but I trusted the note break down and Matriarch for that matter (especially the collabo b/t Christi and Joseph Sagona). Caramel is definitely the dominate note on my skin, then everything else (woods, vanilla etc) show up in the latter stages of the life of the fragrance. The fragrance projects moderately I think but you do not want a projection beast for this type of Gourmand. I interestingly get 12+ hours on my skin and even when I think its disappeared I get the occasional flushes of the scent. Beautifully blended, I have no regrets. I must say, like the Longing and other Matriarch master pieces, I don't think it is a universally friendly scent for everyone. My wife not a big fan but I love it though. Out of ten 8/10 for me.

My partner has this and it smells great on him. All true vanilla and none of that phoney stuff most vanilla frags smell like. If you love vanilla there's nothing better than the real thing.

I bought a 2 ml sample of this with Witch Musk and Twin Flame. This smells like a wrapped caramel, store bought not homemade, and twigs. That might sound unflattering but it's a decent perfume, different from a lot of vanillas out there. But I have to admit, I'm a bit sad I got mostly caramel and very little vanilla, what with the name and all. It has about the same projection and longevity as all House of Matriarch fragrances. On me, there's four hours of six inches of projection. After the fourth hour, it becomes a skin scent and smells vaguely sweet. Out of all the HoM offerings, Coco Blanc is my favorite. It doesn't last any longer than this, but it does what I expected this to do (ie to be a sweet gourmand). This one really focuses on the sweet-woodsy dynamic (I didn't get any cocoa, sandalwood, or spices). If you're looking for a natural gourmand scent, I'd recommend Coco Blanc.

first off i smell caramel and woods, which is an interesting combination. after a few minutes it smells like a creamier caramel and woods...guess the vanilla is peeking out a bit. and that's all i really seem to get, besides a hint of orris during the drydown. the caramel does die down somewhat and the woods dominate in the drydown as well.

Nouveaunille is warm vanilla, creamy/buttery caramel, woods, resins. Gourmand but not too sweet gourmand. I'm smelling more accords than what's listed. There is very discreet citrus of some sort lifting this up and preventing it from sweet overload. And there's a slight bitter undertone which I love: Fenugreek and woods, maybe? I'd wear this in cool (up to 65°F) to cold weather; it's warming and dry. The woods and resins smell almost nutty like Angel Muse, but with no scratchy patch. It's like an angel redid Angel Muse and came up with this beauty. I've been spraying some for bed. It is soo comforting, especially the woody, resinous drydown with it's sweet residue. It melds with my skin and makes it smell so much better than my skin. I bought this as part of the New Release sample pack during the April 50% sale.
