Cunning Man

Cunning Man opens with a somewhat acidic or sour accord. A first casual whiff and I thought I detected sour pineapple. Confused me because I didn't remember reading prior that pineapple was in the fragrance pyramid. A few more concentrated sniffs and I realized it wasn't pineapple but sour and sharp oak. If you've ever done any woodworking with red oak, you'll know the smell. As Cunning Man dried down, the oak scent remained but the sourness went away and it became more creamy and smoother. I'd attribute that to the leather, tobacco and myrrh. Overall, a pleasant woody scent that remained focused on oak instead of the usual ceder or oud. A masculine fragrance. Longevity is good, with it being a quite noticeable skin scent at the 8 hour mark. The sillage though is at the lower end of moderate after the first half hour. Cunning Man creates a tight scent bubble around the wearer.

Avoid House of Orpheus – Unreliable, Unprofessional and Customer-Hostile House of Orpheus is, by far, one of the most unprofessional and unreliable perfume brands I have ever dealt with. The owner, Marcus McCoy, has openly admitted that he no longer cares about perfumery, the industry or even his own customers. This is reflected in how he operates – delays are intentional, customer service is non-existent and if you dare to ask about your order, you’ll be met with hostility rather than assistance. If you browse his own public statements, you'll see that he openly says: • He dislikes the perfume industry and his customers. • He only ships when he feels like it. • If you expect normal customer service, he will cancel your order rather than assist you. • He has lost all passion for perfume and is more focused on blacksmithing. Given all of this, House of Orpheus should not be considered a legitimate business anymore. Any company that continues to accept orders while stating that they have “zero spoons” for customer service is one that is actively stealing from customers while refusing to uphold basic responsibilities. Buy at your own risk and don’t expect to get your order, your money’s worth or even a basic response if something goes wrong.

#cunningman #houseoforpheus Cunning Man, a beautiful fragrance which works around #tobacco and #leather mainly however does portray some #myrrh and #oakmoss along the way. With the first spray it comes across as dry woody and tobacco fragrance which slowly changes with other notes getting into act and joins the party.
