Aurora

This is like a much smoother Lavandes Trianon imo. Citrus, a musky/milky lavender with a lot of sugary sweetness in the background and a hefty dose of dusty/waxy/powdery sandalwood. This sort of background woody accord seems to be the main note Puente uses to give everything this clean/sauna/spa/soap feel - I can detect it in Galavant and in the drydown of Eaden at least. Aurora is alright overall. Very pleasant, although not particularly unique or interesting to me. Still, it's something I'd appreciate smelling on somebody else, or randomly in the air.

Lavender, Lavender, Lavender - actually one of my fav notes! a good quality one from Brihuega, Spain. Intensely floral, kinda sweet and rich in linalool, slightly hearthy and herbaceous is treated by Eliam Puente to almost delete its camphoraceous aspects. There is more than a touch of amaretto which makes the scent decadent in a sense and the feeling I have is to eat a lavender dessert, a feeling that gets amplified as the perfume develops because of the vanilla in the base. Jasmine and rose are there to amplify the floral facets of the lavender without overthrowing it. I am surprised that no-one mentioned the similarity with Forreau Noir. Some said Boy by Chanel...not at all. If you are looling for a well executed lavender, with no camphoraceous undertones, a gourmand touch, and a slightly retro vibe, than Aurora may be worth at least a test. Follow me on IG @alexolympia6
