Cherry Garden

Official notes : Almond oil, aniseed oil Rose, jasmine Heliotrope, musk Soft, warm and addictive. Not too warm. As warm as a knitted sweater on a sunny October day. I tried it in summer and it worked, but it really is such a fall fragrance in my opinion. It's a very well-done, refined, slightly spicy floral /almond combination. There are no synthetic, chemically parts to get through. It smells extremely natural and high quality. The cherry "effect" comes from Heliotrope and almond and it's more of a floral take on cherry than literal cherry (as if, say Tonka were in here). I'm so happy they went this route. Everything marries together so well that it's difficult to pull out individual notes. It's fluffy, gently powdery and round, especially later in the drydown. It has an intriguing spiky, thorny quality (aniseed), and something slightly bitter green, akin to ivy or violet leaf, that gives it an edge. All of these ingredients together smell so pure, it doesn't compare to anything else in terms of quality. The quality here sets it apart, as well as the way the notes develop and remain true throughout the life of the scent. It's 100% linear on my skin, and I'm glad because complexity & development can be the downfall of some fragrances. Only drawback : Projection is great first thirty minutes or so, then it pulls back and rather quickly becomes a skin scent. Projection isn't the best for the duration. I have to overspray to enjoy it they way I like. Of course, it performs better on clothing, but that's true for most perfumes. It's not the absolute most unique perfume out there, profile-wise, but that's not a deciding factor for me so much as quality and loving the way I smell. For quality and execution, it is very special. I have a really hard time putting it down once I pick it up ( hence addictive). It's amazing to me. I feel this way about all of my favorite HOS fragrances. Each one of them has a beautiful draw that keeps me coming back for more. They just sit right with me. They are high quality, seamlessly blended fragrances that don't pose me any challenges while wearing them. I absolutely adore the few that I own. The bejeweled cupcakes are part of the appeal, yes. Not to say I'd love the juice any less if they came in plain bottles. But because they combine beautiful, well-crafted fragrances with stunning packaging, they're absolutely worth it imo. It's a whole experience I didn't know I was missing before. I've become a huge lover of this brand. Cherry Garden is in my top 3 at the moment. 🍒❤️

I received this in the House of Sillage Signature collection. This is a soft, sweet fragrance. When I first sprayed it, I kept thinking that it reminded me of "something", although I never could put my finger on exactly what. The sillage and longevity, however, are non-existent. For the price, I would expect this to last for days - at least on clothes, but it's gone in a few hours. If it lasted longer, I'd definitely splurge for the full-sized. I can't justify spending that much on a perfume that doesn't last. There are too many out there that last forever for equal or less the price I'd pay for this one. **UPDATE** This scent did remain on a cotton dress and it smells wonderful!!! If it lasted/projected on my skin, I'd be the in line to buy it. ------- Bought the cupcake on sale :-)

this is a deliciously crafted soft gourmand with a hint of cherry blossom floral tones. it is mostly sweet almonds and a wonderful vanilla. i used the whole sample and decided to buy a bottle. i also tried "love is in the air" and felt a need to purchase it as well. the sweet scents in the house of silage smell really amazing to me, and my husband likes them too. not to mention the bottle- which is very sturdy/heavy and has too many crystals to count. the stunning packaging is different from scent to scent. this bottle is pink with gold lid with white crystals, whereas "love is in the air" has blue and silver lid coloring with white crystals. i would suggest a sample for an almond vanilla fan- especially if you like a bit of floral undertones. good luck!

It’s very pretty, I smell something similar to mimosa but than is settles into pretty almond, vanilla and I can smell slight sandal wood. For me it’s about the dry down. The silage isn’t great. The fragrance sits very close to the skin. Very feminine and pretty. It’s not unique, I can smell similarity to other frag, but it’s a beauty still. Update: so I want a full bottle, it is very pretty and I guess silage is good enough because I did get a compliment on how good I smell. It’s very therapeutic probably because of bergamot and sandal wood. I really do love the scent, it’s great all year around on my opinion and could be amazing signature scent.

I love this. It's unique in that there's no dupe I can think of. That's why I want it in my collection.
